"Thank you," T'rin said to Kia. He bowed to her and ushered his Amparath off the sands to eat.
~Don't you worry, Mine, I will have you something to eat very soon.~

Kadan now realized that he had and congradulated T'rin on impressing a bronze. "Nice you impressed a bronze Ta.........or should I say T'rin", he said with a grin. He looked to notice the scratch, "Might want to get that checked or Nike will be all on you about it", he said to him recalling his experience with the stern healer.

T'rin paused and looked back, grinning at his friend. "Don't you worry, Amparath here will make sure of that. He's already been nagging at me." He clapped his hand onto Kadan's shoulder. "Luck, my friend! That little blue looks to be searching for his Mine." He winked at the Candidate, then continued to walk towards the Kitchens to feed Amparath.

Kia was a bit relieved. Even after that she was unscathed ((I think that's the word)). She rubbed her arms gently with a slim smile. Kia looked back happily at T'rin.

~So he Impressed?~
[glow=blue,2,300]Yes, Mine.[/glow]
D'ran smiled. He and a lot of the new Weyrlings wanted to see all the hatching. Almost all of the eggs had hatched. Just one remained and it had cracked.
ooc|| It's 12:00 here. I am off to bed. I'll be on tomorrow. Bye for today!

Kadan gave a grin, "Thanks pal and you did well. Congadulations". Though his friend was already on his way out and didn't seem to hear him. He looked back to the blue, almost sure it would be his. I mean it wasn't like he was going to impress the gold, he laughed at the thought.

~See, the boy who helped those two impressed, what would have happened if you’d helped?~ B’kin scratched Ronoth’s eyeridges again; “You were right Ronoth, sorry I worried you.” Ronoth let go of his candidate’s robe there was a tear at the bottom caused by the bronze’s teeth. Ronoth lay down again and B’kin turned his attention back to the Hatching, what would have happened if he’d helped?
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ R’dan saw Tayrin run towards the two tangled dragons and help them. After the two had been separated he saw the bronze impress the boy. The brownrider clapped for the second bronze’s impression. Kia hadn’t impressed the copper, he noted, even though she had helped. He glanced at the remaining egg for a moment to make sure he wasn’t missing anything then returned to watching the three dragonets.
((Microsoft Word keeps trying to change B'kin's name to bikini @_@...))

Rhia gasped as Tayrin was mauled by the copper dragonet. She gripped her weyrmate's arms tightly, digging her nails into his skin as she watched with suspenseful horror. When Tayrin impressed the little bronze she cheered for him.
"Way to go T'rin!" she cried.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The gold snorted at Kadan as she passed him. He was NOT suitable for HER!
The blue slunk in behind his golden sister, remaining far away from the tangled mess that was his bronze and copper clutchmates. He creeled his hunger and sat on his haunches, refusing to budge another step until his bonded brought meat for him. His eyes briefly whirled with the rainbow colors of Impression and then turned red again.
K'dan! Feed me! Your Hydrath is HUNGRY! I will not move from this spot until you bring me food!
The tiny blue paused and then added, almost as an afterthought. Please?
"Kadan Impressed!" Rhia cried, jumping to her feet with a crow. "What's his name K'dan?!"
"Come Hydrath let us eat", he said to his new dragon. He almost lept in the air for excitement but restrained himself. "May I add that you have a lovely shade of blue", he said to his dragon.
Thank you mine. Now let's go I am really hungry.
K'dan led his blue off the sands waving at those in the sands and at the remaining candidates. He went to them and wished them luck and left. He joined the other new weyrlings in feeding and oiling his dragon. "Everyone this is my new blue friend, Hydrath", he announced to everyone there. Hydrath nodded his head at the others and scarfed down the food that was given to him. "Chew slowly, take your time", he instucted his dragon. His dragon agreed and followed.
.............................
G'han didn't take much notice to Rhia digging her nails in him. When she held him tighter he pulled her closer if it was possible and comforted her. "Everything will be ok. See most have impressed now", he said to her. He shouted a congradulations to Kadan and the weyrling waved at him.
~The blue impressed!~ Jesseth said as he sent the mental image to his rider. R’dan searched for the blue on the sands, he was pretty easy to find. It was K’dan! He applauded for the impression. Now only female candidates remained.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~ Ronoth looked up and said sleepily, ~Hello Hydrath, I’m Ronoth.~ B’kin grinned when K’dan joined them. “Congratulations K’dan!”
((I should probably go seeing as I've got to get up in... 6 hours ^#^ talk to you later today.))
[glow=blue,2,300]Look, Mine, another Blue has Impressed![/glow] ~Yes. Ebbeth should be happy.~
[glow=blue,2,300]Who?[/glow]
~Another Blue dragon.~
Aureth nodded his head to show that he understood. He yawned again.
[glow=blue,2,300]I'm still a bit tired. Am I allowed to sleep?[/glow] D'ran nodded to his dragon and continued to watch. Only Miya and Kia were left and only the Gold, the Copper, and the hatching gray egg were left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kia looked uneasily. now she had such a chance with the Gold. It probably did want her as her Mine. Kia didn't see how Miya could get a Gold. The gray egg would surely get another crack soon. It was rocking a bit fast.

What is taking the bronze so long to find his mine? Miya wondered with frusteration. Then she saw the brown hatch. A little puny. She decided but turned her attention back to the bronze. She realized the bronze was going to take some time so she turned to look back at the eggs, wondering which would hatch next. Miya noticed that the brown impressed. They suit each other. Was all that entered the girl's thoughts for she was becoming very impatient for her egg to hatch and her dragon to come and impress her. Then the blue hatched. He is soo small. Smaller than any of the green hatchlings. I don't want to impress such a small creature. Then a copper hatched. She glared at the large creature as she ran frantically around the sands. Then the gold hatched. Miya smiled an almost evil smile as the gold scared off her siblings. Natural. She thought as the gold quickly dismissed the male candidates and headed for the girls. Miya looked down as the bronze and copper got tangled with eachother. This is just sad.(In the pathetic sense.) She thought with a sigh as she watched the pathetic entangled mess. They are being stupid. She thought as Tayrin and Kia tried to help the two dragons. Miya watched without flinching as the copper panicked and scratched the boy's arm. Then the bronze had impressed, she hadn't expected it to happen that way. The boy has a reason to help but Kia did not. MIya watched as the frightened copper stepped back away from the others. Miya smiled another evil smile as the gold snorted at T'rin. SHe noticed that K'dan impressed the blue. Stubborn little thing, just sitting there. She thought. Miya noticed that the hatching was almost done. I have to impress I just have to. She thought angrily.

Aureth slowly opened his eyes, well-rested. He yawned but only because he had just woken up.
~Sleep well?~
[glow=blue,2,300]Yes, Mine, I feel much better.[/glow]
D'ran smiled and continued watching. This hatching was coming to a close. It had to end sooner or later but this was a particulary large clutch and Kaith's first, at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kia's legs buckled. She was growing tired and rather bored. She sighed, wondering if she would be staying there for much longer. She tried to look on the bright side. There weren't many dragons left so she probably wouldn't get mauled.
Tokagae chirped happily and layed down on Rhia's shoulder.
Karie began to chirp loudly, wishing to be reunited with her owner. Tonu looked at his sister and began to copy. Both crooned and chirped loudly wishing for Miya to come so they could cuddle between her shoulder and cheek. Miya heard them and turned angrily not wanting them to interupt the hatching. She placed her finger to her lips and sent them silent images. They quickly grew quiet and lay on an empty perch. The two snuggled together and fell asleep waiting for Miya to come and get them.
Nike jumped up as the copper mauled the one boy. She grabed her kit and raced down onto the sands. The Healer trotted over to the new Weyrling. "I need to fix you." She told Tayrin, or T'rin whatever the name was. She gave a quick look to the little gray egg, then turned back to the wounded boy.
----------------------------------
Sh'iron put his arms over his face to make sure he wouldn't get cut from the queen egg, but a small strach appeared on his cheek and started to bleed. Well, he thought. THis is the oddest hatching ever. A cooper? THat is new!
Nira looked at Nike. ~I knew she would be needed.~ She told Siarath. Yes, but the injury isn't that bad. The cut will heal and the boy will be fine. Siarath comforted her mine, Nira then turned back to the remaining eggs. ~I hope that neither the queen or that new copper dragon will go between.~ Nira sighed. ~ I am sure Kia will impress, she is a good candidate, but I am not so sure about Miya.~ She told her friend as she looked at the girl. ~She has quite a temper.~ Nira finished. We will just have to wait and see. Siarath said, eagerly watching the sands.
V'lar looked around the sands. Only femlaes were left on the sands, all males had impressed. Now there was the gold going and inspecting each female, to see who she had to pick from. There was also a new color, copper, this one looked like it would need some pushing to get going, but you never know what could become of a new dragon.
The little grey egg gave another wobble. The hatchling inside seemed too weak to overcome the hardness of his shell.
The Queen dragonet looked disdainfully at her copper sister. She lifted her tail and examined the girls remaining on the sands. Then she turned towards the stands, examining those sitting there. A collective gasp was heard through the crowd. Perhaps one of the guests would impress as the Weyrsinger had. The hatching was certainly not normal in any aspect, so why wouldn't the gold impress one of the holder girls?
The copper milled about on the sands, creeling her hunger. Her gleaming hide was marred by a couple of scratches from her bronzen brother.
Christae glanced up at Sh'iron. She touched the side of his face next to where the shard had hit. "Are you ok?" she asked him, worry in her eyes.
Verdeth looked at the copper and wondered if it was male or female. She really didn't know and neither did anybody else. Who do you think Is going to impress the copper? "Well, It looks like either Kia or Miya, but probably Miya! The copper looks like it'll hurt somebody soon if it doesn't get some food soon." said Adrian.
What is that gold doing. A blue impressing someone in the stands is one thing but a GOLD!!! She thought infuriated. She looked at the crimson, the creature was bareling moving. And the egg too weak to break through the shell. Pathetic. She thought.
