Kaith's first Hatching

((Curth....Jaxom's name was Jaxom not J'xom...it was not contracted....just so you know and you had no idea the egg would hatch out a white...no one did so how could it hatch out the color you had hoped? no one else mentioned that possibility))

Once Miya realized what had happened she screamed. I impressed a gold! She thought.
What was that for! Do you want me to go between! Reinath asked angrily.
Miya paused looking at the gold that stood before her. This is the dragon I impressed. I am supposed to care for her and protect her. She realized. ~No do not go between. Come, let us get you something to eat.~ Miya gave in, heading for the feeding tables.
Good. Reinath stated simply as she followed her mine to the feeding tabled.
Miya handed the gold peices of meat.
Faster. Reinath demanded.
~Only if you chew it first.~ Miya instructed her dragon.
Fine. The gold agrred, chewing the meat thoroughly before swallowing and begging for more.
While she fed the queen she noticed that the small egg hatched into a small white dragon. ~THey deserve each other. The white is small and weak and Nike is weak from loosing her dragon.~ Miya told her new friend.
I agree, but you havn't proven yourself completely worthy of me either. The queen told her mine.
Miya grumbled at the queen's words.

Nira clapped happily as Kia impressed then Miya impressed. ~Miya is the last person I excpected to get the queen.~ She told her dragon.
They suit eachother, the two have similar attitudes. Siarath explained.
Nira burst out laughing then clamed down when Nike forced the small egg open. ~It is so small, Siarath. Do you think it will survive?~ She asked.
I think she will under Nike's care. Siarath admitted.

Adrian went over to Kia and said Hello.
"Hello, what a great hatching, and who's this?" asked Adrian. She looked at the copper and wondered why she was so hungry!

((Alright, excuse me once again, I guess I'm out, huh? I've known Nike way past you, so I knew that the egg was a white as soon as she went for it!!))

R’dan saw the white dragonet fell out of it’s small egg. Would it impress? R’dan thought to himself.
~It already has,~ Jesseth said his multi-faceted eyes whirling.
The brown rider looked again and sure enough the white dragon had chosen Nike… that meant, Nike had re-impressed! He clapped loudly for the Healer’s impression.

"This is Kylath. She would talk but I guess she is preoccupied," Kia said, stuffing a little more meat in the Copper's mouth.

D'ran smiled as the new Weyrlings came in. "Congrats Nike," he said happily.

Christae watched helplessly as the little dragon hatched and Impressed.

She sighed. "Congratulations Nike, and to all of you."

Kaith crooned happily.

I am full but now I am itchy. Reinath demanded.
~I am working on it.~ Miya grumbled as she put the meat down and got some oil. She began to spread it on the creatures hide.

[Dragon]

K'dan greeted Kia when she came in with...........the new colored dragon. "Good job Kia. You managed to impress a new color. So what color is it exactly", he asked confused. "By the way this is my blue Hydrath", he said to her. Greetings clutch sister. I see you are very hungry, as am I. Mine feed me more, I am not yet contempt. "Hydrath I do not want you to over eat, that isn't good. I will feed you a bit more then that will do", he said to his dragon.

"Kylath keeps nagging me about all of her problems. I would say she is a copper color," Kia said, seeming to be out-of-breath. "Do you know who I should ask about Kylath's wounds," she asked as she stuffed more meat into the dragon's mouth.

~Ouw! Be careful, Kylath. Your teeth scraped my finger.~

D'ran lifted Aureth's head and walked to Kadan and Kia. "Good job, everyone," he said happily.

"I would guess take her to Nike. Copper huh, Never heard of that color and yeah Hydrath keeps complaining of hunger. I am just glad he hasn't bit my finger off", he said to her. Greetings clutch brother. My mine is well but is a bit too cautious and slow with giving me food. "You will eat enough, not more than enough. Over eating is not good", he said to his dragon.

Nike's eyes widen as the little white tumbled out of the egg. The Healer's green eyes were staying witht he white's.
She reached out and slowly stroked the soft white hide. She knew she had Impressed, but that didn't matter.
The Healer looked up at Sh'iron and Christae who were standing over her.
"She say's her name is Ruanth!" She cried.

Nike grinned and got up. "Come on Ruanth, I shall feed you. Don't worry." The Healer said leading her dragon off the sands.
The little white looked up at her rider with large rainbow eyes.
Her head was close to Nike's thigh.

Sh'iron sighed. "Good job Nike." He told his friend. Once the Healer had gone towards the other Weyrlings he turned to his weyrmate. "What are we going to do about that?" He asked. The other Jourenyman Healer came up and started tending to Christae's arm.

F'tan's jaw droped when NIke cried out the white's name. "Shells! I owe her five Marks!" He cursed.
THe bronze rider took out another set of Marks from his pouch.

T'ran who was sitting next to his friend was laughing, and clutching his sides.

Akki put her hand to her head as the small dragonets seemed to pour out, searching for their mines. She did at least see K'dan Impress a small, lovely blue and quickly clapped for him before catching Kia Impressing a truly impressive copper. [glow=teal,2,300]She will be a great rider one day, and her dragon will become great with her[/glow]Ebbeth said contently as Akki agreed before saying Miya, well she should have an interesting life. A gold wil lchange everything.
