Christae clapped a bit for the newest candidate's impression. The girl had not been confident about impressing at all, and the green was a fine creature. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rhia had applauded every impression. She had whistled when the Weyrleader kissed their goldrider friend, happy for the both of them. Now she turned her attention to another egg that had begun to hatch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The other egg that had been rocking before the bronze hatched had grown still. Now it split neatly down the middle and a brown sprawled on the sands. There was a reddish tinge to his brown hide. He was towards the small side of the average size for a brown. This hatcling wasted no time. He walked determinedly up to the boys while his bronzen clutch-mate sat and pondered his options.

D'ran also applauded the new Impression.
[glow=blue,2,300]What happened?[/glow]
"Another Impressed," he said quietly and then said to Aureth, "You never pay attention!"
[glow=blue,2,300]I'm sorry, I'm tired![/glow]
"It's ok," muttered D'ran. He looked at all the Impressed dragons and the dragon still looking for its Mine.

Kionath looked at the new brown. Another brown was on the sands!! Yay! Another brown is on the sands, I wonder who it's impressing? "I have no idea, but it's probably Kadan or somebody else." said Z'nir.

ooc|| Kadan or somebody else... genius!
Bic|| [glow=blue,2,300]Look, Mine! There is another dragon![/glow] "I see," said D'ran quietly. He looked at the dragon, he did not have much choice for him Mine.

A brown and a bronze on the sands. He looked to Tayrin and said, "I am sure one of those belongs to you my friend". He looked at the two still wondering of course who they would impress. Tayrin was likely for one of them and he would be happy for his friend. He was sure one of the two belonged to him.

R’dan clapped for the green’s impression. The girl had arrived just in time. ~Look another brown!~ Jesseth said excitedly. ~Let’s hope he doesn’t cause as much trouble as the other brown.~ R’dan glanced down at the remaining male candidates trying to guess who the brown would choose.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~ B’kin stepped aside to make it easier for Abrianna to get to where the meat waited for the hatchlings. He was in the way but he wanted to see what was going on. Ronoth’s multi-faceted eyes whirled as the green was carried by. ~She was a large green, almost as big as me.~ ~Almost but not quite,~ B’kin replied with a grin. ~Look there’s another bronze on the sands, and a brown too~

The brown paused in front of the boys and then made his way unerringly to Zephyr. The reddish brown hatchlin's eyes whirled with the rainbow colors of Impression.
[glow=red,2,300]Z'phyr your Edreith is here. Please pay attention to your bonded. I am very hungry. I have been waiting for you for a long time.[/glow]

Zephyr led his brown off the sands, he was a very reddish brown, not to brown, he wondered what was the change in color. Edreith was very hungry and ate a lot. Zephyr wondered what the other two male candidates would impress!

Kia applauded loudly when the Brown Impressed. It seemed the hatching was begining to wrap up. Not too many eggs remained but the Gold and littlegrey egg still had not hatched.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
D'ran applauded as another was Impressed. He grabbed a bucket of meat to give to the newly Impressed Z'phyr.
[glow=blue,2,300]I saw that! I know what happened! Aren't you proud of you Aureth?![/glow]
~Yes, good job Aureth.~
Kadan watched as the brown impressed. he applauded for the candidate now turned weyrling and watched the bronze make it's desicion. A flicker of fear crossed his eyes. A bronze was bigger than a brown, if it attacked it would be worse than that brown. He stepped back a bit.
.........................................
G'han watched Kadan slip back from the bronze. ~He seems scared, apparently that brown shook him up more than I thought~, he said to his dragon. I think it shook him up more than he thought. Gerenanth responded to his rider's thought.
Kia looked carefully at the remaining eggs. So far no female Candidates had been mauled but the Weyrwoman was. It was quite unusual. Of course, Kia had heard of stories when Golds mauled, they mauled badly. The dragons would generally maul those of the same gender as their Mine because they would quickly go to that side of the Sands. That meant the Gold was bound to be coming to the girl's side. She gelt a bead of sweat form. She rubbed her forehead of her cerimonial white robes and looked up, the sands still scorching.
Z'phyr looked at his brown, maybe it wouldn't be so bad that he got a brown, they were his least favorite, but he didn't know why this one had picked him. There were now only two more males and two more females!
B’kin grinned as the brown impressed. He watched the remaining candidates; the scorching sands must be burning through the soles of their shoes. He was thankful that Ronoth had hatched and found him quickly. Though, he would have waited on those burning sands for as a long as he needed to. When their dragons came and they impressed they wouldn’t be worrying about hot feet anymore. B’kin scratched Ronoth’s eyeridges and the bronze dragonet lay down at his feet.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ ~The brown impressed!~ R’dan applauded for the brown’s impression. Like B’kin he felt sorry for the candidates who had to stand on the burning sands forever. Not only did they have to deal with the heat but they were also trying to keep their hopes up that their dragon would hatch in this clutch.
Z'phyr was glad his brown had made a quick decision, but he still wondered what was in the strange egg? The bronze was still laying there and that bothered him.
Chaos erupted as three of the remaining 4 eggs hatched one after the other. One of the smallest eggs shattered into tiny pieces, spilling out a small blue. He was easily the smallest hatchling so far. He tumbled end over end from the small mound he had been on, emerging covered with sand from the tip of his wedge-shaped head to the end of his tail. He was a deep ocean blue, not pale, but not dark either. His hide spoke of a calm, peaceful day on the beach with clear skies and smooth water.
A split second after the blue emerged and went tumbling the large cream-colored egg hatched. A strangely colored dragon stepped from the shards of the egg. The color seemed to be a cross between a bronze and a gold, but the dragon was not even close to either color. It was obviously a female dragon. Her body was sleek and slender. She was a gorgeous dragon. Her color was of a bright copper. Her movents spoke of surety and dignity. She seemed to bow her head to her mother. She was the size of a bronze hatchling, a rather large bronze hatchling at that. She surveyed her surroundings with a calm air until her clutch-sister hatched. Then she let out a frightened bugle and began to run, dragging her still-wet wings along the ground.
The golden egg blew apart, sending shards of eggshells flying about in all directions scaring her copper clutch-sister into running wildly about on the sands. The golden creature picked herself up. Her hide was not as bright as her mother's but she was definately golden. Her hide was dark gold. She picked herself up with a dignified movement and walked towards the female candidates. Her blue brother rolled next to her and she snapped at him. She dismissed the boys with a haughty flick of her golden tail. She was smaller than her mother had been when she had hatched but she was definately a Queen. Her arrogant attitude would have proven that even if her hide had not been metallic gold. The little blue creeled and withdrew from his golden sister when she snapped at him. The bronze had remained on the sands and when the copper ran she barreled into him. Both hatchlings rolled in a tangle of legs and wings.
When the three eggs hatched in rapid succession R’dan did not know where to look first or which dragonet to watch. Jesseth tried to help by showing his rider what he could see but that confused the brownrider even more. There was a bronze dragonet, a blue one, and… what was that… a copper dragonet? That’s what he supposed it was. Then there was the queen too. Though the haughty queen demanded attention R’dan kept his eyes on the strange copper dragonet.
ooc|| Yay! The Gold hatched! Well... I know the only egg that remains but let's not make it /too/ similar to the book, ok?
Bic|| Kia gasped as the three eggs hatched almost simultaneously. The Gold was very pretty. There were now 4 dragons roaming th Sands. Sudenlly a new color caught her eye. Was it a broze dragon? It couldn't be and it wasn't gold. The dragon bumped into the bronze and Kia knew this wasn't good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~Look at that.~
[glow=blue,2,300]So many dragon hatched![/glow]
~It's pandamonium there.~
[glow=blue,2,300]What's that?[/glow]
~Everyone is acting... odd, even a little crazy.~

Kadan watched as the eggs hatched. His dragon had to be among them. Amongst them tumbled a little blue, so peaceful it seemed he wanted to fall asleep there on the sands. His blue hide seemed to soothe Kadan. He watched as a new bronze...........no wait a new color hatched. He wondered in amazement. Who would it impress, surely the impressed would be lucky to have a new color. He watched as the Gold scared the new colored dragon into the bronze. Uh oh he thought to himself, he smelled an air of trouble.
.............................
G'han watched in amazement as a new color had been revealed. "Baby look a new color, surely this is good news", he said to his weyrmate. He felt excited and happy for whoever the dragon belonged to.
