“I’ve done a pretty good job at avoiding them so far.” V’ian admitted with a rather sly smile and a wink. It’s not that he didn’t like kids, but they were so…fragile. He was always worried he would break one of them. It was a terrifying experience to hold a kid and have thoughts about accidentally snapping the child in half run through your head.
It has never even occurred to us to ask for her dragon’s name. Waeith confessed. Though, no one at Derth would have known so in all it probably would not have made that much of a difference. But enough about dreary subjects! Tell me about yourself. Have you always been at Dark Moon Weyr? The bronze asked with genuine interest.
“You’re a life saver.” V’ian gushed as he beamed at Anassa as she offered her help. He rolled his eyes, “It would be like her to get lost on her way to a Weyr and end up somewhere else. She was never the brightest person.” It sounded like harsh words, but they suited his sister so well. V’ian was a very charismatic person, he had the tendency to touch people as he talked and he always came off as rather innocent – never the type to be a large, threatening bronze rider.
It seemed more and more people were coming over to join their group, not that he minded. The more the merrier. “V’ian of Bronze Waeith.” He introduced himself, grinning happily at Rhia. “Wait. Brown rider?” He blinked rather confused. She was a she right? No man parts were hidden in her clothing? He thought only males Impressed browns. It was obvious that V’ian had not paid all that much attention to the gossip about females Impressing male dragons. He nodded towards Rehan, “So he’s your child then? He’s quite cute you know. Wait, do boys like being called cute? Didn’t make fun of me or anything, very polite.”
The bronzerider surveyed Seth for a moment, sizing him up. After a moment, his hand shot out and was messing up the boy’s hair. “You’re so well mannered!” V’ian exclaimed with delight as Seth bowed to him and the others. His hands often moved on their own, it was a tough thing to get used too initially (Except for the fact most people at Dark Moon was used to this, thanks to his sister). “I’ll make it up to you.” He promised Aarora, he would owe the woman a favor in return if she helped him. It seemed like the polite thing to do and V’ian always wanted to be the gentleman. “But I don’t do foot massages.” He added with a crinkle of his nose.
Oh. Waeith said simply, sounding rather surprised. This green dragon seemed to be very forward. There were no guessing games with her. You might be interested in this gossip then. It’s from my secret sources. Apparently there’s a feisty and flawless green dragon, a newcomer. Intriguing, right? Waeith wondered if he could get points for alliteration. He couldn’t let a green dragon compliment him and not compliment her in return.

P'rin caught Wolf's comment and his smirk faltered slightly, but only for a moment. "A boy doesn't have muscles like these my dear Queenrider." He turned to her and caught her puking gesture. "I do believe that you are a pot calling the kettle black."
He shrugged. "It's ok R'xis. I don't mind you taking her attention since you haven't seen her in a while." He gave a jaunty half-salute to the brownrider and bluerider and turned back to Wolf.
"Now, I'm sure you aren't completely disdainful towards my muscles." He flexed them, fully knowing that he was lean, but not built. He had that lanky leanness that many dragonriders had without the bulk. The bronzerider winked at Wolf to let her know he was just teasing.
I think I'm about to die laughing. The bronze spoke to both Wolf, and Serinth as well as his rider.
Quiet! If he had spoken aloud, P'rin's command would have come out in a hiss.
Why? This is amusing.

Akki made an odd ‘Snrrrk’ noise as P’rin went to show her his muscles. It was the noise of stifled laughter. This was too grand. She lifted her own right arm and flexed. “You got nothing on me, boy!” She exclaimed loudly, posing in the typical strongman poses. She had a few muscles, the typical ones that most riders had. She was certainly not bulked up like any guy though, that would have been just far too disturbing. She let her arms drop to her sides as she stared menacingly at P’rin. “Do we need to fight this out? See which one of us is the stronger one?” She asked, part of her hoped he would say yes.
Stop flirting with me Kilzanth. Go flirt with a certain Gold instead. Ebbeth snorted silently.
Akki looked over at Wolf, only to see her friend pantomiming throwing up. Were her and R’xis just that sweet together? “Aww, Wolf. Do you feel left out?” Akki asked with a fake pout, lower lip jutting out slightly. She puckered her lips, making kissing noises. “Come here Wolf, you can join in the fun.” She said with a few more loud puckering noises.
She felt R’xis wrap his arms around her waist and allowed herself to lean on him slightly. She was sure she had a rather dumb, goofy (But happy) expression on her face right now. She still had no idea how strongly R’xis felt about her, though many other people probably had noticed by now. She was never the bright one; she always was the last one to understand things. She laughed and patted R’xis lightly on the cheek, an awkward thing to do from her position. “Bad enough for me to tell you to keep it in your pants. At least, until things have winded down and we’re alone. Oops. Dirty talk in the middle of the day? Now what has gotten into me.” She admonished herself with a wink.
I will forever remember these compliments. I will bring them up when you try to insult me, as proof that you actually adore me. Ebbeth warned in advance. It was easy and entertaining to talk to Ersith, and he was quite grateful for that. You will never be a softie dear Ersith. You will always be stubborn. And annoying, whiny, a little one compared to me… Ebbeth droned on, amusement coloring his voice.

Priath's mental voice held a hint of a smile. Perhaps mine will be able to help yours then. My clutch mother is Kaith. I was born here at Dark Moon. Mine was a Harper Hall Apprentice before she came here. I hope she continues her training. I like to hum with her and the little blue one. She sent a mental image of her rider's blue flitt Aquas. What about you? Where were you from before you came to Dark Moon to search for your rider's sister? She preened under the bronze's interest. She lifted her wings deliberately showing off their dark veined wings. Her hide glistened with health and a recent oiling. She knew the other green was flirting as well but she had the home field advantage here. She had a healthy bit of jealousy and, although she would never be mean to another female, she knew she was a fine looking green and she could keep a male's attention. When we are finished with the clean up, I can show you the best places on the fireheights for sunning.
Anassa ignored her green's flirtatious antics. She knew that her dragon was probably close to rising and she was a vain dragon, even though she was very sweet. "It soiunds like your sister would definitely leave an impression on people. I hope we can find her name in the archives. If not, I'm sure Weyrwoman Christae would be able to help you figure out where she is if she isn't here."

Rhia smiled. She was used to the surprise that came with the announcement that she was a brownrider.
"The last time I checked, I was definitely a rider and he is definitely a brown. He's on his ledge for now." She pointed to where the chocolate brown beast was reclining on his ledge. She gave the bronzerider a wry smile. He would learn soon enough that she held her own with the male brownriders. She had worked hard and earned the position she had. She would have been a wingleader if Christae had not asked her to be Weyrling and Candidate Master.
The giant brown lifted his wings and head obligingly, showing off for his rider after he caught her thoughts. He was easily the size of a small bronze and could outfly some of them. Rehan reached for his mother's riding helmet, which she had tucked under her arm. She handed it to him and he stuck it on his head. It was too big for him and she gave him an affectionate smile. Her face was completely transformed when she looked at her children. Giana was obviously about to start badgering Aarora but that would give her an idea of the other woman's character.
"Yes, he is my son. So's the little girl. I had twins, not long after our Weyrwoman had her son. They are a trio of hellions here but everyone loves them. And yes, it's ok to call him cute. He doesn't know the difference yet." She chuckled. Soon her son would balk at being called cute because he didn't want the ladies to think him weak but for now she would enjoy his innocence.
"You dragn pretty?" Giana asked Aarora.
"I try to teach them to be polite." She grinned. "They usually are, even when they are up to their tricks like stealing their Mamma's riding gear. When I finally find the stuff they usually tell me 'You find mamma. You welcome.' Translated, that means You found it Mamma, you're welcome. They think its hilarious and they usually get away with stuff because they are so cute."
She turned back to Aarora. "I'm sorry if I startled you. I was told by Candidate Seth here that you wanted to speak to me?"

[Since I got a response from one person for an update, I can post as one character, at least xD Though I am sorry for the wait. Just say Hasima JUST asked him the question? That way if other convo happened between then and now, we don't have to worry about him ignoring it all.]
J'kiran looked over to Hasima when the question was asked, shaking his head once in reply. "I haven't," he said. "I waited by the entrance to our temporary barracks for quite some time while everyone walked by, and I didn't see her leave." He sighed, and moved his hand to rest it on Kaenith's head, gently scratching at his eye ridges. "I had been waiting for X'ion, but I'm afraid I haven't seen him either."
[And holywow, that was short. Uh...sorry, guys. I'm not having a good time for posting, it seems xD; BUT AT LEAST I'm still here, right?]

Marletta blushed slightly at the thought of the rider thinking it had been her doing the wiggling. She played with the end of her hair before speaking, “I don’t think he would believe you if you told him it were me,” Marletta replied, “I’m sure he’d remember your blonde hair. I have brown hair,” Marletta turned to stick her tongue out at Akki.
However she turned to look at the same time R’xis locked lips with the bluerider. Not once, not twice but three times. She blushed again looking down at the ground. Marletta doubted Akki would remember her comment after being kissed like that, especially by a boy like R’xis. When she had finally composed herself to glance up again she spotted P’rin showing off his muscles. She giggled and shook her head.
((I promised this monday... whoops. I need to post for Sh'rel, Sh'ham, and Belior but I have a 6-8 page history paper due tomorrow. After tomorrow is over I should be able to post again. ))

Ooc|| I am in a posting mood D: So I will post before Wolf to reply to some people~
A Harper Hall Apprentice? That’s quite impressive. Waeith praised with genuine honesty. He didn’t know everything about Harpers, but he knew that it took a lot of work to become one. Even he could admire this feat. Will I be able to hear you hum one day? The bronze asked the green politely. He couldn’t recall ever hearing a dragon hum along with its rider before. I was born at Igen Weyr and have stayed there ever since. My rider came from a small hold before being searched. He continued, happy to answer her questions. His history wasn’t very exciting unfortunately. He didn’t bother trying to hide the fact that he was eyeing the green dragon with appreciation as she lifted her wings. Everyone liked to be admired every now and then right?
That would be quite wonderful. Waeith exclaimed, glad that the offer was made. It was an invitation to spend time with this intriguing green after all. You must let me pay you back one day. He said sincerely. After all, that would be the gentlemanly thing to do.
V’ian, like Anassa, also knew what his own dragon was doing. He didn’t mind however. He was glad that Waeith was meeting some of the dragons from Dark Moon. Back at Igen, a fair number of bronzes didn’t get along with his dragon. Without realizing it, Waeith had managed to charm a few greens there since he would not boast about his magnificence like the others. It was apparently quite the scandal among dragons; that this one bronze was showing up the others without even trying. “You must let me accompany you to dinner one day then.” He said with a large smile. “It seems only fair. You’re going out of your way to help me, a newcomer! This way we can talk, swap stories and secrets so I can no longer be considered a stranger.” It was more than repaying a favor of course. This girl was charming (And she was quite pretty), how could V’ian not invite her for a meal? He did, however, hope he wasn’t being too forward.
V’ian turned his head to look Rhia’s brown. He was quite the large beast, there was no denying that. He turned back to the woman with a lopsided grin. “Suddenly I feel very insignificant with my manliness threatened. You’re a mother and a brownrider! This makes you far more important than I.” He confessed, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck. He had the distinct feeling that Rhia could beat out practically all the male dragonriders here. He better not make her mad, she could probably punch harder than him also. He looked down at Rehan, “Just give me a warning when he no longer wants to be called cute. I think he could beat me up if he really wanted too.” He leaned in slightly towards Rhia and Anassa, and with a sheepish grin admitted “I’m a lover, not a fighter.”
V’ian laughed as Rhia fed him a story about her kids. “You’ve done a grand job at making sure they are polite. And I agree, it’s hard to get mad at someone when you really just want to give them a hug.”
------
When J’kiran shook his head, Hasima’s shoulder slumped forward slightly. Where was Kestrel? It wasn’t like her to be late, let alone not show up at all. The girl wondered for a second if Kestrel was mad at her and therefore avoiding her. Then again, if Kestrel was avoiding her then why would she avoid J’kiran also? None of this made sense, in her opinion. She frowned, trying to recall X’ion, and then shook her head. “I haven’t seen him.” It seemed people were simply disappearing.
Hasima looked down at Kaenith before lifting her gaze back up to J’kiran. “Congratulations on Impressing.” It was a very late congratulation, but it was better than nothing. She never really talked to J’kiran before this so it seemed only polite to mention the bronze.

Wolf almost felt bad when P’rin’s own dragon started in on the teasing as well. Of course, how could she feel so bad when she was laughing so hard? Her laughter was making her forget all about ever having felt any regret over bugging P’rin about his “muscles.” “Well, my dear Bronzerider” she mocked, “I must say that the last time I saw muscles like that was R’xis’ 16th Turn.” She commenced laughing, barely having been able to get her sentence out. She didn’t think he’d take her words very well, but it was clear that she was only joking. Wolf wouldn’t say such things in seriousness.
Oh dear Mine, I think that is going to embarrass him severely, yet I too find this whole incidence as amusing as you! Serinth was having so much fun at P’rin’s expense. She hoped that the boy wouldn’t hold it against her, for Kilzanth sure wasn’t. P’rin, do not be cross with my rider and I for laughing at you please, she said for the ears of P’rin, Wolf, and Kilzanth alone. She enjoyed the fact that Wolf’s bluerider friend, Akki, had joined in on the whole joke. The little gold thought that the bluerider had a way of making everything great fun!
Wolf moved closer to P’rin, not forgetting that she’d have to dart straight on back to Christae when the Weyrwoman broke up the chatter. “Sorry P’rin,” she apologized, a gentle smile on her face. “I hope your...” more laughing, “manliness wasn’t scarred in any way.” When Akki made the suggestion of joining her and R’xis, well not serious, it made her face go a bright red. With her face numb she looked away from P’rin, praying that her face would feel normal in a second or two.
~ ~ ~
R’xis flashed a sheepish grin at all those close by when Akki spoke the way she did. “She’s--,” he had been about to say joking, but then he realized that he didn’t want her to be joking. He wanted her to be serious about what she was saying, for he found that he really wouldn’t mind it if she was. “Maybe not in the middle of the day, because night would be preferred,” he said quietly to her. He was wondering if she thought this was just a joke passing between the two of them. Did Akki understand just how he felt about her, or was it a game to her? He looked upon her, feeling a brand-new wave of love washing over him. Perhaps feeling this strongly, at this particular moment, wasn’t the wisest thing for R’xis to permit himself to succumb to. He knew in his heart that he had the best girl.
“I love you, you know that?” he told her, not caring if she or anyone else thought it mushy for him to admit his love openly, the others would just have to suck it up. He brushed a thumb against her cheek, feeling all warm and fuzzy whenever he touched her. He was glad Wolf was distracted by P’rin least ways, that way he wouldn’t have to deal with her comments, only Ersith’s; which he was completely used to anyhow. Wait, Wolf and P’rin? He didn’t look back, though there was an itch to. What was happening there he wondered? Better be nothing, his sister was far too young! She’s seventeen, or had you forgotten? he thought, shocked at how quickly she’d become a young woman. He kept his full focus on Akki, not as a distraction, but out of sheer will.
Are you trying to say that you like me just the way I am Ebbeth? Well, I must say I didn’t expect that you’d been keeping a record of everything, but I’ll take it. Who knew that the great blue Ebbeth could be such a romantic, better watch out otherwise you’re going to catch me swooning. What was wrong with her, since when had she begun flirting? Perhaps she’d been doing so absentmindedly and had never really noticed it? Oh well, it was no big deal, right?
You’ve got me being just as bad as you up here R’xis, you’re sadly rubbing off on me, I never thought I’d see the day, Ersith sent to her rider. Good, it’s about time you went after Ebbeth, R’xis replied truthfully, having always felt the pull that drew his female brown to Akki’s blue. He’d hoped each and every day that the pull would progress, and that Ebbeth’s affections would be gradually returned, and thus noticed.

Aarora’s attention was divided four ways: G’han, Giana, Seth, and Rhia. She smiled, not wanting to comment on her being one of the “rare cases” with Rhia around. Instead she focused on what he’d said about their dragons. “Well that’s good, I trust he’ll see to it that Rasth is thoroughly amused then when I’m unable to tend to her. She loves good company, that’s for certain.” She looked down at Seth while G’han addressed him.
“Oh, y-yes my Lord,” Seth stuttered uneasily. He swallowed down his fear, and remained standing tall, looking up at the dragonrider. His fear was not of G’han, or the other dragonriders, but rather of making himself look like a fool in their presence. “What color is it you ride my Lord, if it’s not too bold of me to ask?” Aarora held in her chuckles while Seth talked, having to hold her breath to keep from releasing them. Too distract herself she replied to Giana, “She likes to think so, and so do I, but I’m sure she’s not as pretty as you, isn’t that right?” she said, giving a widespread grin. “Hello miss,” Seth quickly acknowledged Giana, not wanting G’han to think him rude. It was the Candidate Master’s daughter too, after all, and she’d probably smite him if he didn’t say hello-wouldn’t she? He wasn’t sure, but at least he had remembered to greet her.
Well, see to it that you do. she said sarcastically, only joking around with him. No worries Gerenanth, I think Mine is taking to the place already. We both appreciate the attention from you and yours.
“Yes, I did-do-in fact. I was sent from High Reaches Weyr and told that you could use a Candidate Master, assistant for now of course.” She didn’t want to offend the woman. Aarora had already had more than her share of experience training Candidates, they had really wanted to promote her back at High Reaches, but they simply already had a young Candidate Master. “You’re a brownrider, really?” she said, her voice attaining a higher pitch. “That’s-well, I’ve never heard of that before, that’s simply amazing. You’ll have to introduce me to your brown, if you don’t mind. If it’s no trouble I mean.” She spoke very politely, careful with all she said.
Greet her brown for me Rasth, please would you? Of course Mine, but don’t expect me to flirt, there’s no benefits for you there. Hello there, I’m Rasth, and my rider is Aarora. It is nice to be here amongst fast friends at Dark Moon Weyr, she sent to the Candidate Master’s brown, Mneith.

Jeserin had practically just arrived at the Weyr and had been wandering, more than a little lost, around the lower caverns. He sighed in relief a bit when he broke into the fresh air of the Weyrbowl. He stood shaking his head a bit as he assessed the damage and amount of cleanup everything would take.

Like she really had to assist in this stupid clean-up, whose idea was this anyway? Likely the Weyrwoman, she seemed to have a lot of stupidity going about ‘working together’ like a merry bunch of fools. Well, she wouldn’t be working with anyone that was for sure. They could all just configure how to make up for a worker lost, for with the weak lot they had gathered here she was betting she’d be appreciated. Maybe she’d stick around to watch everyone working their butts off, just so she could poke some fun, pick some pockets. Perhaps this day will look up after all, she thought to herself. She was doing a head count of those that she knew, not that she really cared about who was there and who wasn’t. Every person was the same as the next as far as she was concerned, what with the only friend she’d ever had being gone now. While taking this head count she wasn’t watching where she was going, which led her to stop just short of bumping into Jeserin.
She had a saucy expression on her face, looking this way and that before casually allowing her gaze to drift down to the boy’s pocket. She passed on by, whistling a Harper Hall tune. She bumped him, having snuck her hand into his pocket to pull whatever was in there out. She turned around, keeping a hand behind her back long enough to slip the piece of paper she’d acquired down the back of her pants. Her arm hung limply at her side, her other hand sliding down into her own pocket. “Watch it!” she growled, glaring up at him.
Now, now, it wasn’t ever like Tieler to apologize to anyone. Who cares if she’d been the one to intentionally bump into him or not, no one knew that, not even him. All he was bound to know is that she had been the one doing the bumping, but a lot of good that was going to do him in a huge group of occupied people.

P'rin grinned at the odd sound Akki made when she was trying not to laugh. "I think I can take you on oldtimer, except for the fact that I refuse to harm a woman, be she lady or no." There was just the slightest hint that he meant she was not a lady. The blatant amusement behind his tone showed that he was joking. At Wolf's comment his face fell slightly but then she apologized and he was slightly mollified.
"I do believe I have more muscles than a 16 Turn old! I am a dragonrider after all!" P'rin pretended to be offended. He couldn't hold that for long though. He didn't want Wolf to think that he was angry with her. "No offence taken."
Laugh away my beautiful Queen. Kilzanth had no qualms about laughing at his rider.

Anassa gave V'ian a delighted smile. "I believe that would be a fair exchange." She said in reference to his comment about accompanying her to dinner. "It really is no problem though. I believe almost any rider in this Weyr would have offered to help you search. I just beat them to it."
Mine was from a hold too before she went to the Harper Hall, outside Igen Hold. She had several brothers and sisters and she was almost lost in the middle. I would be happy to sing for you. I think Mine would be too.
"Oh dear, Priath just volunteered me to sing later." There was a twinkle of amusement in her eyes. She honestly didn't mind but her dragon needed to remember to ask her first before she offered like that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Rhia grinned. "Never fear, bronzerider. I could never completely out do a bronzerider, simply because my dragon is brown not bronze. Besides, with my position as Weyrlingmaster, we will never compete against each other in the Games so you don't have to worry. And I think you'll be able to tell when he no longer wants to be called cute." She winked.
Giana giggled. "Dragn pretty, dragon pretty." She chanted and then she stopped. "Me pretty too?"
Rhia chuckled. "I am pretty too." She corrected her daughter, knowing that the lesson wouldn't stick at her age. Still, sooner or later it would. "Love don't bother Rider Aarora." She needn't have worried though, when Seth greeted her she promptly turned her attention to him.
"You ridr too?" She held out her arms to the Candidate. "Up!" She demanded prettily.
"Well, I would be happy to introduce you to Mneith. If you're here to help me with the Candidate Master position, I'm certain you will get tired of seeing his giant bulk. I use him as a model for the Candidates." She mock whispered in a conspiratorial tone. "I don't have much time to oil him so I get the Candidates to help me as part of their lessons." The mirth twinkled behind her grey eyes. This was a side her pupils rarely saw. With Thread coming, she took their training seriously. Their lives depended on the training she gave them.
"Well Aarora, I'm a young Candidate Master as well but I am also Weyrling Master and with our Junior Weyrwoman's Queen about to rise I won't have time to train two batches of Weyrlings and the Candidates as well so your arrival is perfect timing. I'll have time to get you used to the routine here and see what you can do and you'll have tiem to settle in an get to know your pupils before you are just thrust in a position of authority over them. If I like what I see I will probably step down soon and let you have the position."
She was still friendly, but even someone who didn't know her could tell how seriously she took her duties. "Mneith and I will be giving them a lesson tomorrow morning if the clean up is done. I doubt that but I will have Mneith bespeak your Rasth if we do have a lesson."
Mneith turned his giant head to view the pretty green. His rider might be female but he was in no way a feminine brown. It was simply unfortunate that there weren't more male greenriders so that he could participate in flights.
Well met Rasth. I am certain you've heard it before, but Welcome to Dark Moon. I am glad that you and your rider are here. My chosen will never admit it but she has too many duties to attend to as Christae's preferred messenger, WLM and CM as well as a mother. Her hatchlings don't get to spend as much time with her as she would like them to. You and your rider will help that. I trust that you will do your best. I would offer to show you the fire heights but I do believe that the father of my hatchling's bronze has already offered. Well met and welcome.
Christae signaled to Wolf to return to her side after a while. She was ready to split the riders up into teams.
Kaith lifted her head from her ledge, catching her rider's thoughts and let out a terrific bugle that echoed through the walls of the weyr as the riders and dragons fell silent to hear what the Queen and her rider had to say. Since there was a lot of people, the Queen would relay the words of her rider to her dragons so that the riders would have backup for knowing the plans.
"Riders and Weyfolk. Thank you for coming out today. Today we begin to rebuild our home and the homes of those who are beholden to us. Thread comes, faster than we had first thought. Upheaval in Pern is one of the signs of the coming of the Red Star. There are monster blizzards in the Northern Continent and warm weather soon after. The Southern Continent has cool days and then scorching ones the next day. This is the third hurricane to hit this season. Fortunately the others hit uninhabited land. This one hit us, and our neighbors. So now we will rebuild and prepare for Thread."
"I want the Candidates to meet to the left. Weyrlings, you and your dragonets meet just of to the side of them. You will be working within the Weyr where Candidate Master and Weyrling Rhia can keep an eye on you. Weyrfolk, those of you who will not be working with Headwoman Uslanee in the Kitchens will be paired up with a rider to help in the Holds. I will announce teams of riders for each of the holds that need to be helped. We have some Holders here from the Hatching and they will be returned home to help clean up as well. The weyrbrats will go with the Headwoman. Weyrfolk and holders to the right, and riders in the middle."
Jeserin, now sporting a sore jaw, a purpling right eye and a scowl from his first encounter with Tieler sighed at his misfortune in running into her here. He glared at her disapprovingly and went about his business. Only later would he realize that his pocket had been lightened by Tieler's pickpocketing skills.
Jeserin continued on his way to the south side of the bowl and paused to meet his fellow weyrbowl janitors.
Christae gave out the assignments, splitting the riders into teams.
"You will be doing whatever these holds need to rebuild, within reason. Don't let them trick you into lifting something your dragon isn't strong enough to.
Report back to me regularly if you are in Team A or B. Jr. WW Wolf's teams are Team C and D. You will report to her. We will be here. Once you finish your holds you will be sent to help other teams after you have rested a bit. Come back here for lunch and we will have packs of food for you to take for yourself. We have nets filled with supplies for the holds. More will be coming in. You will transport the injured here for us to tend to. We have some Healers coming from the Healer Hall to help us."
"Weyrlings and Candidates will be helping clean up the Weyr itself. Our barracks will be unlivible for a while and we may have to completely rebuild our Weyrling Barracks. In the meanttime the Candidates will stay in the Lower Caverns and the Weyrlings will be moved to ground floor weyrs."
"Be safe and remember that you are dragonriders and you represent Pern's future. Don't jeapordize that future! Go."
G'han listened intently to Christae as the orders were given. So that's who he would be with, eh? Too bad really, because his pretty new greenrider would not be with him. He doubted that would have happened in the first place, but always best to hope. He looked over to Anassa and nodded. "Well, let's go get Hasima and head out. No sense wasting valuable time", G'han straightened himself out and talked as serious as the bronzerider could ever muster. He looked over at the twins for a brief moment. They were with Rhia, she would know what to do with them. After all, she had alot more time to do this with them than him.
He turned his attention back to where Hasima was. He walked toward her in a steady pace. When he was close enough, he spoke to her. "Time to head out, Hasima. We'll be hitting Kalanre hold first", G'han said simply and waited for the rest of his team to be ready.
[changed this around to fit better and so Sh’rel didn’t just leap off to his Hold ] Sh’rel continued to stand with Belior as Kaith bugled to quiet everyone down and get their attention. Belior jumped, surprised at the loud bugle. The Brownrider had expected Christae to begin to speak soon and figured Kaith would be used to get their attention. He folded his arms across his chest as he listened to what was being said. It was going to be a long process cleaning up their Weyr and the surrounding Holds but he was tired of being cooped up in the Weyr during the storm, though Rolaranth and him had managed to make one trip out to get visitors for the Hatching. “Well,” Sh’rel said when Christae had finished, “I suppose that means we need to get to work.” He pointed over to where Christae had said the Weyrlings and Candidates would be meeting, “Over there is where you should go, Belior. And that is Rhia,” he said pointing out the Weyrlingmaster. “If you have any questions you can ask her. I’ll see you later.” Rol, wake up it's almost time to go. The brown shifted a bit on his Weyrledge. Sh'rel glanced around not exactly sure who was in his group. V'ian and T'ren…. the names were unfamiliar to him. They must’ve just come to help with the clean up, just like he’d made his brother do. Speaking of Sh’ham he was heading towards the Brownrider that very moment. He had a confused look on his face. “So Sh’rel can you help me find my group? I heard the name’s Q’sin… annnnd an Akki?” Sh'ham gave Belior, who was still standing there a little wave. Glad to see the boy was feeling better. “Never heard of the first rider, I’m having the same problem with my group but Akki I can help you find.” The brothers set off to find their groups. --- Belior nodded at what the Brownrider said about where he should go and who to ask if he had any questions. He left Sh'rel as the man's brother arrived returning the greenrider's wave. Belior glanced around at the other kids about his age as he made his way to where Christae had said. He wondered which ones would be in his group for the cleanup. --- Marletta listened to Christae intently as she spoke and Issaeyith watched the large golden Kaith. The plan seemed easy enough but it definitely would not be that fun cleaning up. Issaeyith started making her way over to where they were supposed to meet before Marletta even moved. Come on, mine. Time to go. Marletta followed the green over to where the other Weyrlings were beginning to assemble. [continued in their respective group clean up boards.]
