Nike nodded. "Alright. As soon as we're done, just ask me."
The Healer said with a sigh. She crossed her arms over her chest and watched and waited.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia watched Nike walk away and then go to talk with Nira. She was curious about the two's exchange, but she had more to worry about at the moment. She forced herself to unclench her hands and looked at her palms, her fingernails had left crescent marks in the skin.

You shouldn't do that. You will cut yourself. Mneith reached over and gently nosed one of her hands.

~I know. I will try not to.~ She reached up and scratched the large brown's eyeridges. "Just think Mneith, in a few days I will be able to ride you again." She smiled at the thought and leaned back against her pillows. The contractions had slowed now, but they still hurt enough to make her clench her teeth and bite down on the towel.

[Dragon]

G'han was happy and relieved when Nike told Rhia nothing was wrong. He watched as Nike went over to Nira then looked over to Rhia. "I would wait until your well rested and you have fully recovered from this", he said to Rhia. The same could be said for you too. Your exhausted and need to rest too and don't worry so much. You heard Nike. Nothing is wrong with Rhia. You will not lose her. ~Fine I will get some rest later. Right now I must be with Rhia and help her~, he said to Gerenanth.

[Spirithawk]

I agree, to both statements.

Rhia laughed. "I know. Don't worry. I will be needed for Thread. I won't jeapordize my health."

She started to say something else but a large contraction cut her short. She cried out in pain.

[Miki]

Kia had been leaning against the wall near the entrance of the Weyr. When she heard a yell of pain she spun in and looked around nervously. Kylath looked up at her- a bit surprised.
[shadow=red,left,300]Kaith- she is in pain once more.[/shadow]Kia looked a bit embaressed before going out again.

[Akki]

Akki winced a bit as a yell echoed in the air. She bit her lip, wondering what was happening at the moment. Ebbeth? She asked her blue. [glow=blue,2,300]Yes?[/glow] If something happened, would you know? Ebbeth stayed silent for a moment then asked, [glow=blue,2,300]Is Mneith with her?[/glow] Yes She replied, slightly confused. Ebbeth snorted and said, [glow=blue,2,300]Then if anything happened the whole Weyr would know. Trust me.[/glow]

[Tenma]

Nira jerked around at the cry. She was not used to the whole contraction idea. She took a deep breath and looked worridly at the woman, but did her best to hide her worry, though she knew she wasn't the best at that.

Kia barged in only a moment later. Normally Nira would smile but she couldn't, not now.

[Dragon]

"That's good to hear", G'han said to her. When she cried out in pain he winced a bit but made sure Rhia didn't see him. He reached his hand out and held hers. He wanted to comfort her as best he could. With his other hand he reached for the klah Nira had given him but noticed he drank it all. "Nira if it isn't too much can you get me some more klah and if possible maybe a roll or two to snack on.

Figures, even in moments like this he will still gorge. Gerenanth spoke to not only to G'han but Rhia and Nira and their dragons as well, figuring maybe he could ease things with some humor.

~I am not gorging. I am simply eating to keep my strength up. I didn't get nearly as much sleep as you did, you lazy bronze~, he said to his dragon.

[Tenma]

Nira walked over and grabbed G'han's glass. "No trouble at all." She smiled warmly.

She then heard Gerenanth's comment. "Oh hush." She replied. "G'han must be worried and exhausted. You must have been fast asleep, I am sure. Otherwise you would have been here in a second. Exhaustion can make one hungry as well. And anxiety, he has every reason to be thirsty and hungry." THe green rider defended the brozne rider.

She turned on her heal and walked by Kylath. "If anything happens let me know." She said as she walked out of the door.

[Dragon]

Gerenanth gave a dragonic laugh at Nira's words. "Thank you Nira, someone who understands", he said to her and then spoke to Gerenanth, "I wasn't sleeping most of the time like you were and Nira is right. You were sluggish getting here. I guess you will need even more exercise." Oh no that is quite alright. I don't need more exercise. G'han laughed at his bronze's reply then turned his attention back to Rhia.

[Miki]

Kylath shuffled her feet up until she was sitting up. [shadow=red,left,300]Hear that, Gerananth. I am watching... listening to you. I am with all of you. If you do something wrong I report it right to Nira.[/shadow]She let her tail make a 'wave.'

Rhia shook her head when she heard the conversations. Mneith was relaying what the other dragons said to her. He knew that talking kept his rider's mind off of the pain she was experiencing. He could feel the spasms through their bond.

Kaith, did it hurt you when you laid your eggs? The brown was curious.

Thank you for keeping me posted. No Mneith, it did not hurt when I laid my eggs, at least not half as much as it seems to be hurting your chosen.

The gold shifted on her perch. She had been worried when Rhia's cry of pain echoed through the weyr. She had to be firm with her rider. Christae was annoyed that she couln't be there. She was glad that G'han had finally made an appearance and that Nira was there keeping Rhia company. Male company wasn't always what a laboring woman needed and Nike would be in her healer's mode and not very talkative.

Rhia tried to be patient as the minutes ticked by. Her contractions gradually became stronger and lasted for longer periods of time, but there was still no sign that the twins were making an effort to make an appearance. After another hour of labor, Rhia was more than ready for the babies to be born. She had already been in labor for two hours, but her ordeal was not over yet. The Healers said that she was coming along fine, but to Rhia, the minutes seemed like hours and the hours seemed like days.

[Akki]

Akki grinned to herself as Ebbeth told her what Gerenanth said. At least someone could ease up the tension that was growing thicker and thicker with every passing moment. [glow=blue,2,300]Would you expect anything less Gerenanth? Your rider seems to always eat[/glow] Ebbeth said the bronze, also making an effort to lighten things up in the weyr. Akki clucked her tongue, and shook her head as she Ebbeth allowed her to hear what she said. Ebbeth turned his attention to Kylath and said [glow=blue,2,300]Ah little copper, but he is doing no wrong. He is trying to lighten things up, which we all need right now.[/glow]

[Dragon]

No I would expect nothing less. He is lucky he trains like he does, otherwise he wouldn't be in the shape that he is.

G'han simply chose to ignore the dragon's comments. The bronze rider was getting tired of sitting down. He stood up and began to pace back and forth by Rhia. As much as he tried to hide it he was nervous and anxious, pacing back and forth seemed to keep his mind off of it to a degree.

[Tenma]

Nira came back. In her right hand was a glass filled with hot Klah. In her left hand was a plate with a sweet roll and a meat roll. "I wasn't sure which you preffered." Nira smiled as she placed the contents on the bed-side table. "There we go." She said satisfied. The greenrider walked over and stood next to Kylath, so she wouldn't get in the way. Her slender hand scratched the copper's eyeridges.

[Akki]

Ebbeth snickered and then put on a scolding voice and exclaimed, [glow=blue,2,300]Gerenanth, you are terrible! I am surprised your mine does not disown you right now![/glow] Akki rolled her eyes as she waited outside, not wanting to get in anyone's way like she normally did. Akki asked her blue something, who asked Gerenanth in turn, [glow=blue,2,300]Akkimine would like to know what is happening but I do not know. Do you have the details?[/glow]

[Dragon]

The babies still aren't born and my rider paces nervously. Nira has just brought some rolls and some klah for him. So maybe he will stop walking around aimlessly.

~I am not nervous~, G'han interjected, ~I simply felt like walking back and forth. I wasn't pacing~.

As well as you try to hide it you are indeed nervous and you were pacing. Sit down and enjoy what Nira brought for you.

When G'han finished talking to his dragon he looked over to Nira. "Thank you. Either would have sufficed. I just needed something to snack on, sorry I wasn't more specific", he said to her. He stuffed the sweetroll in his mouth and washed it down with some klah.

You know you can take more than one bite off of that roll and infact it would last you longer.

~I don't complain about the way you eat. Atleast I eat alot cleaner than you do and don't try to object because I have to clean you every time your done eating~, he said to the bronze.

[Spirithawk]

The Healers had begun to look bored as another hour passed and Rhia had taken to counting the cracks in the rock ceiling of her weyr. She was trying to fall asleep when she let out a shrill cry of pain.

Mneith's eyes began to whirl faster. The flitt's humming intensified. More of the little creatures erupted from /between/ humming their welcome to a new life. Gylfie, Rhia's little silvery green flitt landed on her bonded's belly before Mneith shooed her off. The little creature hopped off of Rhia's bulging belly and went hopped around until she could see Rhia's sweating face. Her humming stopped for a bit as she gave her mistress and encouraging chirp.

Rhia whimpered in pain. The contractions had intensified to the point where the pain was nearly unbearable. Rhia grabbed fistfuls of her blanket and screamed.

[Tenma]

Nira was growing impatient when the ear splitting scream entered her ears. Her eyes glanced up and she shot to her feet in worry and distress.

Lina popped in from between and crooned as she sat regally upon Nira's shoulder.

Siarath awoke from her slumber at the noise Mneith was making. What's going on? SIarath asked tiredly.

~It is Rhia, I think she is having her babies.~ Nira replied worridly.

Finally. Siarath commented, not caring as much as her bonded.

Reinath woke with a start and gave out a quick moan.

~What is it?~ Miya asked tiredly.

The brownrider, Mneith's mine, she is in great pain.

~She is just having her babies.~ Miya said and went back to sleep.

Reinath was not as clam. She kept quiet but the queen's eyes glanced around nervously.

Kalie and Tonu popped in. They noticed Miya was sleeping and went over to snuggle with Reinath who was thankful for the company.

Jakel jerked his head towards the room as the scream entered his ears. He kept himself from looking inside for he didn't see it right to watch a dragonrider give birth. Instead, he simply looked over to Akki and Kia, wondering what they would do.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia was given a few moments of peace before the pain began again. It began gradually and grew until the brownrider screamed again. The Healers had raced to her side when the flitts had begun to hum louder. They had to dodge some of the flitts as they popped in and went to find perches in Rhia'a room. "We are about to have a baby born here." One of the Healers commented as the head midwife checked Rhia's dialation.
