Kia sat with her back leaning against the walls. Her hands were clenched tightly. They hadn't talked much for the past hour. An ear-splitting scream echoed around her. Her sweaty palms reached behind her and tried to grip the wall. Toakagae zoomed by her, not bothering to go between for that. he went in with a loud hum. Suni was quick behind him.

[Dragon]

Azure flew over to G'han's shoulder as the bronzerider looked on with worry. When he heard the baby was being born a small smile crossed his face. The look of exhaustion was now apparent. He pulled a chair and sat down close to Rhia. He looked at the healers, he was still very worried about Rhia. He went for his klah but he once again ran out, but he wasn't worried about that right now, he was too worried and exhausted.

Do not worry so much mine. The baby is being born. Soon Rhia will no longer be in pain. Gerenanth tried his best to comfort his rider.

[Akki]

Akki could do nothing but flinch as another scream erupted. She wanted to be there with Rhia, to be close by and yet she didn't want to be, the screams were loud enough from where she was. [glow=blue,2,300]It begins. Soon a new life will enter the world[/glow] Ebbeth told his mine, slightly amazed at the concept. Akki sighed slightly, from relief and exhaustion all though the entire thing wasn't over yet. Sargon hummed loudly in her ear before he unwrapped himself from his bonded an flew into the room.

[Tenma]

Jakel lifted his arms and placed them arund the two girls' shoulders. "Don't worry, I am sure she will be fine." Jakel ensured them.

Then his cheeks and ears became slightly red as the boy blushed. "Umm, one question though. Who is she?" He asked with embarressment.

[Spirithawk]

The Healers around her were telling her to be strong. Rhia felt like telling them to be strong when they felt as though they were being ripped apart from the inside. She clenched her fists, trying not to scream again as another contraction came right on the heels of the one before. Her calloused hands bore the cresent moon marks of her fingernails.

Mneith's eyes whirled with flecks of red as his rider was unable to concentrate on keeping the pain from reaching him. He nosed her hands. Someone needs to stop her from clenching her fists like that. She will make her palms bleed. His voice was mild. He blew his breath out gently over his rider's face, trying to cool her off. Her face was a bit red from the strain of holding back a scream.

"Easy Rhia," the Healer said. Rhia twisted, trying to escape the pain. She had unclenched her fists for a few moments, only to grab her sleeping furs and whimper when another contraction hit her. "Rhia, when you feel the next contraction I need you to push. Come on, you are a strong girl. Don't give up." The healer alternated between coaxing and commanding. "Someone wipe a damp cloth across her brow."

"You, Father, hold her hand. That is the least thing you can do to help. You might be the one who fathered the babies, but you aren't doing any of the work. Encourage her. I can garantee she is far more tired than you are at the moment."

[Dragon]

G'han perked up and held Rhia's hand. Sheesh you couldn't have done that in the beginning. Sometimes I believe you think with your stomach more than anything. ~I guess that is something we share in common then. Except I am not the messy eater~, he snapped back. "Be strong Rhia. I am here for you. This will all be over soon enough and soon we will have a baby of our own. You will make a fine mother", he said to her.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia turned her sweaty face to him, glaring at him. "Easy enough for you to say. You aren't the one who had to carry these babies for the past nine months." Rhia screamed again.

The Healers chuckled. "Don't worry." One of the apprentices whispered as he passed G'han. "They are all like that while they are in labor. Once they have the babies they are fine, at least most of the time."

[Miki]

Kia tried to relax but her stomach was knotted. She wasn't even the one have the baby- babies. Would she ever?

"Her na- name is R- Rhia. She's r- rider of Brown Mneith," she said, her voice clearly falttering.

[Tenma]

Nira quickly stood up and wipped Rhia's brow as someone had been instructed. She had to do something to stop her from bursting out. This was something that was difficult for her to deal with, for, as many knew, she was soft hearted and sensitive. She gritted her teath as she gingerly wipped Rhia's forehead.

Hush mine. You should be relaxed, you are not the one in labor. Siarath commented with a chuckle.

~I hardly see what is so amusing.~ Nira snapped back and sighed. ~Sorry, just a bit stressed.~ She replied.

I know, Niramine, don't worry. The green comforted her rider.

Jakel listened as Kia faltered. "Relax. All will be well. I can tell already this Rhia, is a strong rider. Being a rider alone makes you strong for you have your dragon." He paused, his eyes staring into space as he thought about what he said. "Yes, having a dragon is helpful." He said as he snapped back to reality, and couldn't help laughing.

[Dragon]

He gave a half smile at Rhia's comment. When the apprentice passed he smiled and nodded at his comment.

Gerenanth burst with laughter at Rhia's comment. Do not fret mine. Rhia is in alot of pain and I am sure she doesn't feel like being in a good mood.

~Don't worry I didn't take any offense to it. I know she is in alot of pain~, G'han replied to his dragon.

[Miki]

For but a moment's time Kia's eyes filled with hatred. He laughed! A woman was in exruciating pain and not a comment had been said to cheer them up. He laughed at her discomfort!

She breathed deeply and then her eyes calmed to puddles of water instead of the raging fire they were for just a second. Kylath sensed her Mine's change.

[Akki]

She didn't mind him laughing, at least someone was. Or was it because she wasn't even listening to the people around her? She just seemed to stare ahead and wait and wait. She knew Rhia would be all right, she had to be of course. She went through many things, she had to get through this. She had to grin a bit, poor G'han. He has no idea what he got himself into with two babies at hand. She knew what newborns were like, always fussing until it was perfect for their needs. G'han will get no sleep She said to Ebbeth and aloud, smiling wider now.

[Spirithawk]

"Thank you Nira." She told her friend. The Healer nodded at the greenrider. Rhia squeezed G'han's hand lightly and then tried to enjoy the few moments that she wasn't in pain.

The Healer waited until Rhia tensed up again. "Push Rhia. Push now!" Rhia groaned with pain but pushed. "Atta girl. Come on. Relax now. Good girl." The Healer motioned to one of the others and they came forward with a cup of herb-scented water. "Drink this, you're gonna need it. This is only the beginning."

Rhia did as she was told and then relaxed until the next contraction hit. "Push." The Healer ordered her. The woman checked Rhia again. "A few more pushes and we should see the baby Rhia. You are doing fine." Rhia relaxed when the contraction finished, her face beaded with sweat.

[Tenma]

Nira smiled when Rhia thanked her. The greenrider looked worridly at the brownrider when during each contraction. 'Push, push' That was all the healers said, followed by an occasional 'relax'. SHe gave a distressed sigh, completly forgetting about her bonded.

He stood up quickly and smiled. "Come on. Rhia is having a hard enough time as it is. We shouldn't be unhappy. This is a celebration. A baby...or it is more? Anyways, a baby or babies are or is being born. We should be happy, this is a celebration." Jakel rubbed his messy hair in confusion at the whole singular plural thing.

[Dragon]

G'han smiled and kissed her forehead when she squeezed his hand. "Be strong love. I am here for you. Soon it will all be over", he said to her. He looked over to Nira. "Yeah thank you Nira. I am glad you stayed here with us. You have been a big help", he said to her.

[Spirithawk]

Rhia sweated and pushed through a few more contractions before the Healer looked up with a smile. "There's the baby's head. Good it's not a breech."

[Miki]

[shadow=red,left,300]The head- they see the head![/shadow]Kylath was thoroughly excited. So much so that she forgot she had to stay out of the way. She stood and pranced up to Rhia's bed. She leaned her hips back and rose, putting her forelegs (or at least a little of them) on the sheets.

Outside Kia simply bit her lip. She put her elbows on her knees. Her fingers were spread and she put them at her hairline. She had such a head ache.

[Tenma]

Nike didn't feel like looking at the baby. She felt it was wrong and impolite. Then Kylath came over. "No, Kyalth, please get down." Nira said, walking over to the crimson's side.

Kylath, what happened to staying out of the way? Siarath interjected giving a dragonic smile that the crimson couldn't see.

[Spirithawk]

The Healer gave the copper dragon an amused smile. "Young dragon, you might want to move out of the way. We don't want you getting hurt or in our way now do we. Come on now Rhia, push. Just a bit more." The Healer turned her attention to Rhia, trying to keep the brownrider's mind off the pain and on pushing her baby out.

Rhia pushed when the Healer told her too. She let out a piercing scream of agony and the Healers let out a triumphant yell. "It's a boy! You have a fine son!" The Healer quickly cleaned up the newborn and held him up for everyone to see. Rhia had slumped back down against her pillows, breathing hard. Mneith pushed his large, wedge-shaped head forward and blinked one jewel-faceted eye at the squalling baby.

He doesn't look anything like you.

Rhia chuckled weakly. "Can I hold him?"

The Healer smiled and placed the tiny baby in the brownrider's arms. "He's tiny but healthy. Hopefully his sibling will be in the same state. You did good brownrider, but the night isn't over yet. You still have another baby to deliver but you are doing wonderfully."

[Miki]

Kylath was a little abashed but she simply sat beside the bed. She marveled at the little thing. [shadow=red,left,300]That's what Kia-mine used to look like... or something?[/shadow]

Kia walked in, it was hard not to hear the Healer's yell. "Congrats, Rhia," she said quietly before walking outside again.
