"I like to think the green color helped a bit." Green Dragon laughed softly. "I wasn't exactly sure what to come as." She admitted in a whisper. "What would a canine's personality be like then? What made you come as that?" She asked, trying to figure it out herself but giving up. A soft smile reached the Green Dragon's lips. "It's more fun this way though. You have a good one night and then dissapear." She laughed softly once more, "Besides. I still have to take my mask off eventually and then you can find me whenever."

Fire Hawk's expression turned to a more flustered one at her correction of his words. His face turned a shade of red once more, and he nodded as she gave him her hand. "Ah, I did at that. Smart as ever." Even though he'd only known her for a few minutes (maybe? For all he knew she was a friend of his). As he led her out to the dance floor he listened to her words, turning to face her and set into the dancing motion at her last comment.
The lad had been looking down at his feet to make sure he was doing this right, but looked up quickly at the last comment the Dolphin made. The red color in his face deepened quite a bit. "Well then," he said, trying to keep his flustered appearance out of his words. "If that's the case then...then why don't we begin this dance, Lady Dolphin?" And with that, he stepped back to lead her into the dance with the rest of the floor. "I'm afraid I'm not that experienced, but I believe I'll be able to keep from falling."

"I might have seen more impressive men. It's more fun to leave you wondering about that though." The Lake said with a grin, winking. Playing coy was an easy thing to do tonight, the mask covered who you were and you could get away with nearly anything. She sent another wink to the Pirate as she accepted the wine skin and sipped at it. She handed back the wine skin and smiled as the wine warmed her up. "You'll have to earn your way to my no boundaries. I can't just be giving them away." She explained as she waited for him to take back the wine skin.
"Better get charming then Pirate, I may go bored and walk away on you." She warned him, looking around the room as if to already pick out her next prospect. She had to wonder whether or not the Pirate knew who she was. Was he hoping she was someone else? Would he be sorely dissapointed when her mask was finally removed? Maybe if she was lucky he would have had to much wine at the end of the night to care as to who she was. She felt the hand at the bottom of her back and smiled at him, "You'll just have to pull out all your tricks tonight and try to dazzle me that way."

"You want honesty? I had no idea either. This costume I had to conjure up quickly. It was nothing I spent careful time on, that's for sure", he continued his whispering in her ear. He noted to her that his costume, despite how well she may think it be, was put together in a rushed manner compared to some others that were around. To be honest, it took much time for the canine to figure out his costume. "But perhaps your green coloration helped out a bit. Saying that pleases the lady, yes?", he spoke, doing his best to let her know he was aiming to please her.
"Perhaps it is. I admit your mystery is something that drives me. Who is under this mask? Familiar friend? A one time stranger?", he questioned her. As he did, he placed her hand on his hip and moved his now free hand to her face, touching her mask ever so carefully. His intentions showed he didn't wish to remove it, simply to touch it. After a brief moment, he removed his hand to join the other around her back. This would press her further to him, if it were even possible. "Moments like these shouldn't happen just once", he whispered yet again.

The Wher smiled beneath his mask, and admitted, “a lovely lady such as yourself deserves my daring, golden one. I would be a fool not to make at least some sort of a try for a prize such as yourself. Hopefully you will grace my prescence with more than just one dance tonight, but it would be selfish of me to keep you from everyone else-much as I’d like you all to myself,” he admitted. She had a certain flair that he certainly liked, and was not afraid to meet him halfway. He was usually quite good at gauging reactions, so as he replied, “you might say that-but it is not often I am graced with so talented a partner as yourself. You, as well, have done this before?” and with this he pulled her in closer, enough of a man to enjoy the feel of this stranger in his arms, though he was for all the world a gentleman, not pulling her so close that they touched, but leaving it up to her to make her own desires upon that apparent.

The Seraphim laughed good naturedly as the Feral Feline pulled her after him, eyes flashing beneath the mask as she retorted, “I’ll do, hrm? Well, in that case, so will you, my Feral Feline!” She had danced before, but it had been so long ago now that she was surprised to find it came natural to her. She had always been rather light on her feet, and now she got the chance to show it, glad that she was behind a mask and that she could let loose tonight.

The Silent Warrior smiled beneath their mask, and then replied, “I can understand how that might be, but do not undermine your costume-I find it quite an interesting one. I’m sure others here would agree,” and then, “do you dance often? You are quite good at this, and you put my dancing to shame.” They were not so bad themselves, and secretly they did so love dancing!
Dancing was such fun, no matter if they might not admit that in public-or might they? Still, they admired the beads, quite obviously inspecting them, and then commented, “you did do a good job on them-how long did that take?”

"I'm glad I am not the only one who struggled with an idea then." The Green Dragon admitted as she looked around the room once more. "Everyone else has their costumes so planned out, they're all detailed. It makes me nervous as to what they think of my costume." She laughed. "I like to think my bright green makes me stand out." She nodded with a smile. It did please her that Canine said it helped her.
"A one time stranger? Sounds mysterious all right." She agreed. This in turn made her wonder who was under the mask before her. Was he a one time stranger? That would be interesting if it was. "You might be dissapointed when I take off my mask Canine. So I wouldn't get to happy right now." She paused before continuing, "Besides. Maybe I'm nothing like this outside of the masquerade? I could just be trying to decieve everyone around me. You could be decieved right now and not even realize it."

The Flowering Vines was not not usually too shy, especially not under a mask. Yet still, the Rogue’s bold words kept the crimson color on her cheeks, and she realized that she did enjoy dancing with him. If he wanted to dance with her and her alone, she would be more than a little flattered to accept, and so, “you flatter me, Rogue-I think you picked your costume and name quite well,” she dared to tease, looking at up at him once more, as she felt the hanging curls brushing against her shoulder and neck as they danced, and then, “ I would like that very much, thank you…” she grew quiet a moment, and then, “aren’t you worried the others here will be jealous of me depriving them of you?” She didn’t want to stop dancing with him, and yet she didn’t want to be unfair to the others who might have their eye on this Rogue.

"You spoil me. Am I so valuable a prize to obtain? Who's to say what lies beneath this mask. When I'm given away, will you still think the same?", the gold dragon asked him. He certainly had high remarks to say about her, that was to be certain. When he asked for more than one dance, she smiled at him. "Flattery may get you somewhere", was her coy response.
"I am not often graced with a man who knows how to handle a lady such as myself", she admitted to him. As he drew her in closer, she only leaned into him. She allowed the two to touch. Her line was still far from view, she wasn't ready to draw it out just yet. "A secret I'll share with you. I've done this before, but you're the first I've given any control to", she whispered to him, but loud enough to where he could here.

“As long as I find out your true intentions in the end, you can leave me guessing for as long as you like. I’m a good sport that way.” He couldn’t help but laugh, “Earn my way there? Deal, for rest assured, I’m willing to pay the price, whatever that may be.” The Pirate took a swig of his wineskin once she handed it back, eyeing her warily now at her mention of going off to another lest she be bored of him. “Oh, I can think of many ways to dazzle you doll.” He really wanted to go for all of the marbles right about now, what had he to lose? She was already threatening to leave if he bore her, and his ways of occupying women kept them around for a good length of time. He hooked his arm underneath her stomach and pulled her over to him. Once he’d gotten her on his lap, a smirk broke out across his face. “There we go, more hands on, that’s how I like it.” He nodded, his tongue flicking out over his bottom lip. He tilted his head to one side, daring to pull her closer, to make himself even warmer with her added body heat. She was in focus at least, that was a good sign, no seeing double.
“Want to play a game?” he asked, putting on a fake pout. “Oh how I do love games, and in this game, we both win!” he announced, as if he was letting her in on some gigantic secret of sorts. Whoever this girl was, she was fate, or at least that’s what he was thinking at this point in time. She was putting up with him, that was really step one. His hyperactivity was increasing, making him even hotter under the collar.

The Shadow's mouth twitched in a smile at the compliment, and she nodded once more. "Why thank you," she said. "I'm actually a little surprised that nobody's asked about the white cape on a 'shadow', to be honest." She followed him through a few more steps, and then looked back up at the dancing comment. The corner of her mouth turned up in a sort of grin. "And thank you again," she said. "I don't do much formal dancing, but I do sometimes practice a...uh...a sort of dancing."
A few more steps, and then the Silent Warrior made another comment. The Shadow looked up, her mouth turning into an almost-smile at the compliment on the beads. "Not too long," she admitted, "The smaller they are, though, the..." she paused, her mouth turning back into a neutral expression as if she were catching something in her words. "Well, the harder they are to thread onto the mask."

The Forgotten Dragon seemed to be truly forgotten, but he seemed to be waiting for someone to be finished dancing, or waiting for someone to come ask him to dance. He wasn't so shy that he wouldn't ask, but everyone seemed to pair off with everyone else, and he was having a dreary time seeing who was available to dance with, and who wasn't.
Feeling more bold he stepped out onto the floor more, so he might be seen or a girl might come his way and be passed off to him. There were so many nice costumes and such pretty girl forms beneath them! He wished that one of them would be free so he might get a dance or two in. After all, he had practiced so hard to learn how the steps were done.

The Gate Keeper, in his wandering, seemed to have noticed that there were a few others also still out on the sidelines. He might have gone over to talk to one of the others, but they seemed so intent on finding a dance partner. Instead he set his staff against a wall and then leaned against the wall himself, twirling the wine in his glass. "And so twirls on the dance of life, spinning through all the twists and turns." Ah, yes. But he did so enjoy trying to be philosophical.

"I dare say I put the time and thought into this costume. Nay, more than a costume. A character, and a character I am!", he exclaimed joyfully. Their turns were subtle, their steps were made with obvious flair. The Rogue was here to show off, he desired center stage.
The Rogue looked curiously at his partner. "My beautiful flower, you assume I want any other. Are not my eyes trained solely on you? I pick a single flower! Not a bouquet!", was his response to her. The Rogue loved playing his part, and he wanted to make it apparent. "But think none of this a sham or simply another aspect of this one's character. When it comes to whom is in my arms, my desires are quite real", sweet words spoken with meaning behind them. "Do not leave me, my flower. No other holds my interest but you", he whispered gently to her.

The Fallen Contrast in his stark black and white costume didn't seem to mind standing in the shadows. Still, it was the darker costumes that caught his eye, making him wonder about them. He liked many of them, and wouldn't intrude upon anyone for a dance, unless they asked him. No, he wasn't shy but he wasn't that forward either. Still, when no one knew your identity, couldn't you afford to be?
He walked with an assured grace out onto the floor, and looked about for a free girl, deciding that tonight of all nights, it truly didn't matter who he was, amongst a floor of complete strangers.

"You'll only find them out if you don't bore me, like I said before dear Pirate." The Lake warned once more. It would be easy to simply waltz away from the man and find someone new. It was easy to do that when they would never be aware of who was actually underneath the mask, they were a complete stranger. The next thing she knew she was being lifted from her resting place and onto his lap. She raised an eyebrow behind her mask and looked at the Pirate, "Now then, didn't I say you have to earn my lack of boundaries? You could be pushing your chances." She picked his hands up off of her and placed them onto his lap, but other then that she didn't move.
"You may lose this game, I'm good at games." She said with a laugh, eyeing the boy for a second more before looking forwards. He was going to lose this game when she took off her mask. The boy clearly thought she was someone else, but that's what made it more interesting she had to suppose. If she wanted, she could walk away and dissapear without him every finding out who she actually was. "I'm willing to play a game though."

"I think your costume is excellent and right now, mine is the only opinion that matters. No other graces your arms but me", the canine said with boldness. "Let others think what they want. I think they're jealous at my pick", cocky, but he was playing it up just for her.
"Who's to say you aren't being deceived, my lovely green dragon? You know not who lies under this mask, just the same as I know nothing of who lies underneath yours. We're both mysteries to one another, but I like it best that way", he spoke mysteriously to her. And with yet another bold action, he gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Despite who we are underneath. Let's enjoy who we are right now", he accompanied his kiss with these words. They weren't a defense of his actions, but the reason behind them.

The Pirate’s smirk enlarged, despite the possible bluff she was dishing out. “Yes, that could very well be true, but where would I be without taking chances? Life is made up of chances taken, no? If I figure something’s worth it, which you very well are, than I’m willing to do whatever it takes. Though, it would seem fairest Fox that you want to take it slow. In respecting your wishes I would, but then stop being so shardin’ seductive and maybe I wouldn’t want to go so fast? Of course, it comes naturally to you I’m betting, so therefore... Are you ready for the fast lane?” He raised an eyebrow at her like she had done him. Boy did he love to rant. She hadn’t moved from where he placed her, so chances were she was thinking over whether or not she wanted to go through with this-him.
“I don’t much like to lose, not unless I get a consolation prize,” he snickered. “But, all right, you’re on. This is a game of truth or dare; now don’t run off on me just yet, we don’t know each other, so it only makes the stakes all the more higher... The ‘D’ in dare, in my world anyhow, stands for dirty. Just thought I’d warn you, I’m not exactly a clean boy...” That couldn’t have been truer, especial with the literal dirt he’d added upon himself for effect.

The Hatter's merry twinkle did not vanish, but they held out a hand and took yet another droll bow, as they seemed to be so fond of doing, and assured, "no matter, this one will be happy to lead if oneself is allowed to do so." The Hatter held out one gloved hand, which was just as unapparent in gender as the rest of what they wore. Everything was covered and nothing was given away! Then, they said with a giggle, "this one does love to dance-masquerades are indeed the loveliest of events! No one can even guess who one is!"
The Hatter seemed utterly delighted with this and their excitement radiated brightly from them, making it hard not to feel the same enthusiasm as the Hatter obviously felt.
