Akki's eyes went wide as she stared at G'han as the words spilled out of her mouth, "Am I floozy? Oh gosh, what if people think I'm a floozy? This isn't good at all! I want a better reputation, something loveable and fun not one that screams 'Don't worry, I'll sleep with you no matter how big of a jerk you are!'". She placed her foreheads in her hands and moaned, "I think I should become a guy, then I could get away with things that I do now with little to no consequences." She tucked her hands under her arms and scrutinized it, "Maybe I should go handless for a while? Do you think that will teach me to keep my hands to myself or do I look weird with no hands?"
She rolled her eyes, "Of course you're into me G'han. I know you're just saying you're not so I don't get a big head, but it's okay to admit you have an unrequited love with me." Sarcasm and jokes were her way of living, sometimes she took them to far but she never could figure out where to stop herself. That would involve too much thinking she believed, and why think when you could live spur of the moment? She chewed on her bottom lip, it was easy to act this way around G'han. She had known him for so long, it seemed weird to act any other way around him. It was easy to tease him and jokingly flirt with him because he knew it was all an act and not serious.
She snapped her fingers and nodded along and said without thinking, "Right. Gotcha, I should date girls for now on." She paused, eyes narrowing slightly as she thought harder about what he just said. "Wait. What? She? Is R'xis actually a girl? Are you telling me to go for the girls? Because I'll ask Wolf for a date if that's what you mean. Or maybe Hasima and I can get together, that could be fun." She winked and wiggled her fingers across the table at Hasima who blushed a deep red. "I can do the whole argument thing though. I'm to dumb to realize when I'm in an argument, so I probably wouldn't even realize if me and someone were fighting."

Sh'no heard the commotion nearby about the brown flitt. He sighed and rolled his eyes, looking over with interest. "It seems like something interesting is going on over here." He said with a grin as he moved closer. His arms were crossed as he watched the brown flitt. "Face it... It could be a heck of a lot worse than it actually is." He said with a reassuring smile. "I'm not going to go there."
As he looked back, Belyth crawled up beside him and looked at the group that had gathered around the master tanner, P'rin. "Oh... I don't believe I've properly introduced myself. My name is Sh'no, weyrling rider of this troublemaker right here... His name's Belyth." Sh'no said politely with a emotionally calm smile.

G'han shook his head at Akki with a chuckle. "Look at you worrying over this. Maybe you do need to tone it down a bit, but if a guy is going to be with you then he needs to understand who you are first", G'han said with a smile as he leaned back in his chair. This certainly was a different side of her. She was actually worried over what this particular guy thought of her. He must really mean something to her. "See. This is where having me as a best friend is a benefit. I know exactly who you are and I'm not trying to get with you", the bronzerider spoke in jest to his female bluerider counterpart.
G'han let out another laugh as he threw his head back before sitting upright again and looking at Akki. "You're really stuck on my having a thing for you. But I'm not agreeing with it. You've already got a big enough ego as it is thinking I'm hiding feelings for you. The last thing you need is a bronzerider like myself admitting something to you. Besides, you've got another's bed to warm. Best not focus on little old me", G'han teased her yet again.
G'han blinked at Akki before he realized his own blunder. "You really like taking what I say the wrong way, don't you? I was obviously distracted with my own personal experience on the subject I was talking about. R'xis is obviously a guy and you obviously don't need to let him walk out on you like that. Unless you'd rather be chatting up this bronzerider instead of getting busy with your brownrider lover", G'han quickly responded to her, the teasing still apparent.
Gerenanth mumbled something to himself before speaking to Ebbeth. Yours and mine have always had a strange relationship. It's amusing how quickly they get back into that groove like they have not been turns apart.

"What if I die alone? OLD and alone?" Akki exclaimed with a frown, picturing herself at thirty with no significant other. Hey, thirty was old in her mind okay? She twisted blonde hair around her finger, tugging at it slightly as she continued to imagine herself 'old and alone'. "Mind you, it'd be hard to be alone when I got Ebbeth." She admitted with a grin, the old blue would never leave her alone which was fine with her. "Whoa now G'han, who says you're my best friend? You ditched me, completely copped out. I might have replaced you." She warned. Then again, did she say he was her best friend? She couldn't remember, her memory was never her best asset.
"I have yet to warm his bed G'han." Akki said with a laugh, before biting her lip. "Oops, that slipped out of me. Hope he doesn't mind." She said with sheepish laughter. She had the tendency to blurt things out without thinking them through. "I like my big ego though. It's not to have, it can keep one company on a lonely night you know." She sniffed almost haughtily. She stretched her arms in front of her, making a face as her joints cracked, "Besides, I have yet to get with bronzerider. Isn't that a nice tidbit?". She wrinkled her forehead, now that she thought about it it seemed the significant others in her life were almost always brownriders. Except for the number of green flights Ebbeth had won, but she didn't count those. One night stands didn't count for much, especially if you didn't have much choice thanks to your dragon.
"You can't confuse me like this G'han, I was already picturing me with a girl and now that memory will always stuck be in my mind. Not necessarily a bad thing, but one of those things that will pop back up in your mind at the worst time possible." She explained with a snort of laughter. She looked at the spot where R'xis was just seating before shaking her head, "I'll meet up with him later. I was thinking of having a party one of these days, in my weyr. It could be the grand adventure I have been looking for." If R'xis was bothered with how she was talking, she was sure the boy would find her another day and mention it to her (Which was fine, she needed to be reminded of boundaries anyways).
Ebbeth silently chortled. This is where she and I different. I will not be bragging about how you are completely into me, no matter how much you can deny it. The blue swished his tail from his weyr, thinking. I must agree though. It seems like they haven't ever been apart. It seems Dark Moon is returning to it's former glory as all the original people are coming back. Images of a certain green flashed through his mind for a brief moment. Tirith would not be coming back, the green had went Between and it was almost a fact that her rider would also not return to Dark Moon. Former glory indeed.
-----
Z'ayr ran his fingers through his brown hair and sighed. "Debate over, it's not fair to violate someone sleeping. I have to give them a chance to at least fight me off, right?" He said to Tanwen with a grin as he looked back to K'ris. He couldn't exactly leave the poor boy sleeping here, could he? No, of course not. That would make Z'ayr look like the insensitive gay guy, a reputation he would rather not have. "I guess I'll take him back to the barracks then." Z'ayr said with a laugh as he stood up, careful not to let the boy fall over in his sleep.
He paused, making jerky movements as he tried to decide how to carry the boy. He never really had been in this situation before. How did one go about carrying another guy in a masculine manner anyways? Z'ayr sighed with a frown, "Masculinity was never my strong point. Carrying him in a rather effeminate manner it is!". And with that, he bent down and hooked his arm behind K'ris' back and underneath his knees. He straightened, looking like an odd sight with a sleeping boy in his arms in the bridal carrying fashion.
"I feel silly." Z'ayr admitted with a grin before turning to Tanwen. "Goodnight Tanwen! I'll see you in the morning, yes? My day won't light up without your face being there!" Dinayth had fallen asleep on the ground a while ago, the little blue was worn out and Z'ayr had to admit he was surprised the dragonet had lasted this long. It was a shame to wake him (Not really though, it was a nice revenge for Dinayth's 'helpful' comments when Z'ayr tried to get ready for the feast). Up and at 'em Dinayth. I can't carry you back...my hands are a little bit full right now and I can't leave you here. The pale blue stirred, sitting up sleepily as he stared at his mine with whirling eyes. How odd. You look almost natural with a boy in your arms. Quaint.
Z'ayr said nothing but rolled his eyes in response. He knew if he said something, he would get a much more sarcastic response anyways. With K'ris in his arms and Dinayth sleepily at his heels, he made his way across the room with a few goodbye nods here and there. Some people stared oddly, apparently carrying a boy wasn't a usual thing around Dark Moon. He stepped out of the feast and paused, "Guess I need to find the substitute barracks." He couldn't exactly let K'ris sleep in the flooded ones, now could he?

Post by kestrel on Feb 18, 2009 14:30:50 GMT -5
Ooc: okay, seems most of my chars aren't doing too much right now, so I'm going to wrap this up for most of them...sorry about the delay in posts, my life's been a bit...complicated.
T'kal could see no further reason to stick around. He was through eating and it was getting late, and he was really thinking far too much about Sarcth by now to even bother conversing. Z'ayr had carried K'ris off to find the makeshift barracks, and really that's where he ought to head too. So, with that, he left the feast and went to join his hatchling.
~~~~~~
Kestrel smiled at her friend. Like Tieler, she had a best friend too. It didn't mean you couldn't have other friends, but just that you were closer to some person than another, which was fine by her. Hasima had been the first person she'd met coming here, and for some reason she'd hit it off with her right away. She liked the girl's quiet and unassuming nature, and how she always seemed to think before she said most things. She shrugged and then replied, "you know, I wasn't even sure if I expected to impress anything at all. I didn't know what I would even if I did, and I didn't consider myself greenrider, so I guess it worked out-in many ways. It means I, like you, don't have to worry when my dragon rises. Nyanth and I can choose to leave the Weyr if a green becomes proddy. We have that option, now. I guess I'm really glad I did impress blue-for me it was probably better to get a male." She then asked, "how about you-did you expect to impress a dragon like Rimith? She's a mutation, after all. A bigger deal than impressing a blue, if you don't mind my saying so." She knew Hasima wouldn't, but nonetheless.
~~~~~~
X'ion could feel himself getting a bit drowsy, even as he was listening to J'kiran speaking. He realized that he was tired after the toll the day had taken out of him. The hatching, the hurricane and his impression? Well, he wasn't tired so much as drained. He didn't feel, suddenly, like being in a dining hall still full of people. A couple were leaving, but there were still a whole lot who weren't. So, he nodded and then said admittedly, "I've heard the same. Whether it be due to growing up together or blood ties, however, I'm unsure. I suppose we will find out, but the irony of it is that we've just impressed. No bond is stronger than this one, I'm told. It should be...interesting." He smiled a little, and then finished his drink, setting the cup down. He didn't find that he felt polite just up and leaving J'kiran there, and so, "to be honest, I'm feeling worn out. I was going to go locate the temporary barracks..." he paused, and then, "if you wanted to come with me I wouldn't mind."
It was still all so new to him, but he found that he didn't particularly mind J'kiran's company, however unaccustomed he was to anyone else being around. He was quite a loner by nature, and his dragon should have been enough. However, it was hard to just ignore someone you knew was your brother. Harder than he would have first thought. He figured if he wanted to, he could brush J'kiran off and just keep to himself and Azaranth. Problem was, he wasn't sure if he wanted to. Human relationships of any kind were foreign to him, and he found he was discovering it all for the first time. Who better to do that with than a member of your own family?
~~~~~~
Raska didn't miss the defensive look, even if it was there and gone, that Tieler had when she mentioned she figured Kestrel was 'okay'. Truthfully, it sort of bugged her, since Tieler had just met the girl. Just talked to her for once for the first actual time tonight. Still, she kept this to herself. If Tieler wanted to get all defensive over a small confession like that, so be it. She just wished she wouldn't go doing it like that-like Raska had just called the girl a wherry-headed leech. Didn't she know her well enough to know that she wasn't about to just start upping someone she'd never even met? Even saying she was 'okay' for her friend's sake was usually out of the question. She figured Tieler had some real issues, though, so again she let it slide for the sake of their friendship.
After Tieler admitted she hadn't gone and spilled her guts out to Kestrel, Raska felt a bit relieved. She wasn't used to feeling hurt about anything, but if Tieler had gone and told her problems all to Kestrel, whom she'd just met, rather than her, who had been friends with her since day one? She would have been stung. Probably it would have even made her act a little differently, like it or no. Instead, Tieler's words calmed that and she decided that maybe Tieler had something to say you could only say to a stranger-or one of those things. Her face was a bit impassive a moment, and then she said coolly, "tell me when you're ready. You know by now I'm not gonna' push you to talk about something you don't wanna' talk about." She then smirked, and admitted, "I'd pay marks to see L'der and Z'ayr have a go at each other. Now that would be good entertainment!" Then, she added, "my marks would be on Z'ayr, though. It's always the one you least expect to win that wins," she said, popping the last of her food into her mouth. She sighed, wondering where they'd be sleeping now that the Candidate's Barracks were essentially flooded. And so, "I'd say let's blow this joint, but I have no clue where we're supposed to be rooming-you got any idea?" She gave Kero a pet and then raised her eyebrow inquisitively at the other girl.
~~~~~~
R'yo noted that he was no longer conversing with anyone. Everyone had kind of branched off into their own conversations, and R'xis had just left. So, with a stretch and a yawn, he glanced over to where Wolf was talking to some bronzerider he'd seen around before. Well, probably it wasn't so great an idea to interrupt-even if he didn't know where that bit of information slipped into his mind from. She looked like she was happy to be conversing, and that was that. So, he excused himself-unsure if anyone even heard-and meandered off to where they'd left their dragons to snooze-the makeshift Barracks for tonight, and until their actual ones dried out.

G'han simply chuckled and shook his head at Akki. "You really are worrying over this. Come now! What happened to that carefree girl who couldn't be bothered to worry over anything?", G'han questioned her jokingly. "You're not going to grow old and alone. Besides, that's looking to the future. Best not worry over what's yet to happen, what may or may not be", he told her.
G'han's look was hurt, but it was all a joke. He didn't take Akki seriously at all. Infact, he couldn't remember a time he ever did take her seriously. "Oh come on. You know you love having me back. You outright attacked me the second I was off Gerenanth. Don't try getting back at me by saying such hurtful things", G'han replied to her with a sad look on his face. "And as for your ego. Maybe it's best you haven't been with a bronzerider. I know I'd hardly want you bragging that you warmed my bed every night. Well, who am I kidding. Like I'd care if you said such things. Appears we've already crossed that line", G'han said with a chuckle.
My rider and I differ in such aspects as well. I certainly hope this weyr returns to it's former glory. Sadly, some things may never return to normal. Gerenanth admitted to the blue, the last sentence with a hint of sadness or regret.

Marletta greeted Kira warmly when she joined the group before she fell silent. She pushed her food around on the plate with a fork and gazed off in the distance. Her eyes were glazed over so someone might presume she was speaking with Issaeyith but the little green was asleep. The girl was merely staring off into space too tired to try to keep up with the conversation. However, when L’der spoke and sat down at the table she looked up. He smiled at her and she gave him a confused look. She caught on to the last bit about night tried to figure out if he was joking or what. L’der actually seemed serious, “…no…. thank you…” she tried to remember the boy’s name from Candidate’s Lessons and how it would’ve been shortened, “L’der?”
((Since this is winding down we'll just say Sh'rel stumbled off to bed))

Hasima looked around the feast, noticing that the number of people seemed to be dwindling. It was getting late, and people were slowly making their way to bed it seemed. She turned her attention back to Kestrel and cocked her head slightly to the side, imagining her friend as a green-rider. She had to agree, Kestrel didn't seem like a green rider. Green riders tended to be flirtatious and loud afterall, at least most of them were. L'der was the typical green rider, that was for sure. She nodded in agreement, "Males and dragons that do not have flights are much easier."
It was for her at least, she would probably go into a panic attack if Rimith was a green. All those flights and morning after? She wouldn't be able to do it, she wasn't a huge fan of physical contact as it was. She jerked her head into a shaking motion, she most definitely didn't think she would Impress. Especially to a mutation! "I thought I was going to be left standing and would have to go back home." Hasima admitted in a whisper. Back home to where everyone would whisper how pathetic, she couldn't even stand at a hatching properly. She was forever thankful that she did Impress.
"Who knows, your blue could end up with L'ders green." Hasima said jokingly with a soft laugh. Now there would be an interesting pair. It wasn't plausible, since both dragons were male. But it was amusing to think of nonetheless.
-------
"Why G'han! Can't you tell I've grown up?" Akki said with surprise, mixed with dissapointment. However, a moment later she burst into laughter. Her? Growing up? Hardly. The girl matured backwards and probably always would. Growing up was not something she did, that was for sure. "G'han, stop getting logical on me. That's how you lose friends." She replied with a sniff and a quick grin before flicking some crumbs off of the table. Apparently either she or someone nearby was a messy eater.
"You deserved to be attacked! You left me! All alone! By myself. I was very dissapointed in you. I was going to send Ebbeth to kill you, but he said I would regret it in the morning." She huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. She made a face at G'han. "It's not my fault things come out of my mouth before I can stop them! They just burst through and there's nothing I can do to stop it." She whined, clasping her hands over her mouth. She needed to learn how to censor herself, anyone could tell that.
Ha! Gerenanth, have you become senile while you were away? This Weyr has never been normal. Ebbeth laughed silently at the bronze's expense. Dark Moon always had some sort of drama going on, he couldn't remember if the place had ever been normal. Gerenanth had a point though. Dark Moon would never be once it was, it's glory may be returned but it's history was lost forever. Many people had left the Weyr and never returned.

J'kiran nodded in agreement to X'ion's observation in the difference between their bonds to their dragon, and any sort of bond they as brothers could form. He smiled as well with the thought, still content in feeling the connection of his sleeping bronze back in the temporary barracks. "It certainly ill be," he nodded, in regards to the 'interesting' comment.
The red-head looked to X'ion when he mentioned being ready to turn in for the night. He smiled at the offer to go with him, and nodded quickly in reply. "I'd be glad to join you." J'kiran stood as he spoke, picking up his plate to drop it off at (that place wherever they drop plates off) on the way out. "I've already already located the rooms where we're staying, Kaenith has been sleeping there." So he'd follow X'ion out of the feasthall whenever the boy made his way, and walk with him through the corridors to that place where the weyrlings were all temporarily staying.
- - -
Tanwen had waved to Z'ayr as he went to carry the other boy off, giving a nod in farewell to T'kal after he went off as well. That left Tanwen alone at the table with her cup of juice. She glanced around the feast hall as she stood there, catching sight of where L'der had gone off. Of course she wasn't surprised to see that he was mingling among some other gaggle of girls, but she rolled her eyes in a bit of disgust all the same.
"Annoying wherrybrain," she muttered, tipping her cup of juice up to gulp the rest down. The candidate left the cup there at the table and got to her feet, making her way towards the entrance of the hall and then through and into the corridors without a second glance. With any luck, L'der would forget where he'd found her walking out from before the feast. It'd be nice to get some shut-eye without having to worry about some dimglow annoyance pestering her.[/size]

"You? Growing up? Ha!", G'han exclaimed as he laughed, throwing his head back. He turned to face her again with a smirk and shook his head. "You're never going to change", he said simply, calming down. G'han raised an eyebrow in question. Him? Logical? He didn't think that was really possible. Then again, he didn't think Akki knew what logic was to begin with. "Oh come on! Like I'm ever logical. Though, not like you'd really know what that was in the first place", G'han said with a brief chuckle.
G'han only shook his head and sighed however, when she mentioned his absence and how silent he'd been. He simply slumped forward and rested his head on the table. "I've already said I'm sorry", he said simply. He really was starting to feel a bit hurt over this. Was there nothing he could do to get her to forgive him for it?
You know what I mean! Normal in the sense of how this weyr usually is. Insanity or not. Clearly Gerenanth did not like being misunderstood and felt the need to clarify, though he wasn't harsh with Ebbeth like he might have been with other dragons. Infact, there was nothing ill in his tone.

"I can't change G'han." She pointed out bluntly. "This Weyr might relax too much if I changed into a sensible being. It needs me here to keep everyone on their toes. You never know when I'm around the corner, waiting to surprise you." She explained, tracing invisible shapes on the table. People at Dark Moon knew that they had to keep an eye out for the bluerider, she seemed to be everywhere and anywhere. She was often seen bolting across the Weyr in search for somebody. "I know what logic is." She growled at G'han, huffing. She knew what it was - it wasn't her friend, that's what it was. "Anyways, things are more fun when they are illogical." G'han had to agree with her there, they were brain twins afterall right?
She wiggled her fingers over G'hans head as he rested it on the table before rubbing her hands all through his hair, thoroughly messing it up. "You're so easy to tease G'han. Start wearing the pants in our relationship." She grinned as she continued to make his hair point upwards. He'd better stop her or else his hair was going to look very silly. She nudged him slightly, pointing at Z'ayr as he walked by with K'ris in his arms. She waved her fingers as a goodbye, "Looks like one of the new weyrlings is down for the count."
Gerenanth, you're beginning to sound like an old man with all your whining Ebbeth shot towards the bronze. Oh how it was so easy, and fun, to tease his friend. He continued with a sly grin, Things won't return to normal. They are going to get better.

"Of course they're more fun when they're illogical", G'han said with a lopsided grin from his resting place. That's why he was such good friends with Akki in the first place, right? The girl was nothing but illogical.
G'han closed his eyes and relaxed a little as the female bluerider played with his hair. He had to admit, even coming from her, it was soothing and relaxing. "Hah, I'll do whatever you want if you keep playing with my hair like this. It feels nice", G'han said a bit sleepily. "Though I think you should definently wear pants. You walking around without any might shock the whole weyr. Though I think it'd be an even bigger shocker if you wore some nice skirts every once in awhile", G'han spoke up, tone still muffled yet relaxed. He certainly wasn't going to move his head or lose this contact.
You're the one to talk of old! You're older than I am you wherry brain! Don't be jealous that I am younger and better looking than you are. The bronze shot back in a tone that was arrogant, but this time mock arrogant.

OOC| Sorry for the crappiness, I'mma' rusty. Lets just pretend Tieler slipped out-shall we? All righty then.
Do not worry dear Ebbeth, I will pass this most awkward message on to Mine. I’m quite sure he knows that Akki is not at all intentionally trying to hurt his feelings. I could only hope he understands where her romantic interests lie, otherwise I’ll have to knock some sense into him, like every other time. There was a noticeable amount of affection in her voice when she spoke of her rider, though too it could very well have been realized that it had something to do with whom she was speaking to also.
As R’xis was walking back to his weyr the messages from both Ebbeth and his rider were relayed to him by Ersith. R’xis smirked despite his sunken mood, and he really hoped that Ersith wasn’t going to kill him for having to be his go-between. When Ebbeth’s own message followed his blank expression returned, but nevertheless he told Ersith: Please tell Ebbeth to inform Akki that I’m looking forward to “owing her one” as she calls it. He could already hear Ersith’s muttered complaints, hoping that a dragon wasn’t going to come crashing through to crush him now. Too tell Ebbeth that I appreciate his concern for me. He felt that nothing more needed to be said about the matter. He was picturing some things in his end pertaining to Akki that was causing Ersith to snort and wish to crush him for real.
After relaying his exact words to Ebbeth with an addition of her own: Seemingly he must think such unclean things well I’m still awake. R’xis crossed his arms over his chest, betting that Ersith was giving Ebbeth some wonderous images in his head directly from R’xis’ own. He really hoped not, nothing would be more humiliating... Nevertheless, he knew she was, for he could hear her rumble of amusement as she pictured the images clearly to show to Ebbeth. “Ersith!” he hollered, grinning apologetically at a passing Drudge who he’d startled out of her wits. “Sorry,” he called out to her. She kept looking back at him as if he was half mad, or perhaps had drunken too much Benden wine.
~ ~ ~
L’der liked to be toyed with, for being toyed with involved many other implications forthcoming. “Do you, now?” he questioned her, enjoying the cockiness that was creeping up into his system. “I know I’d most certainly love to help you, not just with providing you a magnificently impressive dance partner, yet by also suggesting many possible activities that could alleviate stress and give a whole new meaning the word pleasure. Trust me; it’ll be like never before.” There he went, spilling all his cards on to the table with the blink of an eye. Not like he feared rejection, after all, he made his leech-like presence a habit with all the girls. As far as he was concerned if he couldn’t find one there were plenty of others, some horribly easier to take advantage of. He chuckled, wiping a finger over his bottom lip in a thoughtful movement.
“Would you care to dance then, I can assure you that I can make that a pleasurable event also?” He extended his hand to her before even waiting for her to answer, expecting her to simply say “yes” and to have that be the end of it. Although, he could be very wrong all at the same time, not that he ever made backup plans for when he was. His whole life was spent living on the edge, taking the whole world by chance. He was a pretty good judge of character himself, so it could very well be that he was sizing Kira up inconspicuously. Given that L’der paid much attention to anything other than the thought bubbles in his brain.
It took him a bit to clue in on the fact that Marletta had said something, for once he’d heard his name he couldn’t help but give if even a bit of attention to her. “Someone not knowing my name? Well, that’s just ridiculous. Yes dear, it is indeed L’der.” He smiled at her, always overly friendly.

Wolf’s face turned to stone at the mention of flirting. Why would Kilzanth have asked that, had she been flirting and the Bronze wondered if his rider was too? Had she already made a fool of herself in such little time? “Flirting?” she questioned, laughing nervously. She was very appreciative when the conversation was somewhat interrupted by the entrance of P’rin’s flitt. Wolf resisted the urge to shriek, only because she hadn’t expected the flitt to dart for her, and she really wasn’t sure of Falarn’s personality. The last thing she wanted was to be attacked, that would end the day off real well. When she realized the flitt was only hiding her heart beat dropped to regular speed and she couldn’t stop herself from laughing at how severely P’rin was scolding the tinier creature. At the mention of making the flitt fly laps to get the weight off made a few tears spill from her eyes. She caught her breath, silencing herself with a hand. She winced a bit when the flitt’s hold tightened, so she put a hand behind her neck to gently stroke Falarn’s hide in an attempt to calm him down.
“It’s quite all right P’rin, I do love flitts. He’s not being a bother at all, though I’m sure my hair will be quite tangled from this... occurrence.” She chuckled softly, shaking her head back and forth. “His popping out of /between/ like that was really unexpected. He gave me a scare. As for Serinth being annoyed with him, I don’t think that’d happen; she’s far too good-natured for that. No need to worry, we can have him put to work as soon as he’s available.” She winked, continuing to stroke the flitt comfortingly. She then began to speak in what most would be known as ‘baby talk.’ “There there Falarn, don’t be afraid. We’re all friends here, I can guarantee that no one will hurt you here, otherwise I’m sure Serinth would lose all that good-nature of hers in an attempt to bite there head off, wouldn’t you Serinth?” The girl smirked, always seeming to have entertaining mental images popping into her head to go along with her wacky words.
I’m glad that you’re only joking, or at least I hope you are, because if you were serious I’d have to be quite sad. I would never hurt anyone, rather, I’d try to reason with them. “Aw,” Wolf frowned, feeling instantaneous guilt. “Serinth thought I might be serious about what I said. No Serinth, I know you wouldn’t hurt anyone love. Don’t you worry about it, just light teasing.” Of course Mine, I was most certain you were, for you know me better than anyone, Serinth replied aloud. Wolf loved how innocent and cute Serinth was most of the time. “I really do love that Gold,” Wolf told P’rin, sighing happily. When Sh’no came-up Wolf nodded, introducing herself once he had: “Nice to meet you Sh’no. I’m Jr. Weyrwoman Wolf, rider of Gold Serinth. It’s nice to meet your dragonet also, he’s a beauty. Congratulations on impression. As for it being able to be a lot worse, I must agree. This little guy could have tried to claw my face off,” she replied good-humouredly. “Thankfully my face is still intact.” She looked from P’rin to Sh’no and back again.

Akki pointed a finger at G'han and waggled it, "Logic is unneeded in this world." At least in her world it was. Everyone else would probably fall apart without it, which would be pretty funny actually if it wasn't such an unfortunate thing.
She rolled her eyes and removed her hand from his hair, flicking his forehead. "Stop falling asleep in my hands. You have to try at least pretend to play hard to get." She tapped her fingers along her jawline, deep in thought. Her? And skirts? Definitely not. That was asking for something to go terribly wrong. She snorted loudly, "Skirts would make me look like a girl. I'm not particularly feminine." She liked to dress up, but only at feasts or other big events. Otherwise she didn't care much as to what she looked like.
Bronzes age alot faster than blues. I look young and handsome while you seem...withered away. I'm sorry that you have to look like that. Ebbeth replied sorrowfully. It was easy to tease the bronze dragon, he couldn't help it.
You are a life saver Ersith. If I ever need someone to save me, I will rely on you. Ebbeth replied as his eyes churned contently. He paused and added an after thought in jest, Does this mean we can make our riders relay messages to one and another about our kissing habits? Was Ebbeth trying to flirt or was he just cluelessy joking around? It was up in the air as to which one.
Ebbeth made a snorting sound loudly, Your rider has just ruined my image of Akkimine. I hope he has pleased. I'll never be able to make eye contact with her again. He quickly informed his rider of the interesting developments taking place.
Akki's eyes went distant for a moment, gazing into space before focusing again. A wicked grin grew across her face as she leaned back in her chair. "I was just told that someone is thinking naughty thoughts about me." She snickered, combing her hair with her fingers. "I think I've corrupted R'xis."

"Why play hard to get? You had your hands in my hair and it was relaxing, I wasn't going to do anything to mess that up. Doesn't mean we're an item though, Akki. If you want Dark Moon's most eligable bronzerider, you'll have to work alot harder than that", G'han joked as he sat up again with a smirk.
However he leaned in and whispered to Akki as though this were a serious secret. "But I'll let you in on a little something. You've got an edge over the competition", G'han whispered then leaned back to sit in his own chair with a grin. He did have to wonder what him and Akki as a couple would be like. It'd probably be doomed from the start and no one in Dark Moon would survive. It was something meant for disaster.
G'han raised an eyebrow before letting it fall and his face relaxing again. "Who do you not corrupt? Why do you think I'm anything like I am now? I was a wreck before you", G'han joked. Though part of it was true. G'han was emotionally unstable when he first came to the weyr. It was only through friends like Akki that helped him develop and get past it. To G'han, Akki was the best friend he had at this weyr and even if he didn't say it very often he did appreciate her.
Old wherryheaded dragons like yourself aren't known for their memory, Ebbeth. It is infact I, the great Gerenanth, who overflows with youth and beauty. You, however, need to take great care that you do not throw out your wing or back as you fly. I know how fragile you old dragons are. Gerenanth shot back at the blue, the latter part his voice dripping with mock concern.

Kira laughed at L'der. He was bold, that was for certain. He clearly amused her. "You'll get a dance for now sweetheart", she said so sweetly as she stood and took his hand. Kira smirked as she looked him in the eye and waited for him to lead her out onto the dance floor and begin.

Marletta immediately regretted speaking for L’der turned his attention to her, if just for a moment. She feigned a smile to try to hide her disgust, not forgetting his earlier comment about his services being available preferably at night. They we being housed in temporary barracks, certainly they would be separated by gender.
“L’der,” she paused as if thinking about the name again, “At least now I know who I need to look out for,” before adding softer, “..and avoid.” He seemed to be overly full of himself… and disgusting. Yet, for some reason Kira seemed interesting in him. Marletta couldn’t explain it but at least the boy would be out of her hair if they did indeed go to dance.

She did enjoy being a lifesaver, deciding to take this time to gloat. Of course you’d choose me to be your lifesaver Ebbeth, who else? Some that didn’t know Ersith better would wonder at how R’xis and her had been bonded together at all. At first Ersith snorted, not seeming impressed with the Blue’s efforts to joke around with her. She extended her wings, fanning them in silence for some time. When they folded back in at her sides, what had seemed to have gone ignored was then answered: They’re so focused on themselves it’d seem that I doubt they’d even notice, though we could if you like. I do enjoy giving R’xis those... what do you call them? Panic attacks I believe? Ah, yes, good times. Ersith found amusement in joking about her riders pain, always feigning that she was the constant cause.
Really, that’s all it took? Not to offend you Ebbeth but I’m then thinking you haven’t ever taken a stroll through your riders mind out of fear of what you may find there? It was clear to Ersith that Akki was a naughty girl all on her own.
“Ersith, I’m really going to kill you, I can’t believe that you told Ebbeth what was--,” R’xis stopped to stamp a foot in frustration. “Why would you do that? Oh, yes, I do know why, because you’re a sadist!” At this time the same drudge so happened to be passing back the same way, stopping in her tracks when she saw the young man stamp his foot. She made haste, quickly running on by him as if he were worse than the plague, not even bothering to look over her shoulder as she went.
R’xis looked after her in confusion.

Ah, there we go, L’der thought to himself confidently when Kira accepted his hand. Marletta’s words went right over his head, not because he was the rude sort, but because his mind could really only focus on one thing at a time otherwise Faranth’s egg would break loose. He enjoyed-no, loved-being anyone’s source of amusement. He was like a person trying to achieve a sun tan when it came to soaking up compliments and attention. As a new song began to play he gave thanks to the perfect timing, resting a hand on her hip gently, no surprise that it was placed lower then it ought to have been. Once having taken her hand in his he led the dance, keeping constant eye contact with her as he spoke in hushed tones. “I can’t say I’ve had the luxury of being in your presence until now Kira, love. It’s quite a shame really, with such a fine woman as yourself running about the Weyr, one could only be shocked that I’ve not come across you sooner.” L’der was all about speed when it came to girls, and everyone knew his speed only had two settings: fast and faster. The first was barely tolerable for him, the second, well...
This night that was supposed to be a celebration of everyone’s impressions had instead for him become as whole different kind-of feast that excluded the title Hatching before it, likely replaced by either the title: “L’der’s” or “taste test.”

Kira followed L'der to the dance floor and was quick to notice where he placed his hand. She casually took her free hand and adjusted his hand to where it ought to be for him. Still, she smiled at him. "Now, now. Maybe later your hands can roam, but right now my interest is in how well you can dance", she spoke to him. Vintage Kira to let the young man think he was free to do that sort of thing later at her choosing. Whether or not she actually meant it was anyone's guess.
"Likewise. Impossible to think I have yet to run into you until just now", she agreed. But she smirked, a knowing smirk. "However, it seems you've been preoccupied with another girl", Kira spoke to him, the reference pretty obvious. She had noticed, or atleast heard what just happened at the hatching feast. "Let's not repeat that, shall we?", she suggested coolely as she tapped the hand resting on her hip. "I'd certainly hate to damage such a pretty face simply because you went a little faster than I liked", she said innocently as the hand that just tapped his reached up and caressed the side of his face before resting on his shoulder.
