As Tanwen would’ve expected, L'der turned toward her, facing her with his wrist touching her own. While they circled he kept his eyes locked on her, losing sight of her when he spun away. He side stepped in the direction opposite her, crouching down before he leapt up to jump in the same arcing motion as she. Once L’der landed, he was facing away from Tanwen. After her backwards handstand jump, which evidently brought her closer to him, he reached forward and grabbed her arm, tugging her so that she moved in a graceful turn. Then he swung her out so that her free arm moved out to the side-quite like a dance move. Then, he pulls her back in, spinning her as he does so, and dips her so that she’s leaning against his free hand with his free arm out in a ‘ta da!’ sort-of way. If worked out right she too would also have her free arm out in the same indication. He found himself staring down at her, seeing as their faces weren’t all that far apart.
Keep it together man, don’t lose it man, you know you shouldn’t man. Apparently the ‘man’ didn’t learn all that well from actions gone wrong prior. So, after having smirked to himself, feeling as brilliant as he often did, he pulled her up closer to him. Full of excitement and mirth he put that energy into what he did next; attacking her mouth with his own in a hard kiss, his lips moving against her own. He didn’t pull away just yet, keeping his lips pressed against hers. Her lips were so soft, and he would’ve continued, but leaving her wanting more was best. When he did pull back, eyes opening, he wasn’t sure what was going to occur next! Oh the joys of his surprise decisions!

K'ris took a seat across from Kallan as the other started shooting off questions. He'd barely heard one before the next came out, giving him next to no time to reply to them. The other boy just seemed so excited, and the new weyrling didn't have a spot to reply until the other had finally come to a slow in his chatter with the wink. "I can't say I've been to very many," he admitted. "They do seem exciting though. Maybe I'd be into it more if I wasn't quite so tired."
"But anyway," he went on, backtracking to what Kallan had originally started out with. "His name is Queroth," he replied, and he nodded in reply. "I might've thought he was a blue too, but there was another dragon in the egg with him, and it definitely was not a blue. Even if blues did come in pairs, I think they would be the same color." K'ris thought for a moment, back to the various clippets of conversation he'd had since the actual hatching. "Someone said he was a Hawk's Eye." K'ris brought a hand up and scratched at the side of his head. "Some sort of mutation, I guess."
"As for size," he went on with a shrug. "I can tell you for certain that the white is smaller. I saw him when T'kal was carrying him out of the water, and he's about the size of a large feline - the house kind." He smiled lopsidedly. "Queroth is still small, but he's about...actually I'm pretty sure he is the same size as me, without the tail." K'ris shrugged once more. "I'm kind of glad he's smaller though, I'm not sure how I'd fair on a larger dragon. Can you imagine when it grew up? I mean...I'm certainly not growing anymore, otherwise I would've a few years ago." He smiled lopsidedly. "I know I probably don't look it, but I'll be nineteen in..." He blinked, and looked down to count on his fingers for a minute. "Oh...uh...wow." He looked up again. "Tomorrow, actually."

Tanwen felt L'der catch her arm after she'd flipped, allowing her momentum to be redirected into a swing outward, and throwing her own arm out when she the turn stopped. She brought her arm in once more when L'der started spinning her in towards him again, following through the movements and trusting her weight to his arm when he tipped her back. And then it was finished. Step for step he'd kept up with her. What in Faranth's name were the odds that the most annoying kid in the Weyr would be the first person she'd ever met that had also been taught by Master Mercer?
She'd been about to bring her feet beneath her to stand up when she felt his arm tug against her back, and suddenly he was pressing his mouth against hers. Tanwen's eyes went wide and her body immediately went rigid, her free hand coming forward to push against his chest. When that didn't work, after the few moments where L'der continued to hold her against him, she brought her hand up more and hit the but of her hand against his chin to try and force his head up and away from hers. If that worked, she would quickly lunge forward onto her feet, and then turn in the same motion, bending on one knee to spin on her heel and throwing her other leg against L'der's feet to spin-kick his legs out from underneath him.
The hope was that he would fall back onto the floor, and if it worked she'd step over to stand beside him, fists clenched in annoyance and expression set in a way to match. "Oh, yeah," she said with sarcasm dripping from her voice, tinged with enough venom to kill a tunnel snake. "That's exactly why the Master taught the dance. So you could sharding pick up girls." She rolled her eyes and stepped forward back towards the table she'd been seated at before. And if his hand happened to be in the right spot for her foot to just accidentally step on it? Well, maybe that would be an added bonus.

Kestrel smirked at the sort of questioning look in Tieler's eyes when she asked rhetorically about Hasima. She waited until the girl finished, and then admitted, "I'm not fond of large gathers either. Way too many people, for starters. I feel so out of place here...I'd rather just be with a couple of people. So I totally understand what you mean..." she trailed off, and then smiled at Tieler. "What makes you think I feel I have to stay here? I'm quite content sitting here-question is, how will your friend over there feel about it? She looks kind of uncomfortable and out of place, like you and I. If you want to invite her over, feel free. I don't want her feeling like that on my account." She glanced over at Raska, who was indeed stealing glances backwards, looking uncomfortable-and rather lonesome.
In regards to her dragon, she actually did laugh, then. "You're funny, you know that?" She then grinned, and went on, "I was so scared to impress a female dragon. I didn't want green, not because I don't think they're excellent dragons...I really like them. It's because I didn't want to have them rise earlier than say...a gold. That has always been my one greatest fear with impression...when the females rise." She paused, and then said, "I don't trust men, to say the least. Due to my own personal life experiences, I'm wary of them and if I ever end up being with one? I want it totally on my terms..." she trailed off, a soft smile as she confesssed, "I feel like Nyanth somehow knew that. Like he saved me from that when he chose me. So I think a male dragon, for me, is the best thing that ever could have happened. Now, I can choose to not fly anyone's dragon until I want to-if I ever want to," she said, a twinkle in her eye.
She then said more serenely, "so, you looking forwards to your impression? Since your dragon wasn't in this clutch, you must be excited to see the next couple so you can impress, huh?" She grinned, totally confident that Tieler would find her bond in the upcoming clutches, and then added, "bet she, or he, will be really amazing-can't wait to meet your dragon...I'll introduce you to Nyanth, I'm sure he'll like you. Plus, he'll probably want to meet your Alias, too!" She glanced at where Roksha had snuggled up close to her hatchling, and smiled fondly at the pair.
~~~~~~
Kaiya looked up when Kira joined them, and smiled. The more the merrier, and here was yet another fellow Weyrling! "Hey there! I saw your impression-congradulations! She's awefully pretty." She then awaited the reply from Kira, not wanting to inturrupt any further. She, too, wanted to know the dragonet's name.
To Marletta, she grinned and then admitted, "no, I guess not! I'm sure one will come with time-my own was based more upon looks than any personality trait...so I guess that she'll get another nickname or two, though the first one will hold a special place for us, since it was decided on her hatching day." She glanced back over at Kira, figuring it was only polite since she'd yet to reply.
~~~~~~
R'yo was totally oblivious, unsurprisingly, to Wolf's reaction to his necklace he'd given her. Of course, he didn't think of the girl in quite the way that R'xis and he had spoken about. He knew he wanted to be friends with her-he liked her sincerely as a person. However, the whole tactics behind 'relationship' Admin's Note:
Were lost on him. Part of him always wondered if there had been someone, but he also figured that if there had, she'd have been at the hatching if she were that important. Hence, his worries became less. However, he did wonder about his family, his friends...what of them?
When Kira joined them, he smiled at the new arrival, totally feeling at ease, not thinking of the fact that he was the only guy involved in a conversation with three girls. To him, girls were people, and equals. He wasn't the type to flirt or hit on them. And so, "hi there...R'yo's my name." He gave a sort of shy little wave, before glancing over at Wolf. He saw her fingering the necklace, but he'd seen other girls fiddle with their hair in that same manner. A habit, probably. Still, he was glad she'd liked it. So, he said with a smile, "still got that on, huh? I'm really glad you like it. I don't think I've ever seen you without it." Of course, this was meant innocently enough-to him, at least!
~~~~~~
T'kal looked a bit taken aback, not having meant to offend the girl. When she finished, he said, putting his hands up and smiling, "I was by no means undermining what you and the other drudges do and have done for the Weyr-please don't think I meant it that way. I was simply saying that being a dragonrider is a real experience that many would be overjoyed to have...even if you're not happy with your new lot in life, maybe you should try to make the most of it, and enjoy it? Stop fighting it, because you can't change it now."
His eyebrows narrowed a little, thinking about what Satnee had said. He had never heard of anything like this happening before, and it was rather odd for anyone to feel like that. Still, he wasn't going to judge her for that. So, he said carefully, "well, I suppose no one can force you to like what you so fiercly hated before...and you're right. I guess I don't mind Sarcth there, in my mind. But I'm not going to pretend I feel nothing for him. You're only lying to yourself in trying to hide from your dragon that you care for her. Whether you wanted her or no...you can't help caring for her. It's what happens when you impress, simple as that." Again, he looked thoughful, before going on, "you think that dragons aren't needed? What do you think would happen to Pern if we didn't fight thread? And you, a drudge, aren't humble enough to help transport people who need you?" He leaned back and sighed, shaking his head. "To me, I can sympathize but not totally comprehend. But you're only making it worse by not accepting it. You know your own feelings. You can either lie to yourself and pretend they're not there, or deal with them." He glanced over to where the dragonets were resting, and then shrugged casually. "She's not going to get any nicer if you don't. She's not stupid, and she knows what you're thinking, so of course she'd not be happy with how things are. Would you be, knowing you weren't wanted?"
T'kal took a bite of food again, and a sip of citrus juice, looking fondly over at Sarcth. Then, tone curious, he asked, "exactly what is it you don't like about dragonriders? I'm curious, since most people respect and admire them."
~~~~~~
Raska was indeed feeling rather awkward at this ponit. She tried not to, but she kept stealing glances that she hoped were not noted back at Tieler and Kestrel. She wondered what they were talking about...was it something she was excluded from? She felt a sort of turning in her stomach. She'd been Tieler's only friend here at Dark Moon, since they'd both arrived. They'd stood together on the sands, and both hadn't impressed, and she'd been okay with that, wanting to have impressed when her friend did. But then she was back there, with someone else, someone they barely knew...and she was here, by herself.
It wasn't that she wanted Tieler all to herself. It was that she, Raska, had no friends but Tieler. She wasn't the best person in the world, and she knew it...what if Tieler dropped her in favor of someone else? Someone like...Kestrel? No...Tieler wouldn't do that. She usually wasn't like that with her thoughts, and what did it really matter if Tieler was talking to someone else? Still, she felt a twinge of jealousy that she couldn't quite shake, poking at her food and wondering how long they'd be there.
~~~~~~
X'ion shrugged in response to J'kiran's thoughts on why his bronze had chosen him. He had no thoughts on importance, or on there being a reason for it. He just figured that Azaranth was meant for him, and he for Azaranth. End of story. He wasn't going to assume that color meant anything except that he might be forced into a role he didn't want because of it.
He listened quietly as J'kiran spoke about his parents, eating his food and listening, not saying anything. When the other boy was done, he stopped eating, and shook his head. "No...it's what I asked, really. I didn't specify to keep it short. Not that I wanted that, anyhow." He took a sip of his drink, putting the cup down but keeping both hands on the sides of it, just holding it while he thought for a moment. Then, he replied, "the same thing for me-though there are two bands and the matching one for my neck. Also, there's a note and a picture...I wonder why that is. Maybe she regretted only leaving you with the name and band?" He shrugged, and then, "the note had a name, too. Xyrion, I mean. I suppose that's one good thing-we were allowed to keep the names she gave us." He looked a tad uncomfortable, and then, "I wonder where she is now...what she's doing. If she had any more children-if she kept them..." he trailed off, staring at the cup and the juice in it. He had never admitted to these thoughts, but they were there-maybe J'kiran wondered the same things?
Kira looked between Wolf and Kaiya to address them both on the same question. "Her name is Ayerith", she answered them. Then, very graciously, she turned to Kaiya to respond to her comment. "Why thank you. I certainly think the same thing and I'm sure she'll appreciate the compliment", Kira's voice was sweet and courtious.
She looked over to Wolf and nodded her head, answering her last question. "It'd be my pleasure to join you", she spoke, addressing the entire group. She found an empty chair and sat down to join the group of girls.
Akki nodded with a grin as R’yo tried to describe his new dragonet. “Flashy browns aren’t bad, but it’s when their head grows double their size from conceit when it gets tricky. It’s hard to get off the ground when your head can no longer be supported on your neck.” She said somberly, as if this was a true fact that she had witnessed before. “When Resith is full grown then, do me a favour and get him to challenge Ebbeth to a fight. My blue deserves a wallop every now and then to keep him in line, and Resith will be much bigger then him, see?” She cast a wink at the boy as she spoke, a crooked grin playing on her face.
Sometimes you deserve a wallop too. R’xis, would you do the honors? Ebbeth replied with a sniff, paying attention to the conversation when his name was spoken. The blue was contently curled up in their weyr right now, drifting in and out of sleep to listen to parts of the conversation surrounding his rider.
“Ohh my dear Sh’rel, always the boisterous one, aren’t you?” Akki said as she heard Sh’rel loudly exclaim their names, turning to look up at him. Soon as she finished her sentence, a hiccup escaped from her and her hand fluttered to her chest. “Now that’s slightly embarrassing, I haven’t even had anything to drink and I’m already hiccupping.” She sniffed with a frown. She turned to R’xis and flicked his ear, “Now, now. If any fights break out, I’m calling dibs on them right now and nobody else can have them. I’ve been practicing my old one, two.” Akki pantomimed a few weak jabs at nothing in particular.
----
Z’ayr grinned at R’yo. “His name is Dinayth, and he’s prissy and bossy already. Resith sounds fab already by the way, you can’t go wrong with brown dragons.”. He understood why Dinayth could be mistaken for a female, the dragonet did have a rather effeminate aura whether he noticed it or not. Charmed. Dinayth said contently to R’yo, the dragonets eye churning a green.
Z’ayr looked up at Sh’rel and smiled at the man, “Hello Sh’rel. And thanks. Akki is trying to convince everyone that it’s my fault that we are late, can you believe it?” He shook his head and rolled his eyes in disbelief, causing the female rider to make a face at him which he happily replied to, sticking his tongue out. He turned his attention back to Sh’rel. “Are you going to dance with anyone tonight? Are you on the prrrrowl?” He questioned, rolling the ‘R’ as he said it. Z’ayr dramatically flopped his chin and arms onto the table, whining. “Unfairrr, I want to be someone’s piece of meat.” He turned his head and saw Kira, looking quite delectable (For a girl anyways), and cast a wink at her.
Suddenly Z'ayrs mouth turned into a graceful 'O' shape as he pointed towards L'der and Tanwen. The two were kissing now, and the new blue rider had no idea that L'der had just more or less forced himself upon the girl. "So they are an item!" He exclaimed before dramatically lifting the back of his hand to his forehead. "Now I'm going to die aloneeee. How unfair." He whined, resting his chin on the table. "Oh whoops, did I just speak to soon?" He said, raising his chin off of the table to see Tanwen daintily smashed her hand into L'ders face. "Sorry m'dears, it seems I am needed elsewhere." He declared dramatically to the table around him, skipping towards Tanwen now was.
He reached Tanwen, pulled out a chair beside her and sat on it sideways. His back rested on the girls side, as left leg rested on the table, his right one on top with his foot jiggling happily. "This seat and side isn't taken, is it?"
---
Hasima felt her ears turn slightly red as R’xis laughed at the idea of the girl hitting anyone, and shyly smiled at him. He had every right to laugh; Hasima would probably never hit anyone. She’d never even been mad before, from as far as she could recall. She was a peaceful girl, not a fighter and she was content with that. She bit her lip, trying to contain a smile as she listened to Z’ayr wanting to be someone’s ‘piece of meat’. She was almost one hundred percent positive that the boy wasn’t into girls. Hasima was slow, but this just seemed to click right away.
“You can be my piece of meat, Z’ayr.” The girl said in a normal tone, which was like yelling compared to her usual whispery tone. Hasima wasn’t going to say what she did originally, but it had managed to slip out before she could stop. Across the table, Akki made some choking noise and looked at Hasima with surprise.
G'han took far too long arriving at the feast, he decided. He was still moving things around his weyr, then it took forever to get ready. He couldn't go without a good bath and he had to find some decent clothes. He soon figured out he didn't have enough of those. But he managed a nice button up shirt and pants. Nothing flashy or impressive, but certainly more formal than the bronzerider's tastes.
"I guess I know where I'll be spending my marks", he said to himself quietly as he made his way in. He noticed dancing, food, familiar faces, and unfamiliar faces as well. It didn't take him long to spot out Akki, however. He walked quietly behind her and smirked as she started throwing her fists. "Never is safe around you is it?", a rhetoric question as he smiled at her, poised with hands held behind his back.
~~~~~~~
Kira looked over to the guy that addressed her. Funny how she, of all people, hadn't noticed him there. Perhaps she was so absorbed in other thoughts, for once. But either way, she introduced herself to him. "Hello R'yo. A pleasure to meet you", she spoke as she held out her hand to greet him. As she did so, she noticed Z'ayr's glance and wink. Her response was to turn a little more towards him to face him and wink back at him oh so subtley. She then turned her attention back towards R'yo.

Akki frowned, tilting her head back to see the man who was behind her. "You're late G'han. You're even later than me, and that's not a good thing." She said as her frown turned into a crooked grin. It seemed like she hadn't seen her old friend enough since he came back. They hung out a few times, and passed each other here and there but it simply seemed to be lacking a bit. She turned around her chair, sitting on her knees as her elbows propped her chin up using the back of the chair as a rest. "My dear G'han, have you heard the secretive whisper going on about us?" She asked with a wink towards her friend. She heard a couple of drudges talking about how the blue and bronze rider were an item. Apparently two people couldn't eat supper together without rousing rumours. "I hear that we're practically lovers. Apparently you're not all that good if I can't remember this."
She stifled a snort of laughter, and wondered for a second if anyone else had heard this news. She doubted anyone would take it seriously, but part of her couldn't help but think it would be quite interesting if they did. She looked over at Kira for a brief second, catching the wink she sent to Z'ayr. Whoa, wait, what? Did Akki have the wrong idea about Z'ayr? Was he going after Kira? Well, that was new.

G'han looked down at Akki puzzled. Had he really been so caught up in settling in that he skipped the latest gossip? G'han returned a grin, something wicked in it. "Is that a fact?", he questioned her. Having been around Akki so much, he had a feel for her sense of humor and joining right in was now the fun part.
G'han raised an eyebrow dramatically as he looked around the room. He then settled his eyes back on Akki, something playful in the stare. "Well, it's certainly hard to keep a secret in this weyr. Isn't it, my dear? I can deny it no longer. We are, infact, lovers", G'han finally mock admitted. "By the way, I missed you last night", he added with a wink as he pulled a chair up and sat backwards in it, leaning in and settling his arms on top. A quick yawn escaped his mouth after he was seated.

Akki was glad that she met G'han how many turns ago, and that he came back. Not too many people would keep up with this, most would probably deny anything like it. But no G'han, oh no, he just went and rolled with it. And she loved him for it. There was nothing better than stirring up some trouble with her male brain twin, they almost always shared the same thoughts about things. "It is a fact. I'm slightly distraught that our rumor is out actually. I did enjoy our sneaking around." She sniffed, a fake pout playing on her lips as she looked at G'han, her eyes looking crestfallen. She twisted her body and plopped into her chair in the normal sitting position. "I mean, I even had to make Gerenanth swear he wouldn't tell anyone. And that was a tough thing to do, you know. My hard work was all for nothing now." She sighed deeply.
She rested her palm on G'hans arm and shoved him slightly with it. "I thought you said you couldn't deny it G'han, so why are you pretending I wasn't there last night?" The blue rider asked in a huff. "You're yawning because I kept you up all night long" She emphasized her last words in a breathy whisper, making a kissy noise towards the bronze rider. "All the girls in this Weyr are going to be jealous of me now. They all wanted you G'han, I just got to you first." She said with a casual shrug. "I guess now I'll have to fight off all the other girls just to keep you as mine and only mine. You lucky man, you." She winked at him, and blew him a kiss. She had missed these conversations the most when G'han left. There weren't too many guys that weren't put off by her annoying boldness and pervertedness. But those were some of her favourite hobbies, so it's not like she could do much about it.

G'han looked over at her with a lazy, tired gaze. Akki could probably tell he was faking it. "Oh yes. Where is my head, contradicting myself like that. Of course you're the reason I'm so tired", he replied then added almost as an afterthought, "And late, for that matter." G'han emphasized the last few words by pointing his finger at her with a smirk. G'han paused for a moment, perhaps thinking of his next move. But it didn't take him long, he quickly thought of what to say next. "At the rate we're going, you might as well move in", he said casually.
G'han looked around, then settled his gaze back on her. "Oh my. I didn't realize I was such a hot item around here. You'll have to do your best to fend them off", G'han spoke up. "I'll sit back and watch", G'han said with a smirk as he moved his arms up with his elbows resting on the back of the chair and his chin resting in his hands. G'han then winked and finally blew her a kiss in return. Ah, how long had it been since he and Akki did stuff like this? It had certainly been too long.

Akki couldn't help but giggling loudly. G'han always knew the right thing to say, his comment was just far too perfect. "Oh lover, you just ruined my excuse for being late. I blamed it on Z'ayr and now everyone will know we were actually shacking up." She said, shaking her head back and fourth slowly. She clucked her tongue, "Now there's an idea. I won't have to sneak around anymore, plus I do need someone to warm up my cot. They're cold and lonesome at night. And you seem to be having no problem with keeping me warm, right?" She said, flipping her blonde hair dramatically. "I mean, you do owe me quite a few nights too. I missed you oh-so dearly when you left the Weyr. So you have to make up for all of those." She explained as she bobbed her head up and down, nodding.
For the second time in the night, Akki pantomined punching someone. "You know I'll do my best, I can't lose you. No girl will stand in my way, no boys either!" She exclaimed, one eye closed as she jabbed the air with her right hand. She nodded over towards Hasima, "Plus that girl promised to help me out if a fight breaks out over you. She has a mean right hook, see? It will come in handy." She returned her arms to her side and stuck out her tongue at R'xis and winked before facing G'han. "Sit back and watch? Does that mean no guys will be fighting you over me? Well, this slightly hurts my self-esteem. I'll get over it eventually I guess, after a few more nights with you I mean."

G'han looked over at her with a smirk then dramatically threw his hands in the air. "You've found me out. I transferred back because no girl had what you had, my dear", he responded. "I'll be sure to make it up to you", he said with a wink.
G'han stretched out his arm and flexed his muscles. "Really now, they'd have to be crazy to fight me", he said with a grin before resting his arm again. No, he wasn't bragging on his own strength or skills, he was still playing his game with Akki. "Besides, it's much more enjoyable my way", he said with a grin. G'han allowed another pause between words before speaking up again, "So. See you tonight". With those words, he gave her another wink.

(( I know this post has been long awaited. My apologies, exams are in 2 days. ;x ))
R’xis felt somewhat guilty for making Hasima blush, but even the girl knew what had been said to be true. He laughed, always amused by Akki and Ebbeth’s unique relationship. He tightened his hold on Akki, shaking his head vigorously. “No, I can’t say that I will Ebbeth, and not just because she’d get me back twice as bad.” He rolled his shoulders, glancing back at Hasima to make sure she wasn’t too overwhelmed. When he saw she was okay it was then that he saw someone approach behind Akki where he was, addressing her. He issued a nod, acknowledging him by way of greeting. When he and Akki began to converse back and forth, his discomfort became all the more clear-moment by moment-on his face.
“Jokes, and a good thing they are,” he couldn’t help but utter. Newly coupled, and for the first time, he was bound to have a possessive nature. His first impression of G’han was growing a bit marred, while unnecessarily, but nevertheless. He then got his bearings, realizing that he was acting out of line-to some degree-and unlocked one of his arms to extend it over Akki to G’han. “R’xis, rider of Brown Ersith; I don’t believe we’ve met before.” A smile crept onto his face, and he began to wonder how long the two had known each other, for how easily they engaged in banter. “I can’t say that I’ve seen you around before...” he trailed off, recalling the man having mentioned that he had “come back.” Where had he come back from? “It’d be nice to get to know a close friend of Akki’s, there aren’t too many ones about here it would seem with a hearty Dark Moon background.” His smile increased as he speculated what kind-of stories G’han may have to tell him about Akki’s Weyrling days. Had he even known her as a Candidate perhaps? He’d noticed that R’yo had left to go over to Wolf’s table, which he didn’t mind in the least, it was good for the boy to mingle with others.

Tieler couldn’t fathom how Kestrel spoke with such certainty about her expression. “When it comes to dragons, I have no opinion on anything, I’m not really interested in them,” she answered truthfully. The idea of being bonded to such a creature turned her off of them entirely-in, mostly because of the invasion of one’s thoughts. Another reason was because of how much time it took to care for them, not to mention the devotion involved. “Yes, I’d like to meet your dragon though, I’m sure he’s different... if only a little. What was it you called him Nya-,” she cut off, her gaze drifting to Raska. “I’m sorry, it’s been great, you know, talking to you but...” She inclined her head to Raska, “I think I should take your advice when it comes to her, plus she does look lonely over there-doesn’t she?” She swallowed, never usually voicing what she did or didn’t think concerning other people. Especially if it made her sound like she cared. She stood up, dusting herself off subtly. Alias was startled from her rest, but stayed near Roksha rather than making a move to leave with Hers. “Alias can stay with Roksha for a bit, I’m sure she’d like that anyhow.” Tieler shrugged, looking down at Kestrel now. It was rare that she ever got to look down at anyone, not the tallest person after all. She sighed, as if something was still bothering her, but she let it slide instead of engaging in even more conversation. “Thanks, if I haven’t said so already, I’m sure Hasima would love to talk to you.” With that she turned and left, not looking back over her shoulder to see if Kestrel had stood up just as she was leaving.
“Hey,” she said, raising her voice a bit to be heard. Her hands were shoved into her pockets, and her head was lowered so that she was gazing at her feet rather than the person she was speaking to. Clearly she’d been speaking to Raska, pulling up a chair to sit next to her friend. She cleared her throat before going on, building herself up to look at her, hoping she wasn’t mad that she’d spent her time talking to someone else. “Food good, is it? I really couldn’t be bothered, personally.” She shrugged, a shoulder, throwing herself against the back of the chair to take up a more relaxed position. She really wanted to tell Raska what was wrong, and for an instant she thought she had been about to tell Kestrel-maybe. What choice was best, what girl would hear her more? What girl was she better friends with? Well Raska, which was a no brainer, but something, told her Kestrel would better understand. Maybe Raska deserves to hear this, as a friend she deserves to know, she thought, feeling ashamed all over again. Her blush gave her away. She stared down at her hands, concentrating on them.

Wolf smirked, but felt it was fake, only to cover up the incessant laughter she felt was threatening to spill over. “Yah, I... do, I do. I really love it, I don’t take it off,” she replied to him quickly. She tumbled over some of her words, and she hoped that she didn’t sound overly nervous saying them. When Kira told her what her Copper’s name was it distracted her from thinking about what R’yo had said. “It’s a lovely name, really. I can’t wait to see her mature.” Wolf really meant it; it was clear by the enthusiasm in her voice. When R’yo introduced himself to Kira she thought she saw something in the girl’s expression that threw her some, but then Kira winked at Z’ayr, and Wolf summed it up to the girl being a flirt.
Her eyes flickered over Marletta and Kaiya’s faces before she divided her attention on R’yo again. “Did you have a nice chat with my brother?” Her voice was teasing, and she hoped he knew that she wasn’t being mean to him about it. “It’s all right by the way, no need to apologize or anything, I understood that you didn’t understand,” she explained, hoping that her explanation would ease his worry.

L’der shouldn’t have been surprised to be on the floor again, especially not with Tanwen having been the one to attack him again. Like before he didn’t bother to try and get up at first, waiting for some of the pain to leave his body. He coughed, feeling a little thrown, especially since he’d have bruises on his bruises now. “See, now, that’s what I thought the reason was for too. I really appreciate you clearing it up for me-ow!” he hollered, having been in midsentence when she stepped on his hand recklessly. He quickly brought his hand up to his mouth, nursing it with his other. He made whimpering sounds, putting his lips against the throbbing red mark where the injury was worst. “Well, how unnecessary,” he said aloud, sitting up as best he could. He rubbed his backside, murmuring. With a heave he righted himself on two legs, still holding the offended hand to his mouth. His gaze lingered on his hand before lingering on Tanwen. Usually he wouldn’t think twice about joining her, but he wondered if perhaps with that last move he’d pushed her too far. Oh, she can suck it up. Tanwen’s a big girl now, that’s what I like about-, he had been about to finish that thought until he decided it was best to pitch it aside. He bowed to Tanwen, not thinking about whether or not she was looking at him, which she more than likely wasn’t.
“It’s been a pleasure dancing with you, and borrowing your lips.” He chuckled despite himself, knowing it was the wrong thing to say, and the wrong response to ensue to his words.

[Poor K'ris is still waiting on Kallan. xD I'll just say this, Kat? If he still hasn't gotten a response by the time you end up starting that mini-plot of yours going, I'll be on board anyway xP Just so you know]
J'kiran shrugged lightly, swallowing the last bite of food that he'd had on his plate before replying to the part about their mother regretting not leaving more. "I've always liked to think that way," he said with a small smile. "I also like to think that she regrets leaving me behind at all. Even if I just knew her reasoning, and never was able to meet her, I believe that would be better."
The weyrling downed the rest of his drink during the moment where X'ion went quiet, looking back over to his newly-found brother when he spoke once more. His eyes softened a bit in a halfway-shut way, and he nodded in reply to X'ion's comment. "I often wonder the same thing," he admitted. "When I was searched, even though I was reluctant to leave my parents behind, I couldn't help but think that maybe becoming a Dragonrider would in some way...maybe make it easier to look for her." He shrugged a bit. "Then I often think, without her name, it's probably impossible."

Tanwen returned to her table and sat back in her chair with her arms folded and her foot tapping against the leg of the table. The expression on her face made her look positively unapproachable. She felt furious at L'der, and perhaps a bit betrayed after she'd trusted him enough to go through the dance moves. He really must have been, she thought, the most annoying and deplorable person in the entire Weyr. She felt as though if she never saw his ever-smiling face again, it would be too soon. And yet, as much as she wished she could, she found that she wasn't able to fully hate him. After all, he did at least have gusto.
She wasn't paying attention much to her surroundings, and so was surprised when the chair beside her moved and someone promptly leaned against her side. Instantly she thought it to be L'der, but the voice that popped up just as she turned to look at whoever was there proved that theory wrong, and she actually smiled. Not a huge one, but a small, lopsided, grin of a smile. She hadn't known Zuyayr (she didn't know his shortened name yet) name for long, but he was shaping up to be the first real friend she'd had in quite a long time. Very probably because she didn't have to worry about him trying to become anything more than a friend.
"Sure isn't," she replied. "I was wondering when you were going to show up." The way she had her arms folded loosened a bit as she went into a more relaxed state. "Congratulations on your dragon. What are the names?" And by 'the names', she meant both his and his dragons.

“It’s hard to find a girl like me. A man’s personality in a girl body. I admit that I am no dainty lady, and that’s what you looooove about me.” She replied to G’han with a nod. She reached over, and squeezed his arm and nodded approvingly, “You have a nice set of muscles. I’m willing to let you defend my honor when the time comes. You should thank me.” Akki crossed her left leg over top of her right, jiggling her foot side to side as she smoothed out her dress. “Come now, love. You know I like to play hard to get.” She twisted strands of blonde hair around her finger, a coy smile playing on her lips as she looked up at the bronzerider and whispered seductively (Or what she assumed would be seductive) “Promise me that you’ll make it worth my while.” So this is why everyone tells me that my rider is a floozy that I should keep an eye out for. I was wondering where they came up with this stuff. I suppose I’ll have to tell Gerenanth that I do not want to be living with him when you and his rider get together.
“Oops. I thought you and G’han met before, but I guess not.” Akki laughed. Of course now knowing that the two boys never met before, their conversation might be considered a wee bit awkward now. Mind you, Akki wasn’t so good at relationships and probably wasn’t aware that there were boundaries as to what you should and shouldn’t say. Claiming that a stranger was your actual lover was probably one of those things you shouldn’t say. “I’ve known him pretty much all my life. Well, all my Dark Moon Weyr life I have known him. He was a candidate with me, and fell deeply in love with me only to run off with another girl when I shattered his heart.” She said casually, waving her hand in the air coolly as she made up a few things here and there. She leaned in towards R’xis, her voice dropping to a whisper, “He never got over me, you know.”

“I would have shown up earlier, but your dancing was dazzling me. So I had to sit down with others until I got my sight back. Also, I was afraid if I got too close my hair would have been messed up.” He admitted with a vaguely sheepish shrug. He liked his hair the way it was, and their dancing looked like it could muss it up quite easily with their legs going up in the air the way they did. “I’m Z’ayr and he’s Dinayth.” The boy said, pointing to himself and then to the dragonet as he introduced them. “Fab names, right?” He asked with a large grin. He nudged the girl a bit with his elbow, nodding towards L’der.
“I was going to ask if you two were becoming an item, but since you stepped on his hand I’m assuming you’re not.” He had to give her credit though, stepping on someone’s hand was a very creative way to tell them that you were not interested. Maybe he should try it if a girl was bothering him. Then again, he enjoyed flirting with girls even though it was obvious he had no interest in them. He just liked flirting in general, except for when it actually counted. Then he would just freeze up. “So, should I feel bad for L’der or should I give him angry looks across the room? I’m fine with either really, I’m easy going.” He asked, tilting his head backwards so he could look at Tanwen.

G'han nodded along. "Oh yes. Certainly one of your more flattering qualities. One of the guys, who's actually a girl. What guy wouldn't want that, right?", G'han responded. As Akki reached over and squeezed his arm, G'han felt a bit warmer from the touch. He looked over at Akki with a smirk. "It's certainly an honor to defend your...", G'han had to pause before continuing with a shrug, "...honor?" G'han chuclked a bit and with her last, seductive response he gave her a wink to indicate he would.
G'han. You better not get a bad reputation on your return. I certainly do not want to have a rider with one of those.
G'han rolled his eyes at Gerenanth's words, but decided it best not to give a vocal verbal response to that one. All the better since someone wished to introduce himself. "Oh, hello!", G'han exclaimed, almost surprised by his presence and sudden turn in the conversation. "I am G'han of bronze Gerenanth", he introduced himself as he took the man's hand to shake it. "I've known Akki for quite sometime and I can tell you for fact she chased away most of the rest of her long time Dark Moon friends", he said with a grin. He then winked at Akki, indicating he'd been one of them. "I simply had more guts to return", he added.

Come on, Sh'no, get out there for once.... You can't just stay back here and watch the festivities! Belyth said to Sh'no, who sat at an unoccupied bench, watching everyone have a good time. Besides, you have to loosen up. Life isn't all work work work...
Sh'no just chuckled. "Have I ever told you how you should stop sneaking bites of food behind my back, it's very annoying, but heck, let's go over and see who we can find." He said with a wide grin. He had dressed in some of the finest clothes he had, seeing as he had finally impressed for once. It had taken several years, but he finally did impress. As he walked towards a relatively small group, he noticed Akki and another boy he had seen around, but never talked to. As he walked over and was about to sit down, he smiled. "I hope you don't mind my sitting over here." He said as he sat down across from the group, smiling slightly. "My name's Sh'no and this troublemaker here is Belyth."

P'rin was late arriving at the Feast. He had reveived a letter from his former Master and he had taken the time to respond to him and to write a letter to his family as well. He had been helping haul some crates out of one of the storerooms to make room in case the storm continued throughout the night. The Candidates would need a place to stay. Now, the empty storeroom would be used for the newly Impressed riders and their dragonets. He took his time bathing the dust off his body and then drssed carefully in his Gather best to attend the remainder of the feast.
He tied his shoulder knots carefully and brushed his blue-black hair and tied it into a neat runner tail. He reached down to polish a speck of dust off his boots and headed into the Lower Caverns through the back tunnels. The hurricane was still raging outisde.
He was hungry so he fixed himself a plate and then looked around for a place to sit to watch the people celebrating the hatching of the dragonets.

The group was starting to grow, and Wolf felt proud that the others were making an effort to be introduced to one another, so as to engage in friendly conversation. She sent another polite smile R’yo’s way, wondering if the reason he’d left R’xis to come over here was to set things straight. Now that he’d done that, he likely wouldn’t want to remain hanging out with a bunch of girls-would he? There was nothing wrong with mingling with the opposite gender, especially if these people happened to be part of your Weyrling group. Thus far, she was the only full rider in this little gathering of people, and therefore, when she saw P’rin walk in she turned to him curiously. She had never really spoken much to the boy, even though they’d been Weyrlings together. He’d impressed a Bronze, which she remembered; his Kilzanth was quite the impressive beast. She noted that he remained alone, even after getting his food. She heaved a sigh, feeling quite indecisive. Would he mind chatting with her? Perhaps not... On the other hand, what could he really have to talk with her about? What do I really have to talk with anyone about? People find things to speak of.
Wolf rose from her seat, issuing a nod to no one in particular. “I have a few rounds to make guys, keep the talk going,” she encouraged. She headed off in P’rin’s direction, feeling nervous, for she wasn’t often so bold. “P’rin?” she addressed him in a quiet manner, not wanting to startle him. She smiled gently; not wanting to seem like anything was a matter. If he wanted to be left alone, she’d obey his wishes. Who ever really wanted to be alone, even so? She wasn’t sure who he was used to interacting with, if anyone at all.

P'rin turned, his pale blue eyes widening somewhat in surprise to see Wolf there. They had exchanged greetings in passing but had never really had much of a conversation. He was partially to blame for that. Sometims he just didn't know how to insinuate himself into a conversation and almost all of his former classmates had made friends with each other as Candidates.
"Hi Wolf." He said, smiling at her. "How are you and Serinth?"
