The ease with which P’rin spoke caught Wolf off guard. She had expected a: “Is there a problem?” or “Do you need something?” She felt like a huge weight had just been lifted; it didn’t take long for this girl to get herself all worked up. She remained standing in case he wanted to keep the conversation short. She smiled warmly, wondering if he was asking about her and Serinth out of actual interest, or simply for the sake of small talk.
“I’m doing pretty well actually, nothing like a hatching to get me pumped,” she chuckled. She removed her bangs from her eyes, getting a better view of his blue ones. She felt like she was really seeing him for the first time, rather than every day. She had never really made any friends from the Candidate group, other than Hasima of course, and her brother (though there wasn’t much of a choice there now was there?) “As for Serinth, she always finds a way to be the happiest little Queen there is.” Wolf shrugged, her arms extended out. A wide grin was spread across her face, her eyebrows ever so slightly raised. When her arms dropped her hands slapped against her legs. “What about you, how’re you and Kilzanth fairing?” she asked, beginning to feel a bit awkward just standing in place. She mentally scolded herself, taking a few steps to a chair. She pulled it over and sat down, feeling more comfortable already.

[There's a week left, so I'm done waiting on Torva >_> Poor K'ris is stuck in limbo, and if I leave him there too much longer he's going to pass out on the floor]
Tanwen gave a small smile at the compliment on their dance, and then looked over to the little blue when he was introduced. "A lot of the others left their dragons back in the barracks," she noted. "I'm surprised Dinayth isn't passed out with the rest of them." She nodded in reply to his question about how 'fab' the names were, but didn't make much of a reply.
The girl looked down to her elbow at the nudge, and then followed Z'ayr's gaze when he nodded towards the weyrling across the room. Her expression lost any hint of the smile she'd had before, and her eyes narrowed spitefully at L'der when Z'ayr made his comments. "You would be assuming correctly," she replied. And then, to the next part of his comments, she rolled her eyes and turned pointedly away from where L'der was still standing probably dumbfounded in the center of the room.
"Do what you want," she said. "I don't think it'll do any good though. He's like an annoying infestation of tunnel snakes that you can't seem to get rid of, with the added peeve of them constantly trying to slither up your pant leg." She glared at the air for a moment, her expression devoid of any of the smile that she'd gained when Z'ayr had come over. "I think would really like to take him down to a glass craft hall and pour a ladle of molten glass down his pants." She was probably exaggerating just a little bit, but her words certainly did the job of expressions her current emotions.

After talking to Kallan for a bit K'ris had found his mind once again falling into that numb state. Whatever shot of adrenaline he'd gotten from being dragged out of his chair by Tieler earlier was wearing off, and all of night's activities were once again catching up with him. "You know," he said, "I think I'm going back to the barracks now." He would wait for a moment in case Kallan wanted to give any parting words, but then got to his feet and started making his way through the crowd towards the door of the feast hall.
[I'll leave it at that, so if anyone wants to stop him or anything for some reason they can. Otherwise, he's going to bed. xD]

Z'ayr rolled his eyes before looking down at Dinayth. "He refused to go to sleep before seeing the caverns so he could nitpick over everything. I've thoroughly been informed about how some of these tables are crooked." The boy replied, pulling a face as he did. It was safe to assume that Dinayth was going to become a perfectionist when he was older. Whether or not this was a good thing Z'ayr wasn't exactly sure yet. It was good to have things in order, but he had the feeling that with his blue things were going to be in too much order.
"I'll glare at him from the room, but when he turns around to look I'll look as if I am pitying him." Z'ayr decided with a nod before turning his head a bit towards Tanwen. "I can't have him see me glaring at him, it may ruin whatever chance I have with him!" He whispered before laughing loudly, "Mind you, I don't think I have much chance with him unless I get some girl parts." He wrinkled his noise as he pictured himself as a girl, it wasn't exactly the most pleasant sight in the world. Z'ayr bit his lip at one of Tanwens comments, but before he could help it the laughter was already bubbling over and slipping out of his mouth.
"Do you know how many trouser snake comments could be made right there?" He asked, twirling a piece of hair around his index finger. "If you want Tanwen, m'dear, I can always go over there and give him a good one - two." He said, making a jabbing motion with his fist before dropping his arm back to his side, "But I think I would lose, just to warn you in advance." "I'm not the best fighter." He told her, as if it was a secret. It was obvious that he would not be a great fighter, he would be worrying too much about how he looked.
He reached up as K'ris began to walk by and tugged on the boys shirt. "I wanted to congratulate you." He explained to his fellow Weyrling. "So, you know, congratulations. What's his name...Her name? I'm...not entirely sure what gender your dragonet should be. It sort of confused me." He said with a sheepish grin.

Tanwen pulled up an eyebrow at Z'ayrs comment about his dragon, and the corner of her mouth turned up in an amused smile. "At least you'll always have an honest opinion on your hair in the morning," she noted. She rolled her eyes once more as his comments returned to L'der, the bit of smile at the corner of her mouth falling away yet again. "I wouldn't be so sure," she said when he mentioned his needing to have girl parts. "He seems the type to try to get into the pants of anything with a pulse."
When Z'ayr offered to beat some sense into L'der for her, she quirked a small smile again. "That's very considerate of you," she said. "Don't put your hair in danger though. I've been beating on him enough already." Of course, one of those beatings was on instinct, and the other was only after he'd forced her into a kiss - but still, it was the most she'd actually hit anyone in a long while. Usually she didn't have to use force to get people to keep away from her (Z'ayr excluded, but there was something nice about having a gay friend to talk to). Most of the time people left her alone after a few sharp retorts from her.
She looked over to K'ris when Z'ayr reached out and tugged at his shirt, giving the boy a nod and a flat, fleeting smile in recognition that someone had been pulled into their conversation, after which her expression went back to neutral boredom. She did offer a simple, "Congrats" though.
- - -
When Z'ayr grabbed hold of his shirt and tugged him back, K'ris didn't really stop, but rather let the momentum that was carrying him along be pulled away. He sort of stumbled back a few steps, after which he half fell into the seat near Z'ayrs at the table. The weyrling blinked between the two, giving a nod to the girl - Tanwen, he thought - at her word of congratulations, and then looking back at Z'ayr to try and wrap his mind around the question that had just been asked of him.
"Oh, yeah, thanks," he said, offering a tired and lopsided smile. "His name is Queroth. And it's all right; he's a mutation or something, so I guess you can't really tell his gender by his color. He's a..." He thought for a minute. "A Hawk's Eye dragon." He looked back up to the other boy then. "My name got shortened to K'ris, but I don't really hear much of a difference when it's spoken. I think Qeuroth just took the 'h' off." Tired as he was, the fatigue had apparently triggered him to ramble rather than not speak at all. "You were picked by a blue, right?"

The grandest thing of all was when his harper trained ears spied upon the whisperings of others. While Tanwen voiced her opinions openly to Z’ayr, even from his spot in the middle of the room, he could hear every word being spoken. He gave the occasional smirk, and a few chuckles, and rarely sighed. He wasn’t too concerned about what Tanwen thought of him currently, for he was a man on a mission. He looked this way and that, his attention deficit kicking-in just about the time when Z’ayr pulled K’ris on over. With a purr of delight he ran towards his objective. What else could his objective have been but a girl?
“Ladies,” he nodded, resting a hand on the table while he shifted his weight to one foot, crossing his legs over each other. Wolf had already left the scene by the time he popped over. He smiled at Marletta, seeming to study Kaiya for an instant, before resting his interest upon Kira. He honestly wasn’t even trying to be rude when he didn’t acknowledge R’yo, it’s just that his male/female sensor was switched to female only. It’s often how he got over a rejection, finding a new... victim. Victim was a harsh word, but everyone knew by now that L’der had a real determination about him.
“How is everyone doing here, good, anything I can offer any of you? My services are always open, day or night-night preferred.” He laughed at his own dirtiness, probably earning him a glare or two from at least one of the females in company, maybe even R’yo. He wasn’t paying attention to negative reactions, like usual, so he wouldn’t pick up on any weirdness from anybody. He was only focusing on the positive reactions, or how he could create positive reactions when they’d really been negative. L’der’s mind was a hard thing to figure out and sort through, it almost wasn’t even worth giving it a go. Best thing was just to accept that he was... different, putting it lightly.
~ ~ ~
If R’xis thought he was uncomfortable before, he was wrong, Akki’s words were of no help to him. The word “lover” being thrown around with such ease was making at least one of the muscles in his body cramp up. “Um... Is there something I should know about?” he asked innocently, doing his best to swallow down his nervousness when G’han shook his offered hand.
“It’s nice to meet you G’han, there’s nothing like old friends, I can see that Akki agrees plenty with me on that one. I’m sure I can speak for her in saying she’s happy that you’re back, I hope I can get to know you more now up on your return.” He laughed at the mention of having had guts to return back to the Weyr. “Yes, when it comes to Akki, you’ve got to keep your guts intact. I dare say I know all about that.” He picked up on every little detail that was going on between the two, storing them away in his mind for future reference. He had a feeling having the Bronzerider around was going to take some getting used to. As long as Akki didn’t physically act in a way that he considered being improper, than he was fine with the exchange of teasing words... It’s not as if Akki could change who she was, and he wouldn’t expect her to, not on his account. She’d learn, or so he hoped, that being with him did put her under ‘certain’ restrictions. He continued on in a light and cheery manner, knowing that there was no reason to act in any other way, for now. R’xis, like Akki, was new to the whole relationship-thing. He was giving it a go though, because to him she was worth it. “Any other old flames that you plan on seeking out G’han?” he asked him teasingly, though the question could be taken seriously if G’han chose to reveal any interesting information.

Z'ayr made a whimpering noise as he ran his fingers through his hair, "I don't know if I want an honest opinion on my hair. I'm scared as to what people would say. Is there something wrong with my hair? See, I'm starting to freak out already!". He forced his hand out of his hair, convincing himself that it looked perfectly fine. "Anything with a pulse, eh? Well I got that part down. I stand a chance yet. That boy will never see me coming." Z'ayr said as he pumped a fist into the air. He wasn't even going to bother trying to keep his gender preference hidden tonight.
"I don't think I would look so good with a black eye." The boy said with a shrug and a grin. He was glad that if he needed someone to beat someone up for him, Tanwen was always an option. She had just proved that she was quite a strong person. Though, he didn't think he had many people wanting to beat him up or vice versa. Unless they were homophobic, then maybe he would but probably not. Like he said before, black eyes were not the best accessory to carry around.
He lifted his hands in an apologizing gesture when K'ris came nearly crashing down, "Sorry! Sorry, I didn't mean to pull that hard. Sorry." Oops, the poor kid was just trying to get back to the barracks before some spazz grabbed him. "A Hawk's Eye?" Z'ayr repeated, picturing the dragonet in his head. "Sounds interesting, hopefully he won't be too much of a handful. Well, more than the usual anyways." The boy nodded, "Yeah, Dinayth." He frowned slightly when he finally dawned on him that K'ris was looking quite tired.
"Ah, sorry." He apologized again. "I'm keeping you up aren't I? Don't feel the need to hold a conversation if you're tired, I got Tanwen to keep me company."
----
Akki laughed, rolled her eyes and reached over and bonked the palm of her hand against R'xis' forehead. "You worry too much, kiddo. I assure you that G'han and I have not gotten down and dirty in our relationship." She said with a laugh. "He's not my type, arrogant like his bronze I tell you! I miss the quiet boy that I once knew before he up and left me for another Weyr!" She said wistfully, shaking her head slowly.
"Don't listen to him R'xis. He doesn't have any guts." Akki said with a snort, folding her arms across her chest before speaking loudly, directing her words towards the bronzerider, "If he had guts, he would have written to me instead of making me worry like mad!". She also refused to accept that she had chased anyone away from Dark Moon, all though it was probably true. She was stubborn that way. She unfolded her arms and leaned on the table, looking at G'han with interest. "Ooh, good question. Are you going to rekindle any former relationships while you're here? Any dirty details you're going to give me? You can't have me though G'han, keep that in mind. I'm off the market so you lost your chance there. Bet you regret it!". Akki was as cocky as a bronze too it seemed.

G'han looked questioningly at Akki. "Arrogant, eh? Maybe I'm guilty as charged. But if I'm no longer your type, guess I'll have to find someone else to warm my bed", he said with a laugh. G'han had to dramaticaly roll his eyes as Akki mentioned not writing her. "You're still going to make a fuss over that? I thought we were past that. I really don't know what I can do to make you forget it", he said with a wink.
G'han cocked an eyebrow at R'xis when he mentioned former flames. He felt it insinuated something. Surely Akki knew of his past relationship, but this brownrider? Then Akki seemed to jump on the boat and G'han seemed to ease a bit. "I'd rather not talk about that", he said in the most serious tone he'd spoken in since his arrival likely. Not to outright be rude, but the tone did imply they respectfully drop the subject. It was obviously still a sore spot. "As for you, Akki", he picked up quickly in a more lighthearted tone, "Whether I regret it or not is for me to know and you to find out". He said then followed it by sticking his tongue out at her quickly.

Kira eyed this new male that dared come over and introduce himself to a flock of girls (and one other guy), especially when Kira was in said flock of girls. She only raised an eyebrow at his seemingly cruder joke, but other than that was not bothered by it. "You may be able to help me", she said coyly with a wink. Already she was getting a feel for his personality after having witnessed his previous partner. Dare she go for it and see how she faired against him? "It seems I have no partner to dance with and I do so wish to dance", she said mock longingly as she stared at the dance floor. She then looked back at him with a feline like glare that dared him respond.

P'rin chuckled. "I am glad that she's a happy Queen for your sake. Rumor has it that Kaith is a rather touchy dragon. It makes me almost feel sorry for our esteemed Weyrwoman to have to deal with a grouchy dragon every day. Then again, you know how rumors can be. You never know what is just idle weyr gossip or what is truth. As long as she didn't have eggs she seemed tolerable enough, so I'm more inclined to think someone crossed her and thats why she got a reputation for being broody. At any rate, I'm glad Serinth has a gentle temperament. She's looking like a fine beast Wolf. Kilzanth remarked as much a few days ago."
Give her my regards. The bronzerider's blue eyes unfocused for a few seconds.
Will do Kil.
"Kilzanth sends his regards. He's arrogant as ever. He's a handful but I wouldn't trade him for the world. I think he finally stopped growing. It seemed like every day I had more hide to oil." He grinned. "He may not be the biggest bronze but he isn't the smallest and thats still a lot of hide to oil."
He shook his head. "Listen to me complaining about my bronze's size when you have a Queen. I've been well, keeping myself busy, either with Kil or helping around the Weyr or making things with the rest of my hides. I'll have to buy some more next time the Traders come around. Let me know if you ever need any hide work. I feel like I got my Mastery in Tanning and I haven't done much with it."
He watched her sit and hesitated for a moment. He must have sounded like he was rambling on to her. "May I join you?"

Sh'no realized he wasn't going to be able to find a seat much longer, so he took a seat not to far from Master Tanner P'rin and the junior weyrwoman. He didn't pay much mind, and sighed as Belyth came along side him. Awww... Come on, loosen up... Belyth tried to do, nudging his weyrling rider and looking up at his tired form. It can't be much worse, can it? At that statement, Sh'no's eyes seemed as if he was staring at the ceiling, trying to find something. You're right... It can be.... You could be a bronze.... That would only compound my problems. Sh'no replied with a slight chuckle. I wouldn't change you for the world... Though I admit it would be interesting for you to be a bronze... He added afterwards, eyes returning to normal.

R'yo's eyes widened a little when Akki described what happened to dragons whose heads got too full of conceit. "R-really?" he asked, and then, at the suggestion of getting Resith to fight Ebbeth, "a fight?" He blinked in confusion, not quite sure why she'd want them to fight...was it to shrink Ebbeth's head, perhaps? Still, he nodded and smiled, looking a tad confused. He was distracted from his thoughts by Z'ayr, however, but once again he looked a bit confused, and asked curiously, "what is 'fab' Admin's Note:
" He'd heard Z'ayr use that word, but not anyone else thus far, and now he had to wonder what it meant.
Suddenly, however, the boy was up and gone, and the question was left hanging, so he turned a bit crimson and then turned his attention back to Kira, who was offering a hand, which he took gently and shook with a smile. It seemed that everyone at Dark Moon-well, mostly everyone-was really nice and easy to get along with. "You impressed the copper one, right? Ayerith? She looked really pretty-is she like a gold kind of?" he asked curiously. He'd never really seen one before now, but he knew about golds, because Wolf, his best friend's sister, had one.
Speaking of Wolf, he stammered in reply to her question, "erm...y-yes...uh...we did." He smiled weakly, but then politely turned his attention back to Kira. He'd only met her just today, even though he had seen her at Candidate Lessons. He'd been a lot more withdrawn during those, however, and only had associated with a few people. He figured he would need to 'branch out' as it were.
He looked over to see another male, who introduced himself as Sh'no, and the dragon as Belyth. He hadn't even been aware that another male had gotten a brown! He grinned, and then said, "R'yo-my dragon is Resith." He glanced at the others, wondering if they'd introduce themselves as well.
~~~~~~
Kestrel watched Tieler go, hoping the girl would be all right. Whatever personal demons she had, it was true...she needed to find her own strength and face them when she was ready. Better that no one pushed her, better that she do this on her own with support but not with pressure. She stood up and stretched, and headed directly for where Hasima sat, sitting down beside her with a smile, explaining, "sorry, I got caught up talking with someone for a bit...I meant to come see you first," she admitted, taking a couple of meat rolls and some tubers and placing them on her plate. She hadn't had too much chance to eat, and she was sure that Hasima probably wondered where she'd gone off to. Seeing as how the other girl was her best friend at this Weyr, it made sense that Kestrel would have sought her out first. What would Hasima make of having two good friends who were females with blues? She wanted to talk to Akki about that...a blue wasn't like getting a green or another female dragon...what happened during flights? What was it like? She had a lot of questions, that was for sure. However, she could address them later.
~~~~~~
Raska spotted Tieler coming but didn't stare or watch her walk over. No, that wasn't her style. She wasn't put off by the fact that Tieler had gone to talk to someone else. A little jealous, maybe. She had felt kind of segregated against when everyone walked off, leaving her alone, while Tieler was off talking to Kestrel. Still, she wasn't exactly the jealous type, so she didn't let it bother her. If Tieler wanted to chat it up with Kestrel, there was no real reason she shouldn't. Still, she picked up on the blush and quickly said, "good as it can be, really. You get whatever you needed said said?" Kero looked up at Tieler, squinting his eyes sleepily in the light from the glows overhead. He had a full belly and cats with full bellies liked to sleep. He was curled up on Raska's lap, purring softly.
Raska nodded to the chair, and then said, "chill out. Didn't bother me any that you wanted to chat with her. She seems okay, I guess..." she was quiet a moment, and then, "something bugging you? I mean, I know it sucked big ones that you didn't impress-we both didn't," she added, emphasis on 'both'. "Still, I get the feeling that not impressing wasn't exactly why you're all outta' it. If you want to tell me what's up, I'm not gonna' judge you for it. Hope you know that," she said, a little gruffly, and then, "if not, I get it. Not gonna' hold that against you, either." She smirked suddenly, and stretched. "Man, liveliest thing going on here is that perv and the prude dancing." She grinned, obviously having been talking about L'der and Tanwen, then asked, "did you catch any of that? Pretty sharding nuts, if you ask me. I wonder if girls like her just act like they don't want the attention. Playing hard to get, and all that," she commented, though really she could care less. L'der was a total perv, he'd be the type to try and kiss anything female.
~~~~~~
X'ion was a bit uncomfortable talking about this all. It was a bit much for him, so he just said with a shrug, "no name, no one who knows her...I doubt we'll ever meet her, and maybe it's better that way. She might have not had a choice in giving us up. But honestly, what gets me is why we even both care so much," he said, looking up at J'kiran, eyes somber. "Children are fostered out to both the Creche and different foster parents all the time. How are we any different?" He realized though, that they were. They both cared, because even fostered out children or children at the Creche knew their parents. So, he added, "true, we never knew who our parents were. Would've been nice to know what they were like, what they did with their lives..." he trailed off and cleared his throat. He was really done talking about the parents they'd not known. It seemed out of place for a hatching feast-especially their own.
"Well, uncanny that we ended up finding each other. Never saw that coming. Maybe we should just be focusing on that. Our parents never contacted us, so now we know that we're...brothers..." he had a bit of a time with that word, still, in reference to a total stranger, "maybe we ought to just focus on that aspect." He tried a half-smile on for size, taking a sip of his juice to clear out the dryness in his throat. It was a topic he'd always thought about on his own, it was so strange to be discussing it with this new found brother of his. Very strange, and a tad awkward. Still, he wasn't big on personal relationships, and he knew that needed to change. He was a Weyrling now, he needed to make some bonds with people...who better than J'kiran, his own long lost brother?
~~~~~~
T'kal looked around to see where K'ris had gotten himself to, and spotted him by the boy who'd impressed the rather feminist blue. He grinned, and walked on over, having finished with his food. "Kris, you look just about ready to pass out on us!" He commented, eyes sparkling brightly. He nodded to Z'ayr, and then said with a grin, "congrats on your dragon... Admin's Note:
" Obviously he was waiting for the new honorific name, and that of the dragon. He supplied, "I'm now officially T'kal of White Sarcth." Speaking of Sarcth, his brows furrowed a little in concern. He could feel the tiny dragonet was still asleep, but the 'tiny' part did concern him somewhat. Would the small white be all right? He seemed to be just tired, and the morning and another feeding ought to see him aright.

OOC| Sorry for any mistakes or misses here, I did my best, but I’ve got to run off to class now. XD Kat, I’ll be adding Tieler’s part at lunch.
R’xis wasn’t at all surprised to be bonked on the head by Akki, she was always quite physical whenever she was trying to get her points across. Its not like he minded, either way. He laughed heartily, glad that he was able to be here during her reunion with this fine fellow. He was finally starting to get into the rhythm of the two, though he was guessing it’d take a lot more time for him to really be a part of this secret society. Can’t be so secret now that I know about it, he thought to himself, grinning. When Akki seemed to take his question just the way it had sounded, and turned it on G’han, he felt a bit ashamed of himself for having been so forward. “Its all right, I understand,” he replied, following along with the subject change once G’han showed to be as sensitive about it as he thought he would be. R’xis too wouldn’t have spoken about such ordeals with a stranger, or likely anyone for that matter. His guilt was starting to recede when he the conversation was brought back to Akki.
“Sometimes regrets are a worthwhile thing,” he added pointedly, “it helps you to appreciate things more when they roll around. I have quite a few regrets,” he nodded. He knew that G’han would know nothing of how long it’d taken him to find Wolf, and how he’d had to send his little sister away. That was something he hadn’t really gotten over, missing all that time with her. He hoped that by now she’d forgiven him, if she’d ever really been up set with him for the action in the first place. They’d never really spoken about it... maybe they should?
~ ~ ~
Wolf turned a light pink from his comment about Serinth. Anything nice said about either her or her dragon often made the coloration of her face change. “Well Kilzanth is quite a fine beast himself, please let him know I’ve said so, and on behalf of Serinth since she thinks so too. And thank you, P’rin... Thank Kilzanth too for his kindness.”
Wolf chuckled, because as soon as the words were out of her mouth Serinth’s voice registered in her head. Wolfmine, that is quite embarrassing! Your Serinth doesn’t want to have such thoughts known to others. To explain her laughter she told P’rin: “She’s shy...” she trailed off, having been about to say “too,” but that’s not ever something she wanted the boy to know about herself, though most noticed rather quickly. Please also send my regards to P’rin and Kilzanth both, Serinth asked of her rider. She was far too embarrassed now to send her regards to Kilzanth directly. Wolf shook her head in disbelief of her dragon, had she contributed to making her so bad around the male dragons?
“Serinth sends her regards to you and Kilzanth both and say "Hello" to him personally for me. And yes, having such a large dragon really is a handful. I too wouldn’t trade Serinth for anything, having her has been a true blessing.” Up on hearing of Kilzanth’s arrogance she could only smirk, having been told full well how a Bronze’s attitude got the best of them sometimes. “He is a Bronze, so some arrogance is permitted there, I would think. He’s a good size for a Bronze, tell him that too if you will.” Wolf groaned, slapping a hand over her face, “The oiling drives me insane sometimes!” She smiled warmly, nodding in a cheery manner when he gave what seemed like an apology, “I’m still not accustomed to Serinth’s size so I can fully relate. She is small for a Queen, as most notice, yet somehow I think I prefer her that way. Its what makes her more humble, in my opinion-her knowing that she’s smaller than most Queens I mean. I’m glad that you’ve been well, I must admit, I feel most certainly guilty that I’ve not spoken to you more; what with us having grown up together as Weyrlings.” She diverted her eyes, her shoulders crunching forward as she reflected on that point. He was sweet to offer doing any sort-of service for her, “You’ll be the first to know if I need anything involving hide” she assured him. “Oh, yes! Please do.” Her face re-colored, and she mentally cursed herself for being so transparent. She was happy to hear him talk, not at all feeling as if the boy was rambling. It was refreshing, to have him be at least be open enough with her to feel comfortable talking to her about personal matters.

"There's nothing wrong with it," Tanwen replied to Z'ayr's whimpering, rolling her eyes a bit, but with a small smile. He really was worse than a girl somtimes; and she could say that honestly, because she was one. She nodded in reply when he went on to talk about L'der some more, scoffing a bit and sending a quick glare across the feasthall at him as he made his way over to another group of girls. "He's all yours."
She looked back over to the newcomer when Z'ayr went into apology mode for tugging him into a seat. She chose to keep quiet while the boys went on to talk. If she started talking, she'd start throwing insults around out of habit; and if Z'ayr was being friendly with them, she wasn't particularly interested in insulting them.

K'ris nodded tiredly in reply to Z'ayr giving his dragon's name. "Good name," he muttered in reply, looking over to Z'ayr once more when he asked if he was keeping K'ris up. The blond smiled lopsidedly and shrugged. "It's all right," he assured him. "I've gotta round up enough energy to get out of the chair again first, anyway."
That was when T'kal headed on over to them, and he gave his friend a nod in greeting. After T'kal gave his introduction of his dragon K'ris noticed the worried look that came across his face. "Hey, buddy. Don't worry about the little guy," he assured him, and his words were actually starting to slur together a little. "It's been a long day for all of us, and the four of us have been though a bit more...eh..." He moved his hand around a bit as if trying to usher the thought forward. "We've been through a bit more than the others, what with going through the floodwater with a couple of dragons."
K'ris paused for a moment and brought his hand up to his mouth as he yawned, then looked back to T'kal, offering a lopsided smile that he intended to be reassuring to the boy. "I'll bet Sarcth passed out before you even got the barracks, right? Don't worry about it. After all that, little guys just...." He yawned again, squinting an eye shut and shaking his head once. "They just get tired faster than..." The sentence was not to be finished. The eye that K'ris had squinted shut didn't open, and his other eye actually followed suit. A moment later he was falling over in his chair, and ending up leaning - passed out - against Z'ayr.

J'kiran listened to what X'ion had to say without interrupting, and once he trailed off after asking the question of how they were any different, J'kiran shook his head once. "Who's to say we are any different?" he asked in return. "Yes, we don't know who our parents really are, but even the fosterlings who do know were left to be fostered for some reason. Maybe they know who their parents are, but not where they are now, or why they chose to leave them behind in the first place." J'kiran thought for a moment, then shook his head once more and went on. "I suppose the only fosterlings who really have a fact-for-fact knowledge of who their parents are and why they were left, are those who are in fosters because their parents died."
That was when X'ion changed the subject, and J'kiran smiled. He got the feeling that his brother didn't want to dwell too much on the previous topic, and so he went along with the subject change. "You're right," he agreed with a nod, his usual warm smile still there. "Just finding out that I have a brother is more than I could ever have hoped for in finding answers about my blood family." He took up his cup of juice and sipped at it.
"The fact that you've got a picture of them is quite the added bonus. The main thing is, we're not alone anymore." He knew of course that he hadn't been alone with his foster parents there, but this was something different. "I've heard so much through my life about how a bond between brothers is supposed to be stronger than most things." He looked back to X'ion and shrugged with a smile. "I suppose we'll get to see if that's true at all, hm?"

"Please don't. His ego is big enough. Keep complimenting him and he's going to swell even bigger and I won't be able to deal with him." He grinned to let her know he was joking, his teeth a white flash in his tanned skin. His eyes crinkled with amusement. "I am flattered that such a beauty of a Queen thinks so highly of my bonded partner."
Are you by chance flirting? Its about sharding time! Thankfully the dragon spoke only to his rider and not to the Queenrider and her beast.
P'rin blushed slightly. He hoped that it wasn't that obvious to Wolf. "It seems both our dragons have input on our conversation. Kil and I both thank you for your regards."
"I have a flitt, brown Falarn that helps me with Kilzanth's hide. Do you have flitts to help you with Serinth? If you don't I could send Falarn to you when you need help. He's a lazy thing if I don't give him tasks. He's getting fat."
He set his plate and mug of juice down on the table next to her and pulled out a chair. His lean form was relaxed as he took a bite of roast wherry. "Have you tasted some of the wherry? It is really good tonight, not that I would expect anything less from the cooks tonight."

Tieler didn’t want Raska thinking she had something to be guilty for, though for how long she’d been talking to Kestrel, she figured that Raska would suspect that something was indeed up. “Yah-yah, I did,” she replied seriously. It seemed to her like Raska was jealous, but out of respect she wasn’t going to comment. If anything it was refreshing, she couldn’t remember the last time someone had truly desired her company. She felt the edges of her anger starting to pull over her in a strangling hold when Raska brought-up that Kestrel seemed okay, the girl was more than okay... but Raska was the one that was her friend. She’d needed to talk to Kestrel to get some things cleared up, some things that Raska couldn’t clear up, though that didn’t mean that Raska wouldn’t be the one she told the truth in the end. She pressed down her anger, knowing there was no point for it really-especially since Raska was probably only voicing her opinions because she’d felt bad about being abandoned. So, really, she felt that Raska was lying when she said it didn’t bother her that she’d wanted to talk to Kestrel. It didn’t matter though, because, as she’d thought prior, she enjoyed parts of Raska feeling this way.
“I know...” she trailed off, feeling intensely guilty, but her nervousness overweighed it. Then she remembered some of the points Kestrel had brought out and she let out a breath she didn’t know that she’d been holding like many of the other times tonight. “See, thing is, I do want to talk to you about it Raska. I’m not avoiding telling you, I’m avoiding telling anyone, and if I ever were to talk to anyone about-you know, what’s going-it would be you.” Her voice had lowered to a barely audible whisper when she’d started to refer to ‘the incident,’ as she was calling it. The issue at present was taking up so much of her mind that she only nodded faintly to what Raska had said about the Weyrling boy and Candidate girl. She just continued on as if nothing had been said about them at all, coming to a conclusion, “I will tell you, just not here, not now. Wait until after, tomorrow perhaps...” She physically flinched, not liking the idea of revealing what was on her mind so soon, or ever. If she kept on putting it off although, like she was trying to do, then she’d never get it out and this vicious circle would only continue until she allowed it to take her over. Being all sincere like this, talking gushy; wasn’t ever going to be her strong suit. Now she accepted a topic change, deciding poking fun at L’der might raise her spirits some. “Yes, that boy is a perv; I really hope somebody knocks some sense into him. Perhaps the flamboyant one, that’d be a sight. Two idiots beating on each other, both getting what they deserve,” she snorted. Her retreat to violence wasn’t going to cure itself; she’d have to work at it.
~ ~ ~
She melted under his smile, and felt like a child all over again, feeling privileged to be the one he chose to joke around with. It had to be known that Wolf was like this around all males, she wasn't good at talking to them, and therefore when she did decide to speak or act out her actions could often be perceived as an immediate liking. Did not any of the other girls suit his fancy more than her; surely there was a far better selection elsewhere in the Weyr that didn’t include her? She rested her hands in her lap and twiddled her thumbs under the table, trying to keep her mind focused. The blue of his eyes got her staring, and it was too late, by the time her eyes were-as inconspicuously as possible-trying to catch his own, she was stuttering. Why couldn't she act normal around the male persuasion for once? No wonder all her friends were girls, other than R'xis, but he didn't count. “W-well... Serinth is beautiful, b-but...” She gave a sheepish grin, “Regardless of the fact that I tell her that all the time, I’m sure your opinion will please her greatly.” This one is what they’d call a keeper, is he not Mine? I appreciate his compliments, I really do! Serinth remarked aloud for P’rin and Kilzanth to hear also. Wolf broke eye contact with him, staring down at her lap in shock. “Do they make muzzles for dragons?” she muttered, trying to find a way to make him laugh about Serinth’s open nature. Wolf only then noticed the faint blush on P’rin’s cheeks when she looked back up, and she really hoped that neither Serinth nor she had embarrassed him now too.
“Yes, it would seem that our dragons are quite the opinionated pair. I really doubt that there will ever be a time when Serinth doesn’t feel it necessary to comment on one thing or another. Not that it’s a bad thing my love,” she said, obviously speaking to Serinth when having said the last bit. She shrugged, “Seems like there’s not much we can let them do but talk, I feel as if they have an agenda of their own sometimes,” she teased. “Oh, a flitt! Falarn you say? Well, well, he must come in handy quite often then! I really wish I had one of my own, but alas, I don’t. That’s very...” she chose her words carefully, wondering which would be proper, “sweet of you to offer. I really wouldn’t want to impose on your flitt though, Serinth can be quite stubborn sometimes and decide that she wants to up and leave right in the middle of oiling. I make her stay of course but I’m sure that Falarn would become irritated with her, especially since she’s so chatty.” For a dragon Wolf had always thought that odd, that a dragon-especially a Queen-was a chatterbox like Serinth. Thing was, nothing about the dragons in Dark Moon ever seemed all that ordinary to her. Take Ebbeth for example, he was an oddball, but a loveable one. She didn’t want to completely reject his offer, it’s not like she couldn’t use the help, and it just came back to the matter of imposing upon him. “If you think he can handle it though, than I don’t see why not.” She’d leave it up to him. “I’m sure he’d appreciate to lose the weight?” Wolf snickered, imaging the pudgy flitt. “Oh, yes, I’ve tried it! It is quite mouth-watering, isn’t it? The cooks have outdone themselves, though most of the cooking at Dark Moon has always been something to be desired, in my personal opinion anyhow. And as you said, tonight is no ordinary night. I remember sneaking down into the kitchens as a Candidate to get a bite to eat.”

P'rin started laughing. "At least Kilzanth kept his comment between the two of us! Sometimes I wish they did make muzzles for dragons. Since Serinth voiced that to both of us, I'll tell you what Kilzanth said. He asked me if I was flirting with you and said its about sharding time I flirt with a girl."
"From what I've heard about bronzes I'm in for a lifetime of it too." He smirked. "Kil isn't commenting so I know its true." P'rin sent a mental call and the little brown popped from *between.* With all the noise, he promptly gave a frightened squeak and vanished again.
I'm going to send him back. He darted under my wing. The bronze's voice sounded in both of their minds and a second later the chubby brown flitt appeared again and started to go for P'rin's neck, but his hair was pulled back and he knew his master would scold if he undid the runner tail, the rider had done it before. So, he darted under the nearest available hair to hide under, Wolf's.
"Falarn!" P'rin's voice was stern and commanding, but the shaking firelizard refused to emerge from under the Queenrider's hair. "You are a disgrace! Wolf I am sorry. He doesn't know it is not polite to hide under the Junior Weyrwoman's hair. He usually lazes about all day and I didn't think that the noise would scare him this bad."
"Maybe Serinth would get annoyed with him but I know he likes helping oil. However, he had to go and embarass me like this so I might just make him fly laps around the lake to get the weight off!"
He broke a piece of roast off his chunk and tried to offer it to the flitt but he simply wrapped his tail tighter around the girl's neck. "Stop it Falarn. You're going to choke her!"

“Well, you thought wrong. We’re not past that and we won’t be for a very long time. You owe me big time G’han, I thought somebody beat you to death or something.” The bluerider replied with a huff, giving the bronzerider the evil eye for making her worry so much. Okay, she wasn’t really all that worried but she could pretend she was at least. She leaned towards R’xis, talking in a loud whisper “He doesn’t want to talk about it because he’s bad in bed.” She patted G’han on the arm comfortingly, “It’s okay though, it’s not your fault. Honest.”
She rolled her eyes, “Of course you regret it. Everyone regrets not getting with me. The people who have gotten with me and then ditched out reeeeally regret. Probably crying somewhere right this moment.” The idea of R’dan and the other former guys in her life crying made her feel a bit better about herself. She winked at R’yo who looked quite confused before shrugging slightly, “I think it’s a shortened version of ‘Fabulous’. It’s Z’ayrs favorite word by the looks of it.”
She leaned back in her chair and eyed the new bluerider from where she sat. “He’s not doing such a good job at hiding his preference, is he?” She giggled, sticking her tongue out slightly at no one on particular. She drummed her hands on her legs happily, “I regret nothing. Nothing at all! I’m a carefree girl who will never hold any regrets, ever. And that’s final.”
She looked over at who R’yo was talking to and grinned, “Hey Sh’no. We’re talking about past flames and current regrets. Got any dirrrrrty details you want to let out?” She enjoyed rolling her R’s on the word Dirty. Akki snapped her fingers happily, pointing at Sh'no "Congrats on the brown also, what's his name? You seem like a brown rider, it's a perfect match." She turned away from the brownrider as Kestrel also joined their table, “Congratulations! Finally a new female bluerider. I was worried I was going to be the only one. What’s his name?”
----
Hasima jumped slightly in her chair, she hadn’t seen Kestrel come her way and when the girl spoke to her she was startled. “Oh.” Hasima hadn’t minded that Kestrel was talking to someone else; she knew that there were other priorities. “It’s fine.” She said with a small smile. She considered Kestrel her best friend. She had other friends, but it seemed she was able to connect with Kestrel better than anyone else. “Ah, congratulations on Impressing.” She said before she forgot, a smile on her face. “I knew you would.” The yellowrider added, bobbing her head up and down happily. “Were you surprised to get a blue?” Dark Moon now had two female blueriders, were male dragons impressing females more often now? Or was the gender thing more of a guideline now, since L’der impressed a green. It was confusing in her mind.
----
“I think I have to decide whether or not I actually want him now.” Z’ayr said with a giggle. “I think I rather have a guy who wasn’t so…flirtatious, that’s the nicer word for it I suppose.” He grinned. Mind you, at this rate it seemed like he wouldn’t find anyone at Dark Moon. Where were all the guys into guys? How drab, he wasn’t the only one was he? Maybe he could convert some people, convince them that guys are more fun. No offense to any of the girls.
“I think that’s my fault, I just prevented him from going to the barracks.” Z’ayr admitted as T’kal joined the group that was starting to form now. “It’s Z’ayr. I guess Z’ayr of Blue Dinayth in all.” He said with a frown, he would have to get to introducing himself like that for now on. “Congratulations on Sarcth. He’s the second white of Dark Moon right? I wonder if they are becoming more popular now.” He’d heard from Akki and some others that a girl who used to go to Dark Moon Impressed a white Turns earlier. Z’ayr looked at K’ris, a smile playing on his lips. “I can’t tell if you drank too much or are just tired.” He said, referring to the boys slurring. He soon got his answer though as K’ris began to tilt and ended up on Z’ayr. He chewed the inside of his cheek, and scratched the back of his head. “I guess it would be wrong to violate someone when they’re sleeping, huh?”

G'han simply let Akki go on, he really wasn't bothered by her constant prodding and jokes. But when she was done, he'd finally speak up. "You know, for someone who says I'm not their type, you sure can't keep your hands off me", he said bluntly. He then spun his chair to face the right direction, sat back down, and propped his elbows on the table and rested his head in his hands. "Either be honest with me or stop feeling me up. I don't know if I like being violated when the violater is telling me she's just not into me", G'han said with a wink. It probably wasn't going to stop Akki at all, nothing really ever did stop Akki at doing what she wanted. He'd also understood a long while back that Akki was a very physical person, a "touchy feely" type.

OOC| I’ll do L’der and Wolf later...
By this time R’xis was getting tired, not just physically but mentally. The two were only getting more and more perverted by the second. He scrunched up his nose, as if smelling something real bad. The food in his stomach wasn’t digesting properly, not with the environment, not with the increasing tiredness. He pulled back, running a hand through his blond hair, fixing the other on his hip with a resigned sigh.
“You all have a good time,” he said with a sweeping motion of his arm. “I’m going to head off to bed, I have some work to do tomorrow and staying up isn’t going to help the cause any.” He took a thoughtful step forward and leaned down, kissing Akki on the cheek, whispering in her ear: “Good-night love.” Then he nodded to G’han, “Been a pleasure,” he told him calmly. Then he gave Hasima a friendly nod, and did the same to Z’ayr-glancing at each and every person gathered there before turning about to leave. He walked out the door and down the hall... Ersith’s voice came into his head, comforting, affectionate.

Akki lifted her hands above her head, "Ack! It's not my fault. My hands do their own thing and I don't even notice it." She lowered them back onto her legs. It was mostly true too, which was the sad part. "I'll think I'll be waving to someone and then I'll realize my hands were groping them. Do you know what will happen if I grope an unhappy person? Bad things will happen." She said with a disgusted look on her face as she looked down at her hands. Maybe she was supposed to be born into triplets, but the other two siblings were absorbed into her and became her hands instead. Then again, that thought didn't really comfort her. Did she wash her twin hands enough? Maybe that's why they were always doing their own thing, because they were mad at her. "My hands like to touch things, I can't help what they touch. I'm trying to reject you but my hands keep going over there anyways." The bluerider complained, tucking her hands underneath her legs so they would stay still.
She turned away from G'han and stared at R'xis as he left. She accepted his kiss, turning her cheek towards him. "Leaving so soon?" She mumbled as he whispered a sweet good night into her ear. She watched as the boy walked off, nodding silent farewells. "I don't think I'm very good at being in relationships. I need to start keeping my hands and words to myself for now on." She admitted to G'han. Her blue and green flecked eyes slid out of focus for a moment as she contacted Ebbeth. When they became in focus again she turned her attention once more to G'han, "You're good at relationships right? Give me some pointers, yeah?"
Dear Ersith, I feel awkward for what I'm about to say but I've been asked to pass it on to your rider. Mine says that that wasn't a proper kiss and that he now owes her. The blue rumbled softly from his weyr to his favourite brown. He fell silent for a moment before adding, Also give him my condolences, Akki tends to be very affectionate to everyone and can never realize where to draw a line.

G'han raised an eyebrow at Akki. "I see. So your hands have a mind of their own. It's your hands that can't keep...themselves off me", G'han's tone dripping with sarcasm. He then gave a smirk and shook his head, arms moving along with him. "You never change Akki. You're still just as strange and spontanious as ever", he reminded her.
G'han simply gave a half smile and leaned up a bit to unprop his elbows so he could give a wave goodbye to R'xis. "Later man", was all he said. He then turned back his full attention to Akki after the brownrider left. "I don't know. Maybe it's just how our friendship works that bothers him? We might have been a bit flirty, I really can't tell when it's us", G'han admitted truthfully. He really couldn't tell with her, it's just how the two were. Around Akki, he felt he could be himself. Which actually meant some of those usual bronzerider traits came out, such as having an ego or speaking boldly. "If it helps, you can tell him I'm just not that into you?", G'han offered innocently with a just as innocent look on his face as he flung his hands up and out and shrugged his shoulders.
G'han then gave Akki a serious look as she mentioned his own relationships. He shook his head and answered, "I was good at relationships, once." G'han fell silent again, remembering how that ended. One arguement, and that was it. The whole thing fell apart over one arguement, and it was all misunderstood. He shook his head again, trying to shake off the memory. "Don't let one arguement ruin it. And if that person is worth fighting for, search her out when she leaves", G'han said, not meaning to say she (OOC: Really didn't mean to put she, but saw it and thought it worked better. xD) but it was too late for that now and he wasn't really paying attention. His mind was more in a dream like state now.
