"You know my name? That's slightly stalker-ish and obsessive. But I can live with that. You're right, I am Akki and the dragon staring at you right now is Ebbeth who's pleased to meet you even if he will disagree." Akki said, pointing to the large blue.I deny that last comment Akkimine. I am indeed pleased to meet him Ebbeth said to his rider and the boy. She rolled her eyes with a grin before straightening herself and returned to treading water.
She was listening to Ebbeth complain that it wasn't fair she spoke for him when she lied, he said this in a pouting but amused tone of course, when she caught Roxis' sentence. "...Your Wolf's? That sounds raunchy, did she claim you or something?" She said, laughing good naturedly.

"I've heard other people talking to you," Roxis spoke up in his own defense. He knew the girl was only joking but even then, maybe somewhere inside she did feel that he was kind-of creepy for knowing her name without her having said anything... The boy's gaze turned to Ebbeth, amazed by the sight of the Blue dragon. "He is truly awesome," Roxis said, not having meant to speak his mind.
As Akki's second comment came about himself being claimed by Wolf he gagged, completely grossed out by the thought. He moved closer to Akki, not wanting anyone else to hear what he was about to say next. He wouldn't be able to live with Akki having that kind-of thought in her head! The only thing he saw himself being able to do was replying with the truth. "Wolf's my sister," he whispered, feeling more embarrassed then he had yet. He put a hand on Akki's shoulder as to silence her for a brief moment longer as he added, "she doesn't know and I don't exactly want her to... I don't think..."

"I'm hoping they said good things then, that way you won't think I'm fully insane." She said with a small grin, her imagination running wild as she pictured people saying thingd about her, about how weird she was. Ebbeth looked at Roxis, gave the boy a dragonic grin and said to Akki, I like him.. "Of course you like him, everyone likes compliments." She said with a roll of her eyes before relaying the message to Roxis.
She listened but didn't react for a moment, not fully understanding until it her like...well, like something. Something hard. "Oh shards!" She hissed, her eyes wide with surprise. "Are you serious? What do you mean she doesn't know? Have you not told her or something? Ew. Ignore what I just said about her claiming you then. Ew, ew, ew. That's just wrong." She said, shaking her head with a disgusted look on her face. "Why haven't you told her?" She asked, curious. Thankfully, she kept her voice down to a whisper.
Curious like his rider, it was something they had in common, Ebbeth lowered his head, listening in on the convesation with curiousity mized in with the whilring blue of his eyes.

Roxis couldn't help but laugh at Ebbeth's comment. "Well I like him too." Like rider, like dragon, he was one interesting blue. His characteristics, from what he could tell, took on a human-like resemblance. The boy savored another glance at the magnificent blue before his stomach began to wrench from Akki's questioning. He knew he would've had to talk about Wolf and... him. Sooner or later anyways.
"We got separated, it was a long time ago," he whispered. He took a deep breath before continuing on, in disbelief that he was talking about it right here, in a lake. "When she was a little girl it wasn't safe for her in the Weyr we were in, our dad had gone even more insane then usual once our mom died." Roxis looked to wards Akki, his eyes dimming, "he always took everything out on her. Sometimes I just couldn't be there to stop him and I was sick and tired of having her be in pain because that jerk couldn't control his temper." Roxis realized his voice was rising some because of how emotional he was over the whole situation. "To make a long story short I handed her over to a dragonrider, he promised to take her to a different Weyr, after I told him I'd found her all alone and that she had told me she'd been abandoned." He stopped talking for a second, shaking his head back and forth lightly, blond bangs falling in his blue eyes. "It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, she was my best friend, but I did it for her... Now I just feel like she's forgotten about the wretched life she used to live. She's happy here, she's made some friends...I just feel that maybe if I stay out of her life her memories will stay buried." The feeling in his stomach only intensified as he became more stressed.

Akki grinned at Roxis and then to Ebbeth, who seemed content with Roxis. Mostly because the boy had complimented him, and it's hard not to like someone after they admired you. "You're going to make his head swell up with pride and then he will fly lopsided." Akki jokingly warned, who got an indignant huff from Ebbeth.
She listened to Roxis's story and amazingly didn't interrupt once. She felt her throat tighten, and tears try to rise to her eyes but she fought them. "I can relate to the father thing, mine acted the same way after my mom died. It broke my brothers heart to see him like that, but he knew that there was nothing we could do to change that and that he had snapped for the last time. He couldn't turn back to normal even if he wanted too, we probably wouldn't have trusted him again.".
"Do you really want memories of her brother to stay buried though? I haven't seen K'iah, that's my brother, for probably...well, since I was ten I believe. Every day I wish I could see him, you know. She sees you probably about every day, but she doesn't know who you are. What's worse, never seeing your brother or seeing him everyday but you lack the knowledge of who he is?" She asked, realizing she was talking an awful lot and was probably making this a lot worse. "Shards, I'm sorry. I'm making this worse aren't I? I suck at being responsible and such.".

He laughed again at her joke, giving Ebbeth a sheepish grin as the blue huffed. It was great... having someone to talk to like this. It had been a really long time since...no, actually he had 'never' had anyone to talk to like this. He wasn't sure if she would permit him to call her a friend just yet but he hoped with all his heart that she would. He found himself staring at her for a moment until she began to speak, then he was all ears.
"I never really thought of it like that... I guess all I've really been thinking about is how I don't want her to be going through anymore pain... Even then, maybe its been me all along that just didn't want to be hurt-" he cut his sentence short, looking off to the side. He tried to hold it together, though he had seen that Akki too was struggling with her own emotions while he was speaking to her. He didn't want this to be the first thing Akki remembered about him, he wanted her to see him... differently. Oh by the first egg, he was just thinking of everything all at once. He tried to calm down, looking back to Akki, though his expression was fairly blank. He wanted to be open, its what he needed right now, more then anything, and that was the one thing he was sure of. "I guess I'm partly worried about her not seeing me the same way as she used to. I didn't find her as quickly as I had said I would, though I tried... I swear I did..." He had to look away again, cursing himself for looking like a girl in front of this particular girl.

The green exalted in the water flowing over her form. She twisted and twirled underwater before coming up for breath. Being small and lithe the green didn't worry about knocking into any one or body. She peered around the group watching and listening to random snippets of information. She lazily swung her tail side to side as she swam around the lake.
Lira ignored the green's comments about grooming her one and most important dragon. She knew that Avith just wanted some attention, but she'd been neglecting Silken lately. She doubted she would be able to get up if she wanted to anyway. The feline was lounged out her lap luxuriously. Lira wrinkled her nose a little at all the fur that was being accumulated on her pants and shirts but smiled when the feline purred louder and batted at her hand demanding more brushing.

She looked at her blue, who seemed distracted, rolled her eyes and said, "Go on then. We all know the reason you came down here for.". Ebbeth, looking slightly sheepish, slinked over to the green, curious. Hello, I am Ebbeth, and you are? He asked, glancing back at his mine for a second.
She listened to Roxis, to his words and to his pauses as he tried to think of how to word things. A slight smile reached her lips but she said nothing, and she wouldn't say anything until he finish saying all he wanted, all that was needed. "You're her brother, what other way can she see you but the brotherly way? I doubt she would hate you, I mean, you did come find her in the end. And you tried to look for her, but it took longer than you thought. Life's unexpected, you know?" She said, thinking of what to say as she went along. "Keep in mind though, I forbid you to tell anyone what I'm saying. I'm not very good with sentimental things." She said with a mock grimace.

"Life is totally unexpected." Roxis smirked mischievously, "I swear, not a word will be spoken of this." He felt glad that he was the one who got the opportunity to see the sentimental-side of her. A look of pride danced in his eyes but soon disappeared as he thought of how Akki's life had been similar to his own. He had the sudden urge to comfort her but shied away from the thought. "I'm sorry to hear that you haven't seen your brother... I can honestly say I know exactly how you feel. Its too bad, when things just change."
He felt better then he had in ages, taking in a deep breath of fresh air as he found himself staring at the Blue rider once again. This time he noticed more quickly, a small blush rising to his cheeks as he eyed the skies. "Today was better then I expected, way better," he said more slowly.

She shrugged in return for his concern and said with a small smile, "I'll see him eventually. After all, Ebbeth will eventually become too curious and demands he meets my brother and his brown, Prirth.". She looked at Ebbeth, who was patiently waiting near the green, his tail flicking. "Yep, a matter of time.". "I'll keep you to that word too, I can't have people think I've gone too soft." She said with a wink.
She stretched, only to fall back against the water with a small splash, looking up at the skies. "I know, right? Truthfully I thought I'd be the only one here, with Ebbeth of course. And then everyone appeared. It's great. To see everyone again, well mostly everyone, having fun.".

It seemed Avith had already forgotten she was miffed with Lira for semi pleased feelings were being sent. Lira looked up wondering what the dragon was up to to see a blue near her dragon. A smile spread across her face. At least Avith was making friends. Lira had been reclusive and despite what Avith might say she wasn't as outgoing as she appeared. She liked Lira around for moral support. ~I heard that~ Lira shook her head and left Avith to pestering the dragon.
Avith dipped her head slightly, peering at the new dragon. I am Avith. It is nice to meet you Ebbeth. My rider is Lira. Though I doubt you know if for all she stays hidden. The last was revealed to Lira as well as Ebbeth. Lira pretended she didn't hear and continued brushing the feline though she already lived up to her name. Her fur felt like silk by now. Avith waited, apparently wishing for the name of his rider. Most dragons may not know names, and greens even more flighty but Avith tried to keep track of who was who's bonded even if all she remembered was a fuzzy impression of the person. It was even more important now that she had moved from the old weyr.

Roxis observed Akki's movements to the minor detail, especially the wink that had been directed at him (although the intention's of it had been clear). A look of amusement crossed his face, "your brother, a rider? Its great that he chose to follow the same path as you. I never really considered being a rider at first, I would've rather sat on the beach all day, withering away to nothing. Now I couldn't bare to imagine anything else for myself but being one of Pern's Dragonriders." The boy gave a solemn nod, glad to see everyone gathered here also. "Funny how things work, isn't it?" he asked rhetorically.
His mind drifted off to the hatching, "I can't say I'm too worried about what color I impress," he told Akki as he watched both Ebbeth and Avith introduce themselves. Roxis felt a pang of regret at his former comment for it hadn't of been completely true. At this particular moment he found himself wishing that he'd impress a Female Green. It was the only option he saw when it came to any dragon of his being able to be flown by Ebbeth. He brought his own hand up to smack his forehead at the thought, glad he hadn't of said it after all.

Tell her I am please to meet her, if only by name and I am please to mee you also. My rider is the girl over there, talking to with the boy, Akki. He said, scanning the area for a moment lookng for this Lira before turning his attention to the green. I am predicting that you are new here then?
She laughed and replied, "More like I chose the same path as him, unknowingly though. He Impressed long before me, six turns before probably. I haven't really met his dragon though, I did once but only for a few moments before they had to depart. Seemed nice though. I pictured myself cleaning up around the hold, being yelled at.". She said the last part with a sly grin, a mischevious twinkle in her eye.
"I thought that when I was on the sands, but I now I can't picture myself with anything other than Ebbeth. He's like a part of me, you know, the stupid part however. Don't tell him I appreciate him though, I'd never hear the end of it." She said with a grimace, just imagining her blue taunting her about that. "Come on, you must secretly wish for some colour. Tell me?" She said, in a fake, whiny voice.

"Ebbeth will never hear of it then," Roxis said to Akki in more of a hushed tone. "I wish I knew what it was like to be a Dragonrider, your so privileged." He ran a hand through his wet blond-hair gently. As her question came another blush rose to his cheeks and he was struck with nervousness, his breath becoming heavier by the passing minute. "I'm not lying, its the truth, seriously. Do I look like I would lie to you? Of course I wouldn't, especially not to you. Or anyone else either, other people are included in that equation too, don't think they're not." He blinked a few times after his quick rant. He hoped she wasn't catching on to him, that was the last-thing he wanted to do, embarrass himself. Oh wait he just had, hadn't he? Oops. He was really bad at making things unapparent at times.

"Are you blabbering nonsense because you're lying to me and can't think of anything up on the spot?" Akki teased, poking him gently in the shoulder with a grin. "I can't really say it's priveleged, then again, I'm officially taking this style of life for granted. And that's the truth." She said with a shrug as she looked over at Ebbeth who was happily having a conversation with the green. "I don't think I could go back to living the way I did. Haha, I'm such a spoiled person now." She said with a very faint blush and a laugh.
She really couldn't picture it any other way though, she couldn't imagine living with her father alone as K'iah was off gallavanting with Prirth. She couldn't imagine herself anywhere but DarkMoon, anywhere without Ebbeth. Anywhere, well, but here.

Her poke sent a slight shiver down his spine and his laughter was mirthful as she spoke of how she enjoyed her way of living. "Its great that your a Dragonrider, considering I'm going to be one too... I hope." He didn't want to ruin the moment with negativity so he ended his worries there.
The sight of her blush intensified his own and he felt himself become slightly light-headed for a mere instant. "Your many things, and spoiled isn't one of them." He choked the sentence out but none the less he managed it. "Your you and from what I can tell thus far no one else could be your match. Your just too..." His words flowed before he had time to think of what he really wanted to say. He knew the last word he wanted to add but his gaze shifted to her and he wondered how she'd respond to the word 'beautiful.' 'Am I going about this wrong way? Would it be better if I just quit now?' he thought. Metaphorically speaking, he felt like he was getting shorter.

"Tch. Don't say 'I hope'. It makes you sound like you're not sure, I mean, I can picture you as a dragon rider if that counts for anything, which I doubt." She said with a smile. It was true, she could picture Roxis as a dragon rider. A good one too. He had to become one, right?
"I'm just too odd? Scary? I say scary, I don't think anyone would be as scary as I can be. I mean scary in the 'You're so weird and different' way of course, not the 'Shards, you're a freak.' way. That's confusing." She said, realizing what she said didn't exactly make sense. She was talking nonsense, wasn't she? She noticed that he was quite for a moment, as he looked at her for a moment. "What? Is there something on my face? Behind me?".

This was enough. He was starting to shiver. He'd been in long enough to prove he was no weakling, time to go try to get warm again. Pilan headed for shore, a good distance from where he'd gone in, he wanted to avoid Miya at least while he looked wet and pathetic. It was time for dry clothes and a gallon of hot klah and soup.

"It means a lot more then you know," he told her outright. As she went on about her being scary, in the 'different' sense of the meaning he shook his head back and forth. She was different, sure, but he wasn't sure what he'd do right about now if she wasn't. "I hadn't meant it at all like that," he breathed. "I meant..." he trailed off yet again. Should she know? It seemed stupid of him to confess something so openly at this stage. His thoughts ran to how so many others waited too long and then they lost a chance of ever being able to say anything at all.
"No, there's nothing on your face, or behind you," he answered quickly. He braced himself, "I meant that your beautiful. That's what I had wanted to say originally." He bit his lip, my was he ever bold today. He knew any minute now he'd find out whether or not he had been too bold. He had never gotten close to anyone other then Wolf and he wanted that to change, over the passing days...weeks...months, he felt like he had been missing out on something. He knew this current feeling had to be it.

She watched as Pilan headed towards the shore, and bit her lip, trying not to tease him in a merry way about him leaving. And she succeeded. For once. "Really? It does?" She asked, a grin on her face as she turned to Roxis. Not many people thought her opinion was worth much. She wasn't the serious type, wasn't the person to give a serious view on things unless she felt the need. She was meant to make people laugh with or at her. More than likely at her.
"Are you sure there's nothing on my face? At all? You're not lying?" She said, placing her hands on her face, as if to see if she could feel some deformity on her face, fully expecting a dragon tail to be on her forehead, wriggling around. She looked up from his last comment, a blank look on her face and then laughed, and laughed. "Me? Sure." She said, wiping a tear that seem to appear while she laughed. "Now look what you did, you made my sides hurt." She said with a fake pout, rubbing her sides underneath the water.
