Christae walked to the lake after learning from one of the drudges that most of the riders she was close to were at the lake with a few Candidates. She had shed her shoulder knots and rank for a while. She was tired of the burden and wanted to relax for a candlemark or two before returning to deal with her proddy Queen and her grumblings about untrustworthy humans.
The Weyrwoman stood several feet away from the water, just watching the people cavorting about. On a whim the woman slipped into the skybroom trees surrounding that part of the lake and swiftly walked to where some boulders had been dumped on the side of the lake. It wasn't too far from where the riders and candidates were swimming. Christae slid her boots off as well as her overtunic. She slipped into the water and took a deep breath before swimming out. She swam until she could hear the water being churned up before her and lifted her head up briefly to get another breath and see where everyone was. She saw G'han duck Akki under just before she ducked back underwater so that no one saw her.
Christae swam underwater to where G'han was and drug him under. Then she swam away as fast as she could to the rocks again to hide. She was certain no one had seen her. She peeked between two of the boulders to see what her trick had done.

G'han was drug under water, not once but twice. He came back up for air. "Shells and shards! I can't breath under water you know", he shouted as he gasped for air. He scanned the nearby area, Akki couldn't have done that twice in a row, no they were a different set of hands. But who? K'dan wasn't around and the others were doing other things weren't they? "Strange", he said to himself and shrugged. He figured he would find out who it was eventually. He splashed Akki then said, "You have a hidden spy somewhere Akki I know it!". Azure popped in from between, wondering what these crazy humans were doing. He was having a wonderful nap with Rhia's flitt but when he could sleep no longer he decided to check up on his bonded. He popped out of the wrong place though and got hit by G'han's splash. He gave an irritated hiss and chirped for Rhia and her flitt. If his bonded was just going to splash him and not feed him, he could find others to entertain him. "Sorry Azure", G'han said with a chuckle.

Akki shrugged at G'han and said with a laugh, "Maybe I do, maybe I don't. I'll never tell you. You'd have to force it out of me!". With that said, she slipped under the water, devising a plan to get the kid who splashed her back. But how? That was the big question. She swam to the service, looking at the dragons that were blurring together in colour as they dived at each other.
Haven't you caught him yet? You slow thing, you She said, teasing her large blue as he pulled in front of Hydrath, rearing in front of the other blue. The blue sent no reply, except a huff of indignity. She grinned to herself and then said, "Can somebody help me think of a plan? I'm no good at thinking them up. Or just thinking actually.".

G'han coughed and stated rather loudly, "Gylfie!". That darn flitt of his had called his weyrmate's flitt on him. G'han darted underwater away from the two firelizards and when he popped up away from everyone. He saw some trees nearby and decided to hide behind them for awhile. Perhaps the flitts would go away and while he was out of water no one could dunk him, no one should have seen him either, hopefully. He had been careful enough not to be noticed.
Nice try Ebbeth but still not good enough. , Hydrath stated as he darted around the other blue and sped up, leaving the others behind.
Gerenanth once ahead pushed ahead of Ebbeth and went chasing after Hydrath.

Wolf turned around, spotting the boy she had met not too long ago, Roxis. "Hey!" she called as a greeting, a grin plastered up on her face. She looked somewhat disappointed as her gaze ran to Jakel, she knew the boy hadn't meant to laugh at her little... 'incident.' She wasn't too sure what to say to him, keeping quiet as she looked between Jakel and Roxis.
Roxis laughed, giving a courageous smirk before whispering to Pilan, "I'm sure I can handle her just fine." Of course when the boy actually took his time to thoroughly observe the girl he wasn't all to sure that he was fully-prepared to take her on. "I mean... what threat could she actually pose?" he added, feeling a knot in his stomach being created as the words slipped from his mouth. Somehow, though he wasn't sure why, he just knew he'd be eating those words later. As Wolf's voice came into his head it startled him, he not having expected her to have any dealings with him at all. "Hey," he managed, choking back any further words he might have thought of saying.

Lira leisurely made her way towards the lake. Her ever curious and nosy green had caught sight of all the splashing and cavorting dragons and demanded to go down and investigate. The green landed near the lake long before Lira made her way down slowly. It was partly due to the fact that Silken was taken her time getting down the path and Lira didn't want to leave Silken to her own devices.
The faithful feline had, so far, caused no problems, mainly because Lira had kept her locked up in the weyr. But in the end she had taken pity on the adorable kitty. At least it was adorable to her. She smiled, remembering the times when it had been small enough to hold comfortably. It was high time that the feline get out and know the rest of the weyr...on top of that Lira doubted her clothes and furniture could take more of the treatment Silken subjected it to.
Lira's eyebrow arched at the scene. There were dragons flying around and humans splashing and much going on. It seemed that Avith was right, there was a little party going on. Lira would have been miffed if she was like Avith but she didn't mind that it'd started without her. She doubted she get into it much anyway. She needed to watch Silken and Silken probably wasn't one for water. ~Quit hiding behind responsibility~
Lira didn't bother to respond to Avith this time but settled at a tree that was, hopefully, far enough away to not get splashed. Though if the dragons were splashing she had no chance of staying dry. She let the feline climb into her lap and took out a brush and started grooming Silken who purred appreciatively and proceeded to languish on her lap thoroughly enjoying it.

Christae glanced out again, amusement glinting in her eyes. She looked for her next victim and prepared to duck underwater again. She chose to duck Akki next. Her deed done, she swam back to the rocks, again, eluding detection. She knew she would be caught soon but for now she was safe.

Akki looked over at the newcomer before she felt hands grab at her, pulling her underneath the surface. She struggled to the surface and yelled, "SHARDS. Who was that?". She looked arouned, but no, it couldn't be them. It had to be someone else. But who? The same person who dunked G'han probably. But who was that?
She treaded water, gasping to get air in her lungs again. She probably just swallowed half the lake right then and there. And it wasn't very tasty. Or clean for that matter. She glanced over at the person again, but didn't know who it was. Ebbeth, who is that?.
The blue dragon stopped his chase, curiosity overwhelming him. And flew into the lake, skimming it for a second, wings scraping the top before dipping under with a few ripples. I have never seen the dragon or rider, I am assuming, before. Greet them perhaps? Akki nodded to herself before sticking her arm out of the water, and waving like a crazy person.
Sure Akki. That's one way to make someone think you're the perfect example of insanity.

Roxis watched as Akki got pulled under, though the culprit was no where in site. The boy swam over to Akki, looking concerned by the fact that the Blue rider began waving at nothing. Perhaps the swallowed water had gone to a vital section of her brain... Admin's Note:[/hr] "Hey, Akki, who are you waving to?" he asked, the most skeptical look up on his face as he treaded water next to her.

Christae had barely reached the rocks in time to gasp in some air. She knew that if they moved any further away, her little game would be up. She saw Roxis swim over to Akki and took the chance to dart back and dunk him under water as well. She knew that the other riders would be completely confused now. She hastily took a deep breath, hopeing that no one would see her in the splash Roxis had made and then darted back underwater to her hiding place.

"Them, him, her." Akki replied, pointing to the figure before saying, "The one who I'm guessing came down with the green.". She watched for a moment, still not recognizing them. Obviously she had never met the person before, nor had Ebbeth. "I want to meet them I think." She said with a grin.
She turned to Roxis, planning to dunk him under water since she had sworn revenge. But someone beat him to it, because when she turned she watched him dissapear under the waters surface. I saw something move around under the water. You didn't hear it from me though Ebbeth said, bubbles rising to the surface, showing where he was under water.

G'han watched the others for a moment and saw someone dart over to the rocks. "Who was that?", he thought to himself. This person obviously wanted to hide. Perhaps it was the one that got him. He snuck over to try and get a closer look, but he could only go so far without being spotted himself. His curiousity was peeked. He was standing now at the tree closest to the rocks, though still a bit far off. He decided to climb the tree and get a better view. This person would have to reveal theirselves eventually and he would spot them. Atleast he alluded those flitts for the time being and the others. He sat on one of the higher branches and looked out over the lake. Eyes peeled for whoever the prankster was.
I suppose you give up Ebbeth? It's understandable. Wouldn't want you to overdo it old timer. Go take your nap and maybe next time when I'm sick or have an injury you might be able to catch me. Gerenanth and Reinth I suppose it's just you two now. But Gerenanth you might want to step down as well, I mean you aren't that much younger than Ebbeth. You may just be too old for this as Ebbeth has found out.
Don't try to goad me you oversized, loud mouthed firelizard. On your heels are a bronze and a gold, we both easily outsize and out power you. Your speed will fail you and you will regret your taunts. Gerenanth then pushed faster and bit at Hydrath's tail to try and stop him. The blue obviously wasn't at full speed if Gerenanth was that close but Gerenanth wanted him to use his full speed, it was obvious why.

You're pathetic if you think I am tired Hydrath. Have you not realized that you will tire soon, and your pace will slow down. I am not tired at all, nor will I be when you slow. I'm still in this dear Hydrath, and you will still lose. Ebbeth said, rising to the surface before just staying there, watching the dragons dart back and forth, trying to catch each other.
It has nothing to do with the fact, a dragon and a rider just appeared does it? Especially when you don't know them. Akki teased, staring at her blue who swam close to her. He lowered his head, his whirling blue eye staring at her as he sniffed, Never

Before Akki had a chance to reply to him he felt himself being pulled under the water. He held his breath just in time, coming back up coughing as some water had made its way down his air passage. He took a deep breath, letting it out calmly as he looked around. "Who was that?" he asked to no one in particular. He didn't like having tricks played on him, especially by people he didn't know. He heaved a sigh, looking to Akki questioningly. If Akki hadn't of been standing before him he would've had no doubt that it was her.
He wasn't too sure if it was the right move to make but before he knew it the Candidate had tackled Akki playfully. Releasing her he realized that maybe his action hadn't been well-thought out.

((OK as to someone seeing her dart over to the rock it couldn't have happened because she was UNDER the water and the water is deep enough that she wouldn't have been seen, i'll allow the dragon to see her only because he is under water, he could have climbed the tree to see what was up but he wouldn't have known she was near the rocks much less have seen her dart to the rocks))

She heard Ebbeth's laugh echo in her head as she went under the water, everything silent except for that. She closer her eyes, and mouth before kicking towards the surface. Or at least what she thought was the surface. She ran into someone's legs, and then realized she had better open her eyes if she didn't want to run into something else. Finally she breached the surface.
"I hate you now." She said with a pout before jumping, or what seemed like a jump after all you can't really jump in water, on to Roxis, hoping to knock him under.

What had he been thinking? How stupid was he? Here he was, all concerned about her safety yet he made the move he did? Her words stung him hard, he went to swim off childishly but before he knew it he had gone under the water himself. He quickly resurfaced, having felt more water rush down his throat. He coughed, spitting some of the water up as he turned to look at Akki. "I'm sorry," he said, one eye closed, slowly opening after it stopped stinging from the water rushing into his eyes. "I shouldn't have done that," he added seriously. Roxis searched both her eyes and her expression for some-sort of possible sarcasm or better yet, happiness. Anything but anger or disappointment-her disappointment in him that is-was fine.

Lira, between stroking the purring feline with the brush, was watching all the antics of the dragons and riders. She sported an uncertain smile when someone wildly waved at her. She raised up her hand and waved back a little not even sure who this person was. The feline impatiently batted at her hand, demanding that Lira get back to her job. Lira chuckled and resumed grooming Silken.
Avith snorted impatiently *Are you going to sit there all day? Everyone is out there.* Lira rolled her eyes ~If you want to join in, don't let me stop you~ The green huffed and moved closer to the waters edge but didn't dive in yet. Her eyes whirled a little faster as she watched the dragons playing. She watched their movements before jumping in. It wouldn't do for her to land on someone else's back and ruin her chance at good gossiping partners.

"I'm in a lake, you're supposed to dunk me." She said, teasing Roxis with a poke. "What's your name anyways? It's better to know someone's name before you dunk them. I think?" She said, her heads cocking to the side as she thought about that one. "Either way, don't be sorry. I'm here to be dunked. It's my purpose." She said with a grin before floating on the surface of the water, looking at her dragon.

He hadn't introduced himself! He wanted to bang his head against some foreign object yet there wasn't a single one in sight. "I'm Roxis." Her teasing made him smirk; he was glad to see she had taken his 'fun' well. He already knew her name, he had heard his younger sister talking to her a number of times. "And your Akki," he told her.
He watched as the girl floated delicately through the water. For some reason everything she did seemed to be delicate to him, even the times when she would seem, (to other people), anything but. "I'm Wolf's-" he cut off abruptly. He felt some saliva catch in his throat as he froze. He hadn't planned on telling anyone, even Wolf! Hopefully Akki wouldn't inquire as to what the rest his sentence was supposed to have been. Out of any one gathered here he felt that Akki was the most likely candidate out of them all when it came to having some one for him to share things with.
