"Yes I guess that slipped my mind thank you for bringing that to my attention Br'tan and I think what you said has a good point. I think each weyr should have two one one sevenday and one the next sevenday", R'kim said. He then looked over at Hathae, "Yes I wouldn't want any of my riders to lower theirselves to your standard of thought. Sticking their nose in the air and acting like they are better than one another is not a trait I would want in my riders as it is a trait you shouldn't have in yourself. Because this will simply cloud your thoughts and judgement and that could threaten your weyr. Not only that if you refuse this then you will be left out of the loop and drag the rest of us down because we have to look after you during threadfall because you may have no idea how our weyrs decide to fight". With that he sat back down with a smirk on his face, his weyrmate sharing the same smirk.

D'nyr glared omminiscently at the Weyrleader. "Can't you hear, Man. I said we like the idea!" Hathea rolled her eyes. Way to get worked up over nothing.Mine, just tell your thoughts to me, don't say them aloud.I have it covered! ...Sorry. A bit edgy.

S'kel and his weyrmate disliked the idea instantly. "Do you honestly think that I will allow other riders to come in and critisize our weyr? I disagree."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christae spoke up. "I do not think you understand what we are trying to do with this. This program is NOT intended to review other weyrs. This is supposed to be a chance to learn. The transfer riders will only be going to learn about Threadfighting techniques and perhaps techniques to help with the running of a wyer. This has nothing whatsoever to do with how the wyer administration is."
"Besides." L'mis spoke up once again. "ONe point of sending more then one rider is to get rid of the critisism. We are trying to help our Weyrs not destroy them or pit them against one another." He tried to explain but his patience was wearing thin with some of these riders. Did they not want to do what was best for their Weyrs?
Even knowing that this is what always happened at meetings N'yrd could feel his patience thinning again. He was a simple man at heart. Find a solution to a problem and fix it now. Usually everyone saw the same problem and same solution ~Or at the very least they didn't want to argue with their weyrleader~ N'yrd chuckled at his Echath's input and shrugged, he had a good point. He would stretch his legs under the table and look over at his weyr mate who had her hand holding up her chin and elbow on the table and was looking from speaker to speaker. Both were of a generally quite nature and didn't speak much if it was unnecessary.
Not wanting to add his voice to the argument/debate that was about the bringing of different riders to weyrs he continue to sit and thought about pros and cons of such a move. Of course the obvious pro was that everyone knew what was happening with the other weyr but that was a con as well for anything bad happening there could then be spread around and told to all other weyrs and dishonor and disgrace comes to that weyr. N'yrd sighed knowing that might be the reason some were protesting so vehemently. He felt rather than heard his dragon snort reminding him he was with the esteemed weyrleaders. These people were not picked off the street but instead picked by dragons he shouldn't be thinking of them so. He continued to berate himself silently for thinking such a thing then started listening to the conversation again after picking up the hints his mate was sending him that he needed to listen. ~~~~ Reka shook her head, at N'yrd as he finally paid attention to the debate again, with a small smile on her face. She had thought to say something several times but had decided against it figuring that if the conversation started to turn in the direction she really didn't want it to she could always talk then. Reka gave an almost unconscious check on where Asyth was and what she was doing before wondering what else was on the agenda. Asyth was enjoying the sun right now and staying warm and content. She smiled and sighed wishing she could be flying as all dragonriders felt now and again. Obviously something else more had to be on the agenda than weyr games and thread. While both important in their own way she was thinking that maybe something else was in the air. She decided that maybe if this issue wasn't finished in a few more minutes she could divert the arguing by asking the next issue on the agenda. So having made that decision she put her whole attention to hearing what the current thought was in the room about riders visiting werys.
Christae frowned and stood. "All the riders will be doing is watching Threadfighting training. They will learn from the Dragon Healers to share the knowledge between Weyrs so that we are all better prepared. Remember, we are putting our own reputations on the line as well. I think that if we are willing to do that then you shouild be less argumentive."
Christae's face paled and she dropped back to her seat. She didn't know what was wrong with her but she kept having hard pains in her abdomen that were getting stronger.
((Hee heee...just to remind you that shes in labor))
Christae rose again after the spasm had passed. "I do believe that we do not want to extend this meeting any longer than we have to. We have already discussed the rider transfer program and we have agreed upon aiding another weyr in Threadfall and have settled with a schedule. ((Trying to finish this)). We have one last order of business to attend to."
"Masterhealer Nike, Weyrling Kia, would you be so kind as to attend us here?" Christae spoke formally, not wanting to take away from the importance of the occasion by using famaliarity. She wanted the other Weyrleaders to be impressed by the new colors that had come from Kaith's clutch.
Nike looked at Kia when their names were called. Normally Nike wouldn't mind walking into a meeting, but this one had all the Weyrleaders of Pern. And even though she was friends with Sh'iron and Christae, and she knew the Benden 'leaders better than the rest, she was still nervous. Standing up, and looked down at Ruanth. Are you ready? Yes, are you? Nike looked at the Weyrleaders who could not see her. She nodded, placed a hand on her little dragon's head and startde walking into the room.
---------------
Sh'iron looked worriedly at Christae. He leaned over to her and whispered, "Are you sure that you are okay?" At this moment when he heard Nike and Ruanth shuffle into the room, he scanned the other 'leaders' faces for their own reaction.
---------------------
Falnor looked to where the two Dark Moon Weyrleaders were looking. She could not see to well, so she stood up. A gasp came out of her mouth at the sift of the tiny dragon. A white dragon! A hand went to her mouth, then fell when she saw the rider. Of course she had heard the name, but thought nothing of it. It was Nike. That messenger girl who persuaded her to let Sh'iron, F'tan, and T'ran to come to Dark Moon. But didn't she have a green? Oh, she must of lost her, and re-Impressed. But, that was so rare. In all her Turns as a Weyrwoman, she had only seen one person re-Impress.
Kadire and R'kim stood in amazement as they saw the white dragon and her rider enter. "Well what do you know, a white dragon", R'kim said with an amused smile. He and his weyrmate sat back down and waited to see what other suprises this weyr had.
L'mis was shocked at what came out. Not just a dragon but a white dragon. "Is that little thing a white dragon?!" He asked in amazement wondering if he trult was turning old and his eyes were meerly playing tricks on him.
******************
Miya scooted back in her chair. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and pouted. This wouldn't be any fun anymore. Now Nike and Kia were just going to get all the attention. And the white and crimson were too.
Her brown eyes turned back towards Reinath who was in the corner still sulking. ~Come here you silly dragon.~ Miya instructed.
Why7 should I? Reinath snorted, obviously still angry.
~Because Nike and Ruanth and Kia and Kylath are coming out and if were are seperated and they are together they will look better then us.~ Miya ecplained, not knowing how else to get the gold to come back to her.
Reinath ponded the thought for but a moment before standing up and walking back towards her mine. She lay down, her head next to Miya's feet.
S'kel and Tela looked at the two strangely colored dragons with a dumbfounded expression on their faces. "You jest! What did you use to color these unfortunate dragonets' hides. You should be ashamed of yourselves. This is a horrid joke. We will not stand for this."
Tela was shaking, her face pale. "You people are despicable." She turned and stormed out of the meeting room. S'kel followed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christae tried to give Sh'iron a reassuring smile when he asked after her health. "It is nothin..." She broke off and bit her lip. She closed her eyes, trying to breathe in deeply and avoid crying out. She abruptly turned away from her weyrmate. "I am fine." She said curtly.
She turned to look at Nike and Kia and gave them a nodd to encourage them to come forward with their heads held high. "I would like to present MasterHealer Nike, rider of white Ruanth, the first ever female white dragon. I would also like to present Weyrling Kia, rider of copper Kylath, the first ever copper dragon. Their dragons are healthy in every way and as far as we can tell, normal, but for their colors."
When S'kel and Tela burst out with their furious tirade Christae pressed a hand to her brow. She called to Kaith and the golden dragon flew down to block the exit.
You will be courteous to my rider and the chosen of my mate! Return immediatly and listen to what has to be said. The gold's eyes were whirling with anger.

S'kel and Tela were furious. Their dragons reared up on the heights bellowing with outrage.
PEACE! The Queen of Dark Moon roared. We do not insult you or dragonkind. Our riders are dragonmen as well. Ruanth and Kylath, my children, were hatched this way. They are healthy, happy dragonets who are almost ready to graduate. Do not insult us by leaving.
Reluctantly, S'kel and Tela returned to the meeting room. They were plainly sulking while the other riders examined the two mutant dragons.

Nike looked over to the two Weyrleaders who ran out. She took a deep breath, and walked over to them. "If you think that I would change the coor of my dragon just to become famous, well you are wong. If you notice, Ruanth is too small to be a green or a gold dragon. Even if she was a green, and he color was changed, some traces of the green would show through. I would know, since I am a Healer, both human and dragon. I would also know because before I Impressed Ruanth, I once had a green dragon named Tirith. She went /between/ in her second Turn of life. I would never do anything to harm, or endanger my dragon. And I think that you are very ignorant for thinking such thoughts." After her speech was made, she turned briskly around and walked back to her dragon.
-------------------------
Sh'iron smiled at Nike. "Well said," He said and patted her on the back. He, like the other Weyrleader had gotten up to look over the two mutated dragons.
--------------------
Falnor smiled as she stood up after she looked over the little white, and the larger copper. Turning to the mate, she swallowed. "If this little Weyr could tell everyone else that they had mutated colors, we can too," The Benden Weyrwoman smiled and cleared her throught to get everyone's attention.
"As you know, my Queen had clutched and had a hatching a few Sevendays after Kaith's hatching. Benden Weyr was disappointed that there was no gold egg. But we thought that it was because of Yath's age. The clutch was large, and there was one egg that Yath was very protected of. Much like a Queen with her gold egg. This egg had a different color. It was more of a silver color. We were puzzled. There were also many other odd colored eggs.
"When the hatching came, the oddest thing came. We had two different colored dragons. One, which we had three of, two were male, one was female. These dragons were around the same size of blues. Their colors was of a dark black-blue. There were alos white dots all over. We named them the Midnight Sky. Or just Midnight. The female Impressed to a female, and the males to males. That was just the first shock.
"When the silver egg that Yath was so protective over was ready to hatch, we had no idea what to think. When she hatched, we couldn't believe our eyes. She was only slightly smaller than a queen, and only slightly bigger than a bronze. right in the middle. She was slimmer than a queen, and much more beautiful. She was a silver. A silver queen. She Impressed to a female, and the silver, whose name is Kalnath, along with the three Night Sky dragons, are just as healthy of those of their clutch, and are just as strong.
"I, along witht he rest of Benden Weyr, are very sorry for not telling the rest of Pern. Since we now know that there are other mutated dragons, we hope to get all six dragons together one time. Yet again, we are sorry," The Weyrwoman said with a smile, then she turned to her mate.

Kia took a deep breath as Nike began to walk out. Her dragon was admired and discouraged. It seemed to happen in slow motion, a pan over the room of what she could see. She turned to Kylath who nodded reassuringly. Once Nike had a chance to be seen for a few second, Kia stood and Kylath stood beside her. She stepped out with Kylath close by her side. Two of the Weyrleaders were mssing, she had seen them storm out. Kia stood at the apprehensive eyes. Clearly some knew that the Weyrwoman had said two names and that another surprise awaited. As she stood still with a proud Kylath, the two Weyrleaders returned. Their faces were aggravated.
Kylath clearly enjoyed the popularity. An arrogant dragon sometimes, clearly. Kia was half through rolling her eyes when she realized how childish that would look before the leaders of the weyrs of Pern. She swallowed hard and looked straight into the flood of eyes.
--
Hathea was not like S'kel and his weyrwoman this time. She was not happy but she did not deny them. Well, at least not at first. At their outburst she quickly accepted the idea. Anything to think this was not real. If any Weyr should be honored with a unique dragon surely a more experienced dragon. Not a first time Gold. She merely glared at the two weyrlings, though.
Her Weyrmate was not much less that in shock. He stared, his face blank. Hathea shoved him in the arm if only to keep the honor of her Weyr, as little as she cared for him.
--
The Benden Weyrleader stood with his Weyrmate and allowed her to speak. Once she sat he began. "Falnor has said most. All I want to stress is that the dragons have done very well, all keeping up with the other dragons in lessons." (Can the Silver chew Firestone?)

Reinath snorted unhappily. Why can't the weyrleaders get it through their thick skulls that they are simply off colors. There isn't anything special about them except there hides and that doesn't affect the dragon or their abilities. They are no better then I. Reinath stood up angrily.
~True.~ Miya agreed. ~But what can we do to stop these pathetic excuses for weyrleaders from gawking like foold?~ The goldrider replied, her eyes narrowed in anger and disgust.
