Lezay nodded silently. Being close to the end of a term, she knew that pains did occur ever so often.
"Has Telgar sent word that they are late? We could send word by firelizard if need be, someone here must have one?"
You are going to be here for a while. Atiaisth chuckled in her rider's mind.

Christae smiled as she called for her little bronze flitt. Birinj popped from /between/ and came to land on his bonded's arm. "That is an excellent idea Weyrwoman Lezay. I will send Birinj out with a message."
Christae signaled for a drudge to bring her ink and a pen and speedily wrote a message. She attached the message and had Kaith send the little flitt to where he needed to go. "Now all we have to do is wait for a reply."

Kalie and Tonu popped into the room when Birinj was called. THe circled the room three of four times before Miya's nagging sent them out. SHe slumped back into her chair with a sigh.

T'sor chuckled as more than one firelizard came into the room. Lezay smiled at Christae's compliment.
I told you they are useful. Be quiet! Very few clutches are found in our parts, and the other riders need them more.
"Hopefully something drastic hasn't happened at their Weyr. Most likely they would have sent word then, so I'm sure they have a reason."

Hathea was stunned. "She said it too," the Weyrwoman muttered below her breath, sure nobody heard. She patted down her skirt and hastily walked to a drudge. "Get me some wine," she said with her hand on her forehead. The drudge quickly obliged.
The woman hastily returned with a full glass of wine. She handed it to the weyrwoman. Hathea greedily took a lare gulp and then sat. Her head was whirling. Perhaps it was not such a great idea to eat so much just before she came. Her stomach churned and she bent over. She took a deep swallow and sat up but she still was a bit unsure.

~This is boring.~ [shadow=red,left,300]I agree.[/shadow]Just as Kia decided if they should ask if they go in Nike and Ruanth darted off. "Wait," she said but not too loudly. Kylath quickly leaped behind, falling into a steady pace. "Are we going to," Kia remembered all the places they might go, "Eavesdrop?"

The bronze flitt would soon return as the two leaders of Telgar arrived at that moment. N'ryd of Echath would hop off and move quickly towards the meeting place already aware of how late the two had been. It had been a frustrating and busy day for the weyr and had prevented the two from coming sooner. Reka of Asyth dismounted more slowly. They both looked a little dusty and only Reka had on Gather clothes for the occasion. N'ryd had on working clothes along with his riding gear as he had been interrupted before he had been able to get ready for the meeting. They both would arrive at the meeting room and have an apologetic expression. (( Sorry about the post, wasn't too sure how to make it so it will be a little vague and short for now ))

Miya looked up as the last two weyrleaders entered the room.
Finally! I am amazed that we are all still alive. Reinath said grouchily, still angry about the other two weyrwomen.
Miya too snorted. ~This is taking way too long. We need to start before I decided to take a nap.~
Both of them looked at the two with hard unwanting eyes.

T'sor glanced up and smirked as the Telgar Weyrleaders finally entered. At least now they could get down to business. He wasn't even sure just how many topics were going to be covered. Obviously there was the threat of possible Thread...and the fact that Dark Moon was so small.
"If it makes you feel better. myself and Lezay arrived not long ago. Weyr business comes first at this point, so I'm sure everyone will forget that you're late." He shot a look to the other Weyrleaders.
"Let's just start without arguing." Good luck with that one. Shh. I know, but one must try.

Christae looked up and smiled with relief. She moved forward to welcome the Telgar Weyrleaders. Welcome to Dark Moon. Kaith greeted the visiting gold and bronze warmly, if formally.
"Welcome to Dark Moon Weyr." Birinj popped back from /between/ chittering about the fact that the big people he was sent to find were not there and the big bronze and big big gold had vanished. The little flitt spotted the Telgar pair and chirped. He flew over and hovered, extending his leg for one of the pair to take the message scroll off of his leg. His translucent bronze wings flapped lazily to keep him aloft though his eyes were whirling with excitement.
Christae laughed. "He takes his duties very seriously. If he does not deliver a letter he will be in a bad mood for a while until he forgets it. As I was saying, Welcome to Dark Moon Weyr. I am Christae of golden Kaith. We hope that your stay here is pleasant." She motioned drudges forward to offer the pair refreshements.
"Now that everyone is here, we can begin our meeting. We have chairs set up in the adjoining cavern." Christae led the way to the large Dining Hall that was used for special occasions. Most of the time, the riders used the first cave in the Lower Caverns. The cavern the pregnant goldrider led the other Weyrleaders into was reserved for feasts and meetings such as this one.

Kadire and R'kim followed Christae. They were glad everyone was here and they could finally get the meeting started, not that the conversations before weren't interesting they just wanted to get down to business.

T'sor and Lezay followed Dark Moon's Weyrwoman out and into the next room, both Weyrleaders talking quietly to each other.
"Do you think we missed anything important since we were late?" Lezay asked curiously as her hazel eyes met the gray ones of her Weyrmate. "Not sure. We'll have to see what the mood is when the meeting actually starts. It will be easy to tell who is already annoyed with one another."
Lezay nodded as they entered the room and took their seats.

L'mis nodded curtly as the others entered. Upon instructions the weyrleader walked into the next room and took his seat.
((Sorry I forgot about him.))
--------------------------------------
Miya followed Christae into the next room and took a seat. She mumbled under her breath about how it was taking forever just to begin and other complaints that she had.
Reinath followed Miya and sat formally at Miya's feet.About time. The queen snapped.

Sh'iron smiled and took his place with Christae leading the group into the hall. He took his place next to Christae at the head of the table. He looked around and smiled.
Each Weyrleader had a section for their own. There was klah, water, and wine there for them. Also paper, and ink. The chairs were decorted with their Weyr's colors, and the table cloth for each of them was also in their Weyr's colors.
"Let's get this meeting started." Sh'iron said with a grin.
---------------
Falnor smiled as the Telgars entered. Then she and her mate walked into the caveren. She was impressed. She such a small Weyr they had some nice things. The Weyrwoman took her place on Sh'iron's left(Christae was on his right) with her mate on her own left. Yes, this meeting needed to get started.
-------------------
Nike smiled as she crouched down low in the Caveren, watching the Weyrleaders. "No, we are waiting for our que to come in." She said grinning and gave the copper rider a wink. "I think you should enter first. Copper is a new color. White, well everyone know's about Ruth. You should get the fame." She said turning to Kia.

Reka gave T'sor a grateful look for his words and smiled then looked around at everyone assembled and nodded to each in turn. Echath and Asyth would nod and respond in kind to Kaith's greeting before moving off to ideal spots to sun. N'ryd smiled and humored the bronze flitt by taking the message and making sure to read it before thanking the flitt for delivering it. They nodded at Christae's words and N'ryd spoke, "I am N'ryd of Echath and this is my weyrmate Reka of Asyth we thank you for the hospitality." They would both follow Christae to the Dining Hall and took their seats with the rest of the weyrleaders.

Br'tan smiled warmly, being silent for the restof the waiting period. He walked quickly up to the arriving Weyrleaders and said a loud hello. After exchanging greeting he walked with his weyrmate into the other room and sat on Falnor's left. He looked around at all who were there. What a nice croud- well, most. ((Totally forgot about him, sorry.))
--
Hathea walked in a huff to the other room, D'nyr falling in step beside her. The two sat at the far end beside each other. Both still had wine in their hands. Hathea looked around at all that had arrived. Took the Telgar Weyrleaders long enough.
--
Kia grinned and kneeled over, Kylath beside her. "I'd rather not- could you please go first. Actually, I think they want us to go in together or something but if not I think you should go first- I am not the best with a large croud that I had never met. Akki was very friendly so it wasn't too long for me to warm up to her and then everyone," she said this all in a hushed voice.

Nike smiled at Kia. "Yeah, well I don't wanna go first. But on the other hand, if Ruanth and I go first then the group will talk about you two longer than us two. So, I will go first." She said to the girl. Ruanth, Zim and Crystal held their heads high.

Christae sat gratefully, glad that she didn't have to keep standing on her swollen ankles. She beamed with pride at the way the meeting cavern looked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
S'kel and Tela made their way into the cavern with everybody else. In spite of themselves, they were impressed by the gesture of welcome the small Weyr had made.
Sh'iron smiled as everyone got settled then stood up. "Alright. Let's get to it everyone. First on the list is the upcoming Threadfall." The young Weyrleader said, his smile fading away. "As, you all should know, Threadfall was supposed to come back in around sixty or seventy Turns. But The Red Star has been getting closer and closer to the Eye Rock. And that can mean only one thing."
He paused for a quick moment. "Dark Moon has been training our Wings and Weyrlings in our own Weyr Games. We have also been getting a supply of Firestone and other things that will be needed during the Pass. The vegetation around the Weyr and the Holds has been cleared and is being kept away.
"As before when the Weyrs were going into a Pass, they had riders from other Weyrs go and check up on the vegetation and preparations for Fall. We need to decied on which Weyr will do it, and what riders." At this, Sh'iron waited for the other Weyrleaders to stand up and speak of their own preperations for the Fall.
--------------------
Falnor listened carefully. Yes, the Red Star was coming back around. She had never dreamed of leading Benden in a Pass. Mabey she wouldn't do so. She and Br'tan were the oldest pair. They had led he Weyr strong and true. Plus that young Junior Weyrwoman, twenty-five she was, was almost ready to take over. Yes, and all the bronze riders there were strong enough to lead. But not until after the Pass would start.
Once Sh'iron was finised and had sat down, she turned to Fort 'leader to speak. It always went in order of Hosting Weyr, Fort, or if Fort was hosting, then Benden would go. Always in order of the Weyr's founding date.
------------------------------
Nike swallowed hard as Sh'iron stood up. He did say that she and Kia were to enter, but when? How long would this take? Even though Nike had waited for a meeting to finish up at High Reaches, she still didn't know how long a meeting like this could take! It will take as long as it takes. Ruanth said curling up with her small head on Nike's lap.
Kia swallowed hard. This plan had back-fired but she would get over it. This way she could see if Nike did anything special. Kylath layed down and watched carefully. All the Weyrleaders were about to speak.
--
Br'tan shifted uncomfortably in his seat. he wasn't exactly sure what to say right now. Hopefully- just hopefull falnor would help.
--
Hathea looked beside her- eyeing D'nyr. She elbowed him so he would not act like a stick in the mud.
Lezay nudged T'sor in the shoulder when Sh'iron officially started the meeting. The Igen Weyrleader smirked slightly to his Weyrwoman before devoting all of his attention to Dark Moon's Weyrleader.
As they waited for the next Weyr to speak, he started to think about the preparations that his own Weyr had been making. They were well enough off.
