T'rin listened carefully, acknowledging that it all made sense. He'd heard about the no sex rule, and as he didn't have the urge to break it it wasn't a problem with him; however, he knew others might make faces because... well, it was a no sex rule. He couldn't help but grin.

Kia shifted from one foot to the other. Rules, something she could have a hard time following. If they were rules like, let's say, the no sex rule she was straight to following it. The thought alone made her sick. She heard that it could damage your little dragon too and she did not dare harm her little Kylath. Though, if the dragonet continued to call her crazy a pair of Copper boots would truly make her unique.

B’kin glanced over at Miya when Christae mentioned the bronzes flying the queens. He didn’t want Ronoth to fly Miya’s queen he shook his head to try to get rid of the thought. The weyrling returned his attention to the Weyrwoman just in time to hear about the no sex rule. B'kin didn’t want the chance of having a kid yet, he was just 15 turns old, and he still considered himself a kid. Besides… like Christae said, taking care of a growing dragon was hard enough and he didn't want to compromise Ronoth's health.

Nike sighed and nodded to Christae's words. The Healer knew that she would only be able to do the first half or more of the Lessons. The things that she would be able to do. Not Ruanth and her. THe white would take forever to grown enough for her rider to rider her. But Nike could wait. Ruanth looked lovingly up at her rider. When I do fly, I wil be the fastest dragon of all time. Faster than even Ruth. I promise you that. Nike smiled and strached her dragon's eye ridges. I know you will, love. I trust you, and believe in you. THe Healer relpied. She looked up as Christae started her speech. Yeah, these rules were normal for her. The no sex thing she could handle with, same with everything else. Until Ruanth would be mature enough to fly she would work on her Healing duties. That was the main reason she was here as a Master Healer.
But during that time Nike began to wonder. What if Ruanth took so long to mature that all the dragons could fly and their riders became real riders? Would she stay as a Healer until then, being trained specialy and away from the others? Would she be allowed to fly her dragon? Would Sh'iron, Christae, and P'ren let her? Mabey they would think that Ruanth was too small to fly. But Ruth was around 20 feet, and the first dragons were like 12 to 15 feet long. Nike's eyes were distant as she thought. Ruanth knew, but didn't comment. It would be best if her rider thought it out.

K'dan looked at Nike. She seemed distant and didn't seem to notice he was talking to her. "Are you alright Nike", he asked worriedly.

Nike came back to her outer self to her K'dan speaking. "Oh, I'm fine." She said with a fake, slight smile. Ruanth looked up at her rider then at K'dan. She is worring about the future. She will be fine. Don't worry about her. She told the blue rider, then looked back at Christae like she had never spoken to K'dan.

K'dan looked a bit puzzled at the white dragon. "As long as you say you're ok I will believe you. If you need to talk or anything though, I am here for you", K'dan said to her.

Miya turned when T'rin's voice entered her ears. "Hello." she replied plainly, pausing before continuing. "There hasn't been much to do, so when I am not caring for Reinath I have been exploring the weyr." The goldrider explained. "What about you?" she asked, though her voice didn't hold a hint of curiosity. Miya turned to listen to Christae but kept her ears open for T'rin's reply...if it came. Miya glared angrily as Christae mentioned the equalness of the dragon ranks. I am too a higher rank then the puny white. Reinath stated with unhappines. ~Hush, even if you arn't considered higher ranking know you will be when we are graduated. Both of us will be of high ranking.~ Miya rpelied strictly. ~The weyrwoman is making you seem weaker then the other dragons. I cannot stand this.~ Miya grumbled. Reinath also growled lightly an quietly in her throught but it was so quiet only Miya, and possibly someone standing next to the rider could actually here it.

"Oh, you must know the Weyr better than me, surely," replied T'rin politely. "I've been spending time with Micra and Amparath, mostly. It's a little lonely here right now but it could be worse." Micra was napping on his shoulder and flicked the end of her fern-green tail idly when she heard her name.
He stroked it just as idly, not really thinking about it, but then he heard Reinath growl. He supposed it had to do with Christae's bit about rank, but he couldn't understand why it would bother the little queen. Christae had made it clear that while no one was better than anyone else, no one was any less important, either. Reinath was still the junior queen of the weyr. She just couldn't use that against the other dragonets, which made perfect sense to T'rin. That could create serious rifts in how the clutch-mates worked together, and the Weyr couldn't afford that. He gave Reinath a sidelong glance and his respect for her decreased a little, in that moment, rather subconsciously. In the place where he realized his feelings, he just brushed it off as her being an imperious little queen dragonet.
It made him wonder. Did Miya feel the same way? He hoped not, and that she could see the sense in Christae's reasoning.

D'ran smiled when K'dan spoke. "As am I," he said to add on to the other Blue Weyrling's words. Aureth grinned to Ruanth. [glow=blue,2,300]Even if I can't learn with you for thw whole time we can still be together outside this, right?[/glow]D'ran patted his dragon's head. He crooned at his Mine's actions.

Christae raised her hand so that the rumble of voices quieted. "I will have Kaith show you some exercises to help your dragonet's become stronger. I expect you to do this every day. Every week you will increase the number of repetitions by five."
Kaith ran through a series of exercises meant to strenghten the wings, legs and other muscles. A few worked on endurance. "You should exercise your dragonets for at least an hour every day. This does not have to be constant exercise but I expect you to have no more than a five to ten minute break during that hour. Within four sevendays I expect you to increase to two hours. You will now repeat the exercises with Kaith. You will do the motions fifteen times."
Christae waited for the Weyrlings and their dragons to get in order and follow Kaith. The large gold looked rather comic doing the exercises but the Weyrlings looked more awkward. "I expect you to come here after your noonday rest every day and do these exercises. Someone will be here to supervise you if I cannot take care of it myself." She waited until all of the exercises had been performed. "That is all for today. You are dismissed."

As Kaith performed the exercises the first time Kylath vaguely mimicked to make sure she remembered. Kia had to bite her lip so she wouldn't laugh at her dragon. Once they were informed to start Kia and Kylath quickly got to work. The first times were very awkward but Kylath seemed to get the hang of it quickly. The two performed the exercises an extra couple times so they could end with everyone else. Kylath seemed very good at this so far.

Hydrath follwed the queen's actions and mimicked the exercise. He looked very awkward and ended up stumbling a few times. "Do not worry Hydrath. You will get the hang of it. Keep going", K'dan said to his dragon.
G'han laughed a bit at the dragons. "Gerenanth why don't you do the exercises with Kaith", he asked laughingly.Gerenanth grumbled at the remark.

((Whoops...haven't been here for a while. I'm very sorry about that. I'll reply with K'rael and Ioneth immediately. I hope that you dont mind that I shall simply say that they were here on time... Life's been too busy to manage my own weyr, much less the other ones I belong to *blushes*))
K'rael and his beloved blue Ioneth hurried into the Weyrling Court. The young man's features were flushed from his haste to reach the aforementioned location, and though he was perspiring, he tried to appear indifferent as he skidded into the courtyard, Ioneth skittering on ungainly claws behind him. As he slowed to a stop, the youth moved to join his peers, and stared at the toes of his boots silently.
It was evident that they had been busy making themselves aquainted with each other -the few who didn't already know each other- in the span of time following the Hatching. While he, K'rael, had immersed himself in caring for his blue, and digging through the Weyr Records in what spare time he had; ferreting out obscure bits of information that he deemed interesting. At the time it had been enjoyable, but now...it seemed such a waste. There seemed to be so much more he could have done.
A faint, rueful sigh escaped him, and K'rael raked back shaggy brown locks, as his green optics flickered about. When the woman whom he recognized as the Weyrwoman began to speak, he gave her his full attention, eyes large. Ioneth snorted, and regarded his clutch-sibs with interest; especially the copper and the right. At the Weyrwoman's comment about the speed of blues, the lithe dragonet preened...and his young Rider's gaze darted over to him briefly, sparkling. Most of the facts were not unknown to him. In his forays into the records of the Weyr, he had come upon most (though not all) of the facts that she presented, but he couldn't say that they surprised him. It seemed, dominantly, like common sense. However, he listened with intent interest, and when she mentioned that there was to be no sex between weyrlings, a wry smile flickered across his features. He would have no trouble keeping that rule, considering that he couldn't even look at females without turning red.
When she moved on to tell them excercises for their dragonets, Ioneth was intrigued, and K'rael listened with even more interest. As Kaith demonstrated, he watched solemnly, and nodded thoughtfully. It seemed a sensible thing to do. The little blue moved his wings in vague gestures, that were somewhat similar to the huge gold's, and his rider restrained from correcting him, a half smile playing about his lips. They ran through the exercises a few more times, and when they were dismissed, K'rael thought about lingering...and promptly left.

Amparath flung his wings around in loose parodies of Kaith's comparatively graceful movements, while T'rin tried not to laugh out loud.
Amparath did the dragon version of a scowl. You just try it, it's not as easy as it looks. The bronze shuffled around so his back was to T'rin, and continued flapping his wings haphahazardly. The bronzerider rolled his eyes and turned, just to see K'rael and Ioneth leaving. He hadn't seen them since they'd Impressed on the Sands, and was disappointed to see the introverted K'rael missing out on an opportunity to make friends. He's too shy to stay, probably, T'rin thought. Too bad.

D'ran nodded, listening intelntly to the Weyrwoman. Aureth mimicked Kaith's move as best he could but he wasn't very good at all. The dragon got to the pojnt of falling over. D'ran supressed a laugh and when they were done waited for Nike and K'dan to come with him.

Nike looked at Christae boredly. She knew the lessons, she had done these before. The white rider was now like the bad girl in school. Like she was held back, and really didn't care. That was what she was now. Totally different than her normal self. Ruanth watched the gold do the movements. The white did them slowly, and not very carefully. After she memorized the movements, she did them with only stumbling once. Nike smiled, not wanting to laugh at her white. She knew that she had the most special dragon on Pern. Not even Kia's copper was close to Ruanth. The white was agile, fast, smart, and always knew where she was. Well, so far.
Nike streached when she was dissmissed. "Good job love. You were the best one there. Not even Kaith came close to your skill." The healer said as she kneeled on one knee. Her hands held the white's small head, and her eyes were filled with love and happiness. Rider and dragon looked into their eyes, not wanted to break away. Nike remembered when Ruanth had hatched. She was, and still is the most beautiful and loveily dragon on Pern.

Reinath did what she was told. At first she did very well, but then she unexpectantly tumbbled forward. Miya started laughing lightly, but stopped before she got to loud. These excersises are pointless. Reinath said with embarressment. ~Too bad.~ Miya replied. ~You have to do it anyways or Christae will send you between.~ Miya smiled as she thought about when she was a candidate and the weyrwoman practically blew up. Too bad for Melanie, the girl was unlucky and she came when the weyrwoman was pregnant, so she couldn't get yelled at. Too bad. Miya shrugged off the thought and boredly watched as Reinath did her best to complete the excersises, but the dragon was growling in frusteration for hald of the time.

D'ran smiled at Nike. "Ruanth certainly did better then ol' Aureth," he said. Aureth sneered and went to Ruanth. [glow=blue,2,300]Good job[/glow]He looked down, thinking he could have done better.

"Of course she did. She is after all the White Dragon of Pern." Nike said, giving D'ran a small real glare, then a mock-glare in a mad, offended tone. The rider was slightly upset that her friend had broken her eye contact with Ruanth. Ruanth stood closely to Nike's leg when her rider stood up. Thank you. You did good too. Second best of the group. Right after the most beautiful dragon of Pern. She said with her head held high, and her eyes whirling proudly.
