“Aw, I wouldn’t worry, everyone knows that you and G’han are weyrmates.” R’dan replied as he too watched the others joke around before glancing at Rhia. What was that grin for, he wondered. He pushed the thought away.
“Huh? Oh! Jesseth’s well, he’s asleep now.” The brownrider paused. “I think that he’s stopped growing.” He wasn’t the largest brown in the weyr but then again he hadn’t turned out to be a R’dan suspected that he would. “And Mneith? How has he been?”

"Mneith has been acting like a worry wort lately. I can barely do anything without him fussing at me to be careful...can't say I blame him though. I think he has finally stopped growing as well." Rhia was careful to keep her attention on R'dan, ignoring her weyrmate, a gleam of wicked amusement in her grey eyes.
"He's bigger than I thought he would be. At least he's healthy though. I can't ask for more. Mneith is on the fireheights at the moment but now that the sun is going down he will probably go to our weyr to sleep as well."

“Well, you were healing from a pretty serious injury. He had reason to be a worry wart.” R’dan said, he sat with his elbows resting on his knees and head resting on his hands which were clasped together. He cast a glance over at Rhia seeing that she was watching him. “You know for one who was just commenting on how their weyrmate was ignoring them, you don’t seem to be giving him your attention.” He said nodding over to where G’han was. “Why do you keep looking at me like that?”

Akki, who for once was trying to contain herself, burst out laughing, and her laugh was heard of everyone elses words and accusations. "O Rhia, I have a name other than bluerider, and we all know G'han likes you the best! He makes it rather obvious!". She rubbed her sides slightly, still chortling softly before saying "Oh Kia, I think we made Kadan embarrassed.". Her eyes were starting to go heavy, but not from drowsiness, it was probably from the excitement she had had today with the others. She leaned back in her chair and closed her eyes saying "I am not asleep but if you hear me snore just throw something at me, then I will deny I was alseep and that I snore".

Rhia winked at R'dan. "Just messing with him a bit." She mouthed so that the bronzerider sitting next to her wouldn't hear or see. Her eyes danced with mirth.
"Well Akki, perhaps we should also give you the nickname of comedian since you seem to enjoy hilarity so much?" She chuckled. "Hmm...does he? I didn't notice." She batted her eyelids at her weyrmate.
"Kadan, I think you might want to watch out. We might have a catfight start soon enough. If you show preference to one the other might be offended." She smirked.

Christae didn't even try to join in. She was too busy laughing. Rhia was obviously flirting to make G'han jealous and they were all having entirely too much fun torturing Kadan and each other. She wondered if the others would join in, although with Akki and Kia being so chatty it was a wonder anyone could get a word in edgewise.

"Nicknames? I like nicknames, as long as it isn't a stupid one like 'Clothing' or something like that. I am sure you didn't notice, Rhia! Oh we all know he prefers....umm...nevermind"She said, chuckling slightly, her eyes still closed. She didn't know who he preferred, but that suited her just fine.

"Oh, Akki," she cried sarcastically, "You were going to say he perferred you." She said that dramatically and stuck out her tongue. She turned to Rhia and said, "Oh, I want a nickname! What would suit me... I agree nothing stupid like... some sort of food or whatever." She smiled and laughed a bit with a couple chuckles escaping her mouth.

G'han nudged Kadan and gave a smirk. His friend had two girls chasing after him. "Hey I've come up with a contest now. Akki and Kia can compete for Kadan", he said to pretty much everyone there. He looked over to notice Rhia having her complete attention away from him and on R'dan. Surely she didn't like him now, not after all they had been through. He gave a worried look then turned his attention back on the craziness around him. He was having to much fun to be down in the dumps yet.

Kadan glared at G'han, the last thing he wanted was a competition with him as the prize, but then again he thought to himself, it might not be all that bad. He wasn't going to go against the idea.

“Mess with him?” R’dan repeated, wondering what exactly that entailed. “It better not make G’han mad.” He said, beginning to suspect that Rhia was up to something, “Or make her think that I…” he began to add out loud. His cheeks were soon tinged pink as he went back to silently watching the others joke around.

She looked around the room and smiled to herself. It seemed as if Rhia was trying to make G'han jealous, and R'dan was part of her scheme. Kadan seemed to be enjoying the attention and G'han too was enjoying the fact his friend was getting it. Christae was putting her opinion in about nicknames and Kia was trying to think of one. An interesting bunch we have here Akki said to her blue, who agreed whole heartedly.

Kadan looked at Kia and Akki. He began to wonder, if the competition was held who would win, who would like him more. It was just something for him to think about and keep his attention away from the fact that he was in the spot light.

Kia yelped as the meat hit her in the cheek. She picked up a piece a bit bigger then the one flung at her and hit Akki. "Ha," she cried triumphantly.
"Oh, I doubt it Akki, you were going to say you liked him and shun me," she said, dramatically flinging one arm on her head and the other behind her.

She considered it for a moment and said "True, but Kia would win for Kadan. She has an undying passion for him." She turned to Kia and asked simply, "Now do you forgive me for making you think I was going to say me and not you?". She ducked when the meat was flung at her, allowing it to hit someone else. "No throwing food Kia, and don't play with it either! Act your age!".

"Act my age? I don't know the meaning if those words," she cried. As she said them she stood and put one foot on her chair, acting like a hero. "Besides, everyone knows I have an undying passion for..." she looked around and chose randomly, "Suni! Daran's fire lizard!"

Kadan was a bit relieved and dissapointed at the same time. It seemed deep inside he liked the attention. Back at his hold he didn't get much attention, not nearly as much as was given him now.

Rhia shook her head. This was completely ridiculous, but entertaining. She shrugged at R'dan. "I guess that didn't work." She stuck her tongue out at the back of her weyrmate's head when he wasn't looking.
