Kia sniffled her nose quietly, trying to not let anyone hear. She tried to comfort herself by saying when she ate it would help heal her cold. She shivered in the winter breeze and smiled at Akki. "Well come on then, you don't want to get sick, do you," she said. Kia knew she was being a bit of a hypocrite for she, herself, was sick.
ooc|| Yay! I think Akki is Kia's first real friend at the Weyr... not just an acquatience... unless you don't think they are friends...

Kia stayed by the lake with Ebbeth. "So, Ebbeth... how do you like the Weyr," she said, trying to start a conversation. She moved the hair from her face and stood up. She felt a sneeze coming and muttered a muffled, "excuse me." She ran a bit away from Ebbeth and made her sneeze as quiet as possible so it still wasn't very quiet. She walked back to Ebbeth and waited for an answer.

R’dan glanced over at Kia. She was probably right he should change into dryer clothes. “I’ll be back soon,” he said as he got to his feet and brushed some dirt off and grabbed his boots and was about to leave but the brown rider heard Kia sniffle slightly. “Are you getting sick?”

Akki came back just in time to hear R'dans question. She turned to Kia and shook her finger at her saying "You hypocrite!". She winked at her friend, telling her she was joking around and said "Hope you get better if you are, and if your not better by tomorrow stay away from me!". [glow=blue,2,300]That's not kind[/glow] Ebbeth commented. I'm being sarcastic love, don't you worry She replied as she rested her hand on his head.

At first R’dan was shocked when Akki pointed her finger at her friend and exclaimed “You hypocrite!” But he noticed Akki wink at Kia. He grinned, “Yeah, don’t get me sick if you are.” He shivered as Jesseth created a breeze when he plopped down on the ground and shook his wings dry. “I should go change now before I get sick.” [glow=brown,2,300]~I'm staying here~[/glow] ~Right, just don't get into trouble.~ Jesseth snorted.
((Ugh, the brown glow is so hard to read, sorry ^#^))

R’dan ran off to his weyr in search of clean, dry, warm clothing. Jesseth turned to Ebbeth. ~Just a little damp I shall be dry soon though. ~ The brown dragon resumed drying his wings sending water droplets everywhere. When he figured they were thoroughly dry he folded his wings and said, ~ What about you?~

Jesseth cocked his head to the side when Ebbeth said that he liked R’dan. ~I think he should try to be less shy, but I like my mine too. Of course he is my mine, so I should like him.~ Jesseth’s eyes whirled. ~ I like your mine, too, she is very nice.~ Jesseth then looked at Kia and said to Ebbeth, ~ I think that girl will impress well. I’m glad she was searched.~
Back in R’dan’s and Jesseth’s weyr R’dan had found a clean and dry pair of clothes. When he took of his wet clothing and put the dry clothing on he noticed something that he had not noticed before. The pant legs and his shirt’s sleeves were about an inch short. It seemed as if the young dragon rider had finally started growing taller. This would mean cold ankles unless he located another pair of longer pants. It took a few minutes of searching but he managed to find a pair of longer pants. He shoved on his new boots; he’d been wearing his old boots down at the lake, and ran to join Akki and Kia down at the lake again.

Kia tried to shake off that she was sick by saying the easiest thing. "Got you! I was kidding," she said, a large smile on her face. It was pretty convincing. Perhaps she had learned a thing or two about lying from Miya.

R’dan returned just in time to hear Kia say that she was kidding about being sick. “If you say so,” He raised an eyebrow, it seemed rather strange to fake being sick. Oh well, he thought as he shrugged.

Miya walked towards everyone and sat down on the cool ground. She seemed to be everywhere lately, appearing where she felt. Her almost black eyes looked into the sky, as if searching for something. She looked at the others not even bothering to say hello as her eyes went back to search the endless sky.

[glow=teal,2,300]Who is that?[/glow] Ebbeth asked everyone except for the stranger girl. I don't know, I have never seen her before.
"That was rather convincing but if I hear a sneeze out of you I'm going to pester you for the rest of your time near me"Akki replied as she eyed Kia, searching for any signs of a illness like red eyes or a runny nose.

~Yes it will be very interesting to see the new dragons~ Jesseth turned to look at the girl that Ebbeth mentioned. ~I don’t know, R’dan says he doesn’t know either, but he knows she is a candidate.~ The brown dragon looked at the girl (Miya) again as if scrutinizing her. ~ I wonder what she would do if we asked her who she was… ~ His eyes swirled mischievously.
“You better watch out Kia, she seems serious. Make sure you don’t go anywhere that’s really dusty, you may sneeze and Akki may think you’re sick” R’dan said with a grin.

Kia laughed at R'dan's and Akki's comments. She looked at Miya and it didn't take much thinking to remember her. She put her hands in fists and muttered, "That is Miya, the obnoxious one," with anger in her voice. She once again said quietly, "She deserves a mauling."
