When Kaiya started speaking every bad thought that Wolf might have had about her disappeared, with the snap of a finger. She stared at the girl the entire time she spoke, surprised that she could be so wrong about a person; it happened. When Kaiya was finally done speaking a huge grin was spread across Wolf's face and she nodded in understanding. She turned back to Riler, flashing him a smirk. "Well, I feel that this is the beginning of something," she teased. "What, I'm not sure, but that's what makes it so fun." The girl’s spirits were obviously lifting. "No Kaiya," she said persistently, turning back to the redheaded girl again. "I should be sorry, because whether or not I voiced it I had mistakenly judged you also. It’s a common occurrence, part of what makes us human. Just like mistakes makes us...” she trailed off looking for the right word, “imperfect." Wolf chuckled softly, extending a hand out to Kaiya. "Apology accepted, now lets just put this behind us. After all, we're going to be riders together." 'Yes, some one who can realize what they've done wrong so quickly, and be able to identify it with an erring inside themselves? That's the kind of person that is worthy of impression.' She punched Riler's shoulder playfully. With Wolf contact was often only on her own terms, unless she felt comfortable with whom ever it was and was not at the present moment emotionally unstable.
When Riler raised his question of what Kaiya would do now Wolf didn't look at her, not wanting the girl to be pressured. She wanted her to make her own decision based on what she felt to be right. Perhaps Kaiya was still the kind of person that didn't let her emotions get in the way. In part, that could be a good thing, but when it came to other various situations it could really be a downfall. "Do what you feel is right," Wolf said in a low voice. She began to shuffle her feet, due to both restlessness and nervousness. She blew a stray section of her bangs out of her eyes, though it landed back in the same place, so really there hadn't been a real point to the action.
Wolf was aware that the time of night was getting later and later, and soon enough the three of them would have to return to there sleeping quarters. She wished she could stay out here longer, and get to know both Riler and Kaiya better, but she knew that Serinth would require her undivided attention in the morning. If she was grumpy, due to having ran through so many emotions tonight, and due to a lack of sleep, Serinth would be on her case about it.

Kaiya smiled and nodded, accepting Wolf's hand and giving it a firm shake, all the while feeling secretly pleased that the girl who'd already impressed had said that they'd 'be riders together'. Did Wolf think she stood a good chance of impressing, then? She certainly hoped she would, and that the other girl thought she might. Wolf had impressed, after all, so maybe she could somewhat tell? No, that wasn't it. She just liked it that the other girl seemed to honestly put faith in her statement.
Turning to face both Riler and Wolf, she bit her lower lip for a moment, unsure of what to say to what they'd pretty much asked her outright to say. What would she do next? She looked up at Wolf for a moment when the girl quietly said that she should do what felt right. She stood there, and thought. Then she thought some more, eyes wandering from one face to the other. Then?
Kaiya broke out laughing. A huge grin spread across her face, and she replied without missing a beat, "I'm going to go have a short swim. You two are welcome to join me, it's hot in the barracks and that's what I came out here to do," she snickered, and then went on, "then, after that, I'm going to go to bed, and try and get some sleep. I suggest you two do the same, and let yourselves get a good one, at that..." she trailed off, looking up at the stars overhead, before looking back at the two in front of her, and saying solemnly, "I don't rat out people I consider friends, and at this point, ratting out would be exactly what I'd be doing since you've both said you'll try not to let this happen again. What I will do, however, is try to support you if it gets hard on you to resist furthering your relationship beyond close friends-you both know what would happen if you were to do that..." She trailed off, and smiled again, asking, "so, how about that swim?"
It seemed she was taking a page out of Wolf's book just then-a slightly humorous and laid back approach to what had been a serious situation, hoping to reassure the pair that their secret was safe with her, for the time being-if they kept their word. If they slipped up, that was one thing. If they deliberately tried to continue things despite their word, however, she would have to find a way to try and tactfully stop it before things got out of hand. Not, mind you, that she ever wanted it to come to that.

Riler couldn’t help but agree with Wolf when she mentioned that not knowing exactly what their future held was a little more fun. He nodded at her, but kept his lips pursed. He was a little shocked to hear Wolf so boldly stating that they were going to be riders together. There was absolutely no way she could know such a thing. But Riler had gotten the something like that same compliment himself from Wolf. Thinking about it, Riler would honestly be surprised if Kaiya didn’t Impress. The girl did have an impressive display of talking, and, obviously, an excellent sense of judgment. Yes, she’d make a great rider. Now Wolf had at least two people to root for at the next Hatching; Riler and Kaiya. Riler wondered what Kaiya would Impress, if she did Impress. The thought suddenly felt unimportant, so he let the idea slip out of his mind.
Riler nodded at Wolf, agreeing with her when she told Kaiya to do what she thought was right. As Kaiya began talking, Riler wasn’t sure whether or not she was going to answer the question, until he realized that she was probably not answering the question immediately, with seriousness, because she wouldn’t turn them in. She looked up at the sky, and then actually answered the question he had meant. Yes, she wasn’t turning them in! Riler didn’t feel relieved; he felt thankful. Thankful that Kaiya wanted to help them instead of turning over the responsibility to somebody superior to herself. She wanted to personally see to it that they got through this. Riler got the feeling that this was the start to an excellent friendship.
Waves of exhaustion suddenly swept over Riler. He suddenly felt very tired. He had had a long day, and then getting up in the middle of the night to go on a walk, and then this. Adding a swim to that seemed like a little too much for Riler. He shook his head apologetically. “No thanks, though I do agree that the barracks are sweltering. Maybe they’ve cooled down by now...” Riler’s voice trailed off. He highly doubted it was any cooler in the barracks now than it had been when he left. Despite the heat, he felt like if he went to bed now he’d be able to fall asleep. And sleep was what he wanted. “I think I’m going to turn in, actually. It’s been a long day and right now, crashing into my bed seems like a wonderful thought.” He smiled, looking between Kaiya and Wolf. “I hear that there’s going to be a Gather in a few days at Southern Hold. Maybe I’ll see you both there?” He had heard a couple riders talking about it earlier that day, and they had mentioned it was sometime soon, they never mentioned exactly when it was.
Before he left to sneaking back to the barracks, he turned to Kaiya. “I want to just thank you again for everything you’ve done for me, for us,” he added, glancing over at Wolf with a smile. “I really appreciate it. For what it’s worth, I think you handled it well, in a way.” He grinned. “I’m looking forward to being a rider with you.” Before Kaiya could protest, Riler gave the girl a quick embrace, hugging her out of his thanks. He let go quickly, grinning in her face. And then he turned to Wolf. “Wolf, I’m glad we met this night. I’m ever so glad we’ve managed to work this out.” He smiled brightly, beaming into her eyes. “I’ll see you later on.” He hugged her, too, only this time, he didn’t speed up the process. He held her tightly, closely, before releasing her, a large smile on his face. “Bye!” He waved his hand to them, walking backwards for a moment, before turning around, walking away from them. He had a lot to think about. The first thing he wanted to do that night, though, was get good nights sleep. And that was exactly what he did.
(OOC: Just gonna start wrapping things up, here. ^^ )

Wolf's worries died away when the girl shook her hand firmly. She soon let go and chuckled softly, her laughter due to her present pleasure in having made a new friend. 'What's she going to do though?' Wolf wondered, seeing as the question of whether or not either one of them wanted to go for a swim was completely irrelevant to the topic. Then, when Kaiya began to speak once again, talking of how she wasn't the type of person to rat some one out, all Wolf's fears melted away. A huge grin broke out on her face at hearing what the girl was proposing-being some one that either one of them could go to when things got troublesome. "Thank you Kaiya, I won't forget your offer, trust me." She looked to Riler just then, and listened as he turned down the offer of a swim and explained that he was exhausted. She too, was exhausted, and therefore she was going to have to sadly turn down the generous offer as well.
She was just about to speak but first decided to allow Riler to say his good-byes. She smiled a bit when he hugged Kaiya, unsure if her smile was a cause of nervousness or something else... Then, when he came over and hugged her for a longer period of time, she felt her arms wrapping around his neck before he pulled away. It felt so good to be held on to-to just feel some one's love and affection seeping in to you. It not only gave her a feeling of security but it made her feel special-unique. Especially since it was Riler.
She watched him walk away, waving a farewell, mouthing the words good-bye while she didn't actually speak out. She had nodded at the proposal that they might see each other at the Gathering, to be held in a few days time. She turned to Kaiya then, her grin taking on a sheepish turn. She felt bad for having to say no. "I'm sorry but I'm very tired as well, and its like I said, Serinth needs my undivided attention. I hope you have a good night, I'm sure we'll see each other at the Gathering," she told her; swaying her body back and forth. Then, with a wave of her hand and a warm smile, she was walking off in the opposite direction of Riler.
'I wonder what Riler will treat me like after tonight-will he act the same?' she wondered. 'I'm sure he will... I hope he will but... won't that only make things harder on the both of us? I guess no one said it was supposed to be easy,' she thought. She gave a small sigh, staring down at her feet while she walked. She turned to look back at Kaiya, a smile lighting her face once again. 'I hope she turns out to be some one I can trust and count on, friends are definitely something you can't have enough of.' She folded her arms up behind her head and walked on in silence, feeling as if her legs were falling asleep. When she got back to the Weyrling Barracks she made sure to be quiet, slipping in soundlessly. As soon as her head hit the pillow all her muscles relaxed, and she closed her eyes over slowly. Thoughts of Riler, and what he had told her tonight, consumed her mind-leading her in to a world of unforgettable dreams.
