((ok im going to generalize this))
Christae called each W'ling up and presented the knots to them. After all of them had been given their knots and congratulated she raised her hands up for silence. "People of Dark Moon, riders, weyrfolk and honored guests, I am pleased to present to you the newest riders of Dark Moon Weyr."
She clapped along with the others as thunderous applause burst forth from the audience. She released the W'lings and signaled the drudges to bring out the feast. Tables were laden with food. Roast wherry, roast herdbeast, stews, klah, hot sweet rolls, hot bread, tarts, bubbly pies and all manner of treats were laid out so that the tables groaned under the weight. Wineskins were made available to the guests as well.
"Eat and be merry my friends and honored guests. This is a time for celebration!" A toddler shrieked and ran from the weyrwoman that was holding him. Christae laughed as her son raced up to her and raised his arms, demanding to be held. "Aren't you a handsome little man." She crooned as she picked up the two turn old dressed in his Gather finery. Little did the woman know that Sh'iron would take the child from her before Rukbat's rays began to warm the weyr when he slipped in to gather the rest of his things while she was out at the lake that night with her dragon speaking with Sorcha. ((this is just to explain some things and catch some people up...no one knows this))

As Hasima waited patiently for each person to go up and recieve their knots, she scanned the area to see who she could spot in the mass of riders that she knew. She was concentrating quite a bit, trying to distinguish blonde heads, brown heads that she knew from the ones she didn't. She blinked, rather surprised, as a burst of applause filled the air around her, making it feel like the sound was suffocating her. As soon as the Weyrwoman motioned for the drudges to come out and for the new W'lings to leave, Hasima slipped into the crowd of people.
She swerved around drudges as carefully as she could, going slowly so she wouldn't bump into anyone but not slow enough to create a jam of people. Rimith trotted beside her, so close she nearly collided with the girls feet a few times. Hasima had been concentrating on a blonde head, Akki's to be exact, but she soon lost sight of the blue rider. But before she knew it, hands enveloped her into a hug.
"Hasima! Congratulations! Now, I'd chat quickly and ramble on about pointless things, but I'm really quite hungry and I bet you are too. Let us get some food and then chit chat. Besides, I have some heart wrenching news to tell R'xis." Akki said with a wink and a smile as she made her way to a table, plucking a sweet roll off of it, Hasima right behind her followed by the small yellow.

Anassa curtseyed deeply to the Queenrider and then again to the rest of the weyr after she had obtained her W'ling knots. She wore a gown of Harper blue. She was, after all, still a Harper Senior apprentice even though she was now a dragonrider. She would continue her lessons once Priath no longer needed constant attention. The gown was a floor-length affair like everyone else's. It hugged her lithe body and showed off the few curves her slender form had. The v-neck of the gown showed off creamy skin. The bell-sleeves came off the shoulders a bit. The dress was embroidered with darker blue thread. Her sun-streaked brown hair was pulled into a half a runner tail and fell down straight to her shoulders.
Priath's forest green hide seemed to ripple as she moved with the dark lines crisscrossing her glossy hide. The oiling that her rider had given her made her hide shine in the light of the glows and fires in the cavern. Anassa waved to show her parents that she would be coming and then turned to her fellow W'lings.
She found Wolf with her little Serinth and ran to hug her. "I was so afraid that you would be left standing after that moonstreak went for Sorcha. I am so glad you Impressed Wolf! She is gorgeous and I know you will make a great Queenrider!"
Do you regret leaving the Harper Hall? The pretty green dragon asked, a plaintive note in her voice.
Of course not silly! I am ever so glad I did. I love the weyr and if I had remained in the Hall I would not have Impressed you dear heart! Anassa bent down to scratch the dragonet's eye ridges. She looked up when her name was called. Her family had come to the Hatching and were waving at her to join them at their table.

As the Weyrlings came filing, in among them was Wolf and the small Gold Serinth. She waited for her turn to be called-up, her hands fidgeting nervously. Please calm down. Your getting so nervous about nothing that it's starting to make me nervous. A small blush rose to Wolf's cheeks and she grinned sheepishly at the dragonet. Sorry, I just know how important this moment is going to be. If I mess it up I'll never forgive myself. Tell you what, if you embarrass yourself up there I'll purposely do something equally embarrassing to take the spotlight off of you. Okay? Wolf couldn't help herself, she started laughing, covering her mouth as to muffle herself. That's really sweet love but all that's going to show is that your just as incompetent as me. Serinth gave a draconian-smile, her head turning toward Christae as she hard them being called-up. Wolf said to herself quietly, "this is it, this is it. I can't walk in heels... This is going to be a disaster..." Serinth walked alongside Her's as Wolf came to stand before Christae. As her shoulder knot was slipped on she staggered some, regaining her composure after a moment or two. Serinth did nothing, figuring that if she did she'd only bring more attention to them. "Sorry," she whispered to Christae, smirking. "Thank-you so much, I don't know where I'd be without you." Wolf bowed to the Weyrwoman before joining the group of Weyrlings, who were all soon dismissed.
There were so many people, it was hard to get around. "That was amazing!" Wolf said out loud, having directed her comment to Serinth. Serinth looked around at all the people she didn't know, trying her best to remain calm for Wolf's sake. Wolf was looking for one in particular, knowing that her brother would head straight to her, Akki. Once she reached the girl she wasted no time in pulling her into a hug. "Hey!" she yelled, Serinth's eyes whirring a pleasurable green as she looked up at the Bluerider. "It's so good to see you," Wolf told Akki before turning around to hug Hasima too. "I wanted to thank-you, for helping me get through my fears at the hatching. Your a true friend, don't ever forget that" Wolf told Hasima sincerely. Hello Rimith, Mine is ever so happy to see Your's. It's nice to be seeing you again. How are you and Your's fairing tonight? Wolf had thought she was going to be way more nervous then this but realizing that she was surrounded by friend's made her feel one-hundred percent comfortable-or at least 90. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis stood in line, waiting for him and Ersith to be addressed. Meanwhile he was scanning the crowd for Akki's head of blond hair. 'I can't wait to see her beautiful fa-' We're being called, move! Ersith sent to him urgently, butting him with her head. R'xis came to, only Ersith having known that he had gone off into Akki la la land. R'xis made haste as he headed up to the Weyrwoman, trying to make it seem like he hadn't been daydreaming in the Weyrling line like a fool just then. As the Weyrling knot was slipped onto his shoulder he bowed to the Weyrwoman. "Thank-you very much," he said, looking over to Ersith who was now laughing. Stuff it would you? R'xis sent to her, rubbing the back of his neck, chuckling embarrassedly as he joined the group of Weyrlings. I'm sorry it's just that your thoughts of her were so unrealistic, I just had to laugh. It could happen... R'xis replied, scoffing. I don't think her running to you in slow motion ever could. Ersith starting laughing again after the ceremony ended, quickly following R'xis as he headed to Akki. He was muttering to the female Brown on the way there about how he was aloud to dream without her crushing it. Oh, but it was all too tempting, Ersith pointed out. R'xis didn't bother to reply, his arms already wrapped around Akki. "Hey, I feel like I've waited an eternity to see you." He hadn't let go of her, taking in the clean smell of her hair. Mine? Let her go. It's not like she's going to disappear if you don't. Ersith looked around, finding herself sad to not have Ebbeth in there prescience. R'xis didn't listen to Ersith, hardly noticing his sister and Hasima were there. Ersith looked back to Her's, realizing that he was still hugging her and appeared as if he was dazed. Snap out of it and let her go before she decides to charge you with assault! Ersith teased, looking at the other Weyrlings for a reaction; wondering if Her's was embarrassing himself or not.

"Wolf!" Akki cried happily, spraying a bit of sweetroll into the air since it was shoved into her mouth. Don't talk with your mouth full Ebbeth sniffed, though obviously amused as he continued to listen in on the conversation taking place. Akki swallowed, coughing for a moment as she choked on the rather large piece of food, and replied, "It's even better to see you! A queen rider. That's amazing, I can't get over it. Hello Serinth." Akki said, grinning down at the gold.
Hasima squeaked slightly as, once again, she was pulled into a hug. She looked at Wolf and a small grin broke across her face, "Thank you.". It felt good to be called a friend, she never really had a friend before Dark Moon. All she could think of at the moment was how glad that she was searched and that she went along with the blue rider. Greetings to you and yours too. Rimith crooned happily, her tail swinging from side to side. She was nervous at first, but she's glad that the feast has started and she can talk to people. As am I.
Akki was talking to Hasima and Wolf both, saying that the was probably the best hatching, which then Ebbeth said aloud that she didn't appreciate him apparently then and he really shouldn't have made her his rider. Akki was about to roll her eyes at Ebbeth's comment but before she could, someone had wrapped themselves around her. "It's like a hugging circle." Akki laughed as she wrapped her arms around R'xis, returning the hug. "Come now, it hasn't been an eternity. Maybe a few hundred turns, but that's about it." Akkisaid with a snort of amusement before pretending to chatise the boy. "Now R'xis. That's now way to treat the other Weyrlings. You have forgotten to greet Hasima and more importantly your sister. For shame." She said as she cast a wink to Wolf.
Akki was silent for a moment, before a giggle escaped from her lips. "R'xis. Did you just sniff my hair? Does it smell clean at least, or wavy? Can hair smell wavy even? Oh well, I'm saying it can if it really wants too.". She stepped out of his hug and went on her kness, so she could greet Ersith. "Hello Ersith, how are you today? Has R'xis embarassed you enough yet? She said with a grin. Yes, greetings Ersith. And you Rimith and Serinth. I have forgotten my manners it seems and forgot to say hello to all of you. Forgive me, I was too busy being disgusted at my mines eating habits. Ebbeth rumbled happily. "Now R'xis. I'm going to give you some new that could quite possibly break your heart." Akki said, delivering that statement with a smile.

Wolf laughed at Akki's words, feeling the same way. "I know, I'm still not used to the thought of it. It feels like I'm in a permanent shock." As Serinth was addressed by Akki the Gold nodded to the girl, not looking away from her. Tell the Bluerider that I am happy to see her and glad that she provides such a great friendship with you. Wolf looked down to Serinth, then back to Akki, smiling. "She says that she's happy to see you and that she's also happy that you and I are friends." Wolf went to add something when she was brushed past by some guy... Her brother. "R'xis!" she shouted happily, watching as he went straight for Akki. 'Males, can't expect anything less' she told herself. Is there some male that you were hoping to come across Mine? Serinth asked her, now appearing concerned for her Rider. Who, me? Aw shards no. Never, Wolf sent back to the Gold, feeling as if she figuratively shrunk a few inches.
Wolf looked back at Hasima, seeing that R'xis had still not let go of the poor Bluerider. "So, Hasima, feel like doing something other then watching my brother smother Akki?" Wolf teased, her smirk proving that she was only joking. As Ebbeth's voice registered in her head Serinth replied immediately. It is quite alright Ebbeth. When it comes to your Rider's manners, I find her quite amusing to watch. Then Serinth continued on her conversation with Rimith, enjoying the company of so many others. Mine felt the same way. Tell Your's that I said Mine feels very strongly about there friendship. If Your's were ever to need anyone there for her I'm positive that Mine would gladly come to her rescue. Serinth had this whole thing with being polite as well as making sure Wolf's friends knew how much she cared for them. She knew that sometimes Wolf could be a bit withdrawn, so she'd help her with that. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis blushed, which made him look down-due to Akki's comment of having been smelling her hair. "I ah... no," he lied, laughing to cover it up. "Just the sniffles..." Sniffles my butt, Ersith commented aloud. R'xis shot her a glare, as if telling her to be nice to him. The female Brown nuzzled Akki's hand as the girl came down to her level. R'xis was about to change the subject to Ersith when Akki said something that made him worry. "What do you mean?" he asked, feeling as if his entire body had just all of a sudden become chilled. 'Is she breaking up with me?' he thought. 'Is there someone else? I knew it, I knew I should have been more forward!' He cursed himself, not looking away from the girl of his dreams. People break up when they're actually together. Ersith told him, holding in her laughter, figuring that the teasing comment had been enough. Ersith knew that if she wanted to talk to Ebbeth she could, so she did. Greetings to you as well Ebbeth, it is a fine night isn't it? I hope you are fairing well, and enjoying yourself at this time. Mine is still as obsessed as ever with Your's. He's good at embarrassing himself, isn't he? Ersith sent to the currently larger Blue. She looked forward to his reply, knowing that some humor was often mixed with anything he said-which she loved.

Akki looked back at Wolf and Serinth and grinned, "I'm glad you're happy to see me Serinth. I think my heart would break a bit if you didn't.". Hasima watched as Akki was hugged by R'xis before looking over at Wolf and nodded slowly, "I'd like that. Should we go talk to the other Weyrlings?". Hasima looked around them, only to spot the girl that was with Wolf when on the sands, Anassa. "Do you know her?" Hasima asked, cocking her head to the side, "Can you introduce me?". Rimith crooned encouragingly, she was glad Hasima had asked that, the girl needed to meet more people and this seemed like an excellent oppurtunity to do so. Greetings clutch-sister. I am Rimith, and this is Hasima. You are? Rimith asked Priath, wanting to help Hasima meet the greens mine. The yellow relayed Serinth's words to Hasima, who grinned in return before replying I am glad at that fact, and I am sure my mine would do the same for yours.
"Sniffles?" Akki asked, confused before grinning, "They're gone now it seems at least, which is glad. I don't want you getting me sick.". Akki scratched Ersith's eye ridges, "Aren't you a lovely brown. Definitely one of the nicest ones I met. Then again, I haven't met too many other browns so I don't know if that means that much.". Akki straightened, fixing her dressand getting the dirt off of it. "What do I mean? I mean that I have some news that could possibly break you heart for a bit. That's what I mean." Akki said, nodding absent mindedly.
"Now what I was saying?" Akki said, pausing to collect her thoughts. "Ah, yes. I remember now. Right. My wrenching news. You do know the Weyrlings rules, right R'xis? Or have you guys not heard them yet. Because there's one that might be disliked by you." Akki said with a smile, not wanting to make the news seem terrible. "I think it goes like 'Weyrlings can not have intimate relationships of any kind'. Yes, I think that's how it goes." Akki said, as she relayed the first rule for the new Weyrlings. "Now, you haven't commented on my dress yet." She said, pretending to sulk as she tried to change the subject.
It's definitely a skill he's good at, embarassing himself. Ebbeth chuckled darkly. I am doing quite well, despite the fact all of you new dragons are doing a good job of making me seem like a boring old blue. Now, how crushed do you think your mine will be from that rule that my rider just said? I'm saying a bit. I was surprised that she even told him, she didn't want to at all but apparently did so because it's for the best. Or because it is a rule.

Anassa had started to walk to her family's table when Priath sent a message saying that she was hailed. I am Priath and my rider is Harper sr. Apprentice Anassa. It is a pleasure to meet you clutch-sister. My regards to your rider.
The forest green beauty's voice was prim but very polite and genuinely pleased that she had been hailed. Anassa turned, her full skirts sweeping the floor to see who had caught her dragon's attention. Her eyes caught sight of the little yellow that had hatched from the stolen void egg.
"Aren't you a beauty...Rimith." She added the name after a slight pause. Her dragon had silently filled in the other dragon's name. Her eyes flicked to the girl standing near the dragon. "I take it that you are Hasima? I am Anassa, Harper Hall sr. Apprentice and rider of Green Priath. It is a pleasure to meet you." Her voice held a musical lilt to it. Her tones were sweet and welcoming with a singsong quality.

Wolf squeaked as she was hugged by Anassa, turning toward the girl that had been on the sands with her. She nodded at Hasima's words, ready to introduce them, though it seemed that Anassa had beaten her to it. Wolf grinned widely, looking to the Green rider. "I'm so happy to see you!" Before Wolf knew it she was hugging her back, laughing. "You can not even imagine how happy I was to see that you had impressed, I would have been heartbroken if you hadn't..." Wolf's gaze went to Green Priath. "Your a beauty, aren't ya' Admin's Note:
" she smiled, kneeling to the dragonet's eye-level. Serinth came alongside Wolf, not at all jealous. Hello there, I am Serinth. The one in front of you is my rider Wolf. I hope that you and your's are fairing well this evening. Serinth sent her greetings to Priath joyously. Wolf looked from Priath to Serinth, loving that her dragonet was more social then she. Wolf had practically forgotten all about saying hello to her brother since she was now surrounded by two of her friends and there dragonets.
"I have to admit, I'm starved." Wolf looked embarrassed by her words, since she normally kept silent until someone else mentioned them being hungry-to which she would say she was too. I'm getting hungry myself Mine, Serinth sent privately to Her's. We'll get you something then love, don't you worry. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis looked extremely faint just then, placing a hand on his leg unsteadily. "Hm, what?" he asked, staring at her quite blankly. Ersith paused her conversation with Ebbeth for a moment to steady her rider. She said you never commented on her dress Mine... Are you going to be okay? I feel what this is doing to you... This feeling you possess, it's very strong. R'xis wasn't stupid, he knew that the reason for this rule was to safeguard Ersith from his intense emotions. At this very moment though he was doing anything but that, he was letting her in on all of it. If he blocked her from his thoughts and feelings she might become alarmed although... I'm alright Ersith, and thank-you. I had merely forgotten what she said, my thoughts had been elsewhere. R'xis nodded his head slowly to Akki. "Yes, your dress..." He looked her up and down, quite wishing he hadn't as he bit his lip. She was so beautiful in that dress, my goodness. "You look beautiful Akki... I can't even begin to tell you just how beautiful." He stood there, not feeling at all hungry anymore. Despite that he looked over to the tables set-out with food, wondering if that'd be a good enough excuse to get away from Akki. He needed some time to think about what all of this meant. He was assuming that this rule lasted for as long as it took for him to become a Full Rider. From what he knew that could be a year or more. He tried to focus on his sister, looking over at her, but just then the entire room had started to spin. This news hadn't been what he needed and it came as a huge shock to him as well. 'It figures, the one time I actually like someone and I can't even be with them' he thought to himself.
Ersith resumed her conversation with Ebbeth, a frown appearing upon her maw. He is very much so taking it to heart. I have a feeling that this is my fault... Now I can't help but feel guilty. All the same I know R'xis is happy to have me around, he's always wanted to impress. Ersith's frown turned to a smile at the thought of her aiding to R'xis's happiness. As soon as both the frown and smile had come-her face became expressionless. Your Rider, she means a lot to him... I don't think I even comprehended just how much. What do you think will come of all of this? Ersith wondered. Personally her, the dragonet liked Akki very much. As long as her Mine was happy she didn't see the problem with it... of course it was known that a dragonet could not handle strong emotions from a Rider when they came... Could Ersith be any different?

And my regards to yours. That's a long title she has, isn't it? A mouthful. Rimith said pleasantly, not trying to make it sound like an insult as it wasn't one. Rimith crooned happily, as Anassa complimented her while Hasima nodded. "I am Hasima, rider of Yellow Rimith. It's nice to meet you." Hasima said softly, but her voice showed that she was quite happy to meet the girl and her dragonet. Hasima smiled in agreement and said, "I'm also hungry. Should we go get something to eat?".
Akki's normally broad and large grin, slowly turned into a rather small smile, one almost sympathetic and apologetic. She felt bad that she was the one to tell R'xis about the number one rule, but he had to know as soon as possible for Akki didn't want him to get in trouble. "I'm sorry R'xis, but I can't change the rules I'm afraid as much as I want too." She said softly, offering him a small, weak smile. Sensing that she should leave him alone for a bit, to let it sink in, she ducked her head slightly and went into a crowd of people, getting lost as she blended into the other heads and dresses.
She appeared a moment later, draping an arm around Wolf's and Hasima's shoulder. "I think I broke you brother Wolf, I'm sorry." She said to the girl with a wink. She looked over at Anassa and said happily, "Hello. Lovely green you got there, she's an interesting shade. A dark green, very suitable.". Come now, this feast is supposed to be joyous. Nothing is your fault except for the fact your blaming yourself. Ebbeth said, snorting silently with amusement. I do not know actually, but I'm not too worried. What ever happens, happens. Now go on, go socialize with the other dragons other wise I'll be blamed for hogging you all night. Ebbeth sniffed.

"Sounds great to me," Wolf told Hasima, imagining the feel of warm Klah sliding down her throat. She licked her lips dreamily, jumping as Akki's arm slipped over her shoulders. Wolf chuckled at her words. "He'll need time." Wolf knew her brother well enough to know that when depressing things happened he took longer then most people to recover-though he always claimed to be perfectly fine. "You hungry Akki?" Wolf asked teasingly, inclining her head toward the tables of food. Her stomach growled, which made her quickly wrap an arm around it. Wolf couldn't hide her embarrassment very well, which made Serinth rumble amusedly. One of Wolf's inner thoughts dragged out Serinth's curiosity. You are very worried about your brother Mine? I know R'xis, this is going to hit him hard. The longer he has to withhold from letting Akki in the worse he's going to get. That's what happened when our mom died... He wasn't as open with me anymore. Serinth frowned, looking down. She didn't know what to say, only her Rider's brother could help himself and perhaps Ersith. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis didn't look to Akki the entire time she spoke. He knew that she had meant well in telling him the rule, but for many reasons he wished she would have just not said anything at all. He couldn't have possibly been blamed for something he hadn't know, right? Was it really wrong of him to feel like he needed her in his life? Oh well, it was too late now... As he finally did turn to look at her, due to the silence, he saw that she had gone. He took a cleansing breath, looking to Ersith-who happened to be looking to him. I will catch up with you later then Ebbeth, it has been a pleasure talking to you, Ersith told the mute Blue before talking to her Rider. Perhaps it'd be best if we go and talk to some of the others. We don't have to be around only Akki. Not everything revolves around her Mine, it's best not to become obsessed. I'm not obsessed Ersith... Meeting others sounds good to me... I guess. Ersith raised her wedge-shaped head, looking around at the sea of people. Who could she lead her Rider to? Ersith sighed, looking back to R'xis, who was walking away. Ersith wasted no time in following him, wondering where he was headed. Her question was soon answered as the pair came upon a table covered with food. R'xis reached out and grabbed a meatroll, taking a small bite of it.

"Wolf, Wolf, Wolf." Akki said with a sigh, clucking her tongue as if she was dissapointed in the girl. "I'm Akki. I could consume a dragon if I wanted too. Let's face it, I'm always hungry." She said, nodding, pretending she was teaching her friend a worthy life lesson which she most certainly was not doing. Akki cocked her head, hearing the stomach growl and grinned, "Seems like I'm not the only one hungry too. Let's go then, off to snatch some food!". She didn't say anything about R'xis, wanting to forget about it just for now so she could enjoy the feast while hoping the boy would do the same thing. It didn't seem fair that he would be depressed during the feast and she wouldn't be, but it was hard to make Akki depressed.
She knew she should have been sad with R'xis but she couldn't be, she just wasn't the sad person, it didn't go well with her that emotion. She also knew that R'xis probably didn't like the rule that much or the fact she was the one to tell it to him, but what could she have done? If she didn't tell R'xis, she'd have to avoid him. She couldn't let him have a relationship with her when she knew it wasn't right, she'd get in trouble for letting it happen and not telling the brown rider. She sighed quietly, slightly confused by the recent events that had occured. Maybe it was for the best though, there was an age difference between the two and who knew what could happen while Ersith matured enough for them to continue on.
And it was nice talking to you Ebbeth said to the female brown dragon before turning his attention to his rider. Come now, I have rarely seen you sad and I'd think I'd cause a commotion if you began feeling down at this feast. The blue pointed out matter-of-factly. Akki rolled her eyes, and told the blue that she'd pay money to see him create a large commotion right now. "I smell fooood." Akki said, in an almost sing-song voice, as she slid over to a table which was decorated in food and drinks that were waiting to be eaten.

Priath lifted her head proudly vain. She twisted so that the black lines of her hide shimmered in her forest green hide. I am pleased to meet you and yours clutch-sister. My regards to your rider. Mine is Anassa, Sr. Harper Apprentice. Priath told Serinth before turning to her yellow sister. My rider does have a long title but she deserves it. She is a good Harper. The little green dragonet's chest puffed out in pride.
"I would have been heartbroken if you had not Impressed as well Wolf. Serinth is gorgeous. Congratulations. You deserve her." She told Wolf. Then the young Harper turned her attention back to Hasima. "A pleasure to meet you Hasima and congratulations again on Impressing Rimith."
The greenrider's stomach let out an audible growl. "My stomach is complaining as well. Look, the drudges are waving us over. Let's get some food and then go celebrate our Impressions." Anassa looked startled when the bluerider appeared and complimented Priath.
"I am Sr. Apprentice Harper Anassa and my dragon is Priath, bluerider. Thank you for the compliment." She half-bowed. Priath tilted her head to study the older rider.

Wolf smiled gently at Anassa. "Thank-you," she said, soon after adding: "Serinth thanks you as well." Wolf looked past the Greenrider to where the food tables were. "Let's go!" Wolf boldly linked arms with Anassa and Hasima, not wanting to lose them among the crowd of others. She had many great friends, she felt so privileged! Serinth followed behind the trio, her own happiness visible. As Wolf reached the food table she reached out for a piece of bread, scarfing it down hungrily. She attempted to keep all mannerly and the like but wasn't succeeding all that well. Having fun? Serinth asked Wolf all-knowingly. Wolf had been worried that this night was going to bomb but Serinth had reassured her that the night would be unforgettable. I'm having lots of fun! You want a meatroll? Before Serinth could respond Wolf was already feeding the meatroll to her. Serinth licked her chops, loving the taste of the well prepared food. Feel free to feed me more! Serinth crooned happily, nudging her Rider's leg, as if demanding it. "Alright, alright!" Wolf laughed aloud, feeding the Gold another meatroll. "She's hungry, can you tell?" Wolf said to both Hasima and Anassa sarcastically. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis was munching daintily on a meatroll when Akki came popping up beside him. "Wow," he said rather loudly, flipping around to face her in surprise. He had thought he lost her among the crowd, not that he had hoped to... "I can see your hungry," he smirked, watching as her eyes ran over the food table. "That's a good thing, you know, eating keeps you healthy." It would appear that his good-nature had returned, though the whole situation continued to pierce his heart figuratively.
Ersith looked about, not spotting any other dragonet's for her to talk to. She then realized that she had not greeted Serinth, her Rider's sibling's dragon. Hello there, I am Ersith if you didn't already know. My rider is R'xis, your Rider's sibling. Are you and your rider enjoying yourselves? she asked, raising her head higher to try and spot the Golden dragonet. She saw her not too far off, also at one of the food tables. The female Brown nodded her head to Serinth, standing by her. Ersith felt that maybe it was her who needed to go off while R'xis spent some time with Akki... Well, would that help things or just make them worse? My Rider has a special bond with Your's, I feel it whenever he thinks or talks about her. I suppose being related does that... Ersith said, contemplating if it was blood relation that made Wolf and R'xis so close like they were. 'Maybe it's because they're alike?' Ersith thought to herself. R'xis watched Ersith to see where she was headed off to, smirking to himself as he realized that it was his sister's dragonet that his own had found. His eyes drew to Akki's face again, as if he'd rather not be looking anywhere else... which held a lot of truth to it. He had finished the meatroll and now stood there silently, waiting to see what she'd come up with to say-something amusing no doubt.

Hasima squeaked quietly as Wolf hooked arms with her and Anassa, being dragged towards a table of food. She didn't mind though, the fact she was being pulled along. Now she couldn't get lost in the crowd, and she felt very wanted at this moment she had to admit. She never had many friends, and here at Dark Moon it seemed as if she had endless amounts. It was a very good feeling. Rimith quickly followed with her rider, trotting along at her heels not wanting to get lost. Hasima picked up a sweetroll, eating it slowly, as if she was nibbling at it before ripping off a bit and passing it to Rimith who happily accepted it. Hasima laughed quietly at Wolf's comment, and nodded happily.
Akki looked up to see R'xis and grinned, nodding, "Only slightly R'xis. You know me, I can never turn down food. Why else do you think I look like a dragon? No offense meant to all of the dragons present of course.". She picked up a meat roll, took a bit off of it and popped it into my mouth. "I'm not the only one hungry by the looks of it." She said with a laugh as Wolf appeared, grabbing some food off of the tables to eat.
She looked over to Anass and said, "Nice to meet you Sr. Apprentice Harper Anassa and your dragon, Priath. I'm quite jealous of your title, it'd be pretty fun to have one. Makes you seem important, which you are actually since you're a Sr. Apprentice Harper. My mom wanted to be a Harper, but it didn't work out.". "Point is though, to my rambling, is it's nice to meet you. But that's really not a point. Oh, right. I'm Akki, rider of blue Ebbeth. I'd introduce you, but he's too big in girth to fit in here." Akki said with a wink and a grin.
The blue rider looked over at R'xis and said, "You know I had to do it right? You don't blame me do you?" before falling silent again. She really didn't know what to say, if he really wanted to talk to her right now. She fidgeted for a moment uncomfortably, it was the first time she could remember feeling like this. Normally she had something to say for everything and here she was, out of things to say. "If I knocked over this table of food, do you think the dragons and people will fight each other in order to get at it? I mean, if they were really hungry enough. I think the dragons would win, they have sharper teeth. And they could probably get away with snapping at a human, I don't think a human would get away if they were caught gnawing on a dragonet. That's a theory of mine, if it can be called a theory.".

Wolf glanced over at Rimith as she was fed by Hasima. May I suggest the meatrolls? Serinth sent to Rimith, chuckling. Wolf grabbed a piece of sweetbread for herself, then tossed one to Serinth, who wolfed it down hungrily. "Dragonet's sure do eat a lot" Wolf sighed, wondering if there'd even be enough food when Serinth was done.
Wolf looked over to R'xis, he still hadn't greeted her. Oh well, he hadn't really greeted anyone but Akki. Due to the circumstances he was presently under she wouldn't blame him this one time. Wolf closed her eyes over as she chewed the bread. "Wow, talk about good food." Serinth demanded more of the good bread now, so Wolf obeyed. Wolf tossed her a second piece of the bread, watching as it disappeared just as quickly.
We are fairing well, thank-you very much for asking Ersith. I am Serinth, my Rider is Wolf. I've been wanting to meet you since, yes, our Rider's are siblings. I feel that your right, they are probably close due to there blood relation. Of course they resemble eachohter in many ways too. Serinth smiled at the Brown, her tail gently swaying behind her form. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis let Akki babble after her silence, never having really seen her silent like she just had been moments ago. He waited until after she was done to talk. For her benefit he commented on her babble/rant. "I'm not too sure how that'd go over. It'd look pretty awkward though, I have to admit, to see the people chewing on the dragonets. Gory..." He stuck his tongue out of his mouth in disgust, laughing at there unique conversation. "I don't blame you Akki, you did what you felt was right. It doesn't change how I feel about you, ever." He put a hand on her shoulder, frowning depressingly. He felt the depression becoming him. "Hey, do you want to head off to the lake after or something, to hang out?" he asked, holding his breath as he waited for her to reply. They were friends, and friends hung out...
Ersith crooned to Serinth as she spoke the words that had come into her head. I assuredly agree with you. Mine is currently talking to the Bluerider, I figured I'd give them some space. Ersith began to feel somewhat jealous, it being the natural tendency of young dragonet's. The Brown pushed it from her mind, knowing how important it was for R'xis to get through the ordeal between Akki and him.
"I'm really hoping you say yes," he added as he breathed out. He couldn't have her say no, but the possibility was still there! "It's just that... I figured it'd be a lot of fun. I know how much you like hanging out at the lake, and it is where we first really met. It's a special place, for us as friend's." He was intensely nervous, trying to plan a way to react if she did say no.

Rimith crooned happily at Serinth's suggestion and nudged Hasima's leg, opening her mouth. I will take you up on your suggestion. Rimith said to the gold as she watched Hasima pick up a meat roll, take off a bit and pass it down to the yellow. Rimith snatched it up happily, chewing on it, crooning her opinion. Hasima nodded and admitted with a weak smile, "I don't think I want to imagine how much they will eat when they are grown.". Hasima nodded, silently agreeing that the table was indeed filled with good food.
Akki had never really been aware of the fact she babbled about nothing before that. She didn't like the feeling of not knowing what to say, it made her feel vulnerable and open. She always had something to say before this, and right then she had ran out of words, like her mind stopped working. She hoped it would never happen again, she liked having something to say for every occasion. "Yeah, it probably wouldn't go over well. I don't think dragons would taste too good though. I mean, unless they were stuff with meat roll goodness, then they might. But still." She admitted, scrunching up her face in disgust at the thought of eating Ebbeth. She didn't reply when he said it wasn't her fault, but just offered him a weak and small smile.
Akki fell silent for a moment, thinking about his invitation. Was it really the right thing to do, to accept? Or should she decline, maybe tell him they needed a break, to think things through to see if they wanted to continue on from where they would leave off when Ersith was mature. "If I'm not too tired, I'll go with you to the lake." Akki said, deciding she could decline if she felt that it was the right thing to do. "Ebbeth will probably come along, you know how he hates being left behind and at least that way he can properly meat Ersith. He's been wanting to, you know." Akki said, thinking of her blue.
"Ha, who's rambling now R'xis? Calm down, kid, just calm down." Akki said with a wink. "However, I've been hogging you all night you realize. Ersith and Wolf probably hate me right now for doing so, and are probably plotting together to eat me. So, I'm going to drag you over there so you can be shared." Akki pointed out, hooking arms with the boy as she directed him towards where Anassa, Wolf, Hasima and all the dragonets stood.
"Guess who I found?" Akki said as she placed R'xis in front of Wolf as she grinned. "I've been keeping him all to myself all night, haven't I? I'm really bad at sharing, this is a sacrifice for me you know. But I have a feeling I'll be beaten up if I don't share." Akki sniffed, winking at Hasima as she unhooked arms with R'xis and turned to the table of food, popping a sweet roll into her mouth. You lead an...interesting life, did you know that? Ebbeth chuckled darkly.

Anassa laughed when her arm was hooked by Wolf and she hurried to keep up. Her family grinned as she passed their table. She would have time to speak with them later. Priath followed at a slightly slower pace because she did not want to mar her hide by gallivanting all over the place.
Anassa took a sweetroll as well, not caring that she would probably spoil her dinner. She laughed. "From what I hear, dragons eat, sleep, and demand to be bathed and oiled for most of the first Turn of their lives."
Anassa smiled at the bluerider. "I want to go for my Master's knots but I know with Priath that it will take longer. I don't mind though. Maybe one day I can sing with the Weyr Harper. I love music but I wouldn't trade Priath for any title. It is a pleasure to meet you Akki of blue Ebbeth. Priath and I send my regards to your dragon."
Priath saw the other dragonets eating and voiced her own hunger. "Great, now Priath is complaining for food as well."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rhia turned to check on some of her charges and spotted a group talking with Akki. She hurriedly excused herself from the parent she had been talking to and swept her skirts up so she could hurry to the tables.
"Hello my darlings. I saw that you were feeding your dragons from the tables. Meatrolls are ok occasionally but too much human food will give them a stomachache. Normally meatrolls are fine but these are spiced more for the Feast and will upset their stomachs. We have fresh meat waiting for them in the kitchens if they are hungry again. Just don't feed them too much because they will want to sleep again."
She smiled and gestured to a drudge. The drudge vanished into the crowd and then reappeared with a tray full of bowls. The bowls had snack-sized gobblets of meat. Rhia's little flitt Gylfie appeared over her head, chittering with hunger.
"It seems that your dragonets aren't the only ones that are hungry." The brownrider selected a bowl of smaller pieces and began feeding the silvery-green flitt small pieces. The flitt chirped her satisfaction and then went to inspect the new dragonets.
