C'adyn had to stifle a chuckle as Hith rose from laying on the ground to standing and Lanvon's arms immediately clamped around his waist. If just standing up got to the other man that much he couldn't imagine what the actual flying part would do.
When Lanvon released his death grip on C'adyn's waist and apologized C'adyn -did- laugh. "Why are you apologizing Lanvon? Just put your arms back where they were and hold on tight because I'm going to give Hith the signal to take off."
That said, he waited until Lanvon's arms were once again wrapped around his waist and then C'adyn told Hith aloud so Lanvon would be prepared, "Up we go Hith, nice and easy please." Then he patted the blue's shoulder and waited for the bunching of muscles that would launch them skyward.

When told to put his arms back around C'adyn's waist, Lanvon blushed even harder, then did so tentatively. His grip wasn't what it had been, but looser, as he was hesitant to touch this bluerider. He dared to look down, and his grip involuntarily tightened just a little. He hoped C'adyn didn't notice. He was so high! And he was about to be launched higher. He swallowed with difficulty and wondered for a moment why he'd even agreed to this craziness.
He heard C'adyn tell Hith to launch them, and that was it for his control over his grip: his muscular arms and hands clamped down on the bluerider's middle, (hopefully) securing his place on the dragon's back. He tensed, waiting for it.

He couldn't stop smiling at poor Lanvon's expense. He was finding it rather a shocker that the man was, apparently, so nervous about flying. When Hith's body tensed and finally released, shooting them into the air, C'adyn took a deep breath with the excitement. Only when Hith went into a lazy circular pattern above the Weyr did C'adyn turn to ask Lanvon, "You gonna make it?" There was a big smile on his face and his tone was teasing in hopes of getting rid of some of Lanvon's uneasiness.
As he waited for the other man to answer him, C'adyn just watched the man's face and body language. C'adyn hoped he was reading him right and that Lanvon wasn't about to pass out and let go of his waist. He didn't know why he cared so much about this stranger but C'adyn just wanted to show Lanvon all the sights, let him feel the wonder of flying, and show him a better life than the one he'd known growing up. Something about the man just pulled at his heartstrings and he wasn't one to ignore that.

Despite how tensed he was, Lanvon's neck still snapped back when Hith pushed off the ground. His stomach seemed to stay on the ground for a moment before catapulting back up to his abdomen, where it belonged. Hith winged higher and Lanvon didn't dare look directly down this time; instead he looked out across the landscape, but he still understood how high they were. He kept his grip secure around C'adyn's waist and reminded himself to breathe.
When the bluerider turned and grinned, asking if he was going to make it, the corner of Lanvon's mouth turned up but he was still a bit too nervous to full-out smile. "Yeah, I think so," he said breathily, afraid to breathe too deep or move too much in case he fell. He resisted the urge to bury his face in the rider's shoulder so he didn't see how high they were anymore, partly because he knew not seeing his surroundings would just make him more nervous. He would be able to feel how high they were.
