Kylath grinned when Rhia stood up for her. She could not yet fly- she wanted to feel useful. To Nira's word she moved to the corner but kept a carefull eye. [shadow=red,left,300]Kaith- Rhia is in pain sometimes and she is holding on G'han and Nike right now.[/shadow]

[Spirithawk]

So G'han has returned. Good. Now Rhia and Mneith can stop fretting about that. Those two worry too much. Kaith relayed the news to her rider, who was sitting up in bed feeding her own child. I hope that Rhia's little ones do not make as much noise as the child of my chosen does. Kaith said with resignation. Keep me posted little one.

[Tenma]

"Thankyou Kaith." Nira smiled and scratched the coppers eyeridge before leaving the room to get a cloth. She came back a minute later holding a pure white cloth. It looked brand new and was a rectangle the size of a piece of paper. ((I know they don't have paper in Pern, they have parchment, but I am using it as a comparison.))

"Here you go Rhia." Nira siad as she handed the cloth over to the labored woman. "Do you need anything else, Rhia, G'han, Nike...Kylath?" She added the last name after a moments pause but realized that the copper was in the room and would apparently not leave for anything so she could get the dragon something. Her instincts to help were similar to Kylath's but not as strong, and she would not be stubborn about it.

"Shall we go." Jakel asked after Kylath had given Akki instructions. He bowed and placed his hand out front to show that she should go first. He could not help but laugh as he faked manners.

[Dragon]

"If you don't mind Nira. Could you get me some hot klah. That would be much appreciated", he said to her. He looked over to Nike, "I would like it if Nira could stay with us. She can be very helpful. She has been this whole time. That is if she wants to stay and help". He looked at the two and waited for their answer.

[nike]

Nike looked around and sighed.
"Alright. You guys can stay, just keep out of our way."
She said, then turned to Rhia. "They are getting closer together. Get her back to the bed.
I need to do another check." The healer's face didn't have a smile on it. Oddly.

[Tenma]

"Thankyou." Nira said gratefully before she left to get the Klah. She was very worried while Christae was stuck in bed, and she didn't know why. She felt that she had to help take Christae's place. SHe had to make sure everything went in order and that nothing went wrong, yet she didn't want to intrude on anything.

She came back with the Klah and handed it to G'han ."There you go." Nira smiled. She moved off next to the wall and stood next to Kylath until they needed her once more.

You are doing a very good job mine. YOu would make a good Weyrwoman if I were a queen. Siarath told Nira.

~Well for one thing I don't want to be a weyrwoman. You know I would go insane with panic and worry. Secondly, I don't want you to be a gold I like my Siarath as a big ol' green.~ Nira replied with a smile.

Siarath crooned affectionately.

[Akki]

"But of course."She said with a grin as she stepped in front of Jakel and led the way happily, before turning and asking "Want me to carry something?". [glow=blue,2,300]He is a candidate right?[/glow] Ebbeth asked, not completely sure. Yes, that's why we are going to the candidate barracks Ebbeth you silly lump of hide. Ebbeth chuckled slightly before closing his eyes. "What time did you get here? I mean, I know today so I should change that. How long have you been wandering about?" She asked, curious.

Rhia listened to the conversations with a small smile. She was amused for some strange reason. She was in pain every few minutes and there was a chance that the birth could go horribly wrong, yet she was amused.

She accepted the cloth from Nira. "Thank you Nira." She frowned. The cloth would be bloody by the time she was through with it because he lip was still bleeding. She thought about just bearing with the pain but when the next contraction hit she thrust the towel into her mouth and bit down.

She noticed the lack of a smile on her friend's face. "Nike, is something wrong?" She hoped that the healer was just being serious and not that something was wrong.

[Tenma]

"I got it, it is only one bag. Not that long. I was just looking at the weyr for about a minute before I heard dragons complaining and people rushing to that woman's room." Jakel explained.

He opened his mouth say more but closed it again. He was about to mention why he came at this time of night, but he didn't really talking about his father. He had a sore spot when it ca,e to discussing his father, the same problem his father had with his mother.

[Akki]

"Yeah, you might of came at the worst time possible."Akki laughed happily. It must have been awkward for him, coming into a new place only to have frantic people darting around and dragon becoming anxious. One question burned in her mind, why did he come at night? Normally the candidates came earlier, but she shrugged. She wasn't the one to go into peoples personal life. Who was she kidding? Of course she was.

[Dragon]

At Rhia's words G'han looked worriedly at Nike. He hoped nothing would be wrong with Rhia. The thought of losing her would kill him. Do not worry G'han. She will be alright you won't lose her. Gerenanth worried about his rider and thought to himself. He has lost so many people that he has cared or loved. It would crush him if he lost Rhia too. He began to remember the night of the renegade attack and that dark, evil feeling he felt from G'han. He didn't want G'han to be like that again, it scared him.

[Tenma]

"Is something wrong?" Jakel asked Akki. She looked to be very deep in thought and it bothered him.

((Ack, sooo short. It is making me melt. Ahhh))

[Akki]

"Hm?"She said, snapping out of her train of thoughts. She heard Ebbeth snicker and said, "Wrong? With me? Nah, I just have a short attention span. You will see that soon though.". The question was still itching to be asked so she did, "Why are you here so late? Left something behind?".

[Tenma]

Jakel laughed at Akki's reply but stopped when her question excaped her lips. He rubbed his already messy brown hair. Once at his barracks he placed the bag down and asked AKki to sit next to him on the bed. Before waiting he quickly began. "To know that you would have to know a bit about me." He took a deep breath as he began.

"You see, my mother died when I was born so I never met nher. Some might get the impression that that would mean that it was me and my dad, and we had a strong relationship since my mother is gone, but that isn't true. My father is a fisher and spends most of his time at sea. I am normally a lone in the house, and when I go out there are only mostly woman for most of the men are fishing. Anyways, back to your question, when the searchrider came my father was out and I convinced the searchrider to wait a bbit longer but my father was apparently not planned to come home that day. I waited as long as I could but the searchrider finally forced me to come back, and by the time this happened..well, it is late." He sighed.

"I would preffer if you didn't tell everyone. My father is sort of a sore spot with me." He said, his eyes looking at AKki hopefully.

Suddenly he stood up and smiled. "Are you tired?" He asked, as if nothing had happened, and his father never even came to his thought. His eyes were wide open and filed with excitment.

[Akki]

She sat down next time to her and listened quietly through his story. How could it be possible that two people had a past so alike when they had just met?

"My past was of the same way, actually. My mother died so it was just my father, my brother and I. My father never smiled or anything and would get mad if we did, said it was a dishonour to be happy when my mother was gone. My brother was lucky for he left and Impressed a lovely brown named Prirth who I have failed to meet but have heard of once since I have not seen my brother since he left. A while after Sargon joined me and we came here where I Impressed Ebbeth, who eventually you will probably have the misfortune of meeting." She said, finishing with a wink.

"No need to worry, I won't tell everybody. I believe they have enough things happening now." She said, laughing slightly. She looked at Jakel, and answered his question, "Yes and no. I am because Ebbeth woke me up in the middle of the night because of Mneith and Rhia, but I won't fall asleep until I know what happeneds.".

[Tenma]

"Well then lets not sit around here and mourn." Jakel stood up with a smile spread across his face. "Where is a place in this tiny weyr that we can have some fun." Jakel laughed rubbing his messy brown hair, once again.

[Akki]

"Fun? That's a good question, considering it's pretty late. Hmm..."She said, trying to think of a spot. Where was a good place to have fun? Probably where her friends were. "We could try and bribe Kia to do something with us. She's the on with the copper, Kylath." She said with a smile. Yes, things were definitly...different with Kia.

[Tenma]

"The copper. That was one sharding interesting dragon." He stated thoughtfully as he walked over to his door. "Why not." He said in a fake bow and bringing his hand out in front, like before, shewing her to go first. One reason because he didn't know where to go. But Jakel couldn't stay serious. He brust out laughing but luckily didn't fall over.

[Miki]

Kia tried to sleep but pesky Tokagae woke her again. She sat up and rubbed her eyes. she felt so bad, falling asleep while a woman was in labor. She walked from her Weyr and decided to acquaint herself with the new Candidate she had seen with Akki, She hadn't really given him a thought then. She figured all had been forced from Rhia's Weyr so she decided to first look in the Candidate's Barracks. She slowly walked in but stopped before Akki and Jakel could see her. She quietly listened to the story of both. She had never known that about Akki. It was interesting that they were so alike. It normally seemed nobody was alike her- almost always. Kia was always the oddball out unless she acted completely insane in which case she would still be the oddball out but people would find her funny and still like her. Here, though, it seemed everyone was much more interested in being with Akki. She was confident if she mellowed out a bit she would not have as many friends so subconciouslly she was competeing with Akki and she hated that. Akki was one of her friends but she could help it. besides, with Akki and R'dan it was bound to be different. It /would/ be different when they all sat togeth and Akki and R'dan would cuddle together while she watched apart from them. She swalowed hard- best not to think of things like that She would, instead, make herself known and would be as crazy as possible because she couldn't help it. It was a deperate fight for friends, a desperate fight for companionship, and a desperate fight to not be alone.

Kia walked into the room as if she were high and mighty. "hello," she said slowly, clearly, and regally. "/I/ am Kia of copper Kylath, as you should know, and I am the most respected person in the Weyr other than the Weyrwoman." She tried to keep her face composed and her lips out and her shin up but she filled with laughter and started giggling herself out of the pose she stood in. Her hands had been on her hips with her back straight and her hips pushed forwards.

Kylath watched carefully. [shadow=red,left,300]This is not the most important but G'han got something and Nira is staying and... Nike is doing another check on Rhia.[/shadow]

[Akki]

Akki snorted and walked by him, but not before curtseying goofily. "Kylath gets more interesting every day."Akki said with a grin. [glow=blue,2,300]Am I more interesting everyday?[/glow] Ebbeth asked curiously. If interesting means lazy, then yes Akki said back. Ebbeth sniffed and said, [glow=blue,2,300]Why don't you two visit me? Am I not interesting?[/glow] Akki grinned to herself, leaving the question hanging in the air. [glow=blue,2,300]Thanks[/glow] Ebbeth replied sarcastically.

Akki clutched her heart when Kia appeared and gasp, "Shards Kia! Can you be any sneakier. I think I just died!".
