Didn't I tell you he wouldn't be mad Mine? Mneith spoke. His mental voice was amused. I am excited. There will be a little Mine running around. When will it hatch?
"Mneith, babies don't hatch. It seems that all the dragons think that babies hatch just because dragons hatch."
Whers and little dragons hatch too.
"I know Mneith, but humans are different." There was amusement in the brownrider's voice.

Gerenanth stood proud. Even I knew that they didn't hatch Mneith. "Gerenanth you just now knew that. I had to explain it to you as we came in", he said for all to hear. The dragon grumbled but didn't say anything. "You little upstart", G'han finished with a smirk.

Rhia laughed. "Ok well, I am going down to eat. Then it's time for a bath and bed. I am tired."

"I will join you then. Er.............. for eating I mean", G'han said correcting himself at the end. He followed Rhia down to get something to eat. He kissed her on the cheek as he let her go.

Rhia laughed. "You can join me if you want." She kissed his cheek and then ran lightly down the stairs. She made quick work of roast wherry, tubbers and rolls. She also ate a small bubbly pie that the cooks had made in honor of the announcement for the two women. She then returned to their weyr and gathered her things to bathe. "Don't let me fall asleep." She told her weyrmate.

G'han looked confused and said, "Join you bathing". If so that was perhaps a first for her. He walked with her to eat then followed her back to the weyr.

She laughed. "It's not like you haven't seen any of that." She stuck her tongue out at him and walked into the bathing room. She stripped and emersed herself in water. She hurriedly washed, not wanting to fall asleep in the warm water. She got out and ran to grab her towel and robe. Winter had fully set in and the days were almost as cold as the night. Rhia kept a brazier burning with coals all night. Now she also added a fire in their hearth to keep them warm. She had extra furs and sometimes they still woke up cold.

G'han laughed. He joined her for a bath. He went up and tickled her as she was getting in the water. He got in and washed as well, just as quickly. When she got out of the water he slapped her on the butt and stuck his tongue out at her as he went to go dry off and get into some clothes to sleep in. He changed and said a good night to Mneith and Gerenanth.

She turned and punched him in the shoulder when he slapped her butt. She dried off quickly and wrapped a towel around her wet hair. She changed into night clothes and went to scratch Mneith's eye ridges. She told him goodnight and walked over to Gerenanth, scratching the bronze's eye ridges as well.
"Goodnight guys." She walked over to their bed and slid beneath the covers. Rhia waited for him to come to bed, snuggling under the sleeping furs for warmth.

He smiled at her when she punched him and slid under the covers with her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her to him. "Now what was the punch for", he said with a laugh.

"Oh I am sorry and I imagine it really hurt seeing as how you had nothing to cover it and you were still wet", he said with a grin. "You are warm too let's warm each other up", he said.

She stuck her tongue out at him. "I will remember that next time YOUR bare bottom is wet. Just for that I think I will sleep on the other side of the bed." Her voice was amused. She scooted off to the side, taking her furs with her.

G'han sighed and and laid face up. He looked over to her and smiled then closed his eyes. Sleep would soon overtake him.

"What was that for", G'han said shooting up in suprise. He had almost fallen asleep when she did that.

"Oh but I thought you were mad at me for slapping your bare, wet bottom", he said to her. He pulled her close and held her as he began to fall asleep again.

She laughed. "Maybe a little." She snuggled close and fell fast asleep, safely tucked into his warm embrace.

He smiled and fell asleep with her in his arms. He rested his head on her as he fell in a deeper sleep.
