"I'm not up for the challenge though!"Akki said as a giggle escaped from her. She wanted to think of a contest that would involve everyone and wouldn't allow anyone to have a handicap, which was quite hard because she didn't know the strengths and weaknesses of everyone.

G'han tried to think of a contest, but none really came to mind. He wanted to join in, he loved contests.

Rhia chuckled. "I'd say we could have a musical contest, but our Weyrsinger here would beat all of us. We could have a competition with the dragons but that leaves the Candidates and Weyrfolk out of it and considering that our dragons each have different strengths and weaknesses that would be unfair as well. A green can't keep up with a bronze, just like a bronze isn't as nimble as a green."
"I'll join if you can think of one. Races normally don't do very well for us."
A bell chimed and several drudges entered, carrying trays of roast tubbers, wherry, roast herdbeast and several other trays of delicious smelling food.

Gerenanth snorted, I am very nimble. ~I know but you are definently no green. You are nimble for a bronze though~, he said to his dragon. "Hm since any contest can play on one of our strengths or weaknesses how about a series of contests. The one with the most wins........wins", he said. "That's the best I could come up with but it sounded fairly reasonable to me", he said unsure of his suggestion.

Sh'iron listedn then an idea came to mind. "Dragon Poker." THe Weyrleader said.
He was from Benden, and ALL Bendens know how to play Dragon Poker better than everyone, well Britans are close up there.
"How about it?" He grinned.

"I want to learn too", G'han said. The blue tried once again to fly, flying towards a piece of meat on G'han's plate. The blue almost made it their but fell right before it and G'han caught the little flitt and placed him near the food to eat.

Daran looked at G'han's struggling blue. Suni followe dsuit and also tried to fly but this time as he took off her brushed hiw wing on Daran's neck and tumbled down into Daran's hands. He put the little flitt on the table and got some meat for him.

Gylfie lifted her head, and chirped. The little flitt flew from her mistress's arm and hopped about on the table.
Birinj chittered at the silvery green. Christae laughed. The bronze leapt from the Weyrwoman's shoulder, chittering even more. He landed near the green flitt and tried to bully her.
"No Birinj, be nice." The flitt looked about as chagrined as he could and then nuzzled Rhia's flitt. Rhia watched, amused. Gylfie hopped away from the bronze and begged food from her bonded. Birinj begged as well. Rhia laughed and fed both of the flitts.

"Shame on you Christae." The brownrider said. "Neglecting to feed your flitt like that." She laughed at the mock glare Christae gave her.

Miya thnought for a moment. "No it doesn't make sense." She replied as plainly as ever. Her two flitts awoke and hobbled over to eat the food that Miya was feeding them. Karie chirpped at Tonu when the brown tried to eat her food. He wearily backed away from the green and ate only his own food.

Lina flew onto the table hobbping from one end to the other. Everytime a firelizard got out order she would cherp angrily till it was fixed. Nira began to laugh. She could even hear Siarath's laughs echoing throughout her mind.

I just meant, take part"Akki said as she waved her hand in the air carelessly before Sargon shifted and lifted his head before shaking it, in order to get rid of the sleep that claimed him moments before. Intrigued by the other flitts, even though they were not the same age, he flew down onto the table and hobbled over to Akki but continued to watched the others.

“I liked G’han’s idea but dragon poker sounds good. I don’t know how to play either but I’d like to learn.” R’dan said. Truth be told he wouldn’t have minded a musical contest, he was sure he hadn’t forgotten what he had learned at Harper Hall. But if it was to be dragon poker the brown rider hoped it would be a pretty easy game to learn since so many people didn’t know how to play.

“I’ll watch you guys play dragon poker. I’ll make sure no one cheats.” Breckin said with a grin. He had seen Akki’s ‘I told you so’ look but decided to ignore it, at least she hadn’t said it out loud.
