The dragon passed on with out a second look. Tali looked up at Rogin with big eyes and gulped. She was scared. Old feelings came back of her father, hiding from him. She looked at Rogin again and closed her eyes. She sighed.

"Is it gone?" she whispered.

Rogin put his hand over her mouth. He didn't want any talking when one was around. He looked at Veran and then at Konta. They also kept quiet. Spike went out of the cave and began looking for it's larger cousin. If it was still there He would know.

Tali stayed silent. She gulped again and knelt down. She had done this before but not with Rogin. She always came out at the wrong time. She never in her life had she hid from them before. It was a big deal. She looked at Rogin. He knew what he was doing. She thought it was good that someone knew what they were doing.

When she saw it, she wanted to run, like now....but she didn't. It was in her nature to run, she ran away from everything. She was a coward and she knew it. Tali felt she wasn't brave enough but could it be possible that He saw something in her that she didn't? She had low self-esteem and didn't think much of herself.

It was that moment that she realized that the past can't be changed and to live in the now. She had forgotten about her mother. It hurt her to think that her own mother didn't come for her. But when that time came...would she want to leave? She tried to escape once before and that didn't pan out.

Spike continued to look and when he was sure the dragon was gone he reported to Rogin. Rogin nodded and Konta and Veran began to uncover the cave. Some began getting back to work. Rogin went outside and began looking around.

Tali saw Rogin go outside but was safe, yet? She didn't know. She was extra cautious. She she even drew her knife. She stood. Quynn was behind her and he took her from behind. He put his hand on her mouth and dragged her deeper into the cave. She got half of His name out then the rest was muffle due to his hand.

"Shut up!" Quynn had said. She swung her knife around and Quynn had blocked it. He grinned. "I like you, Tali and I am going to show you just show much!" Tali's eyes got big. He started to undo his trousers. She screamed.

Two low growls emanated from the shadows. One from a feral animal, the other a bestial man. Two knives poised to strike. One on the throat of Quynn and the other at his stomach. "Try it and I will have you gutted." He said. Ferik growled and grew closer. To make matters worse for the boy, evil eyes began drawing closer to them. "Tell me boy. What in your mind makes you think I would allow such a thing?" The voice was deep and menacing. A mountain of a man appeared behind the owner of the voice. Veran was the knives, Rogin the voice and eyes in front. Konta behind Rogin. Konta moved forward and took Talavi from Quynn. "I have you." His deep voice said softly. Konta walked away carrying her with him. For some reason Konta had taking a protective role when it came to the girls. He didn't want them hurt. not because he didn't think they couldn't handle their own. Only because he cared for them.

Quynn wide eyed, gulped. He was taken by surprise, a rude awakening as it were.

"I-I- uh...I-" he was so scared that he couldn't talk. This wasn't like the fist meeting with Rogin. It was different. This time, Veran had him. The feeling was feeling was different as well. Quynn felt terrifyed, that his death was soon to come. He was scared to move. He even urinated in his trousers!

Tali jumped when Konta grabbed her, it was an initial reaction. Then she heard Konta's deep, soothing voice. She relaxed a bit. She put her head on his shoulder and held on.

Quynn tried again at talking. "I-I----uh......" he did a nervous chortle. Sweat began to form on his head and he looked down. He saw another knife down by his stomache. He was shaking like a leaf on a windy day. "Oh." he said and did a another nervous chortle and smiled nervously.

"Oh, Faranath! I'm gonna die!" he almost squeaked it. It was quite comical.

Rogin looked at him, "Yes you are. Now if you are smart you will tell me why you decide to attack me, Injure Tali, and now try to take her. Even if she hasn't earned her name back yet we take Females as family under any circumstance. You are not a smart boy." Veran chuckled, "He wet himself boss." he said. Veran laughed a twisted laugh.

"I-I al-already told you why I attacked you. You are an easy target. I take what I want and I want Tali, as you call her. Then that other b* took the arrow. You know what? I'll put an arrow through her too." his voice had a tinge of venegance to it. "Then, I might kill you three and take over."

Quynn was /really/ asking for it. He was so arrogant. Even in impossible to get out of situations, he was an ignorant fool. No one played Tali like that. She wouldn't hurt another family member unless threatened and Talavi was threatened big time!

He was over confident as well. That was his mistake. Quynn knew it but he didn't care. He was a little young to have intercourse anyway but again, he didn't care.

Rogin looked at the others then at the boy. He looked into his eyes. "Alright then. Try to take them from me." he said. Veran released the boy and handed him a knife. "Be careful." he said. "You think I scare you. He terrifies me." Veran moved away quickly. He didn't want to be close. Rogin looked Quynn. "Well now tough guy. You have a knife. Let's see just how easy of a target I really am."

"You say you didn't rape my mother. I think your lying!" Quynn looked Him over. "You don't look like much. This is going to be an easy kill." He said. He charged, a full blown forward attack. Not smart. He tried to knock Rogin down. He tried to cut Him.

Rogin smiled. He grabbed the boys hand and kicked him with a boot to the face. His eyes began moving quickly. He was always working on plans. Rogin moved to the boy after the kick and moved behind to begin choking the boy with an arm around the neck. He was small and the cloths he wears betrays his build. He was pure muscle. The quickly building pressure on the neck was like a boulder being dropped on a leg, no resistance.

Quynn was shocked that it wasn't as easy as he thought it would be. A kick to the face sent the boy sailing across the room and into the cave hard, very hard. He didn't have a chance to react when the second attack came. He had him by the throat once more, this time with His arm. He was losing air fast.

"Okay...." he sounded winded and was suffocating "You aren't as easy as I thought." he coughed and gasping for air, fear in his eyes. "And Tali, Tali..." He urinated again. "I'll stop! I'll stop!"

Quynn talked big but didn't have the action to back it up. He tried to slice his face.

Rogin caught his arm, mid attack and chuckled. He pushed the boy away from him. "You are pathetic. And what made you think I was easy. My own men fear me. The one that made you wet yourself is terrified of me. Do you think it is not without reason? They know what I can do. And they know how I get. And for Shard sake stop wetting yourself. If you attack me then do so as a man. Not a frightened little boy or you will die. Tali what do you think I should do with him?" he asked.

"You are an idiot, boy! Only a fool world attack unarmed." A cold female voice came from the shadows. She had been there for quiet some time. Watching and waiting. She approached. She was different somehow. More cold and unforgiving than when she first came to be with Rogin.

"I say we kill the little coward. We have no use for them. He might serve well as a toy." she sneered. "He is fun to play with, Father." she chuckled. Her eyes just as ice cold as her voice. "Make him suffer . That wasn't very nice of you, trying to force yourself on me. You made us /really/ angry at you. I don't need my knives to know that you are going to die, eventually if you don't measure up. I am going through what you are but watching you suceed might be our downfall. Show this little brat the way we do things around here. No mercy here, boy. If you cry for mercy then they we just bring pain upon your body."

Quynn gulped as she approached him. Her eyes were burning with hatred. She rolled her eyes and sighed. She grabbed him up by the scuff of his tunic and pulled him close, nose to nose. "Fear us, boy!" her voice was grovely. She dropped him and he started to get up. "Nah-uh." She swept his ankle. "Don't move until I -say- you can!"

"I'm not afraid." he said.

"Oh no? Your eyes give you away." She laughed. She rammed him against the wall. "I will kill you if you try that again! Mark my words." She lifted him up 3 feet and punched him out cold.
"Deal with him, I can not. If I do, there will be nothing left. Just make him suffer." With she left.

Rogin smiled. "Veran he is all yours. Use him as a teaching tool." Rogin looked from Veran to Tia, "That is if your student still wants to learn. I have heard her wants. I see no reason why not." Veran smiled and looked at Tia, "Shall we go then?" he asked her. Veran grabbed the boy and carried him to his room where he tied him to the wall.

Tia smiled. "You will not be disappointed, Father. I still want to learn. Stepping stones, Rogin. Stepping stones to learning to the road to success." She kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you." She followed Veran into his room.

"What shall we learn today, Master Veran?" she asked.

Veran smiled, "We shall learn how stabbing isn't the best way to torture unless you know where to stab. But I warn you if you practice wrong then the correct way will be shown on your body."

"I want to learn from you and I will do whatever it takes." Tia said, determined. "Please show me. I am ready."

Veran nodded and got to work. He made sure she understood everything. He worked slow on Quynn and evern had her pratice.
