Andilay shrugged. "I like doing thing with my hands... It helps me think or just pass time. It does bring in some marks though. If you are good at something, and really enjoy it, it shows in the work. My patrons notice that." A half smile tugged at her mouth and she lightly brushed at her pants before looking outside. She knew she was good at it, it was just... embarrassment about mentioning so. She felt that if she boasted about something that came so naturally to her, the gift might go away.
When the flitt popped out of the air Andilay jumped in her seat and half drew a dagger. "Ah! That little flitter gave me a fright. I don't like being surprised, and it's really not wise to do so to someone whose first reaction is to draw steel... but I suppose it is in ..his? Nature to come and go whenever he pleases."
"Rayn wants one of them. She thinks they are adorable and hopes I'll acquire one here as well." Andilay sighed at the thought. More mouths to feed... as if funds weren't tight already.

[For the record, I'd been waiting for Panther and/or Akki to do something so K'ris can hear something while he's talking to Andilay...otherwise they're going to run out of conversation topics very quickly xD; I'll throw in something quick while I'm here though.]
K'ris sat up a bit straighter on an instinctive reaction when Andilay startled and reached for her dagger, but he relaxed afterwards, clearly not worried that she was going to attack him or either of his bondeds. Queroth hadn't been worried about her attacking at all, and was still looking towards the end of the hallway where the faint sound of voices could be heard echoing from somewhere further along.
"Sorry about that," K'ris said, reaching up and running a finger along the firelizard's neck. "You're right though, he never really gives warning, I guess I just got used to it." The blond shrugged, using one hand to pet the kitten, one to give the firelizard attention. "His name's Twil," he offered. He shrugged then. "I didn't really go out with the intention of getting him or anything, one of my friends - she's ah...transferred or something - had a gold with a clutch, and I ended up with him that way."

((*whistles innocently* Sorry!! I’m like … I covers Kalyr, and Q’sin, and Dan, and Ez, and Y’rael… and Hester! All done naoooo <3 nope… bad panther =( sorry guys I suck … lots… of.. bad stuff))
‘Jormir’ looked down one of the side corridors, he paused, stpping his walk beside her and looked, puzzled down the corridor. “Uhm, what’s down there? I swear I just seen someone… down there… I don’t suppose there’s I don’t know something of interest down there is there?” He questioned, outright ignoring the conversation they had been, but that was what one did when they were surprised, was it not? He smirked inwardly, hoping this would snatch her attentions away from going down towards the barracks. He really didn’t care for that. And above all, he didn’t want to get too close to the place.
It would make him easier to find, the more he could divert off of the beaten Weyr tracks, the better. He sighed, and began to stroll off, looking down the dimly lit corridor, curiosity shown on his face, even if his mind didn’t concern with it. He just wanted that prissy little thing down that corridor and away from the path she was meant to be taking, and then. Then he’d strike.

Hasima peered down the side corridor. She hadn’t seen anyone, not a hint of movement or anything. But this was Hasima, she always assumed she was wrong and the other person was right. Which meant clearly someone was down there, just like Jormir said. “I’m not really sure what’s down there.” Hasima admitted with a blush. She was silently cursing herself. She should know, she was a rider of Dark Moon Weyr and she couldn’t even give a proper tour to a stranger! How embarrassing.
She felt horribly guilty now, for not knowing the answer. She’d have to make it up to him. “We can check though, if you’d like.” She offered with a small smile. She was pretty sure she already knew what his reply would be; therefore there wasn’t much of a point for waiting for his words. She turned, leaving the corridor they were on and walking down the side one. She was too naïve to think that Jormir would have any bad intentions. In her mind, he was just an unfortunate soul who was stuck here with a sense of curiosity. Nothing odd about that. She took a fair number of steps, before looking at the man. “I don’t see anyone, I’m afraid.”

Her caution was admirable, but she’d have to try a little harder to get out of this. “Are you sure? I’m certain I seen some one own here, does the corridor, turn… or lead away?” He looked about and sure enough, there was a door. “Hmmm..,” He said pensively, “I’ll bet they went in there…” he took a tentative step forward, reaching for the door handle slowly, “Oh erm, wait here for a moment, I’ll tell you if it’s safe in a moment.” Of course it would be safe, he wouldn’t have orchestrated it any differently.
He turned the handle and pushed the door open, creeping round. An old store room, convenient much? He smirked wickedly to himself knowing she couldn’t see. “It’s alright. C’mon,” He called to her, strangely disappointed tone to his voice, “And there was me thinking we’d find some lost Weyr treasure, or a criminal trying to escape with it.” He sounded dismayed behind there, he was a fine actor, even if he wasn’t terribly decent at anything else. “But, I guess,” He shrugged to himself looking around the room – it was pretty much empty, kind of dusty too, but that didn’t matter, it worked for what he wanted it for. And that, that was all that mattered.

If Jormir was positive there was someone down there, then Hasima had obviously completely missed seeing them. She put too much trust in others, a fact she would soon learn to regret. “Oh, it’s possible.” She said as he went for the door. Maybe that was why she didn’t see anyone, they had slipped into the room before she could! Well that made perfect sense now. “Yes, of course.” She replied with another soft smile. Well that was awful nice of him, checking out the room beforehand.
She went into the room when beckoned, looking around. There was nothing exciting about this room and there was certainly no one hiding it. She had to wonder where the person went then, if they were not in here. It didn’t even cross her mind to think that Jormir just might be lying. She let a soft laugh escape from her mouth at Jormir’s comments. “Maybe next time you will find the lost Weyr treasure?” She offered as she continued to look around. It was pretty a bare room, a few knick knacks and then layers of dust. But that was really about it.

He smirked before her, backing up against the door, closing it behind him, he couldn’t lock it, which was a shame, but that was neither here nor there at that moment. He looked down on her, wicked smile forced onto those cringe worthy lips. “See, little Hasima, I think I did, I found a treasure anyway. He approached her slowly, using his size (width and height) to his advantage, hand raised to her chin, forcing her to look up at him. “I’d planned for the other one, but you’ll do just fine.” He grinned wickedly, layers of his plans unfolding now. He was happy. Satisfied, but not as satisfied as he was about to be… in about oooh half an hour? He’d savour her a little, as much as he could afford to before he’d flee from the scene of the crime, never to be seen in Southern again. Well, maybe just the weyr, they didn’t have a habit of searching too far for men who were 15 to the dozen common in looks, like he was. What sort of a description would they put out? Middle aged, chubby, balding, about five ten, blue eyes? That summed up half of the men of Pern. They’d never find him. As long as he could get away.

She could hear the door close, but that didn’t send waves of panic over her. She wasn’t sure why he had closed the door but really didn’t think much of it. She probably should have though. The panic built up in her though. She was dumb, yes, but even the dumbest person alive could see what they had just gotten themselves into. The wretched smile on his lips gave everything away. Her skin crawled when his hand touched her chin. She tore her eyes away from Jormir, she wouldn’t look at him. She couldn’t.
Kira? Kira was the target? In a way Hasima was slightly comforted by that news. It meant she had saved Kira in some way, and that made her feel a bit better. She’d rather be in this position then someone else. She forced her eyes to go back on Jormir, trying to memorize his face. It was useless though, Jormir already knew that any description she gave wouldn’t get her anywhere. “There was no other person.” She murmured. She didn’t need any confirmation, she already knew she was tricked.
Her thoughts were going everywhere. Could he feel her racing pulse? What did she look like in his eyes? She was pretty sure she had just gotten paler, something she thought was impossible. Panic was most definitely building up in her, but she couldn’t scream. There was something blocking her voice from coming out it seemed and she had never screamed in her life, soft tones were her thing.
HasimaMine? HasimaMine, is there something wrong? The yellow’s voice was filled with panic as overwhelming emotions came off of her rider. There was no response though, the girl couldn’t even manage to reply. Fear was building up in Rimith and she couldn't do anything about it. She was too large to go down to where Hasima was. Queroth, I think my Mine is in trouble. Can you please check on her with Yours? Her tone was practically begging.
Ooc|| Hopefully that'll get you somewhere Kino8D

[I'm gonna post after dinner, but I gotta ask Akki, safe to say Rimith could have called for help from Queroth, since he's close to where Hasima is? I dunno if dragons can tell where other dragons are or not xD; But if not, then we can say that Queroth mentioned to Rimith that hers was going off with some guy he didn't recognize. Yeah....]

Andilay nodded. "Twil is a nice name. I think it fits him." She looked around her and rubbed her arms.
Andilay fidgeted. She hated this, she was on edge all of a sudden and she didn't know why. Her instincts told her something was wrong, that she needed to go, but, she didn't know to where. Great, couldn't her insticts be more specific? All she knew was something was wrong. Perhaps the weyrling knew something?
"Something is wrong. Can you feel it?"
((Blah. I just hate not saying anything... and Andilay can totally read vibes. She's like a phsycic, except not.. XD ))

[Wow Akki xD I TOTALLY didn't pick up on that. Am I smart or what? K'ris is shaking his head at me. Allright, K'ris will have heard her. I just didn't think of having him hear her because he wasn't in the room with her. The addition is fine though, K'ris'll just end up hearing what she said to Queroth too, and I can have him pick up on the other part you wanted him to pick up on too, that should fit in.]
Even as Andilay was telling K'ris that the name he'd given his firelizard fit him, the expression on his face had turned from the easy-going one he'd had on before. Usually he would filter out the conversations sending near enough for him to hear from other dragons because he didn't want to intrude on anything that was being talked about, and even then any dragon but Queroth had to be near enough for him to even pick up on what they were saying. Rimith must have been closer than he realized, maybe just above in a nearby Weyr, or just outside somewhere. He picked up on her asking Hasima if something was wrong, glancing down to his dragonet when the message was sent. Then when Andilay spoke up again he looked back at her and nodded quickly.
"Yeah," he said, "Rimith just asked Hasima if--" He cut off, because that was when the yellow asked the dragonet by his side to ask him to go check on Hasima. Queroth immediately turned his eyes, whirling with a tinge of yellow now, to K'ris. I heard her, he said. "Rimith, I heard you, I'm on my way." Even as he sent the message - which was a little odd, considering he'd never really spoken to another dragon besides Queroth before - he was putting the kitten off his lap and gathering his legs beneath him on the sill, crouching then and launching himself off the window sill and over the dragon. He hit the ground of the hallway in a run, figuring after Andilay had shown she felt uneasy about something too she'd understand if he didn't stop to tell her what had just transpired. Queroth scrambled along the floor to chase after K'ris; compared to the soft hide shoes that K'ris was wearing right now, his claws sounded like a runner crashing through a fence.
Hang back a little, he said. If someone's with her and they hear someone coming, they might move somewhere else.
Be careful, K'rismine! the dragonet said with agreement, though the boy was running faster than he was anyway since Queroth was more scrambling than running after the start he had. The man with her does not feel right.
Good to know, he replied, figuring Queroth must have gotten a better idea about who was with Hasima from Rimith. Luckily, he'd gotten a location from the yellow too ( though he wasn't sure whether Queroth had passed it to him from the yellow's message or if he'd picked up on it himself). K'ris came to a stop at an intersection just before the temporary barracks, looking down a hallway and squinting an eye slightly before running over to a door not far down it. What on earth was Hasima doing so far out of normal Weyr traffic? He hadn't even known this hallway was there before. K'ris reached the door, skidding to a stop and almost losing his balance on the floor with the soft hide shoes under his feet. He reached for the handle and pulled hard to try and yank the door open.
[I'll just leave it there for now. Obviously, Andilay can follow if she wants.. Admin's Note:
xD Also...is yellow the eyecolor for worry? I think it is. I know white is panic, but...yeah.
And for the record, just so you guys know one of my little posting quirks. Itallics for K'ris that aren't in quotes are just him talking to Queroth. Itallics for K'ris that ARE in quotes are 'public' telepathic talking and all. I'm sure at some point he'll be able to direct it specifically, but right now when he's not just talking to Queroth his words just kind of splay out for any dragon in distance to hear xD]

This boy wasn't one to pause for effect, was he? Good, neither was she. Andilay was more of a 'straight to the point' kind of girl... normally a sword point.
When K'ris set aside the kitten and dashed ahead, Andilay was sorely tempted to leave the creature there. However, she knew she would be chewed out if she did so. So, she grasped the kitten by the scruff of his neck, causing him to yowl in protest, then tucked him away in one of her many belt pouches. He was just small enough to fit.
That done she followed the boy and his dragon. They were a little ahead of her, but she managed to keep the dragon in sight while still following silently. It was possible that if she was careless the dragon's noise would mask her own, but there wasn't always that luxury, so she went the way she always did. Cautiously silent. If she was careful, whatever trouble they were heading into would never see nor hear her coming. She liked catching her enemies off guard. Surprised and panicking people were stupid and made rookie mistakes. Which made them easier to crush.
She stayed in the shadows down the hall and motioned to K'ris that she had his back. If anything happened once he opened the door, she wanted this exit blocked off, and the 'trouble' to not know it was. If the weyrling was wise, he'd have his dragon stationed on the other side of the door, to block the other end of the hallway, but she didn't wish to speak- and this idea was a little to complex for simple hand gestures. Hopefully he was smart.

(ohman, you have no idea how hard it is trying to keep this fellow in 'character' and keep enough to make a post out of. x.x)) The man approached Hasima now, with a feral and disgusting grin on his features. He laughed gloatingly, “Of course there was no other person, you fool, I just had to get you away from the route we were taking, that’s all,” He was enjoying this far too much. The signs of realisation, the way she looked so torn. With his hand tilting her chin up, he leant down to force a kiss on her lips, feeling her pulse jolting upwards. His approach narrowed her between him and the wall behind her, almost as far away from the door as possible.
The act was an awful atrocity, but needs must and all that. Besides, what was to care about some random Weyr girl? Few could claim to have been in such a situation with a Weyr girl. Yet, he could.
He kissed her, knowing she would not return it, but he got kicks out the power play. And at this moment? He held all of the power.
The door rattled. The door then burst open. He paused. Looking rather disgruntled, he turned with a growl to face the young intruder.
The brat weyrling they’d left in the sharding corridor. He turned to Hassima, grabbing her wrist, and yanking the girl in front of him. Within moments he had pulled a decent sized blade from his belt and had it held to her neck. “So you called for help? Brave brave girl… doesn’t make you any less stupid.” His words whispered like sweetened venom in her ears. His hatred obvious.
“I wouldn’t come in here… if you know what’s good for yourself and her. If you come any closer, I’ll kill her…” He warned, pulling the girls hands together, tight behind her back, the knife blade close in to her neck, leaving little to no space present.
“C’mon kid, it’s not like I was going to do anything now was it? How bout you just forget allllll about this and I’ll head off home. I want a runnerbeast though. And you won’t tell anyone, if you do, I’ll come back, and I’ll get you for it.” He warned. Trying to barter his way out, in exchange for the girls life, surely they’d put that in priority over his attempts? No?

Rimith had been close enough to hear K’ris’ message to her. In fact, the yellow was currently trying to force herself into the tunnels like Kaith had done when Christae’s son had injured himself. Her head was the only thing in, claws scratching at the ground as she tried to push on further. Please! Hurry! She begged, her voice desperate and yet filled with rage.
She really was a fool. She hadn’t seen anyone go down the corridor or anything like that and she still believed him. She had walked right into his trap so it wasn’t like she could really blame the man all that much, it was her fault too. She tried to pull her head back but the grip on her chin was too strong, she couldn’t manage to wretch herself away. The space between them seemed to be disappearing rapidly as he leaned in too close.
When the lips touched her own all she could think was how she wanted to burn off her lips, use her hands to claw them off. Something, anything to rip them off of her face so she could forever forget the feeling of his lips on hers.
When the door rattled, Hasima could feel her heart rising into her throat. Please, please don’t be rattling because you’re an old door. Be rattling because someone was there! Please let Rimith have contacted someone! And then the door swung open, and Hasima could feel a tear snake down her cheek. Oh thank Faranth! K’ris stood in the doorway, Rimith had managed to get help. She felt herself being jerked around, a hand clamped on her wrist now. He was using her as a shield, he clearly couldn’t be scummier.
Cold metal kissed her skin, whispered words of hatred filled her ears. “There are always others in the Weyr, dragons and people who would not stand by.” She whispered back, completely out of character. She never talked back, ever. And yet the words had bubbled over and slipped out before she could stop them. She was talking back to a man who could easily slice her throat, how dumb could she get. Wide eyes stared at K’ris, panic obvious in them.
Rimith’s eyes whirled quicker and quicker now, changing colors between yellow and red. Her bellows filled the caverns. I will rip him into shreds! I will tear his heart out! I will make him regret being born! Rimith continued to spit out, thrashing as she continued to try to reach her Mine. It was frightening. The Yellow was normally calm, polite and a kindred soul. But no one had tried to harass her bonded before, there was no need for this side of her to come out.

[Minajerie, I had a really good laugh at the end of your post xD "If the Weyrling was wise..." and "Hopefully he was smart." Psh, that's funny. K'ris, thinking about strategy. Hehe.]
Once the door was open and the scene inside unfolded, K'ris stopped in the doorway. Queroth, stay with Andilay, all right? K'ris sent to the dragonet that was catching up. The Hawk's Eye was still young, but he was large enough at this point that he'd still be fairly intimidating if the man managed to get out and tried to change targets.
Okay, K'rismine, but do be careful.
I will, he promised the dragonet.
He narrowed his eyes at the man when he gave his first remark. Afterwards he didn't pause long at all for thought, and instead went right into replying. "You'll kill her?" he asked, though the tone suggested he didn't expect - or want - any answer. "Now that doesn't seem very smart; killing a rider right in the Weyr she lives in." He shook his head once at the end of the first comment. "I don't have to come any closer. You're the one in the closet."
K'ris lifted an eyebrow at the man's next comment. Did this guy think he was an idiot? If he let him go, he'd just go somewhere else and attack another girl. He shook his head once, standing a bit straighter in the doorway and crossing his arms. "You know, no, I actually have a better idea --" He waved one hand in a circular motion. "You know, since we're batting ideas around. How about you put your knife down, come with us to talk to the Weyrwoman, and we'll do our best to keep the dragon trying to claw her way inside this hallway from tearing you to shreds for threatening her rider." He shrugged. "I mean, it sounds like a good idea to me. But really," he waved his hand a little again, "It's up to you."
Of course he knew that dragons didn't hurt people; but with any luck, the threat of it would be enough for the man. And Rimith was pretty ticked off. Her angry bellows were more than noticeable in the halls now; someone else was probably already on their way.

He growled, “No way kid,” He shook his head, the kid offered his some descript of sense, he caressed the knife over her neck, “ Your Weyrwoman would throw me to the Whers anyway. I’ll take my life thanks.” He smirked, “And that dragon would never harm me if I’ve got her bonded all nestled up here with my knife against her throat, and if I kill this one, that beast goes between. I’m not as stupid as I look kid, I know how these things work. Now be a good lad and get me what I asked for, and quick about it! Before my knife gets a little to hungry for her blood.”
Wicked grin on his features said only that he could and would do it. He wasn’t eager to become a murderer, but if it was her life, or his? He’d take his anyway.
He hissed in her ear, she was disobeying him, that did not sit well. “Oh, but they will sit back, because you, little Hasima, are a nice pawn. And look, your little mutated friend has come to help you out, shame he can’t… if he was smart he’d do as I say.” He spat at the boy in the door way, of course the reference to the mutated friend, was a reference to K’ris, for he had seen the boy with a hawkseye dragon.
H skittered nervously as he heard the dragon, but the nerves were fleeting, he knew he was right, that the dragon wouldn't touch him as long as he held her bonded. She couldn't. For their intimate link would mean her death.
