I wish you'd let me eat more than that Mine. I'm still hungry! The young Hawk's Eye dragon commented to his bonded as they made their way from the Weyrbowl back towards the temporary barracks.
You only think you're hungry, K'ris assured his dragon, looking along the hallway as they walked. The Weyrlingmaster is right, if I fed you any more you'd get sick. He didn't intend to head right back to the weyrling's quarters; there was a particularly nice window he'd found the other day and now that he had some down time he wanted to sit by it. With the combined duties of Weyrling Training and the process of cleaning up the Weyr, he was looking forward to having some down time.
There it is, K'rismine! Queroth said, picking up on his bonded's thoughts and recognizing the window ahead from the boy's mind. He stepped a bit quicker to get ahead of the weyrling, then poked his head over the ledge of the window and rested it there. K'ris followed his dragon, stepping next to him by the window and pulling himself onto the ledge to sit and lean against the edge of the window.
Nice view, he commented, looking out over the grounds. It was an outer window, so he was able to see the outskirts of the Weyr. Not a very high view, but still a nice one.
Yes yes, I agree K'rismine. Queroth plopped down into a seated position, leaving his head to rest on the ledge. The sky is pretty!
K'ris looked up at the comment and smiled lopsidedly, giving a nod. Sure is, he said. I think it's something with the storm. I'm pretty sure someone told me once that the sky is clearest after a storm...something about how bad weather cleans out the air, makes it really clear.
Oohhh. Queroth replied, his eyes whirling soft blues in content relaxation. K'ris' mind was calm, and the night was much the same; it made Queroth calm in turn. The world is calm.
It does look that way, K'ris said, settling back against the window and resting his outstretched foot against the other side. He had really begun to settle into his new home; and Queroth choosing him was a promise that he wouldn't have to be shipped off to somewhere new again. He couldn't remember what it was like to have a permanent home or any sort of family, but he was starting to know what that meant. He liked it. He liked it a lot. Kinda makes you wish it could just stay this way forever.
[Ahhh, such a calm start, eh?
Anyone care to ruin it? >P]

Kira was on her way back from the kitchens. She was hungry and wanted a bite to eat, and it also helped that her copper was asleep. Isis had curled up with her dragonet as well. The two were getting along great. Isis could be a fussy feline, but she was generally nice to other people, pets, and dragons. It was a good thing two, otherwise she'd have to constantly separate the two and that was something she really didn't feel like spending so much time on.
Kira was strolling along, humming to herself. She hadn't noticed K'ris around. If she had, she might tease the boy endlessly. K'ris seemed like a shy one, and she enjoyed flirting with them. They got flustered so easily and she found it so adorable. But Kira wasn't focused on flirting at the moment. She had just finished eating and she was on her merry way back to the temporary barracks. She would contently curl up on her cot with Isis for awhile, and then afterwards perhaps she would oil her dragonet. Yes, there were so many possibilities for the day. Kira was obliviously in her own little world.

"Come back here you little runt! That's my best brush!!" Came the angry shout as Andilay chased the small kitten Danny down the hall. "If you chew that up I swear I will dice you into stew meat, Rayn, or no Rayn!!"
Even with her long legs the kitten was still more agile than the spry young swordswoman, and continued to dodge her attempts at capture. When the kitten saw a boy and his young dragon sitting by a window. Finding that as good a place as any to stop, especially since it meant sun and a nice view, the kitten dashed straight to the weyrling.
"Where do you think you are going you little fur ball!!" Not quite noticing until the little thing umped onto his lap that there was someone there, Andilay had to quickly stop to prevent herself from running headfirst into dragon and boy. As it was, she still nearly did, ending up on her tippy toes teetering on falling towards them and drawing herself away. Once she had her equilibrium back she rocked onto her heels and glared at Danny the mischievous feline. Of course he would find refuge in a warm lap from her fury, the little conniver.

((ooc:: sorrryyyyy guys muse has been for coding recently!!!))He bit his lip. Watching the ongoings, assessing the situation. He felt his heart stutter as another – the unexpected one came along. But as the unexpected one’s kitten chased down the corridor, he prayed she would simply create a distraction. He looked at the girl. The one he had anticipated. Unaccompanied by any creature. There was no dragon, no flitter, no canine, nor wher by her side. A predatory smile tugged at lips that in other circumstances might not have been unattractive. The assailant was average height, quite broad, but well muscled. And, what pray tell had he come to this Weyr for? Well,That was his own information, that he was not quite at ease to disclose. However, he was here for no reason of good. The hurricane had been a perfect time to sneak in to the unprepared Weyr, he had not been stopped, No watchdragon to notice him strange. That indeed, he was no crater nor dragonman, nor a company they had been expecting. And shards, but they wouldn’t be expecting what was to come either. He had been appraising the situation for a few days now. He had resolved the best place for it, was near the lower caverns, here –though more highly populated- it was easier to disappear, and remain unnoticed. Besides, the lower caverns lead to the kitchens – and the kitchens were a place that everyone needed to go, and it meant that he had his pick. Even with the complication. He was still confident that he could pull it off. And get away with it. She was small, quite dainty, she should be easy to get away with. As for the taller complication female, she would likely be a distraction for the small boy and his dragon. He would have to be careful of those two. But he was seasoned at this. He declined against a wall, casually observing for now. As with any creature, hunting was a delicate sport, and as much about patience as it was about winning. He slowly unwrapped a piece of grubby clothe from around large, equally grubby palms. A feral look came as his brows dipped, his target casually observed from the corner of his eye. He would win this game too. anonymity kept for a reason

K'ris had sort of been dazing out as he stared out the window, and so if Queroth hadn't suddenly prodded at his mind to let him know that someone was coming. The hawk's eye, who had laid down by now, lifted his head and watched the kitten with a curious whirl to his eye as it leapt up into his bonded's lap. K'ris lifted his hands when the kitten jumped up, then smiled and brought it down to scratch just behind the kitten's ear. He looked over to the girl as she came over.
"Lose something?" he asked with a lopsided smile. He had noticed that she almost fell over, but since she hadn't it wasn't really a big deal. "He's a cute little guy," K'ris said, smiling down to the furball and running his hand along his back. "And," he said, "he knows a good view when he sees one. That's a very important trait in a feline." K'ris looked back to the girl. "I'm K'ris, of Hawk's Eye Queroth here" he said, motioning to the dragonet by the window. "Nice to meet you two."
And, as it seemed this unknown stranger wanted it, K'ris and Queroth went on being currently unaware of their presence. If he were older, Queroth probably could have picked up on their nearby presence - but he was still young, and probably only could if they were in some sort of extreme distress or someothersuch high-level emotion.

Kira stopped skipping along her way once she saw the kitty. She looked longingly at it for a moment, but noticed a girl was chasing it. It reminded her of her own feline and how adorable she had been when she was a little kitten. She sighed contently, unaware of the danger lurking ever closer to her.
Kira wasn't to be considered a dumb girl, she was quite smart and perceptive. It was what helped her play these little games of hers, afterall. But today she was in a very unaware state, a state in which she wished to do nothing but day dream in her own little world.
And in her own little world she was. She had her back turned to the stranger, standing still. She was no longer looking at the kitten and still hadn't noticed K'ris. She was still thinking of her own feline. She was on the other side, some yards and yards away from K'ris and the girl. Little did she know, however, that she was only a few feet away from the stranger.

"Yes. I lost my dignity somewhere," gestures idly behind her, " back there." Once she had regained her composure she pointed to the paintbrush the kitten had dropped in K'ris' lap. "May I have that, please. The little monster stole it from me, and it is hard for me to replace it."
Andilay grimaced. "Yeah, he's real cute." She glared at the fur ball. "My name is Andilay, and that fluffy piece of dragon meat is Danny, my sword partner's current attachment. Unfortunately, it means I cannot punish the little thing. Instead I can only-" her frown deepened, "bring him back in one piece to his mistress."
So deep in annoyed displeasure with the small creature known as a cat, that Andilay did not even pick up on the possible ominous presence with ill intent. She simply stood and glared at the offensive fur ball, and it meowed cutely back.

He stood perfectly still, looking onwards to his prey, the kitten had proved no distraction. So, what would the best course of action be now? Either way he had to keep her subdued, keep her quietened until he could get her somewhere that the dragon couldn’t get, or, people would find difficult to get into. One such room was further down the corridor, a left turn before the barracks, on the walk from the kitchens. The room was down quite a pokey corridor, and it lead into a dead end, it was quiet because there was no through way. Also, the rooms down there were empty seemingly for a long while.
So, plan A – ask the girl for directions to the barracks, and hope that he could distract her enough to take a wrong turning before hand. plan B – ask the girl for directions, and whisk her away down the corridor. plan C – stalk her and herd her into the corridor, which hopefully she will think is a regular through corridor. But, he’d have to try and keep her suspicions down for fear of bringing her dragonling about.
His plans and options changed every moment he hesitated, he could have to act soon.
Plan A and B seemed the most likely, he would assess the need for either of the other parts later, so he approached Kira, smiled, with slight embarrassment as he tapped her on the shoulder, “’Scuse me young lady,” Charm and niceties only noticeable in his demeanour, even if he wasn’t exactly pretty. “But, I’m afraid I’m lost.” He shrugged and looked about the corridor looking slightly bewildered by it all, “These corridors all look the same to unpractised eyes, would you mind helping an old man?” He smiled – for he wasn’t that old, maybe his late thirties. No older.

Kira seemed to be snapped out of her own reality by the voice of an older man. She turned around and looked over at him. "Oh, you're lost are you? Where do you need to go?", Kira asked the stranger. Kira had now grown familiar with the weyr and knew most of the places around. She felt as though she could adequately give this older man some direction.

K'ris lifted the paintbrush when it was pointed to, looked at it for a moment, then handed it back towards her. "Here you go." He sat up a little on the window, holding the kitten so it wouldn't fall, and swung his legs over the inside edge of the window. His feet ended up resting across Queroth's back, because the dragon had by now curled more underneath the side of the window where K'ris was. The blond nodded towards the other side of the large window. "Take a seat if you want," he offered. K'ris looked down the hallway towards the sound of voices, faintly recognizing one of them, but they were a bit too far to really make out what was being said. He looked back to the girl.
"It's great to meet both of you," he said, offering a lopsided smile. The boy quirked an eyebrow somewhat. "Swords?" he asked. "That's pretty cool. I lived with a family once that worked with swordplay. They let me try it one time...but it was never really my thing, I guess." Leaving the kitten to sit in his lap, he lifted his hands and clenched them into fists for a brief moment. "I've always just sort of winged it with hand-to-hand." He let his hands fall back onto his lap, and shrugged. "Not that I've had to fight a lot in my life, but, you know, just saying."

"Hmm." Andilay glanced at the sound of the voices before taking a seat. "It is nice to not have to fight. It is just what I know, so I turned it into a career when I needed to get money. I know hand to hand as well, just because sometimes it's better to fight with fists than a blade. It is so easy to take a life with something sharp." She shrugged and tucked her paintbrush in one of her belt pouches.
"This is a very nice view. Makes me wish I had finished my fan, then I could paint this scene on it." Andilay smiled whimsically.

ooc: its a bit short, but I'm trying to work with what I got.
The man looked own at Kira – where did he want to go, well there was a simple answer to that, “I’m trying to reach the barracks, I have a relative there, but in the hurricane – they shut the regular ones through damage – or so I was told, I was roughly pointed in this direction by some other Rider, and now, I am as lost as you find me” He gave a dramatic sigh, followed by a warm smile. “I don’t suppose you’d know where I should be going now do you? These corridors all look the same to me.” He looked about him just for affect, “I’ve been wandering around in hope that I’d cross someones path, and I found you.” He smiled again, “How fortunate could I be?” Niceties and pleasantries. How … fine.

Hasima had spent the last half hour wandering around, searching. She was even going what she considered to be fast so she could get the job done quickly. Rhia had found the yellowrider outside and asked her to find Kira and send the weyrling to her. Hasima was happy to accept it, that and the fact she always felt horribly guilty if she said no. So now she was trying to find Kira, a girl who she barely knew. She had to ask Z’ayr to describe Kira to her so she would know who exactly she was looking for.
She walked down numerous hallways and eventually found herself on the main one to the kitchen. She walked down it for a bit before finally spotting her. At least she hoped it was her, she fit the description she was given at least. Wavy brown hair, green eyes and curvy. Kira fit that description, most definitely.
“Ah. Uhm, excuse me.” Hasima began, not wanting to interrupt Kira’s conversation. Hasima felt bad that she was intruding, what if this man was Kira’s significant other? Then again, that was against Weyrling rules. “Kira, right? Rhia was looking for you; she’s in the Weyrbowl and asked me to send for you.” Hasima said softly, her voice sounding like an apology. Hasima was never good at social situations; she let others speak for her.

Kira was about to answer the man when Hasima came to find her. "Why hello Hasima", she greeted with a kind smile and a sweet voice. Kira knew some of the riders already, and Hasima was one of them, even if they hadn't really talked or anything.
"I was about to show this man where the barracks were, but alright", Kira said with a bit of a frown. She walked off, giving a nod to K'ris and the woman when she saw them.

Ooc|| Hopefully no one minds me posting right after Lee like this. I figure this way we can immediately get back into the plot c: Justwithacharacterchange
Hasima watched as Kira walked off, hoping that Rhia wouldn’t mind the fact it took the yellowrider quite a while to find the girl. Of course then she realized she was not standing around awkwardly with a strange man. Her face turned into her usual scarlet red shade as she bowed her head very slightly to the man. “I’m sorry.” She apologized softly. She had accidentally taken away this mans guide. If she didn’t offer to help him then the poor soul would be back to wandering around on her own. He was new here, obviously since he didn’t know his way around and the least Hasima could do was to be polite.
“I can take you to the barracks if you don’t mind.” She offered a small smile on her lips. She knew her manners. Guests to Dark Moon had to be treated with respect; she did not want to give the Weyr a bad name. Plus she would be horrified with herself if she didn’t help him out. What kind of person would she be if she left him stranded here?

((again, I know it’s not my turn, but this feels like this one needs my post shrug I’m sure you guys wont mind))
The man smiled, begrudgingly. He’d wanted this Kira not this new one. He’d started his plans as though it were Kira, he wanted. Shards but this changed absolutely everything.
He’d have to completely reassess his plans, but this little one seemed decent enough, it didn’t seem like she was too forward, or too loud. So, perhaps his plans wouldn’t be too hard to follow through, but with a different target.
Yes, resolve found, he would just exact the same tactics, but with this girl, but it was a risk, Kira would now know that he was the last one to see her. Hmmm. He pondered, perhaps a small change of tactics was in order. He may let her take him to where – no, that would take too long, he couldn’t risk anymore time in the weyr than necessary. He’d take the risk of Kira knowing his face, He’d just make sure he’d get out of this place on the quick in the mean time. Weyrs rarely hunted a man down too thoroughly. So, he was set.
He smiled at the new girl, “Thank you, it would be much appreciated.” He smiled to Kira too – trying not to show too much that he was dismayed, “Thank you for your assistance Kira,” He smiled pleasantly, “Now, you were going to show me to the barracks yes? Lead on then, I’m Jormir by the way, what was your name?” He asked, trying to make pleasant conversation, despite the fact that he just conveyed an incredibly smooth lie about his name.

[That's fine guys, posting ahead in this situation does help it move along, 'cause otherwise we'd run out of small talk with the other two xD Just, when it gets to the point where Hasima might need some help and all, wait for that help to come xP
Sorryyyy~ again, for leaving you guys so long without a post.]
K'ris nodded in agreement to the comment about preferring hands over weapons, looking back out at the view through the window when it was brought up. "You paint fans?" he asked, looking back at Andilay. "Make 'em, too? That's pretty cool, I'll bet you could make some extra marks just from that. They're probably great." The blond shrugged somewhat, "I'm not really that talented in art or anything myself."
Popping into the air above them at that moment was the too-often-forgotten flit, Twil. He glided down to land on his bonded's shoulder, wrapping his tail lightly around the boy's neck and staring down at the kitten that was seated in his lap curiously. Queroth looked up to the flit as it appeared, crooning softly in a greeting, then turned his attention down the hall to where Kira had just walked by - K'ris gave a wave to her and a smile as she did so. Once she was gone, the dragon looked towards where she'd come from. Queroth wasn't sure why, but the man that Hasima was talking to seemed...different, and not in a way that he thought he liked very much. However, he didn't want to interrupt his bonded's conversation just then.[/size]

“Yes, please, follow me.” Hasima said softly, a faint blush reaching her ears for no reason. She felt incredibly guilty that she had to run his conversation to Kira and made a mental note to apologize once more.
She walked down the halls, slow for that was the only pace she knew. Hopefully the man wouldn’t mind, he didn’t seem to be in a rush. “I’m Hasima.” She introduced, offering Jormir a thin smile. “Of Yellow Rimith.” She finished, another blush on her face. She felt awkward introducing herself like that for some reason. She loved Rimith, don’t get her wrong, but the dragons color often brought attention to Hasima. Hasima wasn’t a huge fan of attention, she preferred to stay in the back. If she could have lived as a shadow, she would be equally happy. However, she was eternally grateful for having Rimith by her side. The dragon was her moral support.
“Did you get caught in the hurricane?” She asked with genuine interest. They have had a few stragglers around for a bit now, the hurricane had ruined their plans of returning home for the time being.

((sorry... its short x.x I can't really get into his head atm))
The man nodded his head as she introduced herself, as a weyrling of a yellow no less. He quirked a brow, the blush she made was very cute, and perhaps fate had a nice way of twisting things in his favour. “A yellow? Is that one of Dark moon’s mutations?” He asked, “You’re a lucky girl Hasima. Many would be envious of your impression.” He informed her.
Then she began to talk of the hurricane, he would use what ever he was given in this situation, as a well trained liar would, “Ah, yes, unfortunately, my cart was out on the road when the hurricane hit, this was the nearest walk, I dare say I’ll be going home in a few days or so.” He smiled falsely, judging the turning he wanted to take was about a few seconds walk now. But she didn’t seem to be too difficult to encourage.

She nodded at Jormir as an answer to his question. “She’s only one out of a few mutations.” Hasima said, as if amending the fact that she had received a Yellow dragon. Hasima often tried to downplay her dragon’s color, she still felt slightly unworthy to have Impressed such a beautiful creature. She looked at Jormir and actually offered him a legit smile, wide with a bit of teeth showing. She looked down, another rush of color on her cheeks – she looked very…serene for a moment. “I-I’m very blessed for having Rimith by my side.” She wondered if people were envious of Rimith, she had never really thought of that before.
Hasima frowned. The poor man! He had been caught in the hurricane! “I’m glad you safely got to Dark Moon then.” Hasima said softly, trying to be polite. What she said was true too – she couldn’t even imagine being caught in the Hurricane like she was imagining him to have done. She lifted a hand, pointing to the substitute barracks entrance way. “The barracks are just up there, they’re pretty close by.” She had pointed this out so the man wouldn’t have gotten mad at her walking slowly.
