Apprentice Healer Rino

[I need to apologize for how short this bio is...It's so old, and I don't have the mental prowess to re-write it right now xD; Mostly I want to get him up and roleplaying, because I was given a tip-off that it might be fun to be in the Hold right now.

Honestly, it's probably the worst bio I have so far. I'll likely add to it/edit it/etc it in time, but I...really just want to get him in play xD; His bio needs a revaaamp, and I don't want to wait.

Name: Rino

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Sexulaity: Heterosexual

Rank: Apprentice Healer (Caspian Hold newcomer)

Appearance: Around five and three fourths feet tall. Not extremely built, but not incredibly scrawny either. Rino has jet black hair, with a few highlights of a blond-sort-of-color. His hair is parted in the center, hanging a bit shorter in the front but lengthening as it went back and stopping around his ears. His eyes are a silver-gray sort of color. His skin is somewhat tan, but mostly from sun-exposure. He wears a plain tunic in healer colors (not positive of those colors), along with plain black cloth pants. He wears leather shoes as well, made of soft hide with a pounded-hide sole.

Personality: Friendly and Outgoing, he tends to get himself into trouble many times..though he's never quite sure how. Rino is always up to make new friends, meaning that he's not anti social. Though he's not one to go up to someone he doesnt know and quite randomly start talking to them. If he's in a place where he knows nobody he'll most likely keep to himself, atleast untill he begins to get his bearings.

History: He's not quite sure who his father is, as the man had gone off somewhere before he and Rino's mother had gotten a chance to marry.

In a not-so-distant-Hold his mother owns a shop where she sells minor healing products for household-use. She wasn't really the best choice for an trainer for Rino, but she did her best to train him in what she knew for the years that he's been of age. Now that he's older, however, she thought it best to send him somewhere where he could recieve better training.

They decided on Caspian Hold. Rino packed, said his goodbyes, and went on his way...albeit a bit reluctantly. He didn't mind helping his mother man her shop, and he went along with the bits of training she gave to him, but the life of a healer never turly appealed to him. The only reason he didn't protest was because he couldn't picture anything else he'd rather do. He figured he'd go along with the healer training and either find another calling later, or learn to enjoy a healers work. If nothing else, after all, the life of a healer at least offered help to others.

The only plan for his life at current is to arrive at Caspian Hold, find the Healer Hall there, and hope that he would be accepted as an Apprentice.

Pets: Male Feline named Frello, light dust brown in color with various dark mud brown blotches along his coat. Once such blotch is over his right eye, as well as on each of his paws. Frello's eyes are a dark chocolate brown color with golden rims.

[That's all I got so far, I'm hoping to buff up his history as he goes along in the rp xD; If you reject it on grounds of me adding, I'll understand, but I figured I might sneak him by since you all know my roleplaying style/abilities otherwise?

And yes, before you ask. This character is so old that his name is literally just 'Kino' with an R in place of the K. I made him when I first fell in love with that series.]

I would ask that you notify us when you add to him so we may look to make sure its still in compliance with Weyr expectations

I didn't think Apprentices were allowed outside the hall until they became Journeymen unless he is studying under the Master Healer.

Healers wear green.

History can wait but we do need a bit more of his personality right now. I'd consider allowing you to role play him unapproved as long as the personality is the first thing worked on because that is something that is really important for us to see. Plus we do know you as an rper.

I didn't think Caspian had a Healer Hall. I just checked. There's a Weaver Hall branch in Caspian, not a Healer Hall, so unless he was apprenticed at the main Healer hall in the North he wouldn't be an apprentice.

Hawk - Despite Caspian not having a healing hall - Apprentices could be transferred out to holds if the masters thought they would benefit from this - though it is unusual.

Another unusual fact is that he's an apprentice, at 16, though, not terribly unusual, he would usually have become a journeyman by this stage. Apprentices are taken from the age of 8 to 14, so, for an apprentice to join at that age? Is considered severely abnormal. Perhaps the solution to all of the problems there, is to keep that story, but state that that was when he was perhaps, 12 or 13? Then it would also be a good way to plug a bit more into his history, including some of his times in the Healer halls, then you could keep his rank as apprentice, or bolster it up to Journeyman, either way, say that his masters selected that he should be the one who travels to Caspian, seen as Caspian are in lack of a journeyman healer since Akki's character (who shamefully I forget his name durrrr) had to leave?

Maybe a few ideas there.

As to his personality, I feel like we've got the barest glimpse of Rino here... He feels a very platonic characters so far, perhaps he has hidden depths? Or something? Maybe something about why he chose healer craft, it's a tricky craft and not one people take on lightly. How does he feel and react towards blood and gory wounds and such? Presumably he's not sickly, he's healthy himself, and he doesn't get queasy easily? Perhaps he was always the lad with an intrepid imagination, and adored it when the Harpers or storytellers told reels of fantastical stories, horrific ending and spooky whereabouts.

Edit: I don't quite know why those ideas seemed to fit together, but they did in my mind. Maybe when he was younger he had an annoying habit of asking patients how they got their wounds and was terribly disappointed when he found out they weren't wrestling a rogue Southern Wher that attacked his family in the dead of night? I think that's where that came from. *nods convincingly*

Also - if you wanna call him Kino as opposed to Rino - go for it We're not fussed =D

Oh wow, thanks for the tips panther xD; and you too, hawk. I can say I agree with everything you say - and yes, personality too. I'm aware you get the barest hints of personality, I made that bio....uh, what was it...at least 2005, probably earlier. I was pretty young.

As for the bio and stuff I can change stuff if you'd like And I'll explain a bit here (and yes, eventually add xD). usually I just pull him in directly into candidate, so the transfer thing is new for him. He's only an apprentice because one: he's only had his mom teaching his things, she's totally not a master, they're not doing things correctly. and two: he has next to no ambition for the craft. So if there's no healer hall there? that's fine, they didn't plan that through too well anyway, she just kind of sent him off. He'll find something else to slip into for a job.

I basically just wanted him to head to caspian for reasons that I....would like to plot off with whoever's plotting that murder plot? xD I still dunno who's responsible for that.
