OOC: Seen as you're both being slow and adverse to starting the topics! I shall! Ez loves to be the center of attention anyway <3
Venture forth! Ezieki surveyed the weyr. He smirked. His Weyr. He chortled to himself as he looked out, red hair flittering around as the wind combed through its lengths.
He was quite relaxed in his adornments today. A loose white shirt, lavishly embroidered around the collar and cuffs, with silvered thread that wove intricate patterns. Calf length boots, and a rich brown pair of trousers, that looked fresh from the hands of a Master Weaver. A silver feather pendant hung low down his pale smooth chest, open where the loose shirt hung. On his left wrist, he wore a thick series of bangles and bracelets, one stood out, a dark blue enamel, the only thing on his person that wasn’t immaculate. Dented, and scarred from ungraceful actions. But, he could care less, for it was given to him by a friend. Someone he hadn’t seen in a while. And shards. But he did miss her.
He also missed his family, oddly. Not his brother, and his younger sister quite a lot, but also Danae – his cousin, he felt like it had been such a long tim since he seen her. He hoped that his time in Telgar would have given him some sort of information with respect to her location. But no. She still remained a very difficult girl to find.
Thoughts returned to the weyr. The Rukbat was high in the sky, it was roughly midday. A gloriously warm day, white clouds streaking the sky in a scarce manner, as though scared to interrupt the virtuously clean blue that hailed good weather to come.
Ez adored this time of year, soft breezes and gorgeous sunshine. Much contrast to the hurricane that had apparently hit here a few sevendays prior to his arrival. But it was neat, and quite cute for now, a petite weyr. Even so, so far he had failed to find anyone he knew – and considering his native home was the local, and largest tithing hold to this weyr, Azvon Hold, this was quite unusual. Ez usually made a point of knowing faces, and the names that went with them.
But then, Telgar had been an experience of it’s own. He really hadn’t got on well there. But then, he wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for I’dalyn… he sighed, sat himself back and looked skywards, a beautiful blanket of lush green grass spread either side of him. His fingers delicated took a thick section of his hair and began to braid it, fingers moving automatically with grace, despite his obvious contemplation upon oblivion.

Kallan smiled as he finished washing his hands. His part of the room was done, his Candidate chores were done (or he would vehemently say they were), and all that was left to do was ... well, herm, what did he want to do? He started to leave the temporary room he'd been assigned and found, to his dismay, that he'd started washing his hands in the middle of putting on his shoes, which he'd done in the middle of reorganizing his chest. Which meant ... his shoe was in the chest.
With a small huff of frustration he yanked everything out of the chest, tossing things back onto his bed, until he came upon the offending shoe. He slipped it on his foot before skipping out of his room. He was rather oblivious to the fact that his so-called cleaning was totally undone, or maybe he was just more focused on where Quiote went. Yep, he definitely was responsible-like-ly worried about his fire lizard.
He smiled, a great thing about the hurricane. He was on the bottom floor near just about anything. He came out of the tunnel to stare out at the Weyr Bowl, now look at that. Pretty blue sky, water sparkling in the distance (or he imagined he could see it from here) and green grass everywhere. He jammed his hands in his pockets, breathing deep as he stretched up on his toes, chest arched forward and head tilted back. He blinked, falling back on his heels with a thump, to look at his hand. Well, that's serendipity, he'd stored a fruit in his pocket from earlier today. He took a bite from it and started walking aimlessly staring into the trees and the sky. And that was going wonderfully, until he fell over a lump in the grass. A lump that turned out to be a boy who was also enjoying the day. Or probably was until Kallan fell on him. "Oh hi, I'm Kallan." It didn't occur to him for another moment or two that he should move off the fella.

Eyes having lapsed shut in the middle of this lazy hour, he had not noticed, not heard Kallan approach. Nor had he notice him as close as he was, until he felt something against his foot. He jumped and looked across his lap, eyes open, mouth guffawing in a mild stupour as he looked at the younger boy who introduced himself as Kallan. Shutting his mouth, he looked at the boy, with a more serious edge, a slightly concerned crease forming between his brow. “Hi there Kallan…” He said, voice showing a slight perturbation in his usually flawless demeanour. “You okay there kid?” He felt right saying kid, for Kallan was three, maybe four turns younger than him.
Ez looked around to see if anyone else had noticed this incredulous event. He sat straight, letting the concern and confusion fade from his face, he added a comment, not quite derogatory, a little suggestive perhaps, but nothing to serious meant by it, “You might want to get up Kallan.” He reminded, “I’m Ez’ki by the way – rather – I will be when I impress. Ezieki,” Ez never done things in parts, he was a man of whole believing. If he didn’t think something, he didn’t believe it, if he thought something, he believed it. For better or worse. Pigheaded at its worst, and stubborn at his best. He continued talking to Kallan-still-splayed-across-his-lap, he couldn’t help but laugh a little before he spoke as the thoughts filled his head. “I’d say it’s nice to meet you, but it feels a little late, considering our positioning.” He pulled his lips sideways a smirk on his face, thoroughly amused by himself.

Despite having arrived at Dark Moon early that morning, Tumaril had barely paid any attention to the Weyr it'self yet. She'd been warned before she transferred that a hurricane had hit a few seven days before and to be honest, she wanted to explore before being roped in to helping. Get a feel for the place.
So with that, she'd gone to explore around the lake and had successfully killed a few hours. Tumaril had also managed to fall in. The rock she'd tripped over sprung up out of the ground with the intention of making her fall. It honestly wasn't there before~ Despite the initial shock of the cold, it was quite pleasent in the water. Tumaril made a mental not to go for swims most mornings if she could.
'Ha. What an excellent first impression I'll make' Tumaril said to herself after she dragged herself out of the water and back on dry land. She looked akin to a drowned rat. Even after wringing out her hair and shirt, they were still pretty saturated and her trousers were streaked with bits of mud. At least they're brown trousers... She thought as she brushed the worst of the mud off, or at least spreading it over more of her trousers.
Deciding to end her lakeside adventures, Tumaril head back towards the Weyrbowl. She probably should looking into finding someone or doing something useful she supposed. The loosely plaited her hair as she walked to keep the soggy strands from sticking to her face and preventing her clothes at the back drying.
It was as she was casually looking here and there and everywhere that she spotted two boys. Tumaril let out a quiet squee of delight as she recognised one of the figures. It had been a little while since she'd seen him but she felt sure it was him. Very sure. She displayed her certainty in running and proceeding to tackle Ezeiki. She didn't think twice about the boy in his lap or the almost certain discomfort having a damp girl pouncing on him was likely to cause him. 'HI EZ!' Tumaril pretty much shouted at him with a huge grin on her face.

( *snickers* So much for them staying clean ))
"Oh yeah, I'm fine, your, uh, lap broke my fall." He smiled in response to the other's laugh, "You're going to Impress? Are you a special um Iunno, future seer? What color? Oh, oo, what color will I get? Will I get a dragon? Probably asked that in the wrong order.." he asked as he started to push himself upright, "Owf!," He ended up getting flattened by a very loud girl. Or maybe it was very loud because she was yelling right on top of him. Now that was a new development. Kallan had never been tackled before. He now appreciated, just a little, why sometimes they would gripe about him tackling them. Then again, he didn't have some unknown wet, cold substance on him when he pounced a person.
He looked over from Ez's chest to see the girl. "I'm sorry, but we weren't playing canine pile. Although," He said turning to look back at Ez, "Now that we have three people, nah your shirt would get even more rumply and grass stains might set in." He looked over to the girl, "Oh, I'm sorry. Hello, I'm Kallan. Nice to meet you!"

He listened to Kallan’s words, despairing slightly. “I just know I’ll impress. As for you? Maybe you’ll be the first to impress to a tunnel snake egg, mutations are getting quite quirky here I guess,” He paused as if he were waiting for effect, then added, “No Kallan, I can’t see the future.” He smirked, though his humour was not long lived, instead he found himself flattened – in a rather awkward way against the ground. He groaned, then his ears rang “HI EZ! It took a moment for his brain to clear his ears of the ringing, then a further moment for his mind to place the voice, and another for him to react. He looked up at her. A familiar face filling his entire vision.
“Tumaril?” He paused, “Tum!!!” He swung his arms around her, “Shards how are you! I’ve not seen you in turns!!! What Two? Four? Whatever! Tuuumariiiiil!” He sang in a poor effort, showing his unhaltered excitement. He beamed at her, then Kallan’s voice filled his ears, slowly he became very aware that he was quite … wet. His brows furrowed. He looked down – as best he could – “Ah! Shards!! Get up get upgetupgetupgetUP!” Words became a blur, His white shirt! It would be all mud and grass stains!
He went limp. Giving up the fight. It was too late now. The shirt was ruined, he would have to deal with that. Shards. Then he thought, pausing as he did so. Eying Tumaril, he regained that small furrow in his brow, “why, exactly, are you wet and muddy Tum? You do worry me girl.”

Giggling, Tumaril removed herself from the panicy boy and sitting (well, kneeling) in a Seiza style (that crazy japanese style where you're basically sitting on you're shins XD Google it =)). Her legs were muddy already so she didn't care about them getting stained. Not that she would have cared anyway to be fair.
'Ah, as prissy as ever I see Ez.' She shook her head, laughing at his limp, stained form. Poor boy. This is why Tumaril was glad she didn't care excessively about such things. 'Hello Kallan! My name is Tumaril, as you might guess from his reaction just now' She indicated Ez with a jerk of her thumb as she talked to the previously unknown boy 'I'm sorry for getting you caught in my attack on Ez. I had to take advantage of my element of surprise!'
Two small shapes appeared seemingly out of no where (they had been lurking in some tree or other), chirping wildly to each other and then as they got nearer, to Tumaril too. 'Settle down you two' she said, grabbing the Green flitt that was flying around her head out of the air and placing her on one shoulder. The Green seemed rather worryingly used to this sort of treatment. The brown settled on her lap quickly after wittnessing what happened to his companion. 'These guys are Midori' She points to the Green 'And Suoh' and to the brown.
Ez's question finally sinks in, far later than it should of done. "Why am I wet and muddy? I fell in the lake, silly!'

Kallan frowned slightly as Ez said he'd Impress a tunnel snake. It wasn't because of what he'd said, he just got the weirdest image in his head. A huge winged, tunnel snake that he could ride through the skies like a dragon. "I wonder how you would harness the thing." He muttered. He was brought back from the land of fantasy by Ez's yell of 'getup'. Once Tumaril was up he quickly got off of Ez and thumped beside the two in the grass. He was mildly amused to find the other so flustered.
"How do you do," he said to the two flitts, proving ever so shockingly, that he does know what manners are. "I'd show you mine, but Quiote will only show up when you don't want him or when you're looking for something and he's holding it out of reach. Or maybe when he's hungry, but that doesn't count 'cause that's work."
"You fell in the lake? How was it? I was thinking about taking a swim since it's such a warm day, but sometimes the waters too cold." He nodded sagely.
(( And sadly I hafta poof now. It's time for break...errr Lunch. ^.^; ))

OOC: Yes, hi, sorry. I love you all so much, I wanted a chance to get some words in! Salina was rather dizzy from all that had gone on in the last few sevendays. The hurricane was certainly the biggest. Unexpected, the Weyr was in quite the upheaval from all the damage the natural disaster had caused. There were damages to be logged and reported, there were repairs that had to be made, animals that still had to be caught, materials to be bought and brought in... It was quite the situation. But that was only the first thing that had put her into such a state of confusion by the merest margin. The other, the slight second, was the fact that Salina had, finally, for the first time, put herself forward to be a candidate. The weyrbrats were all allowed to, of course, but Salina had, uncharacteristically for the children in the Weyr, waited until now to put herself forward for a clutch. She just had wanted to wait for the time to be right, until she felt like she might succeed. How desperately she wanted to... For now, she was wandering along outside, just enjoying the good weather and trying to soak up some vitamins. She glanced at Rukbat, a slim smile gracing her face. Her hand reached idly round her neck to pull around thick hair that shone golden in the light, glinting with a feather, meticulously kept, that she wore rarely. Special. Just as absentmindedly, she stroked slender fingers through the strands, feeling them warm beneath her touch as Rukbat sent warm light her way. Her light, gauzy gray skirt swished about her legs as she continued walking aimlessly through the grounds, reaching now to undo a few laces of the soft green blouse she wore. Then she head voices. Voices that sounded familiar. Too familiar. Salina stopped dead, glancing around, a purpose instilled in her now. No, it couldn’t be…There was just no possible way…She walked faster, peering about, turning when she heard the voices louder, coming from a different direction. She rounded a bend and saw them, huddled there with a shape she didn’t know, vaguely boy-like, but she wasn’t looking at it, she was looking at the other two. How could she not know the red and brunette heads facing away from her? She could tell anyone about their faces, the color of their eyes, and the slant of their lips. She could tell anyone most of their habits, their likes and their dislikes. She knew this people. Knew them well. Salina paced forward, her diminutive self approaching rather fast. She stopped a few feet away, certain now. A smile bloomed on her face, full and radiant. “ Ez? Tum? Faranth, tell me it’s you!” She didn’t wait for a reply, but rushed forward to kneel down, not caring for her appearance. How could she now? It was definitely them. Her gray eyes shone as she reached forward, grabbing them both and dragging them to her in a tight hug. “This is just miraculous!” She beamed, pulling back, looking from once face to the other, forgetting her good manners in her happiness. Consequently, she forgot to say hello Kallan. But did you blame her? It wasn’t often one had an unexpected reunion not with just one, but two of your best friends!

“Yes, there is nothing wrong with taking pride in my appearance, Tumaril, I enjoy looking well, and now, I look like I could blend with the hill” He pulled a face, and surveyed the full damage to his previously white shirt. He sighed in a forlorn way. Mourning the loss of a shirt, its death caused by Tumaril. He looked at Kallan – “Don’t you laugh at me! You’re the cause of this Kallan, and I’ll not forget it” He warned, but his eyes held no malice, it was all feigned.
Ez looked at Tumaril, he looked to the floor casually, “ah, Tum you are nothing but a surpise.” He smirked to himself, his comment not overly loud. He held out his hand towards Suoh, not being anywhere near as harsh with the flitter as Tum had been with her green. But his attentions differed again, “The lake?!” He looked at her like she was mad, “How can you accidentally fall into a lake” Words stressed at regular intervals, he was shocked how silly Tum could be at the best of times, but surely… not falling into a lake?
He smiled as he looked to Kallan, the kid was pure innocence wrapped in a kooky ball.
He was assaulted with another drawing in, that lead to a hug. But the voice registered shortly afterwards, “Sassie… Admin's Note:
” He questioned, eyes showing his slightly confused thoughts, he examined the back before him, lifting a tress of hair as he could no longer see her face, it certainly was, “Salina!” He hugged her back, tightening the embrace, “Shards!” He beamed, pulling back so he could get a look at her, “Kallan, meet Salina, she’s one of the most darling girls you’ll ever meet, for every inch of mischief Tum has, Salina’s got in niceness” He smiled, for once he didn’t try to be eloquent, he was past that. He looked around him, his little company back together.

“Blending with hills could be a very useful skill Ez. Especially if you ever wanted to be a spy it would be useful camouflage. Providing you remained outside that is. Or, if you held any aspirations to being a mound of earth. It would certainly work for both of those. Either that or you could just wash it later!
Suoh looked curiously at Ez’s hand before hopping over to perch on his wrist, wrapping his tail around the boys forearm and opening up his wings a little for balance. He gave a happy chirp, seeing to be of a similar cheery temperament as his handler. Midori had settled around Tumarils neck now, appearing more like an accessory than anything else. It might be hard to tell from a distance but the little flitt had also dozed off, happy and content.
“ooOOOOoooh! Youhaveaflitt?Whatcolourishe?Haveyouhadhimlong?Minearealmostaaaaaaalwayswithme” Tumaril said, hardly a pause or breath between words. But really now, how could you expect her to waste time on breathing when there was so much happening! She did have to take a gulp of air afterwards. Just a little one mind you.
“The lake was surprisingly nice! I think I’ll go for swims more often, only I might aim to be a little more prepared for them next time. You know, have a towel at the very least. Though you do warm up quick enough if you move about, not that you can stay in terribly long then the chill sinks in~’ Tumaril stretched, raising arms high above her head and disturbing Midoris slumber just a smidge. “It’s easy to fall in lakes you know, especially when there are sneaky, stealthy rocks that jump up just before your feet by the edge! I swear that that rock was not there before I fell over it’ Tumaril shook her head sadly and gave a faux melancholy sigh
Suddenly there was some unexpected physical contact that forced a little ‘eep!’ to escape Tumaril. When she realised who her assailant was, she couldn’t help but grin. ‘Sorry Sas! It’s not us, well, its not me at least. It might be Ez though. Well. I’m pretty sure it is Ez but I’m a figment of your imagination for sure. One that’s gotten you wet and muddly just like Ez!’ Tumaril said, laughing slightly as she hugged her back. So much was happening! What a thrilling day indeed. Not impressing at Southern was a blessing in disguise it seemed!
Tumaril’s eyes widened in feigned indignation as Ez spoke “Are you saying that I’m not nice Ez? I’m hurt you know, very much so. Wounded in fact.” She pouted for a moment before turning back to Kallan and grinning “Though he is right about how amazingly nice she is!”

Giving her a disapproving sideways look, Ez shook his head at Tumaril, camouflage? Honestly? And a spy? “Tumaril… I think you’re overlooking a few minor problems there… firstly, why would I want to be a spy, secondly, even if my white shirt suddenly did become camouflage – which it’s not by the way, its just a mess – I think my hair would be a bit of a give away whatever sort of camouflage I decided to wear.” He shook his head, “I don’t do covert very well,” Then she mentioned him washing it, “You are kidding me right? This wouldn’t come out if you used the best soapsand in Pern.” He sighed dramatically, holding a piece of his shirt out and examining it.
As Suoh too his Perch Ez petted the brown, softly scratching the miniature brown, and his eye ridges, “mmm, how’re you feller?” He asked the brown softly, as the creature had chirped to him. “He’s a fine flitter Tum, how’d you manage to get two?” Ez asked Tumaril. Ez – despite having grown up in the south, had never come across a flitter clutch, he swore it was a myth the northerners had.
“You know, Tum, it’s not a common thing to go swimming with all your clothes on right? Should have given a shout, I could have given you a hand” He smirked, his perversities never too far behind his sense of being. “Though I would like to go for a swim. I may wait until the water’s a little warmer though. Maybe in a few sevendays, or so. When the sun’s not just warm to bask in.” He could swear he must have been a dragon or a feline or something in a past life. He stretched out his legs, keeping his arm extended for Suoh to keep his perch. “Oh, and don’t worry Tum, we al know how easy it for a rock to suddenly up and walk in front of you, or general trip hazards to do as such – don’t we Kallan?” He smirked, the pair was disastrously similar.
His eyes widened, slightly shocked to her words, then as he realised she was only pretending, he played it up, “Oh no. Tumaril, you are far from nice, you are one of the most wicked people I know. And I know some real Sadists Tumaril. You? They don’t even compare.” He turned to Kallan ~ “She’s okay really, but you’re warned, she does hide that side of her Really, really well.” He said as though it were a secret, behind one hand, but loud enough for Tumaril and Sassie to hear. He too a sideway glance over at the girls, then beamed at them, looking as innocent as possible – though, dark red hair, and clay brown eyes showed nothing but mischief.

Tumaril muttered something about Ez and his shirt but only the words 'pansy', 'could probably clean...' and 'use as rags.. Admin's Note:
' were really distinguishable. She was distracted by talk of flitts. "Have you never seen them before Ez? My father gave me three flitt eggs shortly after we moved to Azvon hold, one was a dudd but I got these two from the others. I might have kept them inside when they were young, I'd hate to think what would happen if they'd gotten lose in hold. Probably gotten stuck in a jar or something equally daft." Suoh gently rumbled with pleasure, akin to a cat purring. He had slight attention seeking tendancies but was easily appeased. He chirped at Ez to inform him that this fuss was not expected to stop any time soon.
"If I'd known you were about then I would have given you a shout but alas, I was ignorant of your presence here. What a golden oppurtunity lost." Tumaril grinned and poked her tongue out at Ez before continuing "I'll get you in that water sooner than that. You need to manup! A bit of chilled water will do you good!" She lightly thumped him on the arm to ephasise her point.
Tumaril fidgeted and ended up lying on her front, head resting in her hands as Ez spoke to Kallan of her wicked ways. "Don't listen to him" She said with a blasé wave of her hand "I'm not wicked or sadistic. Most people just don't have a good sense of humour and take things faaa~r too seriously"

Oh no, another person arrived to greet the two. What did he mean oh no? This was turning into a party, gonna be great fun. Kallan pulled on his best innocent face (surprisingly it looks sincere most of the time) and replied to Ez, "Why I'm just trying to be a decorator, your shirt was really too plain to begin with, although," he plucked off a blade of grass, "Up, there we go, that's perfect." Kallan nodded along with Tum's explanation of the uses of Ez's newly redecorated shirt.
Oh by Faraneth, someone who spoke Kallan as well as he did! He grinned, "Yeppers, it's a he and he's bronze.I've had him for a whole Turn maybe longer." Kallan nodded, "Yeah, I've encounted those rocks. There's a whole army of them somewhere, I'm sure."
"So," he clapped his hands, "You guys should celebrate this. All three of you ending up here at the same time." He gave a sidelong glance towards Ez, but spoke mainly to the other two. "We could go swimming, some of us could do with a quick rinse." He tilted his head, "Or we could just throw together a huge Gathering. Games, food, people, flitts, the whole thing."

Salina was absolutely overjoyed to be back among her friends. She couldn’t believe it, couldn’t believe that they’d found each other, here, at Dark Moon. They hadn’t all been together in much, much too long. She laughed as she was hugged, not even caring that was muddy or wet now. It didn’t matter. She was with her friends. She beamed and then turned to look at Kallan, including him in one of her rare, huge smiles. “Hi, I’m Salina. And don’t ever believe any word any of these two ever say.” She giggled, scooting away so everyone was included in a little circle.
Salina listened to the conversation, or playful argument really, that was swirling around her. She reclined backwards, laying down in the grass, head propped on a hand as she laid on her side, listening with amusement, gray eyes sparkling. “Hey!” She thumped Ezieki on the leg as he mentioned helping Tumaril remove her clothes. “Uh-uh, I don’t think so.” She smiled sunnily, looking at both Tumaril and Ezieki more closely now, finally noticing that they were both wet and muddy. And Ezieki was wearing white. She smirked, reaching out to finger the material lightly. Hmm…She thought maybe…
She was lost in her thoughts until Kallan clapped his hands. She jerked slightly, coming out of her reverie, and then shook her golden head, laughing lightly. “Oh, no, no. Really, I don’t think we need a Gathering or anything. Honestly. This is enough for me. Besides,” eyes shone with mischief, “I doubt Ez really wants to go swimming. You know, with two girls and all. It’d be simply horrid.” Eyed rolled skyward and then she laughed, nudging him lightly before she sat up, leaning forward, gripping his shirt lightly in her fingers. “You know, Ez…I might be able to get these stains out. Magic fingers and all.” She smiled lopsidedly, peering closer. “It’s not set in much. I can save it if you give it to me.”
She glanced up, reaching out to scratch at the little brown the male was holding, head turning until she was smiling at Tumaril. “He’s a beauty!” She scratched at the brown and sighed sadly, eyes turning pensive. “I wish I had a flitt or some sort of pet. It seems like everyone does but me.” She laughed lightly, the comment said half in jest. And then her eyes drifted to Ezieki’s wrist and then they went large and soft. “Ez…You still have it?” She reached out with reverent fingers to touch the banged up blue enamel bracelet he wore. She looked as if she were about to cry.

“Sassie, you are far to modest, and neither of us lie! Do we now Tumaril? He looked for support in his other friend. But She spoke quickly, Ez looked sidelong at Tumaril with a face like thunder as she muttered about him being a pansy. He didn’t bite though. He knew what Tumaril was like as well as she knew him, and he knew she meant nothing by it, but himself and Tum were like chalk and cheese.
“No I’ve never been graced by their presence, honestly, I’m surprised I ever put up with you without these darling creatures” He looked over the brown, watching little Suoh quite intently for a while. “Also yes, if either of your flitters take anything after yourself they would most definitely get stuck in a jar or something equally as preposterous.” He smirked, “After all you can weave your own tapestry of rambunctious tales can’t you Tumaril” He smiled wickedly to her, knowing he was teasing her.
Rubbing his leg against where Salina had hit, he continued to talk to Tum, winking over at Sassie before he continued, “And next time make certain you give me a call, for you no longer have ignorance as an excuse, you would but come across as mean if you ignored me once more.” He turned swiftly to Kallan, holding up the now sullied material of his sleeve, showing the detail on the cuffs, slowly twisting it so the thread twinkled in the sunlight, “Kallan, there is nothing wrong with some understated design, sometimes, less is more. This sort of more is certainly less.” He returned his attention to Tumaril, “And I don’t need to ”manup” as you put quite crudely Tum, I’m far too young for that. Besides, I do like to swim, and I will, but I prefer to swim in relaxing waters, not ones where you must bite against the chill.” He explained, he pouted prettily towards Tum as she thumped him on the arm, but showed no sign of pain, other than the mocking pout.
Holding Suoh in a similar position, Ez reclined down, settling his head into Salina’s lap, even without her permission. Bringing Suoh down to a more comfortable level quite slowly as not to disturb the brown. “Besides Sassie, this little fellow, gorgeous as he is, is not mine. I don’t have any pets either, Suoh and Midori both are Tumarils.” He smiled up at his grey eyes friend.
“and Kallan, trust me here, don’t ever try to bed this one – she’s fierce.” He whispered towards Kallan mouth covered by a hand once more, he had humour, and bucket loads of it too. He gave a sly smirk to Tumaril, eyebrows quirking as though to challenge his friend.
He returned to Salina’s challenge, it wasn’t below him, he looked up at her, clay brown eyes riddled with mischief, “I’d swim, and you both know I would, but can we please save it for a warmer day? I mean ladies, by all means, jump in, I’ll watch you two splash around and be quite content about it on the shore, if you so wish.” His attention piqued as she spoke over him, leaning down towards him as she spoke, “Sassie… honestly, you know me, shirt, trousers, arm, leg, for those magic fingers I’m yours.” Though is tone was jesting – there was a small element of truth, he did adore that girl, but… not in that way. She was like his little sister, and he adored her, but fortunately she was not blood, and there was nothing wrong with harmless flirting with one who was not now was there?
But she changed the subject too swiftly, he lifted his wrist, shook it gently to make all his bangles jingle together, in a noise that was not unpleasant, yet not true to perfect notes, “this?” He tilted his wrist back behind his head towards Sassie, “Of course I still have it, I treasure it, it is one of few things that is more common in my entourage.” He smiled, then returning his attention to Kallan – wrist still proffered to Sassie – “Mmm, we should do something, but… the lake’s cold.” He said in a mildly stroppy tone – like that of a child who didn’t want a bath.

“Ha. I’m amazing with or without my little living accessories and you know it Ez” Tumaril poked her tongue out at her old friend as Midori fidgeted to get slightly more comfortable around Tumaril’s neck, almost as if emphasising the ‘accessories’ comment. “They are a bit of a handful, I must admit but I think I wouldn’t be without them now. I’m far too used to their company and crazy ways” She gazed at Suoh with a look of absolute adoration that rarely graced her features. Then her eyes flicked up to Ez’s face as teased her. “Ah, well, you know me” she said with a wink “I could probably tell you a tale or two, more than a couple involving these two actually. Though some may be too grown up for your precious ears Ez” She decided to ignore the fact he was older. Pointing that out would not be amusing either. And Tumaril probably rated things on how they amused or interested a little too much. But it was fun so little did she care.
Tumaril clipped Ez around the back of the head. The sudden movement extracted a squeak of surprise from Midori who left her spot with indignation and perched on top of Sassy’s head instead. “I’m not that fierce so don’t listen to him Kallan. He’s just upset that he’s never managed to bed me is all.” She poked her tongue out at him again, in a most lady like response to his challenge. “Maybe if he were to manup a little then he’d stand half a chance”
Tumaril lapsed into silence while various short exchanges transpired. Her forearm itched you see. Blasted forearm. She scratched it lightly when Kallan’s words reached her. Her head shot up instantly. “Oh, we should celebrate” Tumaril clapped her hands to gether, eyes wide with excitement. She liked this Kallan kid. He seemed to be on the same sort of wavelength as her. A Gather would be amazing, there would be food, drink, good music and good people. Might even end with a little fun” She said with a little smirk before continuing “But I guess it is a little too much to ask for. We are but mere candidates. I doubt they’d humour us quite that much. So we’re going to have to go for the swimming idea! I’m all up for swimming again and Kallan seems up for it.” Tumaril slapped her hand on her leg “Come on Ez, it’s not that cold. It should have warmed up a little by now, maybe. It will be fun! You up for it too Sass?” She looked at Salina with pleading, puppydog eyes hoping that she’d agree.

Salina didn't seem to be bothered by Ez's way of making her his own personal pillow. She just leaned back on her palms, content, more so than she had been in a long while. Life at the Weyr was just so busy and hectic. It was always nice, much more than just plain nice, when she could sit down and relax and have a little fun. The fact that she was with two of the people she loved most in the world certainly made it better.
Salina laughed lightly at the redheaded candidate's suggestion for she and Tumaril to go jumping into the lake and have him watch. She flicked him lightly, leaning down, nose wrinkled in amusement. "I don't think so. You know you'd perv, Ez, and then feel bad because it's just Tumaril and Salina and you don't think of them like that." She leaned toward Kallan, her voice softer. "He's half in love with the both of us, you know. He just won't admit it." She winked, her magic fingers tickling the redhaired male lightly as she leaned down to give him a smacking, upside down kiss. "That's right and don't you forget it!" she said in response to his comment about said fingers.
She blinked as he shoved his wrist back and smiled, fingering the bracelet. She'd given it to him so long ago. It made her more than simply happy to see that he still wore it--as did she wear the feather he'd given her, actually, miraculously, in her hair for the day. She treasured it as well and so she didn't wear it as much, fearing to dirty or somehow ruin something Ez had kept so meticulous and had entrusted to her.
Salina made a small noise of surprise when the green firelizard landed on her head. She frowned, releasing Ezieki's wrist, to reach up and gently disentangle the little creature from her hair. The green went willingly, immediately curling around Salina's neck in the same position she'd been in with her mistress before she'd been so rudely interrupted. Salina smiled, oddly touched, and stroked the green beauty lightly before glancing at Tumaril and noting her pleading expression.
"What?" she asked and then remembered what she was being begged to do. She blinked, biting her cheek and then her hands rose in a helpless gesture. "I'd love to, but this old stooge doesn't." She smirked, fingers entangling within Ez's hair, twirling the crimson strands about her fingers, vivid in comparison to her skin. "But if he did..." She glanced down and over at the male with pleading eyes. "I'd love to go. It will be cold, but it will feel good." She pouted prettily, looking as if she were about to cry, though it was all for show. Ez knew she wouldn't cry about something so wherryheaded, but it was fun. "Please, Ez? Pleaseeee? I really want to go! And so does Tum and Kallan I bet too. You're just the party pooper."

"Pfft," Kallen lifted his head in an air of superiority, "More is more, less is less. Although in the future," He giggled unable to continue with the charade."
Kallan nodded, following the conversation between the three with his eyes. Someone who'd came from his home Hold would be surprised to see him quiet for so long. And yes, for Kallan, the whole two candlemarks was a long time for him. It was just easy, they had a lot of energy and it kept him entertained enough to not speak. After all, it was hard to listen to all the exchanges as it was, their voices almost overlapping each other. Almost, but not quite, the mark of a friendship he thought.
He blinked when he realized they were waiting on something. Oh, Ez to say yes. "Oh yeah, it'd be so fun you know it would! Plus, they're your bestest friends ever, how could you tell them no?" He looked at Ez with an aha-I've-so-got-you-you-can't-say-no-now Look. .... Very loaded look, not everyone can do that. (( ^.^; ))
