G'han was finally back and settled in Dark Moon. The clean up was done but the masquerade hadn't taken place just yet (Giving a timeframe here between those two threads, nothing more.). It was fairly early, the temperature was managable and the breeze was welcomed. G'han found himself a place to jog around and get in some excercise and training before the day really got going. This is how G'han always started his day, and it's something that kept him physically fit and able to take on whatever duties were given to him. At Dark Moon, Christae had plenty for a bronzerider like himself.
After jogging a number of laps, he began going through the different motions of the fighting style he was practically raised on. But by now, G'han was old enough and skilled enough to be the teacher and it wasn't unusual to take some free time to give a few pointers or lessons to whoever asked. It was certainly that way before he left the weyr and it was even that way at Telgar. But for now, he was glad to be alone. Though it was only a matter of time before someone decided to talk to him. Not like he'd really mind, G'han didn't try to let much of anything get to him and it worked for the most part.
Gerenanth, by now, was used to his rider's activities and didn't stir while his rider enjoyed his exercise. He'd seen G'han go a day without it, he just wasn't the same person. Maybe it was a way to relieve any stress. But who knew?

Ebbeth had spent most of the day whining away to his rider, who happened to be getting quite annoyed with the blue. Akki was the normally the one who was loudly proclaiming 'I'm boooored!' but today the roles were switched. A girl could only handle so much loud whining, so Akki eventually gave in and asked her dragon if perhaps he would enjoy a morning flight around the Weyr or something. So Ebbeth was saddled up and when Akki was safely perched on top of him, they took off. It was a rather peaceful flight, nothing fancy or exciting and it was just straight. It was enough to shut up the blue up at least, and that was all that mattered in Akki's opinion.
She thumped the blue lightly, "We better turn back Ebbeth." She could hear the silent huffs of dissapointment coming from him. It was days like these she was glad he was mute, that way at least he couldn't bugle or trumpet to get his way. Fine, fine. We'll head back. But I plan to continue my whining. The blue forewarned as he shifted his body so they could a graceful turn. It didn't take long to return to the Weyr, they hadn't gone very far. Within minutes they were above the Weyrbowl. I see someone. Hold on tight. Ebbeth warned as he descended at a steep angle. Wind whipped through Akki's hair, sending it flying behind her.
Within seconds Ebbeth hit the ground with a loud 'Thwomp!' right in front of G'han. His tail curled around G'han in a partial circle, his head lowered with his teeth bared and his wings up in the air. He actually looked vaguely threatening, however anyone who knew Ebbeth would know that he was just kidding around. You would have lost this fight G'han. He returned to a normal position as he grinned draconically. You were soooo open He taunted as his rider coughed loudly from his back.
"I think I swallowed a bug on the way down!"

G'han could hear in the distance the faint sound of a dragon in flight. He hadn't really paid attention to it though. Even if it were morning, he was still in the middle of a weyr full of dragons and the sound was a constant norm.
G'han was surprised however when he saw Ebbeth infront of him and with the dragon's tail curled around him, G'han would be at a complete disadvantage if Ebbeth chose to actually be hostile. G'han had to admit he was glad he didn't have to fight dragons. There was no way he could win when one could completely circle him like this. G'han relaxed his stance and looked up at Ebbeth. "You've got me Ebbeth, I'm completely open. I give up", G'han spoke up with a smile and a chuckle.
He peered around Ebbeth to Akki. "I assume Ebbeth is getting a bit restless if he's wanting to fight me?", G'han questioned the dragon's rider while he wiped some sweat from his brow. G'han turned his attention back to the blue. "Maybe I should call Gerenanth from his nap to take you on? He'd probably be more of a challenge to you", G'han questioned the blue.

Akki unbuckled herself from the riding gear and slid off of her dragon, landing on the ground rather gracefully. Her hands immediately flew up to her hair, trying to flatten it and get some of the knots out as quickly as she possibly could. When her hair was as decent looking as it could get, she let her hands fall onto her hips as she rolled her eyes. "He's being annoying today G'han. He can't keep still for who knows what reason." She explained simply, starting to feeling a wee bit annoyed of the blue - who ignored such feelings.
I accept your defeat. Ebbeth said smugly, as if he just won some daring match even though it was obvious that no person stood against a dragon. The blue lowered his head, eyes churning and blew hot air onto G'han. Your mighty bronze would just be embarrased when he lost to me. No one stands a chance against me. Ebbeth exclaimed, his mouth opened as if he was bugling but all that could be heard was his breath.
"I thought taking him out for a flight would calm him down." She said almost mournfully. It was clear her plan did not work one bit. She smiled weakly at G'han, "Sorry for interrupting your training."

Oh really, Ebbeth? Gerenanth questioned the blue, now wide awake. I'm afraid your smaller, older body could not match what power I have. Do not be afraid, however. I do not wish to shame an old friend in a fight he can't possibly win. The bronze's tone was that of an arrogant, regal prince.
"Oh brother, now he's awake", G'han sighed. Now he'd have to put up with his bronze so early in the morning. Well there was no getting past it now, his morning exercise was officially interrupted and there was probably no getting back to it. He looked over at Akki and watched as she straightened her hair as best she could. Part of him had to wonder if she was just trying to make herself appear better infront of him. But G'han knew Akki better than that, or atleast he thought he did. She'd never be the one to get fancy for him. "Don't worry about it. I was about to finish up anyway", G'han waved off her apology and walked over to her.
"You actually get up this early? I thought you would sleep in for as long as you could. Does your man know you're missing from his bed?", G'han questioned his bluerider friend with a laugh. Nearby was a small jug of water he'd brought with him. He knelt near it and popped it open, taking a swallow for himself before plugging it back up and letting it rest where it was.

My older body you say? How ironic this is since you are the one sleeping as I'm out exercising. Ebbeth shot back with ease, tail flicking from side to side as Gerenanth made it known he was awake. I told you bronze's aged faster than blues. You're senile Gerenanth while I am still young and intelligent. Akki groaned, rubbing her temples. So much for a quiet, relaxing day.
"It's day like these where I regret meeting you." Akki said soberly before laughing and casting a wink at G'han. Both their dragons were competitive, especially with one and another. It never got old it seemed. She brushed some hair out of her face. "I'm glad, but I still feel bad. I would have stopped him if I knew what he was doing." She said with a frown. She nearly had a heart attack when Ebbeth suddenly dove downwards. She smoothed the wrinkles out of her clothes next before straightening. She looked decent enough now. "If it makes you feel better, you're allowed one shot at Ebbeth for revenge." She offered.
Akki huffed, "I would have slept in if some idiotic beast could have managed to keep his mouth shut!". Akki did enjoy her sleep, almost everyone at the Weyr knew this so it probably was an odd sight to see - her being out so early without sleeping on someone's shoulder. She wrapped hair around a finger and twisted it. "My man and I have yet to share a bed, dear G'han. So no one is missing me nor am I missing for anyone." She said with a sniff, frowning slightly. R'xis was a more traditional type, that was clear so the chances of them sharing beds without having some crazy romantic reason was slim. She had no problem with sharing her personal life. "Wait...which man of mine are we talking about?"

Perhaps because I was already up and got my exercise in. Do not be so jealous Ebbeth, it is unbecoming of you. I won't tell anyone you would lose in a fight against me, they know this already anyway. Gerenanth shot back quickly.
"I don't mind the company", G'han winked at Akki as he walked over and poked her forehead. "Admit it, you love that you met me. Gerenanth, on the otherhand, is another case altogether", he said to her with a smile before removing his fingers from her head.
Azure, at that moment, decided it was best to pop in and perched himself across G'han's broad sholders. "You really need to give me better warning when you do this Azure", G'han chided the blue flitt, who only responded with a simple happy chirp. G'han shook his head and gave up the arguement. "Oho. Which man do I think you mean? I know you weren't in mine this morning. It was empty when I got up", G'han responded back to her as he stretched. Azure gave an annoyed chirp at the constant movement. "Oh get over it. I didn't ask you to perch yourself there", G'han chided the blue yet again. Azure had a tendancy of getting fussy if his place of rest was moving too much.

See Gerenanth? You've become so senile you can't tell the difference between jealousy and honesty Ebbeth shook his head side to side, looking rather sad on the bronze's behalf. Perhaps you should go back to sleep, it'd make you look cuter. And we all like you better when you are silent. Yes, nothing had changed between the two dragons even though they had not seen each other for a bit of time.
She reached over and softly slapped her friends hand before sticking out her lower lip and pouting. "Don't poke me. That's mean." She said in a childlike voice before laughing. "Ohhh G'han. It's the other way around. You are glad to have met me!" She announced loudly, holding her arms up in the air as she twirled around. Her blonde hair swirled around her, almost looking like a dress on the dance floor when somebody spun. She stopped suddenly, swaying "Ack, shards. Now I got myself dizzy. There's like ten Ebbeth's and G'hans dancing around me now."
"Didn't someone tell you that you weren't my man?" She asked with mock confusion before shrugging, "You know, kids don't exactly seal the deal for me." She loved the weyrbrats of Dark Moon of course, but she didn't think she would want to be a mother anytime soon that was for sure! "Hello Azure." Akki cooed, leaning towards the blue flitt. She had not seen the little guy for a loooong time. Actually, know that she thought about it she hadn't even seen Sargon around for a while. Oops. She frowned and snapped her fingers loudly and within seconds the green flitt popped in, chittering loudly. "Ahaaa. I forgot about you." She laughed with a sheepish shrug aimed towards G'han. Sargon clung to her arm, wrapping his tail around it.

I am sure your rider is thinking the same thing about you right now. You're not mute enough, Ebbeth. Gerenanth shot back. Atleast he didn't have to actually physically hear him anyway. That'd just be even worse.
"Whatever you like to think Akki. You know you'd just go to pieces if I didn't exist", G'han responded to her. He had to admit, he'd probably fall to pieces without Akki actually. But there was no need to tell her that. As much as he loved the bluerider, he knew better than to feed her ego. "Oh yes, of course. I forgot I'm the only one in this weyr who isn't your man. The most eligable bronzerider, too. I think secretly you want me Akki, you're just too proud to admit it. That's the only sense it makes for me to be the only one left out. It's okay, it's common for women to form secret crushes on me", G'han shot back. Not that he really believed all that stuff, but why not play into it?
"Have you heard the latest rumors? Apparently I'm the ladies man of the weyr. Doesn't surprise me, such an eligable bronzerider like myself", G'han mentioned to her nonchalantly. "But the most interesting one by far is that I'm the father of Christae's son. That's an amusing one right there", G'han added with a hearty laugh.

It’s too bad you aren’t mute Gerenanth. Ebbeth replied wistfully. He zeroed in for the kill. You would sound a whole lot more intelligent. Snarky comments seemed to be flying today, especially for so early in the morning. Was this a sign as to what they day would bring later on? Akki hoped not.
The bluerider placed her hands on her hips, jutting the left hip out a bit before rolling her eyes. “Please G’han. I fall to pieces over no man.” She scoffed before crossing her arms across her chest. “And most eligible bronzerider? G’han, please stop making up nicknames for yourself.” She sighed, shaking her head slightly before looking at him with a raised eyebrow. “Besides, a new bronzerider just came in you know. I met him. He could replace you.” She informed her friend, thinking of T’ran. She frowned slightly, why did the name T’ran sound so familiar? She’d figure it out later. G’han was the practically the only bronzerider at Dark Moon (Excluding P’rin) but it seemed he wasn’t anymore.
“I hate to tell you this G’han. But I’m actually the father of her son. He looks just like me.” She said casually with a simple shrug. G’han fathering Chiron? Now that was a weird rumor. They looked nothing alike. Plus the idea of him and Christae being together slightly creeped her out, she had to admit.
Akki knotted her fingers together, and kicked at the ground slightly. “Hey, speaking of R’xis. I know, delayed right?” She bit her lip and eyed G’han. “What do you think of him anyways?”

G'han shrugged his shoulders. "Think what you will. I didn't start these rumors. It is a bit flattering though", G'han said simply as he closed his eyes and let the morning breeze blow through his hair. The cool air was welcome against his sweaty, hot skin.
He looked back at his bluerider friend with a smile. "You always have the most interesting things to say my dear. You always surprise", he said. He then looked at her curiously. Was she actually asking something like this of him? Was she wanting approval from a friend or a critique? "He seems like an upstanding fellow. He seems wound a bit tight, but if he's with you I know he'll loosen up", G'han commented as he shook his head. "What prompts this anyway? You're not asking me for advice or anything are you? That'd make our friendship look semi-normal. Could we handle that?", G'han questioned her. He had to admit the change of pace in their conversation was refreshing, but it seemed a bit unusual for the two.
Yet you are mute and it does nothing for you. Gerenanth replied in turn. These two could go at it all day, and all day they had.

"Flattering?" Akki repeated with a giggle that escaped from her. "That you're sleeping around? At least, that's how I'm reading it - between the lines of course." She said with a grin. She always read things between the lines if it meant she could get a much more interesting story out of it. It was a bad way to start rumors, but she couldn't help it.
"I need interesting things to say." Akki admitted before continuing, "No one would want to be my friend if I had boring things to blurt out, right?" She hated the idea of being friendless, alone. Others could handle the concept of being isolated, but Akki couldn't. She thrived in crowds, lived off of knowing people. If she was forced to do something by herself, she could feel herself withering away.
"Is our friendship ever normal?" She shot back at him with a grin. The word 'normal' did not apply to this bluerider. She lifted her thumb to her mouth and gnawed on the corner of it, a bad habit that was also probably unattractive. "I dunno. I just figured it would suck alot if my best friend and my guy didn't get along." She replied, sounding quite like a girl for a moment there. She slapped G'hans back happily, returning back to her normal guy-self, "So you better get along with him! Or else I will snap your neck."
I was born mute because they didn't want my intelligence to threaten other dragons. They were afraid that if I could be vocal, the other dragons would realize how dim they are in comparison. Ebbeth explained to Gerenanth, making up a story right then and there. But it didn't work however. You look really dumb when standing beside me. I am mighty, you know.

G'han rolled his eyes. "You always read too much into things", G'han responded dismissively. "You would know if I actually started doing something like that", he added as an after thought. Which it was true, Akki would probably be the first to know of the bronzerider started sleeping around. But with G'han, that wasn't very likely. Not by his intention anyway.
"Yeah, yeah. We'll get along fine", G'han waved off Akki's girly moment. He couldn't believe she was acting this way. "Don't get too girly on me, then I might actually consider re-adjusting this friendship of ours", he replied with a wink. No sooner had he said it, she slapped his back. "Hey! That kind of hurts. My muscles are sore", G'han spoke up as he rubbed his back. "Like I said. There won't be any trouble. Unless he hurts you or messes up, then I'll have to break a few bones", G'han reassured her, then cracked his knuckles on the last bit for emphasis.
G'han certainly had the power and the arrogance to make sure he backed that claim. He may not have shown it outright, but he did love Akki in some way atleast. No one would dare try to mess with her if they knew what was good for them, G'han would be breathing down their neck in an instant. But there were no real outward signs of hostility. G'han didn't have anything against anyone, unless you messed with someone close to him.
You speak of intellegence, yet I haven't seen or heard evidence of it. It's just hot air, literally. Gerenanth was quick to respond. Oh how him and Ebbeth could just keep this up all day, to the annoyance of both their riders.

"Things are boring otherwise." Akki said with a hint of disparagement. Things would be far less interesting if she took them as they were. She had to get her fun from somewhere right? So what better way then to mess with peoples words until she got what she wanted to hear - even if it was horribly incorrect. "Of course I would be the first to know." She scoffed. She liked to know what was going on in the Weyr at all times. If G'han was sleeping around, a drudge would have told her by now. Akki and the drudges got along well, both had a love for Weyr gossip.
"You better." She warned once again and hopefully for the last time. She didn't really want to choose sides if G'han and R'xis did end up fighting for some reason. She had no idea who she would have chosen. Both were her friends though G'han she had known for longer. However, there was the fact that her anf R'xis were more or less an 'item' now. She rolled her eyes. Her? Getting girly? Was that even possible? She had her doubts. Even if she managed to make herself look feminine on rare occasions, she still had that 'guy' personality of hers.
She gave G'han a rather disguested look as his rant reached her ears. She lifted her arm and slapped him again. "Don't you dare get soft on me!" She said loudly, eyes wide with horror (Mock or real? It was hard to tell) She rapped her knuckles against her hip bone. "Besides. I can take down any guy or girl that messes with me." She said with a nod. She hated the idea of needing someone to protect her. That seemed so...clingy? No, that wasn't the right word. It was just not her. She was independant (At least she liked to think so). She didn't want someone to fight her battles for her.
I try to dim myself down around you. That way you at least won't look horribly stupid when close to me. The blue said rather simply, as if this was a common fact. Akki was getting very annoyed with her blues banter now and was moments away from snapping.

"Akki, don't make me say don't worry, because that's not something you're really known to do. We'll get along just fine", G'han said simply, still trying to wave off her concerns. Why would he have a problem with R'xis anyway? If he made Akki happy then kudos to him.
G'han wiped his brow again, sweat drops still forming. "You want to go get a bite to eat with me? I could use some time to cool down over a glass of water", he asked simply. He looked up to the general direction of his weyr and shook his head. "Those two are going at it early today. I wish that bronze would just sleep so I wouldn't have to hear him.
The bronze gave a snort at his rider's comment, but paid it no more mind. Ebbeth, think what you like but we all know the truth. This is no act you're putting on. You're making yourself out to be better than you are. It must be something all old timers do.

“The concept of worrying means nothing to me.” She laughed. It was true, Akki rarely worried about anything. At least nothing serious. She often worried about her friends suddenly turning on her and pummeling her. But that was just the usual stuff for her. Still she was glad that G’han would get along with R’xis. It would have been a bother otherwise.
“I’m always up for food.” She admitted. She hadn’t eaten yet today. In fact, she often forgot to eat unless someone reminded her too. She would head down to the kitchens and then get distracted by something. She often went a day without food without realizing it, only to have Ebbeth point it out later. It was a bad habit but her attention span wasn’t long enough to remember that she was supposed to feed herself. With G’han there though, maybe he would make sure she ate before she ran off to find something new and exciting to do.
Since I am older than you Gerenanth. I can punish you for not listening to your elders. Ebbeth harrumphed. If he wasn’t mute, he’d be bugling and trumpeting his heart out right now at Gerenanth. Maybe that was why he was born mute, he was loud enough as it was.

"Of course it doesn't", G'han rolled his eyes as he spoke and mock agreed with her, just to humor her. True or not, she did seem to worry about this now. G'han was nearly tempted to mess with R'xis often just to see the reaction he'd get from Akki. Well, from both of them really. Wasn't that the fun of doing anything? Seeing the reaction you get out of people? Or in some cases, hearing it.
"Good. I'd prefer company", G'han responded in turn. It was true, he'd rather not eat alone if he could help it. G'han did have his moments where he did like to be on his own, but more often than not he wanted the company of others. Mainly the people he considered friends. G'han extended his arm, hook fashion, to Akki. One of those things about being a gentleman, but G'han would only be so bold to do this with Akki. After all, he couldn't do this with Rhia, and if he did this for the weyrwoman then it was something formal.
I'm afraid age doesn't matter, old wherry head. I'm bigger and outrank you. If anything, you listen to my orders. Gerenanth responded back, arrogant as usual. G'han, by this point, was grinding his teeth together. "Would one of you shut it and give it a rest? I'd like to atleast have a meal in peace!", G'han finally exclaimed. It wasn't so much Ebbeth as it was Gerenanth in combination with Ebbeth. G'han knew those two wouldn't let up unless some outside influence interrupted it.
