N'kal stood at the edge of the Weyr Bowl with his great bronze Asuth beside him. The pair had decided to meet the other riders of the Weyr, as they would have to do anyways, and why not now? It was as good a time as any. He had a list of names that was given to him. Names of riders and their dragons, followed by the color of the dragon. He held a mental note of the number of wings that he would be looking at with amount of riders and dragons available to him.
He had had Asuth inform every dragon that the Weyrleader would enjoy meeting each of them in the Weyr Bowl after they had broken their fasts. And now all the pair had to do was wait for the others to come, as he knew they would.
Asuth chuckled in his rider's mind You are beginning to overthink things, mine. They will come, and we will wait. It is as simple as that, the dragon was pleased with himself, as he should be. The late start to win the queen, bumping his rider to the Weyrleader position rather unexpectedly.
N'kal smiled at his dragon and patted the hide of his neck before scratching the great bronze's eye ridges Yes Asuth, you did very well, as you rightly should have he could not deny the pride he had in his dragon of late. He had won over many other dragons, from many other Weyrs as well as from this one.

Still curious as to who the new Weyrleader is? Ebbeth asked lazily, picking his head up off of the weyr floor as he stared at his rider with whirling eyes. Akki looked up from the clothes she happened to be folding at the moment and nodded. "You know I am.". She still had not seen the man, and her curiousity towards him was building quickly. Ebbeth flicked his tail in amusement, I was told that he waits in the Weyrbowl to meet the riders of Darkmoon.. Hearing this, Akki grinned and dropped the clothes. They didn't really need to be folded, right? She could easily do that later. "What are we waiting for then?" Akki asked, heading towards the stairs that led to the Weyrbowl so she could grab Hasima along the way.
She went quickly down the stairs, and almost fell a few times over her own feet. She poked around for a second before spotting her fellow rider. "Hasima, come on. Did Rimith tell you the new Weyrleader is waiting to meet riders? We have to go." She said, grabbing the girls wrist and skipping towards the Weyrbowl. Both riders paused for a second when they reached the bowl, noting a man and dragon at the edge of it, it had to be them. Akki flashed a grin at Hasima and they made their way to the man. Soon as they reached him, both Ebbeth and Rimith appeared in the sky above and slowly spiralled towards the ground.
Akki noticed the scars on his neck, and wondered for a second what happened before smiling crookedly and hooking her hands behind her head, rolling back and forth on the balls of her feet. "Am I right to assume you're the new Weyrleader and this handsome dragon beside you is Kaith's mate?". Ebbeth and Rimith landed on the ground with a soft 'Thwump'. I send my greetings to you and your rider. I am Ebbeth, and the overly boisterous girl is my rider, Akki. Ebbeth sent to Asuth pleasantly, proceeding with the customary greetings. Rimith looked up at the dragon, who was much taller than she (As were most dragons) and was slightly daunted before also sending her greetings. I too send my greetings to you and your rider, I am Rimith and the other girl is Hasima.

Asuth nodded his head at the two dragons, Greetings Ebbeth and Rimith. I am Asuth, of the new Weyrleader N'kal. Take no offense at the harshness of his voice, it has never fully recovered from the scars your riders have noted, he said gently to them so that they may warn their riders appropriately. The bronze seemed to sit straighter now that there were others there, and he, like any dragon, would remember the names of the dragons and their riders. Or, at least the dragons.
N'kal smiled at the girls, "Yes, I am the new Weyrleader, N'kal. And this beastie is Asuth, Kaith's mate," he said in response to Akki. His voice was hard to listen to, unpracticed still as the Harper had only just been sent for and he doubted that one would be ready immediately, as he had a difficult case. But he would be using the sharding thing a lot more than he normally did, and that in and of itself would help. He turned to Akki, "You are the Assistant Candidatemaster?" he asked, though the words seemed to blend together. He was certainly not used to speaking such long titles since the ruining of his voice. "Fine dragons," he noted simply, smiling at the little yellow as well as the blue.

Ebbeth shifted slightly, eyeing his rider warily. Both blue and yellow knew that Hasima would not say anything about the mans voice, the girl was too shy and would never say anything that could be considered even slightly offensive. Akki on the other hand, had the unfortunate talent of saying blunt things without realizing it. We welcome you to Dark Moon. Ebbeth said, turning back to Asuth and grinning dragonically, So you're the one who caught my clutch-sister? I almost feel bad for you. The blue normally poked fun at his clutch-sisters and brother, who had no problem with replying with the same teasing tone about him. Rimith made a snortig noise, knowing full down that if the blue and gold ever actually fought, Kaith would easily win over him.
Akki blinked for a second, caught offguard by the mans voice. It wasn't the velvet-y tone she was expecting, but instead sounded like it hurt from not being used enough. However, even Akki had enough brains not to say anything, since the man could probably take her in a fight. She wasn't used to the sound of his voice, but was assured that she would be after she talked to him for a bit. She breathed out a sigh of relief, "Whew, I'm glad I got the right person or else this could be a little awkward." She grimaced for a second as he asked about her being the assistant candidatemaster. "I'm hoping that you've heard nothing bad about me yet, so I can make a good first impression. I am the assistant candidatemaster, but I'll never be as good as Rhia when it comes down to it." She said, finishing the sentence with a grin. She looked up at Ebbeth and then to the bronze, smiling, "Asuth is quite the fine dragon also."
Hasima shyly smiled, a small one, as the man complimented Rimith and said a barely audible 'Thank you.'. She fell silent for a moment, trying to think of something to say for she wanted to know more about the new Weyrleader and didn't want him to think of her as an unsociable being. She knew the man was new to Dark Moon, the drudges had been whispering about how Kaith had chosen an unfamiliar dragon and whether or not that was a good or bad thing. Most of them agreed that the large queen would have only chosen the bronze if he was worthy enough. The top of her ears turned slightly red as she rubbed one of her arms, asking softly "Have you met many other people here yet?"

Asuth, mate of Kaith, tells me his rider would like to meet us. Rolaranth informed Sh’rel as the man was helping himself to a cup of klah. He nearly choked when he put together the pieces that this was the Weyrleader asking to meet /him/. ~Did he say why? the dragonrider, for some reason or another felt guilty. He had not done anything had he?
Rolaranth let out a draconic chuckle He wants to meet all riders. Not just you. I do not know why you feel so guilty, wherry head.
You should have said that sooner, or at least make it sound like he wasn’t asking for /just/ me. Sh’rel replied shaking his head.
This was more fun. Rolaranth responded while stretching out his wings in the new day sun.
Sh’rel finished his klah before heading out to the Weyr Bowl. He grinned as he noticed Akki speaking with a bronze rider, most likely the man he was looking for. Of course, Akki would be one of the first to run into someone new. The Brownrider had not known her for that long but he was starting to notice a trend.
Sh’rel strode to the Bronzerider and waited for the quiet girl, Hasima, to finish speaking before clearing his throat. “I presume you’re the new Weyrleader?” he asked, but continued without waiting for an answer, “I am Sh’rel of brown Rolaranth,” Sh’rel continued with a slight bow. He was about to say something about Rol being too lazy to come down but within a few seconds the brown had settled on the Weyr Bowl next to the yellow Rimith.
As if forgetting the purpose of coming down to the Weyr Bowl Rolaranth greeted Rimith first, Greetings little yellow Rimith. the brown folded his wings carefully so he would not hit the yellow dragon. Finally he turned his attention to the real reason he was supposed to come down here, Good day to you Asuth. Welcome to Dark Moon, I am Rolaranth, and this oaf is my rider Sh’rel.

N'kal smiled at the girls, his attentions first to the talkative and friendly Akki, "Nothing bad I'm afraid. You'll have to make whatever first impressions you are able on your own. I have heard wonderful things of you though, should I withhold those as well from my mind as you make your introduction?" He was teasing someone. N'kal was almost surprised with himself as he noticed that fact. He had been so quiet for so long, that the discovery of socializing with others seemed to have overcome him and he would blurt anything out. So far no one had entirely shunned him for his horrible voice, but then again there were many more people of the Weyr he had yet to meet.
At Hasima's shy question he smiled tenderly and openly to her. N'kal himself had never been shy, simply...a loner. "I have only met a very few," he said simply, his voice still hard on the ears. He wished completely that working with a harper would help. He expected to have to do a lot more talking before his leadership of Dark Moon Weyr ended, though that simple thought seemed odd to him. He did not welcome the idea, nor was he repulsed by it. He was in neutral territory at the moment, and only time could tell if this was honestly the position for him.
Asuth turned to the blue, returning the dragonic smile as he did so, I am very honored to have flown your clutch-sister. I am entirely happy to have been chosen by her, he said, his voice rumbling with a dragon's laugh, there is nothing to feel bad for me for! Asuth watched as the brown dragon landed, following his rider, and gave a nod, Greetings Rolaranth. Thank you for the welcome, he said respectfully, though there was a hint of humor in his voice at the introduction of the "oaf" rider.
N'kal smiled at the man, another new face to memorize, which he set about doing quickly. Sh'rel of brown Rolaranth. A fine dragon and a fine rider. "N'kal of bronze Asuth. And yes, I am the new Weyrleader," he said, his voice not seeming to get any better from use thus far. Then he looked about the three, wondering if he should ask them questions here or in private? And if so what questions should he ask? Did he honestly even need to ask them questions, or should he simply spend time with them each to learn the answers for himself? He cleared his thoughts of all his worries, as there was not much that he could do about them all at this moment. "Have you any questions for me?" he asked, deciding that that was a much safer subject to start out on. He was, after all, the newcomer here.

He said any rider who wanted to meet him could.
Yeah, but I'm not a real dragon rider yet. I-I don't know if I should really be going to this thing.
The conversation continued for quite a few more candlemarks before they finally decided that K'nest would go, but he could be in the background. What neither of them expected was that there weren't many dragons there yet. In fact K'nest would be one of few so he couldn't exactly just be listening. He might actually have to speak.
And since his blue was soo large he couldn't hide or turn around now that he'd seen the small group. I'm sorry mine, if I'm causing you grief. Should I leave?
What? No, no you're fine. I'm just a little nervous. A new Weyrleader, I don't know the guy and he's going to be commanding us in wings eventually. It's got nothing to do with you, you're perfect really.
K'nest really thought he'd might be sick if he didn't get this over with soon. Anticipation always made things worse. He walked up to the small group and dipped his head. "Uh, hey, I heard the Weyrleader was wanting to meet people?" He finally actually looked at who was there and relaxed a little. If Hasmina was there it was okay for him to be there right? Then again she was probably with Akki and Akki was well.....she was herself.

N'kal noted the young rider as he approached, looking rather unsure of himself as he reached the group. He didn't sound very certain of himself either, but that was probably normal for young riders when meeting a new Weyrleader. He tried to remember how nervous he had been when he met the Weyrleader after impressing his Asuth. But that wasn't much help, as he had been young but not nervous at all. He had simply nodded at the man before shrugging and moving on to do his practice drills.
N'kal gave the boy a friendly smile, "N'kal of bronze Asuth," he said simply to the boy, his voice raspy. "And what is your name? And the name of your fine blue?" he asked. He did note the large size of the blue, a good start. The pair would be fine wingriders, the boy just needed to learn how to not fear others. Even the Weyrleader, though that was quite normal for most. Of course, Hasima had seemed nervous too, but he had merely assumed that she was shy. Perhaps this boy was the same way?

kki turned as another person joined the group and grinned, as she spotted Sh’rel. She was glad the brownrider had made an appearance, the more the merrier right? “I’m guessing Rolaranth told you all the dirty details?” She said as she watched the large brown making himself comfortable as he reached the Weyr Bowl. Hasima watched as the brown landed beside her yellow and couldn’t help but smile a wee bit at the large size difference between the two. It was pretty obvious that Rolaranth’s height trounced Rimith’s. Greetings to you too Rolaranth. I appreciate you not taking me down with your wings. The yellow replied back, with a teasing smile in her voice. Akki turned her attention back to N’kal as the man replied to her and tapped her fingers on her jawline in thought.
“I say ignore the wonderful things you’ve heard about me for now. That way if I make a bad first impression, I can use those to cancel it out.” She said with a nod. She was rather relieved that the man had heard nothing bad about her. She didn’t exactly like the idea of having the new Weyrleader disapprove of her, he could easily beat her up if he wanted too you see. She was already beginning to like N’kal though, the man seemed quite nice and polite and she couldn’t help but approve of him. Plus, she was quite sure he would make a better Weyrleader than Sh’iron did, which actually probably wouldn’t be too hard to do. It was obvious she held a bitter opinion of the previous bronze rider, and she wouldn’t deny it.
Ebbeth snickered silently, Clearly you haven’t seen Kaith in a bad mood then. He turned and watched as a brown dragon joined the growing group, nodding in acknowledgement. He also noticed another blue joining them, recognizing Rimith’s clutch-brother. Ebbeth shuffled his wings slightly and sniffed, Clearly no one has told Temesth that he shouldn’t grow larger than me. Young dragons these days, no respect. I’m glad you’re here Rimith, that way I can at least be bigger than you.
Akki crinkled her nose, did she have any questions for N’kal? What was a good question, one that would reveal all his dirty little secrets, his past and everything about him? She stopped trying to think of a question as K’nest came in sight and smiled at him, swinging her arm across the boys shoulders. “I haven’t seen you for a while.” She said with a mournful shake of her head before snapping one of her fingers. “Ah, I got a question.” She said, looking towards N’kal. “Your favourite color. What is it?”. So, not exactly a question that would reveal everything about this man.

N'kal smiled at the Assistant Candidatemaster as she propped her arm about the young man's shoulders, even though he did not seem very thrilled at the moment to be standing just there having an audience with the new Weyrleader and only a very few other riders. But N'kal was certain that others would come. However would he be able to make a decent wing out of just four dragons beyond himself? He would need at least five! He chuckled to himself, though there was no real sound to it, merely a twinkle in his eye. Laughter would never return to the rider.
N'kal smiled at the question, "All too easy, lady Akki! All to easy? For what is the favorite color of any dragonrider?" And he tapped his finger to his nose twice and gave her a wink, "The color of their dragon of course!" And he shook his head at the woman, although his smile only deepened, "Which leaves mine to be none other than bronze!"
Asuth also shook his head at the dragons as they had their own conversation. He said nothing, merely laughed at Ebbeth's response. Instead he listened in as they spoke to one another, for that was more revealing - although he woud not likely retain the information for too long. He noted the good humor of the dragons, this meant the Weyr was doing certainly well. The big bronze turned his great head upward towards the other weyrs, wondering if other dragons would arrive sooner or later? Then he brought his head back to look at those who were here now.

Akki grinned broadly as N'kal answered. It was really the answer she was hoping to hear. The bluerider pantomined clapping for a moment with a few, "Bravo, bravo." She slid her arm off of K'nest and nodded approvingly towards the bronzerider, "If you had answered anything else, Weyrleader, then I would have been thoroughly dissapointed in you." Ebbeth made a snorting noise and shook his head. She pretends her favourite color is blue, but it's actually purple. We should all be dissapointed in her. The bluerider said nothing in turn, just smiled as innocently as she could.
Hasima smiled slightly, it seemed just like Akki to favour the color purple and deny it. The shy girl's smiled then turned into a thoughtful frown as she looked around them. There were four riders here, not including N'kal, surely there were more riders in this Weyr who were curious as to who the new Weyrleader was, right? Mind you, her and K'nest were not full fledged riders just yet, but they would be soon so they counted for something. She wondered if perhaps Wolf was going to come, or if the girl was elsewhere. Putting those thoughts out of her head she tried to think of an appropriate question to ask N'kal, but in her mind everything she thought of to ask seemed to impolite, like she was trying to stick her nose into his business. Of course asking the man if he had ever been to Dark Moon before wasn't really prying into anything, but she thought it was and remained silent, listening to see if anyone else was going to ask anything.

Sh’rel smiled back at Akki, “Well, he did not tell me ALL the dirty details. He made me think I had done something to offend the new Weyrleader and was in trouble.” He sent a mock glare in the direction of Rolaranth who was conversing with the other dragons.
Rolaranth nodded in return to both Asuth and Ebbeth. The brown dragon seemed to be pleased that Rimith noticed the care in which he took to avoid taking her down with his wings, apparently not noticing the teasing in her voice. The brown’s eyes whirled green. I will try to keep that from happening but I cannot promise anything, he said as he pulled is too-large wings tighter to his body.
The Brownrider raised an eyebrow at his dragon’s strange behavior, the brown beast usually kept to himself. However, he let this go as he turned his attention back to N’kal he was a bit surprised at the sound of the man’s voice but kept the shock from expressing itself on his face. “Welcome to the Weyr, “ Sh’rel said with a grin, it felt a wee bit strange welcoming new people to the Weyr that he himself had arrived at not too long ago.
The man asked if they had any questions for him, well did he? Sh’rel brought his hand to his chin as he thought. “I heard you arrived here not too long before Kaith’s flight, from which Weyr did you come from?” He thought that was a fairly safe question to ask, he didn’t want to seem too prying but he was curious.

N'kal smiled at the boy, his eyes far more gentle than his voice, "Asuth and I flew in from Igen after golden Kaith had already risen. The silly bronze nearly dropped me off while in mid-flight before chasing after her," and he chuckled to himself. He shrugged his shoulders, "I've never been to Dark Moon prior to the day of the flight, but the transfer was decided in advance. I had not discovered the flight until I arrived, and then again, did not realize that Christae was the Weyrwoman herself until the following day," he left out the part about him blushing when he awoke next to the woman. He had not been prepared at all to have won a flight.
He gave a reassuring smile to Akki as she hid her favored color due to her dragon's shade. It wasn't uncommon, he had simply given his answer. "You are all fine dragonriders, from what I see. Hasima, Sh'rel, the two of you are not yet full wingriders?" he asked simply, making mental notes of the pair.

"K'nest and he's Temesth." He gestured towards the blue who was settling down comfortably as it seemed it would take a while. K'nest opened his mouth as if to reply to Akki but she was already directing her attention to the Weyrleader. His mouth quirked in the smallest of smiles. She was a little funny. He'd never be able to do the things she did, standing in the middle of people conversing, but she was a fine person.

Priath was sunning herself waiting for her rider to finish washing the firestone dust from her hair. Anassa had helped restock the firestone sacks because there were no more Weyrlings as of yet and SOMEONE had to do it. It almost felt like they were still Weyrlings because they hadn't been assigned to new wings yet and they still had to help with the chores since they didn't have wing duties yet. Anassa hoped that the new Weyrleader would get down to assigning them to wings soon.
The new Weyrleader wishes to meet his new riders in the Bowl.
Why didn't you say something?
I am saying something now.
Anassa hurriedly passed a towel over her hair to get most of the water out and swept it into a damp runner tail. She changed her dusty shirt and brushed the worst of the crackdust off her wher-hide breeches. She was still wearing her riding boots but she didn't bother to change them. She and Priath would be going out flying as soon as the meeting with the Weyrleader was over. She wanted to work on Priath's wide turns. She was an agile dragon but when she needed her turns to be wider it posed a bit of a problem so Anassa wanted to work on that as much as possible.
My turns are fine.
Rhia and Mneith said that is your weakness so we need to work hard at it so when we are in a wing we don't foul up the other dragons.
But do we have to work on it EVERY time we go out flying?
We can work on some other stuff later but we start out working on your wide turns.
Lets go meet the Weyrleader.
I'm coming. Duck so I can put your straps on. Anassa quickly geared up herself and her dragon. The Southern climate would quickly dry out her hair and she didn't plan on going *between* so she didn't really need to worry about her riding jacket or wet hair. She put a pack with some fruit and a skin of water along with her emergency kit on her dragon's neck ridges and climbed abord the green.
They landed a bit away from everyone so as not to shower dust on them and Anassa dismounted. Greetings to you Asuth, mate of Kaith. I am Priath, and my rider is Anassa.
"Anassa of green Priath." Anassa said as she approached. She bowed to the Weyrleader and nodded a greeting to the other riders.

“Igen, eh? I have been there a couple times, nice Weyr, incredibly hot every time I’ve been though. I think Rolaranth seemed to enjoy it” Sh’rel said once the Weyrleader answered his question. Then N’kal asked him and Hasima a question. “I’ve been a wingrider for a couple turns, actually” Sh’rel grinned before continuing, “Rol, tells me I should start acting my age. However, I do not think I have been assigned to wing at this Weyr just yet.”
The Brownrider snapped his fingers as he thought of another question, “Here’s another one for you. What would you like to be called or addressed as? Weyrleader? Weyrleader N’kal? N’kal? Or something else entirely?” The Brownrider felt this was a decent question. While waiting for a response he waved to K’nest of blue Temesth and Anassa of green Priath. “Good morning,” he said to both of them though they were here to meet the Weyrleader and not him, no need for him to be rude. Rolaranth also nodded to both of their dragons.
((I dunno *glad she doesn't have a Weyrling stuck in limbo* The flight was started /after/ the Weyrling Graduation started right? So I think it would be after... Think is the key word there))

Ooc|| Lulz:c I got completely fudged up on this one, and thought it was before Weyrling grad. Man, what is my problem? Haha, I'm going to assume you're right on this one Sparrow. It makes sense now that I think about it ;c
Akki snorted in amusement. “That’s much better than the dirty details Sh’rel. That’s just down right devious, I’m impressed.” And as if to show just how impressed she was, she did the unneeded gesture of pantomiming clapping. Of course she probably would have reacted the same way if Ebbeth told her what Rolaranth told Sh’rel. She probably would have thought she was in trouble already, and would be cursing herself all the way down to the Weyr Bowl.
Rimith watched with amusement as the large brown tucked his wings in even closer to his body. We’ll make a deal. If you clip me with your wings, I get to clip you with mine. She sent to the brown, her voice sounding almost playful. Of course due to the size difference, her wings probably wouldn’t do much other than lightly tap the brown. But that was beside the point. Meanwhile Hasima seemed happy with the fact that N’kal had answered her silent question, her curiosities now soothed. She had to feel slightly bad for the man though, coming just in time for a flight and getting caught up in the moment that would change his life from that moment.
Akki winced sympathetically. “Ohh, awkward greeting. ‘I’m the Weyrwoman and now you’re the Weyrleader, mind handing me my clothes?’ Makes for an interesting introduction at least.” She was glad that the flights she had participated in and won were ones where she at the very least vaguely knew who it was she was winding up with the next morning. Thankfully there had been no strangers yet in her bed. She grinned at K’nest introduced himself and shot the boy a playful wink before turning her attention as a dark green landed nearby.
Both Akki and Hasima grinned and nodded to Anassa in greeting, though Hasima’s smile was smaller and shyer even though the yellow rider probably saw Anassa more times that Akki. Hasima blushed as she looked at N’kal and replied with a simple answer, “New rider.” She felt almost awkward thinking of herself as a rider, not yet used to this concept and often still thought of her as nothing more than a Weyrling. It would take her a bit more time before she could comfortably introduce herself as a full rider.

N'kal smiled at the new arrival of the green rider, glad to see more people interested in meeting him. He had never beheld so many people at once before, "I'm glad to see more riders up so early! I was beginning to wonder if everyone slept in here at Dark Moon," he said with a small chuckle. Honestly he had worried that perhaps he should not have called a meeting to all riders just after they broke their fast. "Wonderful to meet you, Anassa of a lovely green Priath," he smiled at them.
N'kal smiled at the young rider, "Never act your age," he said simply, "it starts getting boring after too long. And you may simply address me as something else entirely. Let me know when you figure out what exactly that is," he said tapping his nose with his finger before looking to the next speaker.
He laughed outright at Akki, well...minus the laughing. He breathed through his nose heavily as his eyes twinkled, but his voice could not make the sound of laughter, but there was no mistaking the smile on his face as he grinned from ear to ear, nodding at the woman, "Awkward and interesting indeed. But it's the awkward and interesting moments that make life fun, is it not?" He shook his head, "I believe it's for the best that someone who at least had the intention of staying at the Weyr before the actual flight took place is better anyways, as I'm sure many will agree." Although he doubted that everyone would agree. There were always people who saw fit to dislike outcomes, for whatever reason.
His smile became more gentle as the shy Hasima spoke once more. The girl, who was a woman that simply seemed like a girl, clung near to Akki as much as she could. But he could only smile at this, making her seem childlike and almost fragile, but he believed there was a strength in her that she simply had yet to show him. "New riders are still riders my dear. You have earned your marks as any of us have, and with such a beauty dragon as Rimith to be by your side. How lucky you are," he said inclining his head to her, his smile honest and genuine as he attempted to make her feel a little more comfortable about him. He certainly did not want his riders to be nervous about him, wanting them to trust him as much as he trusted them. This was crucial in dragonriders, for they really only had each other. And their dragons of course.

Shino came out to the weyrbowl to meet the new Weyrleader. He had heard about it while doing his chores and exercises and decided it best to drop a line, even though he was not yet a weyrling rider, much less a rider. He knew his place, and he didn't mind taking orders from people.... It's just he didn't like being forced to do everything against his will. However, Shino got over it after the first few weeks of being a candidate.
As he came onto the sands of the weyrbowl, he smiled as he saw the congregation of people talking. Shino enjoyed conversing with others, especially those he had not yet met. As he came up to the group, he looked around, his dark brown hair falling into his eyes as he slid slightly to a stop. As he looked over the group, he realized that Akki was there and a few others he had not met in person yet. However, Shino looked forward to meeting them now.
"Hello there." Shino greeted cheerfully, smiling and waving as he approached the group. He liked seeming cheerfull, but today he actually was. Today he had finished his chores and his exercises, not to mention cleaned his bunk up.

N'kal turned to the newest person to approach and smiled at him. No dragon had come with him, and he seemed very young. Possibly a candidate? The thought made him beam as that meant that this boy would stand for one of the eggs from Asuth and Kaith's flight. The simple idea made him near giddy, and extremely proud of the bronze who stood next to him. "Hello yourself. I am the new Weyrleader, N'kal. Might I know something to call you?" he asked simply.
