Ooc|| While watching 'Whose Line is it Anyways' I figured a shindig was in order ;c
Akki, with Hasima and Zuhayr just a few steps behind her, twirled herself around as the three made their way to the lake. Of course Akki looked like she was either doing a really bad dance, or was flailing herself wildly in a crazed state. It was surprisingly hard to tell the difference between her dancing and seizures. In her opinion, it was a perfect day. Rukbat was up in the sky, sending its warm rays down towards the ground. Above Rimith and Ebbeth lazily glided through the few clouds that could be seen. As much as the blue rider wanted it to be her idea to go down to the lake, it was in fact Hasima’s idea. The shy girl was slightly bored, and perhaps slowly breaking out of her shell, she had asked Akki if she wanted to go down to the lake.
Of course, as soon as you said anything to Akki about going down to the lake, chances are the blue rider was going to invite as many people as she could. The lake just wasn’t the same unless you had a hustling and bustling crowd challenging each other to swimming races. She had posted a few notes around the weyr, on the candidates boards and such inviting them all down the lake for some shenanigans. She grabbed Zuhayr as the boy emerged from the barracks, and more or less forced him down to the lake which he had to admit he didn’t fully mind. It was rather stuffy in the barracks, you see.
Reaching the lakes shore, Akki spun away and faced Hasima and Zuhayr. “How long do you think it will take for other people to come down? I mean, I pretty much shouted that everyone should come down to the lake.” She said with a slight frown, hoping that people would hurry it up already and come down the lake. Zuhayr flopped onto the ground, splayed out as he stared up at the dragons that were starting to descend into the lake. He propped himself up with his elbows, “Do you think the new Weyrleader is going to come down? I haven’t really seen him yet, actually.”. Actually, Zuhayr’s flamboyant mind was just wondering if the Weyrleader was cute or not. He couldn’t really help it, most of the time when a new guy came around Zuhayr had to wonder what they looked like or not.
Hasima had to agree, she too hadn’t really seen the new Weyrleader and was quite curious as to who he was. If Kaith chose his dragon, then he must be a suitable person. Rimith stated politely as she landed, settling in the cool water. She makes a good point, I like to believe Kaith has…okay judgement Ebbeth said as he dove into the water, a dragonic grin on his face as he poked fun at his clutch-sister.

Rothmor Wandering around the area trying to get to know this new place to him.
He hears a noice in the distance, sounds like people yelling and screaming.
He begins to walk in the direction of the noice, and when he gets close enough to see what is going on, notices a big beautiful lake with a few people playing around in it, and their dragons near-by.
He begins to look to see if he knew any of the people in the lake, he has seen few of them around the weyr, but never actually introduced himself or spoke to them.
He thought about it and this was his chance to meet a few more people from the weyr so he decided to introduce himself.
Rothmor walked at calm pace towards the lake to not startle anyone. He gets to the edge of the lake.
Hello everyone, My name is Rothmor.

Hasima was the first to notice Rothmor, she saw him when he was walking down to the path, heading towards the lake. She tilted her head to the side for a moment, staring at him before looking back at the blue rider with a quiet," Who is that?". Akki looked towards the direction Hasima was just facing and frowned slightly, not recognizing the man that was coming towards them. In reply to the girls question, she shrugged. "Two marks says it's the new Weyrleader." She said with a grin. She figured it had to be, she hadn't seen the guy around before and she had never seen the Weyrleader so there was a distinct possibility that it could be him. Zuhayr flipped on his stomach and looked up at the blue rider, "I accept that bet. Prepare to lose."
Akki grinned widely at the boy, fully expecting him to lose the bet. She watched as Rothmor paused, introducing himself. Akki frowned for a split second, the man said he was Rothmor. There was no title, so he wasn't a rider...or a Weyrleader. She supposed this meant she owed Zuhayr a few marks now, much to her dismay. The frown quickly dissapeared as she grinned crookedly at Rothmor, "Are you a candidate here? I'm Akki by the way." She jerked her thumb over to the blue dragon who was resting peacefully on the waters surface now, "And that's Ebbeth.". Hasima briefly looked at the man and blushed shyly as she made eye contact with him for a second and said softly, "I'm Hasima, and the yellow is Rimith."
Zuhayr propped himself off of the ground with his elbows and raised an arm to Rothmor. "I'm Zuhayr." He replied with a quick grin as he took in the newcomers appearance, noting the scar on the mans face. He shot a look at Akki, "You owe me marks." who replied with nothing more than a sarcastic eyeroll.

The notices posted up for the gathering at the lake didn’t escape his notice, especially since the one whom had posted up was none other then Akki herself. There would be a lot of people he was betting, but that was something that he’d grown accustomed to, and actually now enjoyed large groups. Being with a few friends in a more intimate gathering was always more welcomed but at least now he didn’t shudder at the thought of their being a ton of people surrounding him. The time at the lake would be beneficial for Ersith, she was a hard working brown and could more then likely use the time at the lake to relax and interact with her fellow clutch-mates. He knew she enjoyed Ebbeth’s company, along with the company of both Serinth and Rimith. Likely there would be other dragons there that she wasn’t so well acquainted with, and that suited his fancy since he’d always hoped that she’d broaden out more. Of course if he ever told her this then she’d conclude that it was him that needed to broaden out and he was simply trying to blame his self deficiencies on her. It was true, partially, that it was him that needed to broaden out. Oh well, every one had there area’s that they needed to work on. You more then most… Isn’t that right? Don’t take it personally, I’m only teasing. Ersith sent to R’xis.
R’xis didn’t reply, merely smirked. He was so used to his dragon’s teasing these days that it barely phased him, which just made her have to work all the more harder to be an abomination. R’xis often engaged in the banter himself now, going at it one on one with Ersith. Are we almost there? R’xis asked, the wind ruffling the blond hair on his head. Ersith didn’t respond merely bugled, looking downward to where the lake was below them. R’xis raised an eyebrow some, leaning forward more to look to his dragon’s face. Don’t even think about it Ersith… Ersith muttered something about him being fearful of too many things, though in reality she did have in mind to go plunging in to the water with him still on.
Instead the female Brown landed in a clear space, waiting for R’xis to dismount and took off the saddle and other reading gear, placing it safely near a tree trunk. When he turned Ersith had already taken off to join those she saw in the distance. “Hey guys!” R’xis called out, racing on up to the group that he now too saw not too far off.
~ ~ ~
The bugle of Serinth was unmistakable, her announcing there arrival at the lake making Wolf feel quite embarrassed. There wasn’t any need for that, she explained to Serinth through there unspoken communication. Its not like there’s too many down there right now, she added in explanation. Serinth didn’t seem to agree, feeling much more cheery when others knew they were there and therefore had the chance to reply with greetings of there own. She was quite a social dragon, having been more so shy when she was a dragonet, but that shyness had quickly dwindled with her. She still wasn’t like the typical Queens whom felt authoritative and at times quite proddy. Instead she always remained herself, and that equalled one humble dragon-unlike Ersith of course. Yes but I still wanted to announce us either way… Is this a good place to land Mine? Yes, a perfect spot Serinth, good find, Wolf chuckled, waving an arm to those below in hopes that they’d see. Serinth did just as instructed, spiralling in for a neat landing on the wide expanse of land. “Well done,” Wolf told her, patting her dragon’s neck affectionately once she’d dismounted and found a safe place for her riding gear. Who knew, right by R’xis’s. Serinth followed along behind Hers, not leaving to join the other dragons just yet.
“Hello every one, a fine day for a gather like this is it not?” she called out over the other conversing voices. Serinth tossed her head playfully, carefully nuzzling Wolf’s face. The girl turned, winking one eye closed with a laugh. She scratched her dragon’s eyeridges, giving her the attention that she was constantly starved for. Go and join the others, she urged Serinth, I want you to get some interaction with them. Serinth, with one last nuzzle, went off to join the others without complaint. “It took her a bit but there she goes,” Wolf said to no one in particular, turning back around with a smirk. Serinth was now floating in the water, fanning the water droplets from her wings. Hello Ebbeth, Ersith, and Rimith. She saw it fit to greet all three at once.
~ ~ ~
Anything party-related meant that Leander was as good as there. He didn’t have any “fancy mode of transportation” as he liked to put it, meaning a dragon. Instead, to his dismay, he’d had to come the old fashioned way: walking. He heaved a sigh, using bigger steps so that he’d get there even faster. I hope that they have food there, I’m a fan of eating, he thought, I hope there’s girls there, that’s a whole different kind-of food platter. He smirked slyly, folding his arms behind his head. Let the games begin… The slowly growing group was now in sight, and he was extremely psyched to be able to attend! “Hey, I’m here, I know that you were all worried that I wouldn’t show up but I did.” He seemed to think that everyone’s mind was constantly on him, like there was nothing else in the world to possibly be thinking about. Boys who were full of them learned better as they matured, but Leander never learned anything at all except to feed his ego and make it impenetrable. “So, what fun and games are we stirring up so far?” he asked, nodding to Akki. Akki was the only one that he really knew here, there intriguing conversation from before still fresh in his mind, which was surprising since most things with him didn’t stick. He was terrible with names of people he didn’t care to remember, and that just made for awkward moments that left him waiting for some one else to greet them before he did.

Here comes trouuuuble. Ebbeth said to Rimith in almost a sing-song voice. Rimith looked up trying to locate this so called trouble and grinned when Ersith came into view. It was clear that the brown was the trouble Ebbeth had mentioned. You sure do know your flattery, huh? The dainty yellow shot back the blue as she slipped under the water to avoid a wave of water that was sent crashing towards her. Akki grinned as she watched the yellow and blue dragon have fun in the water, and her grin grew even larger when R’xis and Ersith came into sight. It was finally starting to turn into a party apparently. “Took you long enough R’xis.” Akki jeered loudly.
Rimith popped her head back up and grinned as Serinth also came into view. More trouble, dear Ebbeth?. Ebbeth slapped his tail against the lake surface and said loudly for all three dragons to hear. Hasn’t anybody told you? All female dragons are trouble. Akki watched as Serinth slinked into the water before turning to Wolf, “Any day is a good day for a gathering Wolf. Haven’t I taught you that yet?”. Akki gave out a loud and fake groan of dismay as Leander also came into sight. “Who invited the flirt?” Akki said with a mock frown, sticking her tongue out at Leander as she flopped onto the ground.
Zuhayr reached up from his laying down position and gently tugged on Hasima’s clothes, signaling for the girl to come closer. He hadn’t known Hasima for that long really, a couple of days ago Akki had introduced them to each other, but he was aware of her shy nature and was reminded of it when she slowly bent down towards him, blushing slightly. “Who is everyone?” He whispered to her, looking around as people suddenly came flowing in. He recognized Leander, from the candidate lessons, but that was really about it. Hasima lifted a finger towards the goldrider, “That’s Wolf. Her gold’s name is Serinth. And the boy is R’xis, and his brown is Ersith.” She explained in a whispery tone.
Zuhayr watched the group of people come closer and join them and spent a second watching the dragons. He looked up at Hasima and grinned slyly, “R’xis is kind of cute.”. Of course this sent Hasima into a deep blush, her face turning a dark shade of red. In a way it was like Zuhayr had just shared a big secret to Hasima, which he more or less did by admitting that tidbit of information. Of course Zuhayr didn’t think about things like this, he was used to saying what guys he thought were cute or not and wasn’t really aware that people at Dark Moon didn’t know about his sexual preference. Though some had their suspicions no doubt, for Zuhayr’s mannerisms were more or less hard to miss.

Sh’rel snored softly beneath the wing of Rolaranth that was over his head to protect him from the worst of the sun, at least until Serinth bugled. The rider sat up with a start and Rolaranth too was awakened from his nice nap. The pair had come down to the lake earlier when Sh’rel decided it was time for him wash Rolaranth and apply some oil where the brown dragon’s hide needed it. Washing a brown that was as big as a small bronze was hard work, Rolaranth had made it as difficult as possible for his rider. Sh’rel had promptly dozed off once he was done. His riding boots and shirt were scattered out on a nearby rock to dry. The shirt he had stupidly worn while washing Rolaranth, the boots, however, he had thought were far enough on shore that they would not get wet. He had been very wrong, one splash from the large brown and the boots became soaked.
“Where’d all these people come from?” Sh’rel asked Rolaranth with a yawn. The Brownrider had been quite oblivious to the signs that Akki had put up. Rolaranth didn’t answer, he looked like he was asleep again but his rider knew better. Sh’rel stretched, yawning again while doing so and went to join the group that had formed. Might as well see what was happening, he ran a hand through his hair, it was a mess. Sighing he pulled a piece of wherhide from his pocket and deftly tied his hair up in a small runnertail as he made his way over to the group that had formed. He made it over to the group as soon as Leander had made his way there, and heard what the boy said he smiled and decided to play along with the boy, who clearly thought he was a big deal.
Sh’rel put a hand on one of Leander’s shoulders and said, “We were so worried you would not show up, we did not know what to do.” He grinned and let go of the boy’s shoulder before plopping down on the ground, glancing around at the group he realized he did not know most of the people here. It seemed like he was meeting dozens of people a day at this Weyr. Figuring that since he didn’t know most of the people here they probably didn’t know him, with a small wave Sh’rel said, “I’m Sh’rel, what’s the plan for today?” he eyed Akki figuring she had something to do with the mass of people congregating at the lake.
-- Marletta raced down to the lake her wavy brown hair flowing behind her like a cape as she ran. She had only just seen the note about the day at the lake on the candidate’s board. After a few wrong turns, she finally ended up on the path to the lake. She had not made that many friends since being here, even within her candidate’s class, though she figured it took awhile to change. Since she had not had that, many friends at Ruatha, she doubted she would have many friends here. Therefore, that had happened, a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. Once she had noticed what was happening she decided to try to open up more. The trip to the lake would be good… it would be fun, she hoped.
Finally, she was close enough that she spotted the group by the lake. There were a few people she recognized, only one, Akki, she remembered ever speaking with. Immediately she identified two boys from her candidate’s class. One was… Leander? Right, she thought that was his name, he was a wherry head. The other boy, well, she was not sure of his name but she knew he was in her class. Marletta bit her lip as she advanced toward the group, not really sure what to do or say. She took a breath and made it the rest of the way to the group. “Hi Akki,” she greeted Akki first, the only person she knew.
((I take it since Zuhayr does not have his gold that this is before the flitter hatching?))

This was going to be fun. Dragons, water, and people! Best combo ever. Kallan was so there...after he finally noticed there were a lot of parchments around the Weyr. He'd been kinda wondering what people did for hobbies before he'd been hit in the face with a piece of parchment. Aparently it had fallen off the announcement board and floated on the wind until it found him. Serendipidy, eh?
Still holding the paper he alternated between running to the lake and walking quickly as he caught his breath. It wasn't too long (though he will swear by the First Egg, it took a million Turns) before he caught sight of all the people starting to gather. Yeppers, this looked like a more fun thing than what he'd been doing...what had he been doing? Anyway....
"Hey, hey...it's the, uh, the yellow person!" He declared pointing to Hasmina. Kallan was rather proud of himself for remembering her so well. He walked up to her smiling, totally ignoring the fact that'd she'd been speaking to another person and he might have interrupted, "How are you this fine day? I got this." He waved the paper as if it were a pass to get in the party.

Ooc|| It can be whenever c: Zuhayr’s flitt could just be at the barracks, sleeping or something so it can be after the hatching
“Ooo, those are fighting words Sh’rel. Fighting words.” Akki said with a grin, warning the brown rider with a wink. “I think he’s teasing you, my dear Leander.” Akki pointed out, turning to the candidate with a somber shake of her head. She had to admit that she was slightly caught off by Sh’rels sudden appearance, not seeing him coming down to the lake. It didn’t even occur to hurt that perhaps he was there before she began putting notices up all over the Weyr. She didn’t realize that she might have, perhaps, ruined Sh’rels and Rolaranth’s peaceful day. But judging by the mans teasing, it seem he didn’t mind too much.
She stuck her tongue out at the brown rider, “Stop eyeing me suspiciously Sh’rel. I haven’t even done anything yet.”. She tapped her fingers on her hip, what were the plans for today even? “The plan for today is…” She paused, trying to think of something and quickly. “Is too have loads of fun and that’s it.” She finished with an authorative nod. The blue rider looked to her side and grinned as she saw Marletta there. “You going to join us in our mass amount of shenanigans?” She asked with exuberance. You could tell that she was definitely pleased with the amount of people that were showing up to the lake, whether they saw her notices or not. Zuhayr pushed himself off of the ground and waggled his finger at Marletta. “Oi’, I know you. You’re in the candidate classes with me, right?” He asked with a crooked grin. He had to admit, he still didn’t know too many of the candidates and figured this was an ideal time to do so.
Hasima blinked in surprise as Kallan came up to her, not calling her by her name but instead by ‘Yellow person’. And of course, being her rather slow self, she looked down to peer at her clothes to see if they were yellow. They were, in fact, not yellow and she blushed a deep red as she realized he was probably referring to Rimith and not her outfit. She looked down at the parchment he was holding, and was a bit confused as to why he was carrying it around. It wasn’t like he needed it in order to talk to anyone at the party. She blinked again, trying to remember where she met Kallan until it had hit her. “You’re the one who tackled Akki thinking she was a thief, right?” She asked quietly, staring at him with wide eyed innocence as she remembered it now. He had thought someone had taken his stuff, when in reality he had just simply left it behind. She also remembered that he seemed quite interested in Rimith, and probably all dragons.

Akki's grin grew and she laughed out loud, she was enjoying Rothmor's response. She shook her head with good humour, "My dear Rothmor, clearly you haven't known me long enough.". She leaned in closer to the man and lowered her voice, as if sharing him a very important and confidential secret, "I really don't act like a lady, I'm afraid.". It was true too, the bluerider wasn't exactly what anyone would call a lady. She was too loud, too boisterous and she had a tendency to speak before thinking. So being called a lady, even though it technically wasn't used that way, she couldn't help but find it rather amusing. Hasima was definitely more ladylike than her. Shards, even Zuhayr was.
Zuhayr was more than happy to shake Rothmor's hand as he grinned. He liked a guy with manners. Of course he was getting ahead of himself now. The people he met in the Weyr so far probably knew he was rather flamboyant, but no one had said it out loud yet. Besides, wasn't he, moments before, interested in this R'xis? Yes, yes he was and he couldn't help but shoot the boy a smile over his shoulder causing Hasima, who had seen it, too blush and wonder if she should point out that R'xis probably wouldn't be interested. Zuhayr looked back to Rothmor, "Nice to meet you." He paused and listened as Rothmor said that he too was a candidate. "I'm a candidate too!" He said happily, pointing to himself.

“Yes, I am just joking, Leander.” Sh’rel added in case the candidate thought otherwise. The man did not really know Leander so he was not sure how the boy would handle his kidding around. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught Akki sticking her tongue out at him. “That is not very ladylike of you Akki,” Sh’rel said before sticking his tongue out at her.
And you wonder why people think you are younger than you actually are. Rolaranth said as the great brown stretched before slipping into the water after the other dragons who had come to the lake.
Sh’rel snorted. “Haven’t done anything yet? I’m not sure I believe you. I am, however, up for loads of fun.” He leaned back resting on his hands as he waited to find out what was included in this ‘load of fun.’
-- Marletta grinned back at Akki and nodded. “I saw the note on the candidate’s board and figured it’d be more exciting than what I had planned.” The girl took a seat in the circle that had formed and was surprised that the boy she had recognized earlier was now pointing his finger at her, what had she done? Oh, he just recognized her, she thought with a sigh. Marletta nodded again, “Yes, I am in your candidate class. I’m Marletta, and I am sorry but I do not know your name.” she said as she got to her knees and offered her hand. Perhaps by meeting this boy here she would have someone to talk to in class, though they did not have that much time to do that, they were supposed to pay attention in the classes.

She crooked an eyebrow at Sh'rel, and placed her fists on her hips. "Ooo, Sh'rel. You stick your tongue out at me one more time, and I'll bite it off." She warned with a shake of her head, snapping her mouth shut so her teeth made an audible 'Clack' sound.
Akki smiled innocently, her eyes twinkling. "I haven't done anything yet Sh'rel. I added the 'yet' because it gives me plausible denialbility. Or something like that at least.". She made shooing motions at Sh'rel as the man leaned back, relaxing. "Oi, oi. Get up you lazy man. You have to help me plan said loads of fun. I'm not capable of doing an one man show, so come on."
I'm sorry that my rider is completely harassing yours. If you want me too, I can gobble her up in a staged fit of rage. Ebbeth offered politely, as if he made this offer on an every day basis. Which he probably did.
Zuhayr was more than happy to shake the girls hand, he loved the idea of knowing more people in the candidates class. "Marletta, right then, I'll remember that so I can yell your name across the Weyr when I want to talk to you." He said, nodding as he grasped her hand and merrily shook it. Zuhayr leaned in closer, lowering his voice to a soft whisper. "I was forced to come down here, absolutely no choice in the matter. I think the Assistant Candidatemaster is crazy."

"Well, yeah, but ..." His face turned a little red, seemed suspiciously like a blush, "I-uh, it wasn't that bad of a tackle was it? Just more of a little push, no I wouldn't push a girl, umm ... So how are you fairing today? Aren't you taking care of a dragon still? Supposed to have bad memories right? Good creatures, dragons, yeppers." Kallan bounced a little. He'd never be a good liar. Although he probably should have re-seeked the girl out to apologize again. He'd just forgotten about it completely. What with all the people and ... well, just stuff.
~~~~~~~
K'nest slowly made his way towards the Lake. He'd been thinking of making his blue bathe when he'd seen a flyer for a little ... erm 'shindig' at the lake. It seemed like a decent idea and he would still be taking care of Temesth by getting him clean. And Temesth might even make friends. It'd make the blue perhaps get out from under K'nest's feet.
“Bite off my tongue? That would hurt, and I think it would be unnecessary. Besides, you stuck you tongue out at me first.” Sh’rel accused, pointing his finger at her and narrowing his eyes, he could not however keep the grin off his face. When the bluerider began to make shooing motions at him, he sat up, raising an eyebrow. “I was not aware that I was a player in this show.”
That is alright, I think my rider can handle himself. However, if you want we could send a wave of water up to them? Rolaranth eyed the group congregating on the shore, they were not too far up on the sands, a wave caused by dragons could surely reach them.
He exaggerated a sigh and slowly got to his feet wiping the dirt off his trousers. “I suppose, swimming could be part of this plan?” He looked at the others in the group wondering if they would be up for swimming. His eyes settled on the most recent arrival, K’nest. “Hello there!” Sh’rel greeted the newcomer. “I’m Sh’rel of brown Rolaranth” he stuck out his hand.
---
Marletta’s eyes opened wide when Zuhayr said he would call her name across the Weyr. Would he really do such a thing? He didn’t seem shy so it seemed like a very good possibility, that is IF he ever wanted to talk to her. “Hopefully I’ll be nearby so you don’t have to yell TOO loudly,” she finally replied with a small smile, she did not want everyone in the Weyr to know her name from it being yelled by this boy. What would that seem like?
A bigger smile appeared on her face when Zuhayr said he thought the assistant candidate master was crazy. She giggled and shook her head, “I don’t think she is that crazy…” she trailed off as she watched Akki make shooing motions at the Brownrider, “On the otherhand… I think you may have a point there.”
