Rhia stood next to Christae in the Weyrling Courtyard, a basket with shoulder knots held in the crook of her arm. Mneith and Kaith were behind their riders, the two massive dragons easily dwarfing the two humans. Kaith was huge compared to Mneith and he was the largest of the browns. Both WLM and WW wore their riding clothes, their wherhide boots cleaned and buffed until they shone. Both dragons gleamed with oil and their riding straps were well oiled and supple. Kaith's hide was a bit pale, testament to her and her rider's long hours but she was otherwise healthy. Mneith had begun to get a bit plump because his rider was spending so much time with the Candidates and he was not flying as much. Rhia was taking steps to remedy that. She did not want her dragon to become overweight.
Rhia glanced at Christae and the WW nodded. She set the basket of shoulder knots down and grabbed the mallet to ring the bell. She used the peal to summon the Weyrlings and grinned as several of the Weyrfolk and other riders came out to watch the ceremony. Most of the dragons who wanted to watch were sharing the larger ledges closest to the W'ling courtyard. The only dragons that were not w'lings in the Courtyard were Kaith and Mneith. The Weyrlings did not know that they would be graduating today.
Should I tell the Weyrlings that they should come dressed up in their riding clothes or will you my Queen?
I will tell them.
Kaith lifted her head and bugled. All Weyrlings and their riders report to the courtyard in your best. You have ten minutes.

Akki was waiting for the Weyrlings to start to trickle in, fully knowing what was about to happen even though the weyrlings themselves had no clue. She had been resting on top of Ebbeth as the blue perched himself on one of the ledges where he had a good view before deciding that she wanted to be down there too. She slid off of her dragon's back and after a few minutes found herself with some of the Weyrfolk as they too decided they wanted to watch. She crossed her arms and grinned, excited to see what would be happening.
---
Rimith picked up her head off of the ground and turned it, her attention was caught. She looked to Hasima with whirling green eyes and told her rider politely, Kaith has asked us to go to the courtyard. And to where your riding clothes. The dragon really didn't know what was going on to be honest, and just assumed it was another weyrling lesson even though it involved the riders to wear their riding clothes. Hasima looked up, startled at this information. Was something going on? Did she forget about something that was going on, which was rather likely actually. She slowly got up and gathered her stuff, her mind starting to fill with questions. Was she in trouble? Was everyone being asked to go to the courtyard or just her and Rimith?
She slowly put on her riding clothes, smoothing out the wrinkles with her large hands as she looked over Rimith. The yellow dragon seemed to be gleaming and Hasima was quite glad that she had oiled Rimith. She tugged on her boots so her foot was fully in them before grabbing a comb and fixing her hair. She stood for a moment in front of Rimith, who gave her an approving nod before they both set out towards the courtyard. She had to admit, she was caught offguard when she noticed the people there.
Quickly remembering her manners she bowed to Christae and Rhia, "Greetings to you and your dragons."

Wolf had just been entering the Weyrling Barrack's after having taken a lovely walk around with Serinth, just to keep up both of there exercise schedules. Serinth had also just recently been fed so Wolf was glad that the shimmering Gold wouldn't be in any hurry to eat again. Serinth turned her faceted eyes toward where Her's would be emerging from after she was finished in the Barrack's. When the bell sounded off Serinth raised her head in alert, bugling. Mine, to the Weyrling Courtyard. Don't forget to change in to your riding attire! Wolf bore a huge grin, quickly changing her clothes, having become quite accustomed to quickly getting ready with time to spare! You're quite a proddy dragon, aren't you? Wolf teased affectionately, chuckling softly as she emerged in to Courtyard, having given her hair a once-over with a comb. Since it was naturally straight, with some flare at the sides, it tended to be in its proper place most days. At the sight of Christae standing next to the Candidate Master she felt immediately alarm, it showing in her eyes. Do you have any idea what this is about my love? she asked, hoping that Serinth had already been informed, thus easing her growing worry. Serinth rumbled amusedly in reply. Oh, come now... Wolf smirked, approaching the Weyrwoman and Candidate Master with that very expression. "Weyrwoman Christae," and then… "Candidate Master Rhia," she greeted the pair, bowing once in turn to each. "I'm right in assuming that we shall soon find out what this is about?" Wolf chuckled nervously, prodding two of her fingers together in front of her. "If this is about those missing meat rolls a few days back I assure you I hadn't meant to take that many, I just figured that hey, they're here... People need to eat... Well, person... Person needs to eat," she grinned sheepishly, pointing a finger at her own self. It seemed that while Serinth went through her bouts of hunger as she grew Wolf did too, though of course not to the same unbelievable degree (otherwise there'd be too much Wolf to fit in to the Courtyard). ~~~
R'xis came running in to the Weyrling Barrack's from the direction of the lake. Ersith, honestly, get out of the water. We're going to be late you snarky creature. He narrowed his eyes playfully, even though the dragon couldn't see; rummaging through his mess of clothes like always. Once he found his riding clothes he threw them on, patting down the bits of hair that were sticking up on his head. Drying off in the sun after a swim didn't always tend to leave his hair in the best of shapes, oh well. It'd likely only be that the Candidate Master wanted them for more drills, right? Call me snarky again and I'll chew your leg off, she replied, sounding quite serious about it-though she was evidently not. Yes, the Candidate Master would just love that. R'xis sent sarcastically, racing out in to the Weyrling Courtyard minutes after his sister.
It was no surprise that the first thing he spotted was Akki, and then second was Weyrwoman Christae. He tugged at his clothing, surprised to see the Senior Queenrider here. "Weyrwoman Christae?" he called out to her, "Its an honour, like always." He bowed to her, jumping when he turned and saw his sister standing right next to him. She shot him a playful glare, which he politely ignored in the company of Christae and Rhia. He bowed to Rhia there after, winking at her in a friendly-manner. She'd really helped him to cope with the fact that Ersith was, in fact, a female. Knowing that the Candidate Master-one with such an important title-had a male dragon really eased his pains. Of course nothing could ease his pains more then knowing Akki had Ebbeth. He took in the fresh air, looking up to the ledge where the dragons were perched comfortably. Then, being the perceptive-type that he was, he noticed that the Weyrfolk were gathering around as if some kind of event was taking place. "Is their some-sort of emergency?" he asked, far too curious to keep the question to himself. He glanced over at Akki, knowing that it was probably best for him not to get overly excited at her being her. He didn't want Christae to think that he was back at square one, he'd accepted-for the most part-that being a Weyrling meant that he had... boundaries... You're like a newborn hatchling on a juicy piece of meat. Ersith took the opportunity to privately say. Ersith? Zero tolerance for that, zero. Zero, that's about your intelligence, quite true. I say this lovingly, some one has to tell you.

Anassa straightened the riding straps on Priath, nervously smoothing the worked wher-hide that showed up brightly against the dragon's dark green hide. Priath was a lot larger than she had been when she first hatched. It was hard to imagine such a small creature had become so large.
We must hurry my love. The green's voice was a sweet, lilting croon, reminiscent of her rider's musical voice. Anassa pulled her sun-streaked brown hair into a runner-tail at the nape of her neck where it wouldn't interfere with her riding helmet. She had really wanted to cut it shorter again but she hadn't found the time with a growing dragon. Priath was two Turns old now. It was hard to believe that she was already almost 18 Turns old herself. She had been on the verge of her 16th name day when she had arrived at Dark Moon. Her family was proud to have a dragonrider to boast of, even though some had tried to say she was only a greenrider. Her parents had pointed out that at least she was a rider.
Anassa saw nothing wrong with her green. She was a beautiful, dark green dragon with black dappling her hide. That hide now gleamed with oil. She had taken the time to scrub her dragon yesterday and oiled her this morning. She was a large dragon even though she was only a slightly larger than medium-sized green. She easily dwarfed her petite rider and the Harper Hall apprentice turned rider was proud of her beautiful dragon.
The young woman went to the chest at the end of her cot and tugged on her riding clothes. She passed a cloth over her riding boots to clean some of the firestone dust off them and then slid her small feet into them. "Ready love."
She slid out of the room, followed by her dragon. Little did she know that the drudges were waiting until the last young rider left to start packing their things and moving them to new weyrs chosen with the dragon sizes and temperaments in mind. Priath followed and Anassa held the door open for the green. The Weyrlings were almost too big to fit into the Barracks. The stone already bore cracks from when one of the dragons had gotten caught because he was too big to fit through the doors and hadn't been transferred out to a new weyr yet. It was an amusing story but little did she know that the dragon in question had been her WLM's dragon. The pair made their way to the WLM, noting with surprise that the Weyrwoman was there.
"Weyrwoman Christae, my regards to you and your great Queen." The young greenrider said with a low bow. She turned to her WLM and bowed as well. "My regards to you and Mneith Weyrlingmaster. I wish you all Thread-free skies." Her stance and words spoke of her Harper training. At least the Harpers still supported the dragonriders.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Kilzanth duck down!" P'rin shouted with exasperation. The dragon was too busy trying to see into the Weyr Bowl to see who was heading into the Weyrling Courtyard to listen to his frustrated rider.
The young bronzerider lightly punched the flank of his dragon. "Duck down you oaf! I need to get your straps on." P'rin had been oiling his dragon when the summons came from the Senior Queen and he was trying to hurry to finish getting ready. He wanted to put the straps on his dragon before he changed into his new riding clothes. His master had sent him a new pair of riding breeches made of sturdy wher-hide and dyed a reddish-orangish brown to match his bronze dragon.
Kilzanth was huge, he was less than half a dragon-length shorter than his sire had been and the bronze was tinged with red; the lightest hue was on his head and neck, and it became darker as one moved down his body, until the tip of his tail, which was black, as were the top edge of his wings. His wings were speckled with gold flecks and shone with oil.
If you had woken earlier you wouldn't have had to rush. He was calm though his lips curled with derision.
"How was I supposed to know the Sr. Queen would summon us? Now bring your head down!" The dragon finally obliged and P'rin slid the straps over his wedge-shaped head. "Good. Now I've got to get dressed. I didn't want my new breeches to get full of oil." He quickly changed into a fresh white shirt that showed starkly against his dark skin and tucked them into his new breeches. His former Master had left him room to grow. He was tall and lanky and his blue-black hair was already pulled back. He slid his boots on and grabbed his riding jacket.
"Let's go you wherryhead." The insult was spoken with great affection. He ran lightly across the Weyr Bowl. from the ground-floor Weyr he and Kilzanth had been occupying. The larger dragons had already moved out of the Barracks, the bronzes and the young Queen at least. They would be moved off the ground floor once they had finally graduated. P'rin stopped short when he saw the Weyrwoman standing in the courtyard next to the WLM. He shouldn't have been surprised since the Sr. Queen had summoned them but he hadn't really thought about it. Was this some new lesson or were they in trouble? Why was half of the weyr out?
"Weyrwoman Christae, Senior Queen Kaith." He bowed low. "My respects to you both." He bowed again, slightly less low. "WeyrlingMaster Rhia, Mneith, my respects to you as well." He stepped back so that he was out of the way. Kilzanth voiced his greetings, complimenting the Queen on her beauty.
The Queen summons us.
Sorcha blinked and sat up. She had been enjoying on of the few times in the past ten turns (it felt like at least) that she'd been able to sleep in a little before that little interruption. She now knew exactly why a potential Candidate wasn't allowed to have a baby flitt and a dragonet. It was just too much work. Although it wasn't too bad because at least the flitt had hatched a little bit before Lirlith.
Her would never be very well trained though. She hadn't enough time to work on that. She felt that she neglected him some of the times. Shards, you just need to know his name to see that. His name was little blue, blue, or the blue. Nothing more than a designation of what he was. It was because of that that she had spent time petting and playing with him as Lirlith grew older.
She glanced at the silvery creature. No matter how much she stared at the moonstreak she didn't think she could ever memorize the patterns of the streaks of blue, black, and white. It amazed her that she had Impressed at all, not to mention this beautiful creature.
I said the Queen summons us, you dimglow.
"Summons just us or summons all the weyrlings?"
Does it matter? We're going no matter which it is. Get dressed in your best.
"It would have been nice to know," she muttered. Sorcha gathered her clothes and quickly put them on. That mangey dragon could have the nicest manners to anyone but her chosen. Bossy, shardin ...
You are aware that I can hear you? And that I know you don't mean it.
She ignored the words of her bonded as she moved over to where her brush lay and tried to make her hair presentable. After a few moments of trying to worry whether or not this meeting was something to worry about she let it go. She wished Lirlith would just tell her, but the moonstreak seemed to like teasing her like this occasionally. She just hoped it wasn't something hugely important.
"Okay, lets go."
Well since you say it, sure. It wasn't important until now was it?
"Oh do such up." Once they left the barracks she turned to glance over the dragon to make sure she looked fine. Not like she'd be able to do anything about it, Lirlith had grown so much a quick oiling wasn't possible now. Not that it ever was, she had ever been insistant on making sure her hide was gleaming perfectly. And perfect took time the moonstreak assured her.
Lirlith pretended not to notice the attention, but moved with her most smooth and self assured gait, all the while catching the sun to her best advantage. Sorcha smiled, but didn't say anything. The smile wavered a little when she noticed Little blue hadn't been oiled recently. He'd wasn't in danger of having his hide crack or anything, he just didn't gleam like Lirlith did. Well, she'd just remedy that soon. She scratched his eye ridges as he settled himself comfortably on her shoulders.
"Greetings to you and your dragons Weyrwoman, Weyrling Master." Sorcha bowed slightly before retreating to the growing group of weyrlings. Apparently this was some sort of meeting or lesson. The other weyrfolk didn't escape her attention either. This wasn't going to be an ordinary meeting.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
K'nest was sitting in the library. He'd been looking through the hides and scrolls there. It'd occured to him over the course of his training that perhaps he'd do well to learn a skill or two. After all the Thread wasn't falling yet, so he had time to learn something useful. The Weyr had done much for him and he should give something back to it.
With that in mind he had started learning to read from a drudge he'd found one evening. She seemed to be disgusted by dragonriders so he made no mention about his blue. She'd taught him fairly quickly. He'd found her a smart person and she had a way of explaining things to made it all sound so simple. Thanks to her he now knew how to read and write. K'nest smiled, he had wrote her a thank you note when they had finished. He almost swore there had been a little tear in her eye. Then again, perhaps she was right, it was the dust in the library.
Once he knew how to read he started coming down here between lessons and bed. It wasn't all that often he was able to find the time, but in bits and pieces he read. It wasn't long before he found out what he wanted to learn. Being a dragon healer. Nothing could help more than that. Especially since they spoke of Thread coming. He could repay the Weyr by learning how to heal those dragons.
He glanced outside as a blue wedge shaped head edged with blue poked inside. "What is it Temesth?"
We were summoned to arrive at the Weyrling Courtyard by the Queen. She also mentioned to wear your best...I guess riding clothes?
K'nest nodded, "Okay, I'll go get dressed." He started off before pausing. "And how long ago did she ask?"
It's only been a couple candlemarks. I didn't want to disturb you, but the Queen asked.
It made sense. Temesth tried his very best not to disturb K'nest in anyway. Even when it wasn't pratical he tried. He had once tried to capture a herdbeast before he could fly because K'nest once had a fleeting wish that he didn't want to cut up the meat anymore. That had been an incident he never wanted to see repeated. At least he would always know his blue was willing to help. He just hoped he didn't try to help in a way that was bad for K'nest's heart.
The weyrling and his bonded jogged to the barracks to get ready and arrived at the Weyrling Courtyard before too many people had arrived. Normaly he would have just stopped at the back, but he sensed this was a formal occasion. So he stepped forward from the crowd and bowed to each of the woman and gave deeper bows to their dragons. He then slipped back within the comfort of the other weyrlings.

Kaith greeted each dragon as he or she entered the courtyard, Mneith respectfully waiting until his Queen greeted them before greeting his pupils. Kaith was proud of her children and Mneith was proud of his students. Today they left the ranks of Weyrlinghood. They had lost some during the way and not all were here that should be but the older dragons were proud of the ones that were here. They had come a long way.
Christae and Rhia greeted each pair as they entered the courtyard, smiling at their confusion. "You will soon know what this is about." Christae assured them. When no more Weyrlings arrived for a few minutes, Christae glanced at Rhia. The WLM nodded. They were all there.
"Today, you graduate!" Christae called out above the chatter of the weyrfolk and the speculation among the Weyrlings about what was about to happen. Kaith echoed her riders words to the young dragons. Christae hadn't told the weyrlings when they would be graduating, partially because she was tied up with meetings between the leaders of other weyrs and the Holders tithing to Dark Moon and partially because Rhia had asked for some more time to teach her pupils more skills that they would need in the future. Rhia had come just a few days ago to tell her WW that the W'lings were ready. Christae had decided to just surprise her newest dragonriders. She gave the young riders and their dragons a chance to let the news sink in.

Hasima seemed to noticeably relax as the other weyrlings began to trickle in. This meant she wasn’t in trouble, right? Or were they all in trouble? She didn’t understand why all the weyrlings would have to be here if there was no lesson. She smiled softly at Wolf as the girl rambled on about some missing meat rolls and gave a small wave to her. She hadn’t really seen Wolf that much lately to be honest. Hasima was normally with Akki, or Kestrel unless she was on her own. Was she becoming anti-social? Well, mind you, she was too shy to be very social to begin with. The doubts she had about everyone being in trouble began to rapidly disappear as even more people came running in, and soon curiosity replaced it.
Hasima examined each dragon, and was slightly surprised to see how most of them seemed to be quite larger than Rimith. Of course this suited Hasima just fine. With her clumsiness, this just meant that there wasn’t as much to fall from. Hasima watched as Sorcha and Lirlith also came in and offered them a wavering smile. She never really talked to Sorcha, in fact she rarely saw the girl at all and felt slightly guilty for not making an attempt to talk to her before. Of course, perhaps Sorcha didn’t want to talk to her but Hasima wasn’t too quick and didn’t even think of that possibility.
Hasima waited patiently for the Weyrwoman to talk, and when Christae did, the news caught her off guard. Her eyes widened slowly as a smile crossed her face. She wasn’t expecting news like this, but she was quite happy about it. To become a full rider? To be honest, she never thought she would end up like this. She always thought she would still be back at home with kids teasing her. She had to suppose that she ‘showed them’. Rimith’s eyes churned with pleasure and excitement, rumbling slightly at the surprising news.
---
Akki hid a snicker, holding it back until it disappeared. She suspected that the news would be along those lines, why else would the weyrlings be out here all together like this? And she had to admit, it was going to be rather amusing to see everyone’s reaction to this news. She grinned broadly at Hasima and mouthed a ‘Congratulations’ before hearing Ebbeth chuckling silently. He too was rather amused by seeing their reactions apparently. She looked over at Wolf and cast the girl a wink, not sure if the gold rider saw it or not, not that would have stopped her from doing it anyways. She glanced at R’xis for a brief second, frowning. She supposed this meant that she would have to see what the whole situation was between them and if it was going to go somewhere. She shrugged and put that aside, grinning at all the weyrlings.

Wolf continued to wait in front of Christae, though her patience was dwindling. She looked all around her at the Gathering Weyrling’s; this was certainly a good sign. Once they were all here whatever news needed to be said would be revealed. Sorcha's presence didn't escape her; in fact, it made her ponder as it had Hasima. She caught Hasima's wave when having scanned the group and a large smile appeared up on her face. "Excuse me," she said to Christae, Rhia, and her brother all at once. She dodged through people, running up to her friend. A bit of time had gone by since her and Hasima had really hung-out, or done anything together for that matter. Her smile turned to a quick frown once she was standing beside the girl. "Its been too long Hasima," she told her. "We definitely need to plan things so that we're not separated," she teased. Her smile soon returned and she linked arms with her close friend for comfort. "So, anything new to report?" she asked, her gaze quickly going to the sky. Serinth was spiralling downward, coming in for a landing. When the Gold found a clear space to land she made her way over to her rider, crooning affectionately. Wolf turned to her dragon, laughing as the Gold pressed her muzzle to the side of Wolf's face. She reached up and scratched Serinth's eyeridges adoringly. "It certainly took you long enough, did it not? Try not to ever leave my side, there's rarely a time when I can bear things with out you," Wolf told her. Serinth rumbled amusedly, feeling quite confident in her rider's words. My apologies, I'll make sure to be even more on you about my needing to be oiled and fed, that way you'll be so consumed in taking care of me that you won't have a single waking moment of freedom, Serinth sent in such an obvious tone of teasing that Wolf was laughing right from the get-go. "Serinth thinks she's entering comedy," Wolf said to Hasima, wanting the girl to know that she wasn't just laughing out as some sort-of freak incident. Send greetings to Kaith, Mneith, Rimith, and Lirlith for me? Inquire of Lirlith's rider also? Wolf asked of her dragon. As you wish... Serinth replied. Greetings Kaith, Mneith, and Rimith. My rider sends her greetings to you, seeing as she has already greeted your rider's. She then sent separately to the Moonstreak: Lirlith, my rider sends her greetings to both you and your’s. How is your’s fairing?
When Christae began to speak both Wolf’s and Serinth’s attention was turned to her. The pair both felt the same shock going through each other. Wolf had most certainly not expected this! Serinth, in her happiness, bugled out rather loudly. Wolf covered her ears, the sound ringing through her head since her dragon was so close. The girl, whom had once been a Weyrling, remained staring at where Christae stood. She blinked a few times, the shock still having its affect on her. Then, in a sudden and most unexpected move, she turned to Hasima and screamed. She threw her arms around her in a hug and then once having pulled away grabbed her friend’s arms and jumped up and down. “We’re graduating Hasima, we’re graduating!” Now some might think her ridiculous but she felt that she had cause to celebrate. Happily she did catch Akki’s wink, and attempted at casting one back to the Bluerider, glad for all that she’d done for both her and Hasima especially.
~ ~ ~
R’xis didn’t mind that his sister had gone off to greet one of her friends. He looked in the direction she’d gone, seeing that it was Hasima she was heading for. He nodded to the Yellowrider, finding her to be desirable company also. She had such a warm way about her that made any one feel quite the same. R’xis then looked behind him, seeing some more Weyrling’s approaching. He felt a bit out of place standing here and considered going over to join his sister, though his gaze kept drifting over to where Akki was standing even then. His gaze then fixed to the spot behind him where Ersith was coming toward him. He hadn’t even seen her land! That was such an Ersith thing to do, try to come up from behind and scare the stuffing out of him!
Ersith, you silly dragon, R’xis sent to her, grinning. The female Brown stood at R’xis’ side, an almost perceptible humour in her whirring green eyes. You caught on to me far too soon, you always seem to have a way of doing that. Careful Ersith, that was almost a compliment, R’xis said with a wag of his finger. I felt that you deserved one, she told him honestly, crooning agreeably when he patted the side of her neck.
He had just been about to engage Ersith in further conversation when his attention, and his dragons, was brought to Christae. They waited until she finished, R’xis’s face completely drained of all blood when she said that-had he heard right-the Weyrling’s were graduating. Ersith joined Serinth’s loud bugling, but R’xis didn’t cover his ears like Wolf had. Merely he too was taking it all in, his heart beating a thousand miles per minute. He took a deep breath in through his nose, letting it out through his mouth smoothly. He felt so nervous; he couldn’t remember the last time that butterflies were so fluttery in his stomach. He knew why… He looked over at Akki, then to where his sister was shouting with Hasima, and then back to Akki again. Is this where I say go get her? Ersith asked, knowing that R’xis’s love was strong for Akki-but it was strong for his dragon also. Ersith didn’t feel jealous since R’xis had assured her so many times, over and over again, that he loved her more then life itself. He said it so much that she was used to now constantly making jokes about eating him. R’xis looked back at Ersith, a gentle smile on his face. The dragon put her face to his, her faceted eyes still whirring the same green. He nodded in understanding and she snorted, as if saying: “Finally!” She followed along behind him at a slower pace while he pushed through the crowd to get to the Bluerider. Plan what you say and do… Don’t make a fool out of yourself… This is your one chance; this is it… He found himself face-to-face with Akki, just staring at her with an intense look in his eyes. “Akki,” he squeaked out. He then cleared his throat, looking down at her in silence. He was screaming at himself mentally to say something, but he hadn’t the faintest clue as to what to say! So, since he figured that he couldn’t really say much at this point, he took an extra step forward and pulled her in to a tight hug. Not tight enough that she couldn’t breath of course but tight enough that she’d get the point. Then when he pulled away, with a clearer mind, he said: “I’ve waited for this for so long. The whole… graduating, and you and… me and…” He felt his breath start to catch in his throat but he kept on going anyway, he had to. It was hard though, when he didn’t know whether or not to be excited or heartbroken. “And you and me, and us… Is there still an us… Admin's Note:
” Is it bad to leave that up to her? he wondered. “I want there to be an us, you know that, more then anything I want there to be. I can’t imagine being with any one else; no one else would ever be good enough. No one else would ever match up. I know maybe you don’t understand that right now, but there’s so much time to make you understand-to help you to. Oh gosh… I promised myself that I wouldn’t come over here and sound all sappy but, who can really achieve admitting they love some one with out sounding it? I love you Akki, there’s nothing more complicated to it then that, but there’s a lot involved with it…” He waited to see what she’d say. He could hear his blood pounding in his ears, and he really wished it’d stop. Was she this nervous, or even nervous at all? Did she know the answer before he’d even come over here?

Hasima had to admit that when she waved to Wolf, she wasn’t expecting the girl to come over. She was too caught up in her own thoughts to notice the girl dodging through the crowd that was gathering. She looked up when she heard Wolf’s voice, eyes wide as she was slightly startled before slowly nodding in agreement. It had been too long; she had barely seen the girl around for she was normally with Kestrel. She shook her head and replied in her usual soft voice, “No, nothing really. What about you?”. Hasima sent Serinth a small, quick smile as a greeting when the gold landed and approached Wolf.
And we send our greetings back. I hope you are doing well clutch-sister. Rimith replied happily. She had not talked to Serinth for quite a while, well actually, she hadn’t really talked to any of her clutch-siblings for a certain amount of time. Hasima was caught off guard when Wolf flung her arms around her. Despite her time at Dark Moon, physical contact was still not her forte so she just smiled politely while she was hugged. Her head bobbled up and down as Wolf seemed to jump about and a rather large grin appeared on her face from the gold rider’s joyous reaction.
---
Akki was in the middle of an in-depth conversation with Ebbeth, the dragon was pointing out to her that she was too immature to be a full rider and should become a weyrling again. Akki told the blue that he should go curl up and stay there until he learned some manners; it was really just the usual banter between them. She wasn’t really paying attention so she didn’t notice the fact that R’xis was headed towards her at that very moment. She snapped out of the conversation with her dragon as R’xis said her name, and she vaguely wondered how he appeared in front of her without her noticing. She couldn’t voice this question however because when she opened her mouth all that came out was a ‘Oof’ when R’xis suddenly pulled her into a hug.
She listened to him ramble as he pulled himself away from the hug. Was there still a them? To be honest, she had a short attention span and never really thought about it during their time apart. It wasn’t because she was a cynical person though, it was just because she allowed herself to be distracted so easily and just put it out of her mind. She blinked a few times as she listened. Sappy conversations weren’t her strong point, they never were. Would she be able to say something without making it sound like it was completely idiotic? What was her answer anyways, she wondered if she should ask Ebbeth for she didn’t know. She looked at R’xis and opened her mouth, answering on a whim.
“Eh? What’s this, boy? Don’t you know that weyrlings and riders can’t have feelings for each other?” She said with a lopsided grin as she looked at him right in the eyes. She didn’t even know what she was saying, but she had left this all up to a whim so she figured she should just roll with it. She flicked the knots on his shoulder, “These tell me you’re still a weyrling. You have to get your riders knots first, then come back over here and say that all over again before you get an answer out of me.” The crooked grin was plastered onto her face and her eyes seemed to almost twinkle with vague amusement. She was a terrible person, really. Making the boy wait just a bit longer for her answer. But that was how she always acted and hopefully R’xis knew this by now. She placed a hand on her hip and shooed R’xis. “Well go on then. Go get your knots if you want to hear what I have to say.” She said with a nod. She wondered if this counted as stalling. Ebbeth, I have a plan. Go round up some dragons and take down a few people, and that can be our distraction as we run away. She could hear Ebbeth silently snort with amusement. And where would you fit in? I’m with the dragons, of course. She replied, like it was obvious. Didn’t your mother ever teach you not to run away? ‘Course not. She’s dead, remember? She must have been proud to have a cynical daughter like you.

Christae waited for the noise to die down and grabbed the first shoulder knot. Rhia unrolled a hide with a list of names and stepped forward. "When your name is called, please come forward to receive your riders' knots. I will take your Weyrling knots and Weyrwoman Christae will present your riders' knots to you.
"Hasima and Yellow Rimith."
Rhia waited until the yellow rider stepped forward and smiled encouragingly. She undid the Weyrling knots from the girl's shoulder and shook her hand. "Congratulations Hasima. You and Rimith did well." Rhia was proud of all of her students.
Christae stood waiting to tie the new knots to the shoulder of her new rider. "Congratulations Hasima and Rimith. You are now a full rider and dragon pair." She gestured for the girl and her dragon to line up in front of her peers and the folk of the wyer. Most of the riders and weyrfolk assembled clapped and cheered as the young rider took her place.
"K'nest and blue Temesth, please step forward." Rhia called out. She congratulated the rider and his blue and sent them on to Christae to receive his shoulder knots. Christae repeated the same ritual with K'nest and sent him on to stand next to Hasima after shaking his hand.
"Anassa and Green Priath. Please come forward." She took the weyrling knots from the young greenrider's shoulder and shook her hand. "Congratulations." The girl beamed and stepped to the Weyrwoman to receive her shoulder knots and congratulations from the Weyrwoman before heading to stand next to the new blue and yellowriders.
Mneith and Kaith sent their congratulations to the young dragons as they and their riders passed up the ranks to full riders.

Hasima was thinking silently for a moment, trying to think of something to say to fill in the conversational pause that was happening with her and Wolf. She opened her mouth, more or less planning to ask Wolf about how R'xis was doing considering the fact she had not seen him around that much either. However, before any quietly spoken words could slip out from her mouth, Rhia called out her name along with Rimith's. She shot Wolf and Serinth an apologetic look, and quietly excused herself from the conversation, not wanting to appear rude. Hasima slowly reached Rhia, with a small smile on her face. It was slightly hard to believe that they were already graduating, it seemed like yesterday that her and Rimith were united for the first time.
Hasima smiled tenatively to Rhia, and said softly "Thank you for taking care of me." and moments later Rimith rumbled, repeating the same message with the same polite tone. Hasima turned to Christae, and both girl and yellow dragon thanked the Weyrwoman also. Hasima and Rimith took their place and a blush crept on the girls cheeks as members of the Weyr clapped for them. She shot a small smile at Akki, who at the moment looked like she was having an awkward conversation before she noticed that Hasima was looking at her, causing the blue rider to give her friend a grin and a thumbs up.

Anassa took a deep breath as she and her dragon were called forward. The dainty green was careful not to knock into anyone as she moved forward to accept congratulations as her rider accepted the change in knots. Her heart was thudding in her rib cage as she surpressed her excitement. She couldn't believe that she was about to enter the ranks of riders. The Weyrlingmaster rider and dragon congratulated them and Anassa shook her teacher's hand warmly.
We did it my chosen!
That we did love, that we did. I couldn't have done it without you!
Rider and dragon shared a moment together while Rhia undid the weyrling knots from the former Harper Hall Apprentice's shoulder and sent her off to Christae. She bowed before the Weyrwoman and Priath sent her respects to the Senior Queen. Christae shook Anassa's hand and tied the new knots to her shoulder. Then the Weyr clapped and she was a full rider. Anassa's eyes were wide with wonder as she stepped to the side of the newly made bluerider to wait for the rest of their class to receive their knots.

After the first three were called, Rhia looked down at her list again. "R'xis of brown Ersith." Her handshake was a bit warmer as the lad came up. "Congratulations R'xis." She lowered her voice. Only R'xis, the Weyrwoman, and herself knew that the rider's brown was a female. " Ersith is a beauty." She undid the knot at the weyrling's shoulder and sent him off to Christae while Mneith greeted and congratulated the female brown.
Christae followed the same ritual as she had with the other dragons and riders except she winked at R'xis. It would be amusing the first time that dragon rose and threw the Weyr for a loop. "Congratulations R'xis and Ersith." Kaith greeted and congratulated her daughter as well.
Rhia again picked up her hide. "P'rin and bronze Kilzanth." The dark haired lad came forward with his colorful bronze to recieve his knots proudly. That bronze sure was a haughty creature. At least his rider was a bit warmer to make up for his dragon's temperament. "Congrautlations P'rin." Rhia shook his hand and removed the weyrling knots from the lanky rider's shoulder as Mneith congratulated the bronze. Thank Faranth the bronze wasn't above treating what might be considered "lesser" dragons with respect like some bronzes were. The pair went off to receive Christae's congratulations and knots.
"Sorcha of moonstreak Lirlith" Who would have thought that such a troublemaker would wind up with such a beautiful dragon. She had performed as well as any other student in her classes and Rhia had no wish to hold her back. "Congratulations Sorcha." Mneith echoed the congratulations to Lirlith. She shook her hand and then sent her off to Christae. Christae repeated the same ritual and tied her shoulder knots.
"Wolf and Gold Serinth" Rhia called out. This one was the last Weyrling. She would become the new Junior Weyrwoman when Christae had finished training her. She wasn't quite ready to become the official Junior WW but Rhia had nothing more to teach the girl and Christae would be taking over full time instead of just the few hours a day that she took the girl for special training.

(( Shame on me, I totally forgot about this subject. v.v; ))
The moonstreak settled comfortably as this seemed it would be a little bit, She is well, though nervous. If she wasn't too busy worrying about trivial things she'd remember her manners and send greetings to you. I hope you and yours are fairing well?
Oblivious to the conversation going on between dragons Sorcha stood among the weyrlings waiting for her name to be called. As with all changes, she worried how she would adapt, but it couldn't be as hard as going from 'the thief' to a Weyrling, could it?
Lirlith sent and acknowledgment to Mneith as congratulations were sent. She watched Sorcha, red faced, move forward to get her knots. She was surprised when the crowd-shy girl managed not to trip up any. Sorcha gave a half smile to Christae, "Thank you." She felt like there should have been more to say, but that was all she could manage. She made another bow to the Queen that had made this possible before standing again with the crowd, this time as a rider.
~~~~~~~
K'nest's eyes widened when he realized he was called forward. He'd now be a full rider. It just didn't seem like it was time. Riders were ... well riders. The stuff of legends, fighting thread, inspiring ballads, and he was just K'nest. Nonetheless he moved forward for the Weyrwoman to tie his knots. He supposed when in a life full of dragons he'd always feel inadequate. He hadn't felt good enough for a dragonet and now he didn't feel ready for a position among Pern's finest.
Nonsense, you deserve to be where you are. You're better than any other person out there. I would have waited for none other to be my Bonded.
He barely managed a bow and muttered 'Thanks' before moving to Christae. K'nest smiled weakly as he moved to where the other full riders stood. It'd probably be a few days of wearing the knots of a dragonrider before he became accustomed to it all. As long as Temesth stayed with him it would be fine. He glanced up at his precious blue, remembering when he could actually pick him up, And though I'd have been happy to Impress any dragon, I am glad it was you. I'd be honored to live as a dragonrider and spend the rest of my live saving Pern with you. He winked at the other, Now, how to get a ballad sung for us so we're real riders huh?
“Yes Akki, sir,” he teased, red in the face. He really should’ve thought about the fact that he didn’t yet have his knots, shouldn’t he? That was R’xis for you, always getting way ahead of him so much so often times that his legs detached from his body; it wasn’t the prettiest of sights to see him hit the dirt. Just as he was flashing a wink at his best friend, and turning to the crowd to go on back to Ersith, he heard the names of the riders being called out. The ceremony had truly begun. “Congratulations!” he called out, clapping loudly for those who went from being Weyrling to Rider. He knew that it wouldn’t be long before his name was called. He weaseled his way over to Ersith, standing next to her proudly. I probably should’ve reminded you that you need to complete your turn to rider before waltzing on up to her… Ersith sounded quite apologetic but managed to let her guilt die when she saw that R’xis’ happiness level had not risen nor fallen but rather had stayed the same. As her rider’s name was called she bugled out triumphantly, not only proud of him but of herself! “Yah R’xis!” R’xis heard his sister yelling, which made him stand up a whole lot straighter while he made his way over to where Rhia and Christae both stood. The both of them looked great and most certainly proud to be holding the ceremony. It wasn’t long before Ersith was done giving R’xis his moment of glory and had decided it was time to start after him, walking on up while he was in a handshake with Rhia. “Thank-you Rhia, I can’t say it enough, you’ve done so much for all of us and you’ve most certainly been there for Ersith and I when we’ve needed you.” He gave her a warm smile and a respectful bow before moving on to Christae, his eyes lingering on the Weyrling Master for a few short moments, feeling deep gratitude. He then looked to Christae, and hoped that the gushy feelings would subside; it was making him even more embarrassed to be in front of her. “Congratulations to you as well Weyrwoman, you’ve taken fine care of this Weyr all by your lonesome. Many of us should be admiring you…” He caught her wink, returning it with a slight chuckle and a nod before walking over to where the rest of his fellow Riders now stood together. You have done much for us, I thank you, Ersith told Mneith, looking down to her Rider whom was presently returning her gaze. The two were sharing this moment together, there thoughts practically one.
~ ~ ~
Wolf shouted for Hasima and Rimith, doing the same when her brother went on up. She clapped and sent smiles to the other Weyrlings even though she hadn’t befriended them just yet, she was sure with the time they’d be spending together they’d all become closer. She understood Hasima’s having to leave to go on up, so it wasn’t even a thought on her mind that her and Serinth were being left alone. The gold and her rider waited for there own names to be called, feeling the lingering anticipation. As their names were called Wolf squealed quite loudly while pumping her fist in to the air... Serinth regarded her rider curiously, not acquainted with her actions, only understanding that they must’ve been a representation of happiness and overwhelming joy. Serinth pushed her rider forewords since she was standing in place, rumbling amusedly when the girl nearly fell on her way to the Weyrling Master and the Weyrwoman. You’ve done it mine, we’ve done it. Wolf sniffled, saying overdramatically: “Yes we have.” We are fairing quite well, especially at this present moment, Serinth replied to Sorcha’s bonded. Thank you Mneith, and Kaith. The both of you have been such a big help not just to us but to every one. Wolf extended her hand out for Rhia to shake, looking to the Weyrling Master with bright eyes. “I would give you the very long list in my head of everything I have to thank you for but it might take all day,” she said before snickering.
P'rin went up to receive his knots, shaking the Weyrwoman and his former teacher's hands warmly as he accepted his knots and went to his place. After the Moonstreak and the Jr. Queen took their places beside him he looked to the WW expectantly.
I can't believe we are finally here.
I can. The bronze said, puffing himself out with pride. P'rin just chuckled.
~~~~~~~~ Rhia smiled warmly at Wolf "Just doing my job girl. You won't be thanking me when Christae gets a hold of you." She gave the youngest Queenrider of the Weyr a wry smile. "You'll be wishing I had kept you a Weyrling." She placed a hand on the girl's shoulder. "You did well and you will make a fine Junior Weyrwoman someday soon." With that she sent her off to Christae.
After Wolf had received her knots and taken her place with the others, Christae and Rhia stood aside for the Weyr to see the newest riders. "Congratulations to you all. You have worked hard and earned this honor. Dark Moon Weyr, welcome your new riders!" A great cheer rose in the air and the dragons let out a deafening bugle led by the Sr. Queen.

Wolf nodded, never having felt that any one was even close to home, but Dark Moon Weyr had changed that for her. As Christae gave her rider’s knots she looked to the sky before looking to the Weyrwoman before her. “I want to thank you for bringing me here, and for saving my life that day. With your help, and the help of others here I feel like a different person.” She bowed to the Weyrwoman, “thank you Christae…” Then she went off to the side and joined the others, Serinth at her side. The Gold looked to Christae and Rhia, her eyes whirring a warm blue, feeling the strong feelings that her rider currently was toward the two women. When the congratulations was spoken Wolf screamed out a congratulations to those around her, wishing she had something to throw up in to the air right about now… She most certainly couldn’t throw herself, that’d be quite difficult. She looked to Hasima, whom was thankfully close by, not daring to throw the shy girl. “Hasima, we’re riders!” she yelled out, moving around people to get to her friend once again. “Can you believe it? It feels like it was yesterday when we were just starting out as Junior Weyrlings. So, now that we’re riders, what’s the first thing you want to do?” The restrictions that had existed on being a Weyrling no longer applied, mostly, to them now. How about going for a celebration flight? Serinth asked, permitting both Hasima and Rimith to hear. “Good suggestion Serinth, that’s one I like!” She looked back to Hasima, wondering if the girl would think the idea a good one. She sure hoped so; she loved being in the air.
~ ~ ~
R’xis ran up to his sister, who he spotted with Hasima. He gave her a gigantic hug, squishing her half to death. “We’re rider’s Wolf, can you believe it? I’m so proud of you. He tousled her hair, which he knew she wouldn’t be approving now. “Congratulations to both of you,” he said, addressing Hasima as well. And no one can believe how he’s a rider, can they? It’s almost a shock… Ersith said aloud. R’xis looked back at her, blushing, “Hey, be nice would you?” He knew she was teasing but must she always do so in a crowd? “Well, if you lovely ladies will excuse me there is something that I must attend to.” He had an idea that the both of them knew what that was, just about every one knew about R’xis’ feelings for Akki if they’d spent a few spare moments with him. She always came up in conversations, unintentionally or not, and whenever he thought she wasn’t around she randomly appeared classily. He bet that Akki would deny that claim and say that she wasn’t classy at all but rather extremely ungraceful and clumsy.
“Akki,” he called out to her from afar, his rider’s knots of course in place. He pointed a finger to his rider’s knots, nodding to her. “So then, now that you’re no longer talking to a Weyrling…” He trailed off, allowing for her to respond. “I don’t think anything could be better then being with you, I’ll be honest. I’m sure you can’t possibly have forgotten all it was that I said when I was over here earlier… I meant every word of it.” Of course you meant it, you mean it every single time, the poor girl must be smothered by your constant honesty. Must you always give your marks worth? Would his dragon ever stop being so ‘helpful?’ Within’ the time he’d gotten to say all that he wanted to he was now standing directly in front of her, hitting his foot against the ground some, likely one of his many nervous habits.

Hasima and Rimith watched as weyrling after weyrling went up to Christae and Rhia, only to come back as a full rider. It did in fact seem odd to watch this, Hasima still clearly remembered the drama that ensued from the clutch that these dragons were born from. She chewed her lip viciously for a few moments, before slowly taking a few steps towards Sorcha. She gingerly tapped the girl on the shoulder and said quietly with a quick flash of a smile, "Congratulations." She tried to think of something else to say, to fill the awkward pause that was sure to follow but it seemed there was no need too. Because in a flash, Wolf found her once more.
Hasima smiled at Wolf, and at the girls excited energy and frowned for a second, trying to think of what they could do. And when Serinth made her suggestion she nodded. It took Hasima a bit to get used to flying, but now that she was used to it, she quite enjoyed the feeling of being almost weightless. Rimith twitched her tail in agreement, eyes whirling contently. We should invite all the new riders to come with us. Rimith suggested, turning to Serinth to see what she would say to this suggestion. The yellow dragon looked over at R'xis and grinned, Mind you, he looks like he's busy right now
---
Akki watched as R'xis headed towards Christae, and closed her eyes with a slight smile. Geeze, they sure do grow up fast, don't they Ebbeth? She sent to her blue dragon, who watched the new riders graduate with a hint of a dragonic smile. You're telling me. I can't tease them anymore, and can't tell Ersith and Rimith about how I'm not a weyrling, but they are. Akki grinned slightly at the comment, she knew how much the dragon liked to tease the yellow and brown. It was a hobby of his. She listened as the crowd cheered loudly, and for the final time which meant that all the weyrlings were no longer weyrlings now. She continued to have her eyes closed, humming quietly to herself as R'xis appeared in front of her, for the second time.
She lazily opened up one eye, her humming still quietly continuing. She had to admit she wasn't exactly listening to R'xis at this moment but instead was looking him over. He was saying something about their previous conversation, but she was too busy frowning slightly and wondering since when did R'xis get taller than she? Actually if she thought about it carefully, R'xis probably looked the same age as her even though he was a couple of turns younger than she. Well go on then, stop torturing the poor kid and tell him already. You don't have a problem with my answer then? Ha! If I did, I would have flown down there and snapped you up in my jaws in a fit of rage. Believe me, you would know if I disapproved. Akki grinned at her blues response and stopped humming, finally opening her eyes completely and watched R'xis nervously kick at the ground. She took a step towards the boy, and smacked him across the back of the head.
"Is there still an us?" She said, quoting R'xis directly from the conversation they had moments before. "Come on now, you can't possibly be that dumb, can you?". She placed her fists on her hips and shook her head with disbelief. "I didn't fall for someone this daft, now did I?" She asked out loud, finally shaking her head. "I know the Weyrs rules, I wasn't about to corrupt a weyrling. I've only been waiting for you to become a rider for the longest time now and you're asking me if there's still an us?". Akki blew some hair out of her face and peered at the guy in front of her. "There's bloody well still be an us, or else I've just wasted all this time for nothing." She said with a snort as she stood on her tip toes and kissed R'xis on the cheek. "And now you made me show a public display of affection which could very well ruin my reputation around here."
Humans sure are silly critters, aren't they Ersith?

Inviting others would be a very good idea Clutch-sister. I think that we should get right on that, no? At the comment made about her rider’s brother Serinth turned to look back at where he was with Akki, interested in the affair. Busy indeed… She turned back to the two female riders and her friend, Rimith. I suppose we can leave them be until they’re finished, unless they’re never finished… Serinth teased. She knew from what Wolf had told her just how much R’xis cared for Akki. She didn’t want to disrupt either of the two; at least Ebbeth and Ersith could keep each other company in the meantime while their rider’s talked.
Wolf could see that the girl was responding with both shyness and overall silence. She chuckled some, going quiet herself. She wanted to help Hasima to be more outgoing, but at the same time she was perfectly fine the way she was, it was very cute. Hasima had improved greatly already and Wolf wanted to commend her for that but at the same time didn’t want to embarrass her even further. “It’ll be fun, I used to be afraid of heights and still sort-of am but I enjoy heading for the skies with Serinth. It’s hard to find anything else to compare it with, you know?” She bet that Hasima understood how she felt, or at least she hoped that the other girl did. Wolf wondered what other chores she’d be doing now that Christae was the one in charge of her lessons for becoming a Junior Weyrwoman. She didn’t expect it to be all fun and play, she knew that a lot of it might be dreary and that a lot of it would probably be hard to. She, in all honesty, thought that every bit of it was going to be worth it no matter how dreary or difficult the work proved to be.
~ ~ ~
R’xis hadn’t expected to be smacked upside the head, but nevertheless he was. Then when he was called dumb he hadn’t expected that either, but found himself laughing at both things because they were both so typically Akki. In truth he did feel dumb even though it was Akki whom was calling him the name. He hadn’t really thought of the fact that she’d not been with any one else… Okay, that was a lie, he’d been paying close attention to all other male persuasions around her, but he hadn’t really stopped to think about the fact that she hadn’t engaged in any sort of relationship-like activity with any of them. She’d waited for him, and that short but true thought made him grin. His grin was taking on a goofy turn when he realized that she was coming up toward him. When he felt the kiss on his cheek he started blushing, so much so that he felt as if standing still staring at her like he was only made his limbs go numb. Her comment about “public displays of affection” brought him back to normal, and he finally averted his eyes. “I should’ve thought of that, and for some reason I didn’t. Not because I didn’t want to think that you’d waited but simply I didn’t want to get my hopes up in thinking that the one person I love-just let me finish-was all mine.” This time he didn’t blush, because he felt comfortable telling her these things. He wanted her to know, after all. He couldn’t believe that this was happening, that she’d accepted! It hadn’t even truly sunken in yet, and he bet by tomorrow he’d be singing a whole different tune.
He wanted to kiss her but the reminder kept going off in his head about her dislike of public displays of affection. She was a whole lot closer though… Oh, now don’t hold back on my account. Ersith was laughing at him inwardly after her outward comment, having permitted both Ebbeth and Akki to hear. Yes dear Ebbeth, I agree with you. She watched Akki and R’xis, intrigued with what was going on, especially since she had not felt this sort of feeling coming off of R’xis before. She fanned her wings out carefully, folding them back in at her sides before looking to Ebbeth as to distract herself some. She wasn’t sure if R’xis wanted her tapping in to his thoughts when it came to Akki, though she suspected that everything should be shared between them. R’xis? she questioned, sounding quite serious, a first for her. He listened to her question, it not taking him long for him to give a reply… We share everything together, okay? Ersith was very pleased, Good to know Mine…

Rimith nodded her small wedge-shaped head in agreement and was more than happy to send her question to the other newly graduated dragons. Would anyone be interested in some celebratory fun? Hasima followed Serinth's gaze and blushed slightly as she caught a glimpse of R'xis and Akki. Quite a few people knew about how R'xis was waiting for this graduation, and was probably more excited about it more than anyone else here. She couldn't help but smile and look over to Wolf, "Your brother seems quite happy." Hasima knew that people thought she should be more outgoing, sometimes she wished she was more loud also but she couldn't bring herself to do it. It was like there was something stopping her, a mental wall. Mind you, she had gotten better since she arrived at Dark Moon. Back home, she rarely talked or was rarely seen in public and here she was seen with other people, whether it would be one person or a large group.
Hasima nodded with Wolf's statement. She definitely had to agree with the Junior Weyrwoman. There was really nothing that rivalled the feeling of flight. She also knew how Wolf felt about being afraid of heights, being afraid of them herself. For a while she wondered if she was meant to be a rider, being socially awkward and rather nervous about flying, only to have Rimith constantly assure her that she was meant to be one. Rimith smiled, her eyes churning a content green. I don't see how you guys would be able to stay on the ground for so long
----
Akki sighed and tapped her foot on the ground, shaking her head mournfully. "I mean, I haven't been running around throwing myself at guys right? So clearly I was being as reserved as I possibly can be." She couldn't help but smile crookedly as R'xis told her to let him finish. He clearly knew her well, because she was the kind of person who had no problem with interrupting heartfelt statements. It was what she did. She waited for him to finish before flicking his forehead with her finger. "Hasn't anybody told you play hard to get? I mean, come on now. You're supposed to leave me hanging on whether or not you like me, and I'm supposed to analyze every single thing you do. You're not supposed to reveal everything, let me tear myself up inside in sorrowful agony." She said with a laugh and a wink.
Akki grinned as she heard Ersith in her mind and shot the brown a wink. She took a step back from R'xis and made eye contact with the dragon, "Well then. Ersith, do I have your permission to fully corrupt his life and bedazzle his mind with confusing girly antics? Of course I expect you to help out with this.". If you don't agree to this my dear Ersith, I am more than willing to fling myself down there and flatten my rider. That way you can scoop up yours and prevent him from making a very big mistake. Ebbeth told the brown, with amusement but also partial truth about how he would flatten Akki if the dragon didn't agree to this.
