Yes, there had been a search. A search that yielded a brownhaired lass of 16 turns. The girl had brown, wavey hair that fell around her shoulders. Her attire was something befitting to her rather curvey shape. She had curves in all the right places but legs, arms, hands, and fingers were slender. They seemed so delicate. Her face, heartshaped it were, only amplified the girl's physical beauty. Her height, though, was rather average and a good portion of it came from her legs. Speaking of legs, she wore a dress that fell slightly below her knees and the neck of it revealed just enough for any man or boy interested enough to desire more.
She had only arrived, what, a day or two ago? It certainly wasn't long ago. She was getting use to the ins and outs of weyr life, albeit slowly. It was quite the adjustment to make, but it wasn't overly difficult. For now, however, she chose this time to eat. She didn't really want much to eat, but she needed something to put in her stomach. Perhaps a sweetroll? Some fruit? Something would turn up, she was sure.
On her way over, she took the time to give specific attention to the design of the weyr and the path she was on. Better to learn and not get lost. She also took the time to notice and remember features of certain people that passed by. Surely it would help her in the long run. Oh what a diverse group the weyr seemed to hold. Dragonrider, weyrling, candidate, weyrstaff, and so on. There was much to take in, to experience first hand, to see with her own eyes.
So caught up in attention to detail and thought alike that she didn't notice she was already at her destination. She was thankful she was growing so accustom to getting to where she needed to go so efficiently. Once the choice was laid before her, she picked up a couple of sweet rolls and some fruit. Some water would also do. Meal decided, she took her seat. As she did, her dress fell lazily around her knees.
After a sip of water, deciding it was ok enough to drink, she took a bite of fruit. She pondered as she chewed absentmindedly. She really hadn't met anyone or made any relations yet. That wouldn't do. At best, she was aquainted with that searchrider but that was it. She'd have to get to that soon. Sure it was only a day or two that she had been here. But why rest much further? There were things that needed to be done. Kira, on her part, was a schemer but not a dangerous one. Certainly not to a weyr atleast. A boy's heart may have been another matter entirely though. She sat quietly as she took another bite of fruit. Surely someone would turn up sooner or later that she could hold conversation with? She'd certainly hope so.

“Ow, stop it. Ow!” Zuhayr said loudly as he walked through the winding tunnels towards the kitchens area. Wrapped around his arm was a small golden flitt, who seemed quite hungry at the moment. “Stop trying to eat my fingers, please.” Zuhayr requested as Aesa nipped at the tips of his hand, wanting him to hurry up to the kitchens already. Truthfully, Zuhayr was still slightly scared at the small critter. He was worried that if he didn’t get to his destination face, the flitt might rear up on him and try to claw off his face in pure anger. He looked away from the flitt and grinned slightly as he saw the entrance to the kitchens which he happily skipped into.
“Please don’t eat my face.” Zuhayr asked of the gold as he gingerly held her away from his body. He figured the flitt might take a few swipes at his stomach if she was too close from it. He walked quickly past Kira, not even noticing her at first, dead set on the small bowl of meat that was on one of the counters. He picked up a small piece of it and more or less tossed it to Aesa, too scared to put his fingers near her mouth, who gobbled it up right away. He breathed, blowing some hair out of his face as he did it, and mumbled “Hoo, crisis officially averted.”. He turned away from the bowl of meat, feeling slightly less in danger now that Aesa had some food in her when he finally noticed the unknown girl.
He blinked a few times before pressing some fingers gingerly against his face and looking at the girl with wide eyes, “I’m not missing a chunk of my face, am I? She didn’t rip if off in a fit of hunger induced rage?”. He let his fingers drop to his side and he crooked his head slightly with one eye closed, examining the girl in front of him. “Oh wait a minute.” He began. “Do I even know you? Am I supposed to be talking to strangers? You’re not going to kill me are you?”

Kira barely had time to settle on the thought before a young man rushed past her. Ah, her first victim. But he seemed rather unaware of her presence. Though it was no surprise, he was followed by a golden flitt that was mad with hunger. Her eyes followed his movements, watching him with interest. Better it be the opposite sex to interact with, Kira would have rathered it anyhow. She just knew that after the golden flitt had started eating, he wouldn't be so distracted and would likely pay her mind. If she was wrong, which she was sure she wasn't, then she'd make her presence known. Oh it wasn't a hard thing to do either.
Kira looked at the flitt, mad with hunger. Thoughts went towards her feline, Isis. She was likely curled in Kira's bed at this moment. She'd sleep most of the day if she could, but Kira would rarely let her. That only meant she'd be up all night and that'd annoy the poor candidate to no end. However, she gave a mental sigh. She may have to put up with that annoyance tonight.
So lost in thought was she that she barely noticed the young man's approach whom had her eye. She thought his greeting rather strange however and raised an eyebrow questioningly. "You've the whole of your face", she smiled sweetly, words to match. An amused smirk crossed her delicate features at his next bit of words. Was he really so timid? "Scared of girls are we?", she asked curiously, the smirk still there. "Ah, but we'll be strangers no longer once I introduce myself. I'm Kira, a candidate. I was searched but a day or so ago", she introduced herself warmly and flashed another pretty smile.
How much of this was genuine, though? Was it all some ruse? Some game for her? There was not a way to tell with Kira, not yet anyway. She leaned back gracefully in her chair and nodded to one next to her, as if beckoning him to sit and join her. Oh, it was nothing demanding to be sure. It was just a suggestion made as pleasant as possible so that it'd be too good to pass up.

Zuhayr visibly relaxed when it was confirmed that there was no gaping hole in his face, and that it hadn't been viciously ripped off like he thought it might have been. Zuhayr allowed a lopsided smile to come onto his face as he replied to the girl, "Scared of them? 'Course not. But isn't the number one rule not to talk to strangers? I figured if you did they would kill you or something, you know?". It made sense his mind, just maybe not anyone elses. "I'm Zuhayr, also a candidate." He replied as he introduced himself. "I see the Weyr just got a whole lot prettier." He had no problem with flirting, because in his mind it just didn't count. He flirted with guys, girls and girls who liked girls. However when he ran into a guy who he did like, flirting suddenly did count and he tended to mess up alot then.
He ran a hand through his hair and grinned before slipping into the seat beside the girl. "Where'd you come from?" He asked, the slightly crooked grin still plastered onto his face. Aesa clambered off of the boys hand, and flopped onto the table as she eyed the girl with vague interest. "And who have you else met? Because if I'm the first I might have to hide your from the rest of the guys." This was Zuhayr, he complimented and flirted without a second thought and just assumed that people knew he liked guys so it didn't matter.

"Oh, maybe", she responded, batting her eyelashes. Turning on the charm already? Surely not Kira, right? Wrong. She was too quick to it, which could lend her more trouble than she needed. "I've never had any problem with them, though", she alluded and spoke casually. A satisfied smile was quick to play. So he was a candidate as well. Oh good, very good. She couldn't help but blush a bit at his comment though. Even as Kira were, the occassional compliment still caught her.
"My, my. You're too kind", she said with a girlish chuckle, a hand raised lazily over her mouth as she did so. "Tell me. Are you always this way, or am I a special case?", she asked innocently and smiled lovingly. Oh how she adored attention. Regardless of what this young man was or how he was, she was still enjoying what he gave her.
"I come from a hold, off the sea coast", she spoke, answering his question a bit generally but that was fine by her. Her smile and facial features turned coy at his next question and comment laid after it. "Oh really? Want me all to yourself, do you? Such attention you give a girl", she smirked and leaned forward, clearly implying something more and doing so ever so playfully. "If you must know", she began,"I've only gotten to know a little about the greenrider who searched me." She gave him a satisfying wink, as if to appeal to him in response to the question he posed. "So your the lucky one I get to chat up and really get to know first", was her flirty response. What a delightful time she seemed to have now. So delightful, that the food was all but forgotten to her.

"I'm glad, I would hate for you have to gotten killed by a stranger before we ever met." He replied rather smoothly. And smooth he was, words just seem to flow naturally out of his mouth. When he broke out of his shy shell and became the flamboyant person was, it seemed his words wanted to make up for those turns of not being in use and now worked double time. Even though he didn't use them all the time, it seemed he had a compliment or comment for every situation.
Zuhayr leaned on his elbow slightly, hand resting on his jawline while his smile never faltered. "I guess you'll have to stick around and find out, now won't you?". It was too bad that Zuhayr was flamboyant really, he could have become quite the ladies man if he swung that way. He removed his hand from his face and hooked his hands, lacing fingers together, on the back of his head as he leaned back slightly. "What can I say? I'm a selfish guy." He said lightly, a slight teasing tone resting in his voice as he spoke.
"I'm quite glad then that I had to come down to the kitchens. Suddenly my day is looking much more interesting."

"Oh it would be a shame, wouldn't it? Then I'd never get to meet such a handsome guy, who seems to be quite a charmer", she was quick to lean forward and give him a wink. What a flirt, she could only think to herself. Though, she encountered many flirty guys before. How quick some teenage boys found flirting once they hit that certain stage. Oh it thrilled Kira.
"I suppose I will. I'm sure my interest will hold, long enough to find out", her words seemed so snake like. They were slippery, slithering about suggestively. She could do this all day, she thought to herself. She could, and enjoy every moment of it. It was, after all, her favorite game. "Apparently", she answered casually. But added coyly, "Just how selfish?" To be honest, she'd probably like to find that one out first hand.
Mine too, she thought to herself with a purr. It had been a bore up until now. No one to talk to, or play around with. Having to understand the ins and outs of weyr life as a candidate. "Oh really?", she finally answered him, acting as if the previous thought never crossed her mind. "Is that a fact?", she asked with interest and smirk alike.

Zuhayr pushed some of the hair the fell back in front of his face away, "I guess now it's my turn to be flattered." He had to admit, he was mildly surprised that Akki hadn't found out about Kira before. The bluerider made it her duty to know each and every person in the Weyr. Actually, what was more surprising was that Leander hadn't slyly found and talked up Kira yet, he would probably suit the girl much better being straight after all. It was too bad really that Kira was a girl, if Zuhayr could flirt with a guy like this he would have been one happy camper, but this worked also for it was talk to her or have Aesa clawing at his arm again in hunger as soon as he walked out of the kitchens.
"I sure hope so." Zuhayr replied with ease. He placed a finger on his mouth, as if it was a secret just how jealous he could become. "You'll have to see that for yourself." He replied as he lowered the finger and rested his arm on the table. The answer, truthfully, was not very jealous. Zuhayr was an easy going person, it took alot to make him jealous but it was more fun this way, wasn't it?
It a fact. Zuhayr had so far spent the day doing his candidate duties, getting dragged around by the assistand candidate master (Not that he really minded, it gave him something to do), walked around for a bit until the tiny golden flitt cried impatiently for food. All in all, so far it had been a fairly boring day so anything would have made it more interesting. But he wasn't about to admit that, not yet at least. Zuhayr grinned slowly and answered with a simple, "Quite possibly."

"Oh, I intend to", she answered him. Hadn't she just thought that to herself? How she'd love to find out first hand. His own sentance simply led further to her own interest. She seemed quite curious about him, and it showed in her eyes as she looked over him. Handsome enough, charming enough, and he certainly had a personality.
She leaned forward a bit, took a sip of water, then spoke to him further. "So tell me. Are any of the other male candidates as interesting as you are? Or is this a privalige that I stumbled upon the only one?", she asked with a sweet smirk and a gaze that just yelled interest. Was she really interested in such a way though? Probably not. Kira sought fun, not commitment. She was quite sure of this.
