It really was a good thing that Khris knew how to follow directions, especially considering how...maze-like this place was. The Searchrider that brought him in had given him a quick run-off of this-way and that-ways before sending him on his way and turning to hurry off. Honestly, Khris wasn't at all experienced in the whole 'being searched' area, but he'd kind of thought that they'd have led him to the candidates barracks.
Despite that, though, he'd found his way easily enough. When he got into the room filled with cots, he let his gaze wander around to find an empty bed. He spotted one towards the farthest wall, stepping over towards it and dropping the small rucksack he had on top of the trunk. With another glance around, Khris turned to let himself fall back on the bed, laying width-wise with his legs hanging off the edge and letting his eyes drift closed. If I impress, he thought, This'll be home. A permanent one. the realization was a bit strange. He hadn't had a permanent home since he was a child.
Khris hadn't intended to let himself fall asleep, but was rather just resting for a bit. He really had no idea what he was suppose to do now that he was there. No sooner, however, had he started to relax against the bed than a barrage of words started in his mind again, bringing his eyes to flick open. "Not again..." he muttered, pulling his legs up onto the bed to sit indian style, and rubbing lightly against his temples as he let his head dip forward. But this time, unlike so many times before, the words weren't only briefly there. They were lingering. Still not talking to him...but...not going away.
"Shards..." he muttered quietly, squinting his eyes shut for a moment, "I'm really loosing it this time."

OOC:((easy way to drive him nuts...he hears the screaming of a dragon. This part doesnt all have to be rped but it would be fun if it was. Tenma, and whoever else I mentioned can take over their charries and it would be fun to continue this plot with them)
A dragon screamed in pain and went *between*, thankfully appearing above the Weyr Bowl. The delicate wingsails on his left wing were now laced with black char. The blue's right wing could not compensate for the loss of the left and he began a fast spiral towards the weyrbowl as the drudges working in the bowl screamed.
Reinath, support his left wing. Be careful of the ichor. Amparath take his right wing. I will come up beneath him. Hikanth, stand by in case you are needed A giant Queen appeared from *between* followed by a smaller Queen and a bronze. Their riders were pressed flat to their backs and as far up on their necks as they could safely get. The giant Queen positioned herself under the swiftly falling blue and came up under him. The other two dragons positioned themselves so that they could catch the blue's wings and spread them out onto the Sr. Queen's large wingspan. They gently cushioned the fall of the screaming blue. His rider was slumped unconscious on his back. Ebbeth! Christae needs you and Akki to get H'par off Warth's back as quickly as possible. He has bad burns on his left arm so tell Akki to be careful! The Healers are standing by.
By now, a crowd had gathered to watch the dragons rescue. The wings had appeared over the bowl in formation, ready to lend a hand if they were needed. The Weyr Bowl was a flurry or activity as Healers and drudges rushed to prepare themselves for working with the injured dragon. The trick would be for Kaith to remove herself from below the blue when they reached the ground. Amparath and Reinath could move clear easily. Warth I know you are in pain but you need to quit thrashing or I will drop you. The Queen's voice was stern but gentle. The ground crew moved into position to receive the injured dragon as the Queen neared the ground. She landed and then vanished *between*. Some of the weyrfolk cried out in alarm. Dragons were not supposed to go *between* on the ground. But the Sr. Queen appeared again, hovering briefly above the Rim before gliding down to land near the injured dragon to control him.
A mid-sized green and her rider detached themselves from their wing and spiraled down to the Weyr Bowl. They landed near the Queen, their eyes whirling red and yellow and orange. All of the dragons' eyes showed the colors of alarm and worry. The Healers worked quickly to numb the pain of the older blue so that his screams died down to a whimper. He was soon sedated with fellis juice and his hide was slathered with redwort and then numbweed.
You should have known better Yarith! The Queen's voice was stern as she whipped her head around to face the dragon that had landed at her summons. Her rider sat on her back as the Queen admonished the young (NPC) green. They had made a grave error during their Thread training and a young blue's wingsails would take months to mend from the charring she had given him.
Warth could have been killed! Yarith's green head drooped even more and her rider winced.
My Queen, I am so sorry.
It is not me you should be apologizing to. Warth is the one who may never fly the same again.
Christae had dismounted from Kaith the minute the Queen had touched down and was working on repairing as much of the damaged wingsail as she could. It would regenerate but it would take a long time and Warth would not be able to train for a long time.

[Ooo, fun xD Okay, so I feel like I'm suppose to roleplay the NPC Searchrider. Lemme know if I'm wrong, but I do imagine that she'd be hurrying ;P Also, as a comment on something you said in my character board, about liking to hear the input of the character-creator on dragon color. Did that mean you took suggestions? xD I'd be willing to give mine, but I'm also hesitant on it, and I of course know your say is final. (Feel free to reply to that question via PM if you'd prefer that over ooc-comments)] Khris' eyes flashed wide as the talking suddenly got more urgent, and one of them actually screamed. It wasn't human. "Shut up..." he muttered again, closing his eyes tightly and lightly hitting his fist against his forehead. It had never lasted this long before. Usually, the voices just gave short clips of conversation, a call here, a greeting there. But this...wasn't stopping. There were names this time. "Get it together, Khris. It's all in your head." but he actually rolled his eyes at that, pushing back from the edge of the bed to lean sitting against the wall. He let his head tip back to rest against it as well. "What am I saying? Of course it's in my head." I don't want this to happen he thought desperately, Everything's just starting to go right! Just leave me alone. The boy actually scoffed at himself then. "Keep it up," he told himself, "And they'll start talking to you." - - - - - Another (NPC) Rider had come into the Bowl after everything started to settle down. She'd heard what had happened, of course, but everything had been taken care of at this point. "Weyrwoman Christae?" she spoke, coming to a stop by the Queenrider and giving a nod of greeting. "I'm sorry to bother you in a situation like this...but I just brought in another candidate. Strayith and I...think you should come see him." The greenrider turned her gaze over the crowd for a moment, taking a step closer to the Weyrwoman and speaking in a lower voice. She explained the situation in a hushed tone before stepping back. "We're not sure he even knows." The woman shrugged, "I didn't feel like it was my place to tell him..." she tried to explain, finishing off the comment with, "I sent him to the candidate's barracks. Please," the greenrider held her hands up, "finish here, first. I'm sure he won't go anywhere." [Again, please let me know if I wasn't suppose to do that xD]

[Ohh, I like that idea. But instead of sending someone after him, this might work well too. The Searchrider (Call her Larilik, by the way. She's sort of a random searchrider character I throw in sometimes xD Not really an 'official' character, but yeah) could be asked to stay and help, when things start going haywire. And while it's happening Chris can sort of start wandering. You know how people can be, they try to walk something off. And he can end up at the Weyrbowl? I dunno, it seems to fit. He'd see the whole situation playing out, and be able to match up the voices with the dragons, so it'd made a bit of sense. Oh, and a full-blown meeting might not be necessary, unless you wanna make him feel really awkward xP He'll probably realize he's not crazy once he matches the voices to the dragons. Though of course, he won't realize how rare/special it is, considering he's never heard of it before]

Ooc|| Ohman yes. This will feed my angstydrama addiction for tonight P:
It had happened all so fast. The injury from the Thread training they were doing, watching the injured dragon flick Between and not being able to breath for what seemed like forever because you simply just didn't know if that dragon would come back or not. And when the dragon did come back, you couldn't help but have an immense wave of relief flood over your entire body. It didn't last long though, because soon orders were being sent and repeated everywhere as dragons and riders took action, following the large gold's orders. Akki gripped onto Ebbeth with all her strength as he went spiralling towards the injured blue.
Ebbeth's eyes swirled rapidly as they took in everything before them. I'll tell her right now Ebbeth promised to Kaith, acknowledging her request. Akki! Kaith has asked us to get Warth's rider off of him. She says to be careful though, the man has burns on his left arm so try to avoid those. Once you have him, we are to bring him down and healers will care for him. Ebbeth said quickly to Akki, who responded with a loud and brief 'Hai!' in return. Ebbeth moved swiftly towards the other dragons who were trying to carefully place Warth on top of Kaith so he could be moved to the ground without harming himself any further. "I suppose you can't get any closer?" Akki asked, shifting herself closer to the slumped over rider on the blues back. 'Fraid not, I don't want to collide with anyone else. Ebbeth sniffed.
Sighing deeply, Akki moved as close to the rider as she could without falling off herself. Thankfully, Ebbeth was on the right side so Akki could easily grab the mans arm and not worry about touching the burns. Grunting, she slid his arm around her shoulder and wrapped one around his waist and after a moment she was able to heave the man from his blue, onto her own. "Shards, he's heavier than I thought." Akki said with a crooked grin, holding tightly onto the man while being careful of his burnt arm as Ebbeth spun away from the other dragons, not wanting to get into their way.
Soon as the medium blue touched the ground, healers swarmed around him, reaching up for H'par. Akki quickly passed him off to them and then proceeded to clamber off herself. She gave a two fingered almost-salute to Christae even though chances was the Weyrwoman was to busy to even see. She turned to the blue and thumped him lightly on his side, "Next time try not to go so fast when I have some unconcious bloke in my arms.". Ebbeth huffed and replied sarcastically, Next time hold on better so I can go as fast as I want.

Ooc: kk I join in then!
Hikanth had been sunning out on the barracks when suddenly he saw dragons come out of 'between' over the Weyr Bowl. The dragons who came out, however, seemed to be distressed, and so, without thinking on the matter, the large bronze quickly launched off of the barracks and in a few powerful wingstrokes was near to the others.
When given instruction by Kalith to 'stand by', the bronze replied with a serious, *yes, my Queen.* and did just that. He hovered close by until the landing was successful, and was rather surprised when Kalith went into 'between' from the ground, but now was not the time to put his mind forth on that-nor was it really his place, though he would have liked it to be!
Quickly assessing the situation he realised what had happened, and, through him, so did J'red, who'd been in the dining hall getting something to eat. However, when his dragon alerted him of injury to a rider and dragon (moreso the dragon) he set off at a quick jog down the halls, and was at the scene in no time. He spotted the WW and arrived in time to see her Queen landing beside the blue dragon that he could tell from where he stood had suffered injuries to his wing. Since there was no thread and the Queen was looking to be telling off a very 'sorry looking green' he quickly surmised what had happened.
Injuries during training happened, though not often to that extent. He walked closer for a better look, cringing inwardly when he saw the damage was even worse up close than from further away. With no need to ask 'what had happened' he continued to watch quietly, off to the side of the WW but enough in sight to offer help should it be needed. He knew that Christae would let him know if she required anything from him or his bronze, and only walked enough into her veiw to give a curt nod in greeting, letting her know he was there.
*It will be some time before the blue will fly again,* came Hikanth's acknowledgement, and he added regretfully, *and even then I do not know if he will fly the same as before.*
J'red gave a small sigh as he, too, watched the blue being administered to by the healers and thier helpers. It was likely an unnecessary accident wroght by innattention or carelessness on the part of the green and/or her rider. Accidents happened but when they could have been prevented and injuries such as the blue and his rider had suffered occurred? He wondered how Christae was taking it, or how she would deal with the 'offending rider and dragon'.
"Kalith is very upset. She tells Yanith that Warth may not fly the same. Yanith is very sorry.* Hikanth informed J'red matter-of-factly, as he watched from where he stood.
~As well she should be, the accident was likely an unnecessary error that could easily have been prevented...~
Both bronze and his rider continued to watch, though now they focused on the blue and Christae to see what the outcome would be...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tikal had only arrived at the Weyr the other day and had settled into his room without further ado. He was warned that he might have a roommate depending on how many Candidates were to arrive for the next hatching, but that didn't bother the crimson haired boy at all-he was fine with people who were fine with him. It wasn't in his nature to be uptight and he was quite easy going most of the time, though prone to taking offense if someone offended one of those he cared about or if they were unnecessarily rude or untoward with him. He'd had his breakfast in the kitchens and had been out for a walk in the Weyr bowl-he hadn't received any chores as of yet though he was of a mind to request some in the infirmary-if he was to have any say in the matter. If not, well, it could certainly not hurt to at least ask about it! He knew that there wasn't much chance of a Candidate procuring a firelizard egg, but for whatever reason he'd had it in his head that perhaps he might get one at some point during his stay here. That would have certainly been nice, to say the least. He hadn't really seen any of the Candidates with a firelizard so at least he wasn't the only one who didn't have one of the charming little creatures!
Suddenly dragons were popping out of 'between' over his head, startling the boy out of his thoughts as he quickly scurried off to the side to avoid being in their 'landing zone' and stood watching the scene with avid interest-and not just a little dismay, seeing as what appeared to be going on!
It seemed to him that the blue dragon who was being lowered to the ground by the Queen-or who he figured was the Queen, seeing as how she was the biggest Gold he'd ever seen!-was injured. As they got closer to the ground Tikal could see that both dragon and rider had been burnt-but not by thread, obviously, since it hadn't fallen in more turns than he could think of. So what had happened, then? The dragon and rider looked fairly young-was it an accident during training? It was the only conclusion he could come to, seeing as how dragons no longer had cause to flame outside of training-and in this case it appeared to be Threadfall training. He bit his lower lip, wondering if he should offer his services, seeing as how he was taught and skilled in both dragon and human healing. He didn't allow himself time to think on it, but instead boldly rushed up to the Weyrwoman and made a deep bow, accompanied with an explanation for his sudden appearance and inturruption, "My apologies for disturbing you, Weyrwoman-but I am trained in the healing craft and wondered if I could be of service... Admin's Note:
" he had yet to meet the Weyrwoman and only then thought of the oddness of running up to her in this manner, considering she'd never seen him before, and so added, "Candidate Tikal, Weyrwoman," as he looked up from his bow and straightened a little.
He hoped she wouldn't be angry with him for 'interfering' but he did not suspect that she would be since he had interfered on a valid point. The dragon was large and often more than one healer was required when both rider and dragon were injured. The least he could offer to do was help, seeing as how he was more than adequately trained/skilled in the craft.
Okay, no big. Just walk it off. Khris told himself, rubbing at his temple a bit more before swinging his legs over the side of the bed and standing up. Now that he was trying to distract himself, he noticed just how many beds near his had the lived-in feel. Not that he really minded, he just hadn't noticed before. His eyes flickered wider as another voice entered the barrage of conversation in his mind, and he shook his head roughly as if doing so would shake them out.
Khris stepped quickly towards the exit of the candidate's barracks, as fi being in there had been what had triggered the voices. But stepping out into the hall did nothing, nor did any other step after that, but he kept trying to force his mind elsewhere anyway. Unfortunately, the only thing he could think about besides the voices what the fact that he'd been searched. And that only brought him to think about the voices again. If they knew he was going crazy, would they still let him stand?
As he walked, Khris couldn't help but notice that there were people running past every so often. It was almost as if...the Weyr was getting just as active as the voices in his head. Looking ahead, he saw where they were running into, hearing voices ahead echoing off of some large expanse of space. Curiosity buzzing, the boy let his feet take him there as well.
A single peer around the corner, and his mind was buzzing again. Something had happened here, and it wasn't hard to figure out what. He could see that someone was injured - two someones, actually, the dragon and his rider. Khris let himself step just inside the entrance to the 'room', standing off to the side so as not to be in the way. This, at least, was something to get his mind off of the voices talking amongst themselves in his mind.
Or...was it? The more he watched the scene, the more the voices...seemed to match up. And as soon as he noticed that, they seemed to match up perfectly. He could even sort of...figure out which voice went to which...dragon? Khris heart was pounding now, his mind had gone numb. In another moment he'd let himself lean back and slide into a sitting position against the wall, his legs crumpling beneath him.
"It's...the dragons." he breathed, staring wide-eyed at the scene before him. Riders helping the injured Rider and dragon. Dragons helping their Riders do the same. And everything sent from dragon to Rider, or dragon to dragon, he could hear.
Well, look at that. Good news. He wasn't going crazy. Yay!
On the other hand, though..."What in Faranth's name is going on?"
“I still don’t think that’s the right way to think about it.” Radim insisted with a shake of his head. “If Impressing was based entirely by what’s in your blood, there would be no reason for dragons to go on Search.”
The other boy he had been talking to waved a hand as he retreated around the corner with a smirk. Radim himself scowled. Leaving in the middle of a debate was not something he was fond of. Picking up half the roll that was left of his meal, the Candidate headed for the Bowl. He had done enough chores to his liking for a Candlemark or so, and had opted to avoid the Barracks for a bit. As he emerged into the light, a rather unexpected site greeted him, and the thought of avoiding chores was pushed to the back of his mind.
There were several Wings circling above the Bowl, and there were way too many people about. Radim’s gray eyes narrowed as the light glinted off the gold hide of a Queen. A quick count revealed two blues and a green on the ground as well. The main activity was centered around one of the blues. Obviously, it had been injured. A Weyrling probably. Radim continued forward, glancing sideways as a few more people ran past him. He had no Healing training, and did not know much about dragon health. He needed to stay out of everyone’s way in this situation, but curiosity made his feet move forward.
He recognized the other blue on the ground. As he got closer, he searched out Ebbeth’s rider, and spotted her standing next to her dragon. He felt a little odd walking briskly around all the activity, including a group of Healers tending to who must have been the injured blue’s rider. He had obviously missed the initial bustle, because the situation looked to be somewhat under control. Pausing to glance at the huge gold now that he was closer, he decided that she had to be the Weyrwoman’s.
“Akki.” He greeted, a serious look on his face as he came to stand next to the first rider he had met at Dark Moon. “What happened?”
Riler had been lazing the Weyr for most of the day; he had finished all—or rather, most of—the chores he had been assigned that day. In his spare time, Riler decided to ascend to one of the abandoned weyrs, one that was not terribly high up in the air, but not one that was really close to the ground. He liked to get a good view of Dark Moon, from one of the weyrs. It wasn’t often that he was invited into one of them. His feet dangling over the ledge, he sat quietly for quite a while, until the peace in the Weyr Bowl was disturbed. A dragon, for that was the only thing that could make a scream that loud, went between, reappearing back over the Weyr Bowl. The sky was soon filled with dragons and riders, all in an attempt to save the injured blue dragon as it fell with dangerous speed towards the ground. The Sr. Queen, accompanied by another gold and a bronze, soared under and around the falling blue. Akki and her blue, Ebbeth, soared next to the hurt blue rider and pulled him off. Then the Sr. Queen touched the ground, and disappeared into between. Riler gasped. Dragons weren’t supposed to go between from being on the ground. Riler gave a quick praise to the First Egg when the Queen reappeared over the Weyr Bowl, exhaling after he realized he had been holding his breath.
Riler noticed that Akki was landing with the injured rider. Somewhat frightened for both the dragon’s and the rider’s sake, he ask Akki what happened and whether or not the pair would be okay. Riler quickly climbed to the ground and raced across the Weyr Bowl. Ebbeth was planted firmly on the ground, and it didn’t appear that they were taking off. Panting, Riler slouched down to catch his breath, before asking Akki, “What *pant* just happened?”
((just so you know guys it isnt W'ling practice...it was Threadfall practice. We don't have W'lings old enough to be flying yet. The blue that was injured was from one of the wings. The green came out from a mock thread flaming and caught the blue and his rider from the left side ---thats for the riders who would have been at threafall practice)
Akki leaned against Ebbeth as they both watched the injured dragon to be tended too. Akki would offer her help, however, she had a lack of knowledge when it came down to healing and chances were she would just end up making it worse. She shook her head, and rested her chin on her hand as she tapped her fingers along her cheek. She didn't know what was worse for the dragon, the pain from the injury itself or the knowledge that he might not be able to fly properly ever again. This just proved that a mistake in Threadfall practice could be dangerous, and she prayed that nothing would happen like this when real Thread was falling. She turned her head, her eye catching someone she had never noticed before, who was staring wide-eyed at everything that was happening. But before she had a chance to ask who he was from Ebbeth, she heard someone call her name.
"Hello Radim." Akki said pleasantly, "How are you doing on this peculiar day?". At Radim's question she cast a look over at the green who was currenty being scolded, who looked quite apologetic about what had happened. "Unfortunately it was something that could have been prevented." Akki explained. "The blue and his rider got caught when a dragon was threadscoring flaming, and after that it was all a frenzy.". She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear with a, "Too bad we can't go back in time, eh?".
Within a moment, Hasima and Rimith appeared beside Ebbeth and Akki. Rimith had told the girl what had happened, and they both set off to the Weyrbowl, however since Hasima had a 'inability' to move quickly it seemed it took them a few moments to get there. The yellow rider smiled weakly at Akki who grinned back widely. "You missed us in action Hasima, Rimith. Ebbeth and I even took part." Akki said, winking to no one in particular. And when Hasima opened her mouth to say something, Riler came up, panting out a question.
Ebbeth lowered his head, and stared at Riler with a whirling eye. Yamith accidently injured Warth during our practice. The blue explained, only to get a tongue stuck out at him by his rider who wanted to tell the story.
Radim's face took on a questioning look at Akki's question. He would have felt odd talking about his day when there were people darting about an injured dragon with worried looks on their faces. He sighed inwardly as the bluerider continued to speak, and ran a hand through his red hair. He knew from Fort that even the practice of flaming could be dangerous, especially right after coming out of Between. But it was no wonder that there was such commotion; it looked to be the wings of the blue that had been hit.
"They made it to ground safely?" He said, slightly surprised. It was more of an astonished conclusion than a question. His gaze followed Akki's to the green dragon. The rider certainly looked distraught if anything. "It was their fault, then..."
The arrival of a dragon he had never seen before shut the candidate's mouth. It was yellow, and for a moment Radim forgot about the reason he had come out to the Bowl. Akki had told him that Dark Moon had several mutations, but the yellow dragon caught him plainly off guard as it landed. It was a little small, and he wondered if it was full grown or not. Nevertheless, he barely noticed the other boy run up and ask the bluerider the same question he had.
"...hello." He said by way of greeting, glancing away back to the injured blue before staring at the yellow again.
Okay...so...lets try to figure this out. There were plenty of people around, after all. Certainly he could pull someone aside and ask questions. Someone who was in the crowd that looked like they'd lived there a bit longer than he had...or in some Weyr, anyway.
He caught sight of a somewhat taller boy with long red hair standing in what looked to be somewhere in the middle of the fray. He might've been speaking to someone before, but at the moment he was standing quietly. Gathering his legs beneath him, he managed to muster his strength back up and get to his feet.
Khris started over, sending shifty glances around as he put himself more into the center of the bowl, watching the dragons on both sides. He wasn't sure what to think of it, really...but it was starting to feel kind of loud. In fact, he was starting to get a headache somewhere behind his eyes. The boy looked over towards the red-head when he got close enough, trying to shake off any left-over shock to look somewhat put together, calm.
He didn't want to just start asking questions right away though, considering someone had been injured. "Good to see they got to the ground safely..." he blinked once, "Eh...I mean, without getting hurt anymore than they already...were..." Dimglow! but his words weren't cooperating with him very much anyway, considering his mind was still buzzing with his own thoughts as well as the various words of dragons flying left and right. How do the people here concentrate, with all that...noise. even though it wasn't really noise.
Shifting his gaze back to the boy, he squinted an eye lightly, "So..." he went on, figuring it was now or never to ask the question, "Do they always...talk so much?" Okay, so honestly he'd never heard of people at a Weyr being able to hear all the dragons. Actually, he'd always been under the impression that dragons only spoke to their Riders. But...maybe he'd been wrong? Maybe he'd been misinformed. He wasn't a Rider, after all, so why else would he be able to hear all the speech?
Christae glanced up from the wingsail she was slathering with numbweed. "Candiate Tikal, I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting you but the pleasantries will have to wait. If you know a bit about healing then you know what needlethorn, redwort, thread, and numbweed look like. I need more of those and lots of them. Then if you have steady hands I will need your help holding the linen I will be sewing the sail to steady. If you have a faint stomach go help the drudges after you get me the stuff I listed." She pointed. "The Infirmary is through that smaller opening near the Dining Cavern and the storeroom is the small room on the left. Second door. Be quick." Her hands were red up to the elbows from the redwort she had used to steralize her hands to prevent the charred and injured wingsail from becoming infected.
The WW's eyes scanned the crowd. "Akki." She called out, hoping to be heard above the noise. She saw the little yellow as well as the blue her friend rode but the raccous was too loud.
~Kaith love, get Akki and Hasima's attention.~
Ebbeth, Rimith, your riders are needed.
When their attention had been grabbed she yelled out. "I need some hands to go help Tikal carry supplies. Send the two Candidates with you out to help him. Akki I need Wolf to come to me and I also need some steady hands. Find them for me." Kaith relayed the message to the dragons as well just in case the noise level was too loud.
((maybe Khris could ask a dragon what is going on...maybe Kaith since she is talking the most? you don't have to go with that idea...it was just a thought))
Rhia had her hands full with all of the young Weyrlings and their dragonets. The dragonets were crying piteously for the most part and some of the Weyrlings were rather shocked. They had never had to deal with such a horrible injury before. The WLM and her dragon were with their charges in the W'ling court calming down those dragonets who were rather hysterical. When they matured, it would still bothe them but not as much. As it was, several of the dragonets' hides had an ashy tinge to it. A lot of the dragons' hides were dull because of the severity of the blue's wounds. There had been injuries before but nothing this bad.
"Yeah, good thing too other wise the dragon and rider would be worse off." Akki said, clucking her tongue in dismay. "It was a team effort. Kaith basically had the blue on her back and lowered him with the help of some other while Ebbeth and I got H'par off." Akki explained quickly. "It was pretty darn organized for being so sudden, I must say." Akki replied with a grin, proud of what they had accomplished. She shook her finger at the boy, "Now, now. I'm sure those two feel horrible enough, don't add on to their troubles. It was a mistake, an unfortunate one."
Akki grinned when she noticed that Radim was staring almost openly at Rimith. "Hasima, Rimith, meet Radim." Akki said, introducing the two as Hasima blushed and murmured a soft reply. Greetings The pale yellow crooned to the boy. Both Ebbeth's and Rimith's head snapped towards Kaith, listening patiently. Hasima, you are needed. Rimith said hurriedly to her rider, as Ebbeth did the same to his rider. Both riders listened patiently to the orders, before nodding in unison.
"Ebbeth! Contact Ersith, tell her that we require R'xis' help in the Weyrbowl. He has steady hands." Akki ordered her blue, whose eyes swirled in acknowledgement. Ersith, your rider is needed in the Weyrbowl. Much is happening, hurry. Ebbeth said, repeating the message to the female brown. Akki placed two fingers into her mouth and blew, a loud whistle sounding and within a moment a green flitt nervously appeared beside her. "Sargon, see if you can find any other candidates, like Layden or anyone. More or less tell them to come here. Christae requires help." The blue rider instructed the green flitt who dissapeared Between without a moments pause. Akki wrapped a strand of hair around her fingers, "Ebbeth, also contact Serinth and Wolf. Tell them everything.". The blue nodded, obliging as quickly as possible. With that done, Akki set off towards Christae, it was easier to hear orders right from her anyhow.
Hasima turned away from Christae, looking down at Rimith and whispered, "Do anything you can or are told too.". The yellow crooned in reply, she would follow orders without hesitation. Hasima smiled nervously at the two candidates that were with her and Akki and with a small hand gesture, beckoned them to follow her. She walked to where Tikal stood, and flashed him a small smile which was followed by her normal blush. Sure, she could have just told the two candidates where to go and sent them off to Tikal themselves, however that possibility was unnoticed by the some-what slow girl. She murmured a soft goodbye and shuffled towards Akki and Christae.
((Akki I meant for her to send the Candidates with Tikal and for her and Hasima to come to her.))
He didn’t notice that he had rudely cut off Hasima from speaking. “An accident?” Riler asked, fixing his posture to appear more attentive. “That seems like a mighty big accident,” he commented as he scratched his head, confused. He had seen a few dragon injuries; but nothing to this degree of seriousness. He wouldn’t dare call himself a dragon-medic, but even Riler could tell that the injured blue could have permanent damage. He bit the bottom of his lip, nervous for both dragon and rider’s sake.
To the side of him, Riler heard a mumbled “Hello.” He turned to see a boy, about his age, with red hair, staring at Hasima’s yellow dragonet, Rimith. He gave the boy a cheerful “Hello,” before looking up at Hasima, who was being introduced to the boy beside him—Radim, he thought to himself, she called him Radim, I must remember that name. Then, simultaneously, the dragonriders nodded and Akki began barking orders to Ebbeth. Riler supposed that both Akki and Hasima were given orders through the other dragons. What those orders could possibly be were anyone’s guess. Hasima gestured for Riler and Radim to follow after her. He obliged, and was led to a person he did not recognize. Hasima seemed to blush upon looking at him, upon which Riler tried his best to hide a smile. She always seemed so timid and shy, it was rather amusing to see her blush just by looking at someone.
[That sounds like a plan, but he probably wouldn't do it on purpose. However, any thoughts that I put in itallics? Feel free to have the dragons pick up on xD They're sort of thoughts he's directly speaking, but since he doesn't have a dragon of his own, he doesn't know how to directly send his thoughts. But I figure, if the dragons are close enough, they could pick up on them if you wanted.]
Khris backed off when the older woman started speaking and giving out orders, considering the boy he'd asked the question of was given orders as well. He suddenly felt very out of place. Why had he even stepped into the middle of it all if he had nothing to do? Because I wanted to figure out what was going on with my head. he thought mildly, somewhat chiding himself on how selfish that'd been. He could still feel his heart beating quickly from the entire situation, but he was suddenly more at east with waiting for an explanation. Dealing with the two that were injured was more important than sorting out the voices in his head.
He flicked his gaze over to the woman whom everyone was calling Akki as she spoke aloud to her blue dragon, blinking once as the words were all mirrored by words from the blue. It was distracting, or it would be if he was trying to do something, and he was wondering how it wasn't distracting to everyone else. Maybe they got used to it after awhile, but that didn't seem right either. Even if they got used to it, they wouldn't act like they couldn't hear it. With that thought, he blinked once. If this keeps up...I'll have to get used to it.
Now, at this point Khris was very grateful to know that he wasn't loosing his mind. And he understood that any questions he had weren't going to be answered right now, there was just too much going on that needed to be dealt with. With that in mind, the boy started to let himself back out of the fray, not wanting to get in the way of anything. He didn't exactly have any skills that would help at this point. He wasn't a healer, and he didn't have a dragon. Khris let his back press against the wall of the bowl, closing his eyes and lifting a hand to rub at his temples.
Once it's over. he told himself, Once it's over, I'll get this sorted out... the boy sighed lightly, Shards, though, do I ever wanna know what's going on with me.
