How it seemed that time just flew by without any warning. Everyone was getting older, though that didn't necessarily mean they were getting any more mature. The Hatching seemed like forever ago and so did the disastrous night of the Feast. Why was it that moments that were supposed to be so special, so unforgettable, always seem to end catastrophically?
R'xis lay on his cot, Ersith with him, resting her head on his stomach. R'xis had just recently treated her with a good oiling, following-up the oiling with a feeding. The female Brown was perfectly content-in some ways-while in other ways she was nothing less of disheartened. R'xis scratched her eyeridges, helping her to relax. The boy could hardly articulate an expression these days, let alone a smile. It wasn't because everything was going wrong, on the contrary, practically everything was going right-all except one thing: Akki. Ersith understood this yet couldn't help but feel as if she needed to help in some way. The boy hadn't talked about her since the Feast, nor had he bothered to find-out where she happened to be.
After the crisis at the lake, where both Queen Kaith and Blue Ebbeth spoke to Ersith's rider, R'xis hadn't gone back to the Feast as instructed. Instead the boy had gone back to the Barracks to get some shut-eye. All he did was do his chores and take Ersith out for walks, then after he'd come back to the Barracks and retire to his cot. The Weyrling Lessons were keeping the pair partially occupied, which was a good thing-or so Ersith hoped. So, how are you feeling? Ersith asked, hating the silence that separated them. I'm feeling fine, never better. R'xis closed his blue eyes over, inhaling sharply. He didn't see a reason to explain to Ersith what she already knew. R'xis was happy when he was with Ersith, he expressed this to her many times over so it wasn't as if he was mistreating the dragonet. Ersith felt mirthful with the relationship that they had with one another. She didn't believe that any other could love her more, or be more right for her. Ersith replied quietly, nuzzling the boy's side affectionately. R'xis re-opened his eyes, turning his head to the side; deep in thought about the only thing there was to be deeply in thought about.

Normally Akki never went into the weyrling barracks, at least not by herself, she usually had someone in two with her as they went off gallavanting to see who they could find. But she didn't have much of a choice this time, she couldn't find any weyrling whose hand she could grab as they made plans to burst into the barracks and kidnap people and snatch them away to the lake. However, her reasons for being there today was not for kidnapping people, oh no. You see, Hasima and Rimith were in Akki's weyr a few days back and Hasima commented on a dress that the rider had.
Now, the dress wasn't anything extravagant. It was rather simple, plain if you will but it seemed to have caught Hasima's attention. After a days worth of pondering, she folded the bright red dress that would compliment the yellow riders black hair and stored it away until she saw Hasima again so she could give it to her. Much to Akki's despair, she wasn't able to catch up to Hasima for the next couple of days. So, with dress in hand, she decided to go deliver it herself and see if she could get the girl and her pale dragon to join her in the kitchens for something to nibble.
Whistling to herself slightly, she peered into Hasima's room, only to find it empty. "No!" Akki said in a wail ."That girl is so sneaky. I try to do something nice and surprise and she slips away from the face of Pern." Akki cried out loud as she gently hit her head against the wall. Shaking her head with slightly wonder at to where the girl could have went, she placed the dress on top of her cot and skipped away. She peered into the boys side of the barracks, now bored. Maybe if she was lucky someone would be in the guys barracks that would chat away with her and make plans to rule Pern.
"J'kel!" She said in a yelling whisper, even though she had a good idea that her partner in crime wouldn't be in his room but instead out running around to find something to do. "Is there anyone here who wants to make some devious plans with a bored me?" She said, continouing in the yelling whisper as she put a conspiratory tone in her voice. It registered slightly that there was the chance of R'xis being in the barracks, something that made her smile almost sadly.
She still hadn't seen the boy ever since the feast, no matter how many corners she looked around in an attempt to find him. Ebbeth breifly told her that he did indeed talk to her at the lake after the feast, but wouldn't say anything other than that. Sighing, she flopped onto the ground, pondering. Where was that sneak Hasima? Just who was J'kel chasing around? Was R'xis in the barracks? She picked up a few pieces of her hair and examined them, only to have another question pop up.
"Will I ever get rid of these nasty split ends?"

The voice R'xis hadn't heard for awhile, the only voice that made him calm other then Ersith's, entered his mind without warning. R'xis fell right off the cot, almost having dragged Ersith down with him. He lay on the floor, rubbing the side of his face that had come in contact with it. He sat up uneasily, feeling that it was very possible that he was going insane. Why would Akki come around here first of all? Secondly, why would she ask someone to go traipsing around with her? Okay... so maybe the second thing was an Akki-like thing to do but still...
Are you alright! Ersith's worried feminine voice called out. She jumped off the bed, ungracefully landing next to R'xis. "A bump, a bruise, no big deal" R'xis said, sighing. Ersith crooned sympathetically, looking to the entrance way since it was where the girl's voice had come from. The brown attempted to meet Akki's gaze, unsure if she should notify her rider of the girl's prescience.
Notifying him soon became unnecessary when the boy looked up from his lap and to the Blue rider. R'xis didn't move a muscle, he too attempting to meet Akki's gaze. The face he had pictured in his mind for days was now clear before him. What was he to say or do? He didn't feel as if he knew what would be proper anymore; what he would and wouldn't get scolded for. Ersith's tail thrashed behind her as R'xis' nervous behavior continued.

Akki didn't hear the 'Thump' that normally accompanied someone falling, a noise she was used too after hanging around with J'kel so long. She was too busy muttering to herself as she wrinkled her nose at her hair, she definitely needed a trim. She did a dramatic flop, falling backwards, letting herself splay into the middle of the boy barrack hallway. Of course now it looked like she had fell unconciously onto the ground if someone saw from a bit away, but she didn't realize that. She was busying herself trying to blow the hair out of her face.
"You know. If someone is in one of these barracks and listening to me talking to myself and complaining, this is very awkward. For both of us. Well. Not so much me actually, but probably you. After all, you don't know if I've gone crazy or not." She voiced out loud, obviously bored but not just bored enough to pick herself up off of the floor and go wander back to her weyr. She let out a whiny sound and turned her head to the side.
Was it just her imagination, or was there a blob of brown between those two bangs? Using her hand to swipe them away, a grin appeared onto her face. "Ersith? Is that you?" She asked out loud, not exactly noticing the fact that R'xis was also there due to the fact there happened to be a chunk of her hair blocking him out from view. Of course she probably looked very odd to the female brown dragon, laying on the ground and all, but that didn't make her get up.

The human and dragon pair sat there and watched as Akki flopped onto the floor carelessly. R'xis' first instinct was to see if she was okay, inching forward a bit until he realized he had become completely immobile. There he was, on his hands and knee's, staring at Akki whom was mere meter's in front of him. Ersith sniffed as she was addressed by her friend. It's me alright, she sent to her, staying put. Ersith left R'xis out, assuming that Akki was unaware that the boy was there too by the way she was currently expressing herself.
R'xis shakily moved closer to Akki once having regained the use of his arms and legs, though he remained crawling. He soon was by her head, hanging his head over her own in order to be able to look upon her face, though upside down. His blond bangs fell forward while he wondered if he was still breathing. R'xis' new behavior struck Ersith as weird. In any case Ersith felt it wasn't the right time to comment so she turned back to R'xis' cot-jumping up. The dragonet curled-up, making herself comfortable upon it. She closed one eye over, leaving the other wide-open.
R'xis didn't move or utter a single word. There was few times when he enjoyed the silence but now was one of those times. It was like, for example, when one person is staring at another from across the room and they meet each other's gaze. All other voices and sounds seem to drown-out and nothing matters but the moment being shared.
Ersith was glad that they were the only three in the Barracks, it made the whole situation far less awkward. As the dragonet's other eye closed she was soon reminded of some one she too hadn't seen in awhile. I have a feeling your in on this current event too, greetings, Ersith sent to the bigger Blue. I've missed talking with you. Anything new to report? Perhaps this bump-in with Akki had been a good thing after all, as long as she got to interact with the Blue rider's dragon.

The grin grew wider on her face as the brown confirmed it was indeed who the blue rider thought the dragon was. "So it is!" She cried happily. "I haven't seen you for a while. Have you been hiding from me?" Akki asked, pretending to admonish the dragon. "Or have I been unknowingly avoiding you?" She asked out loud so she could ponder about it for a quick second before shrugging. "How are you?"
The thing about having bangs was the fact they loved to hide things from view. So much, that she didn't even realize that R'xis was there until he was right over her. Of course by this time, she was starting to rise herself up so she could be propped up on her elbows. However, she only rose a few inches off the ground before his face popped into her view. A three second scream came from her mouth, one filled with surprise as she fell back onto the ground. Her hand fluttered to her chest as she wailed, "R'xis! You can't scare old ladies like this.". Looking up at him with a small smile, "Next time just hug me or just say 'Hey'. Kay?".
I was informed that she was delivering a gift too Hasima. She never mentioned anything about embarassing herself. Ebbeth replied happily, glad to be able to talk to the brown once again. Anything new? Other than the fact that weyr life is keeping me too busy to talk to pretty little gender confused dragons? Ebbeth said with a silent laugh.

Ersith quickly replied, Its quite hard to say how I've been, I'm not too sure. Good's the word. Ersith returned to her conversation with Ebbeth after having politely replied to Akki. Thank-you, I've found it hard not speaking with... you. If the dragonet could have blushed she would have been right about now, her tail rising up over her maw. Akki always seems to find a way of making things more exciting, no?
R'xis jumped a bit when Akki screamed, his heart beating quickly. "Sorry, sorry," he apologized twice. His purpose hadn't been to scare her. "A hug will do next time," he agreed. His lips twitched, forming an amused smirk. "So then, here we are" he felt the need to point out. "How are you?" His question came out sounding more loving then he perhaps intended but he doubted that it was something he was any good at holding back. He enjoyed looking into her eyes, they were always so full of life and energy. "I'm going to guess you'd be asking me the same thing so I'll tell you, I've been hanging in as best I can." 'Hanging by two fingers,' he thought to himself. 'Why can't I just say: I've been miserable without you?' he wondered frustratingly. He knew the real reason why though: he didn't want to make her feel bad for something she had no control over. It hadn't been her decision really, rules are rules and often you either obey them or break them. R'xis wasn't sure what kind-of guy he wanted to be in this situation when it came to following the rules.
"I can only hope you've been good I mean-" he broke off, talking low since they were close enough to not have to use a normal level.

Akki had the faint feeling that Ersith was talking to Ebbeth, who confirmed this a few moments later, and didn't reply, leaving the two dragons to talk freely with one and another. It was good to have the knowledge that Ebbeth was talking to Ersith. The blue had missed their interesting conversations, but didn't want to make anything more awkward for the female brown and her rider. I'm glad it was not a one sided thing then. Ebbeth chuckled as he flicked his tail in his and Akki's weyr. I think exciting is the wrong word. Or at least, the Akki part is wrong. It's more of her extravagance that tends to make things....different than before.
"Haha." Akki laughed, "Guess I scared you too. I shouldn't have screamed so loudly. Next time I'll give you a warning. I guess we're even then, we both scared each other.". She nodded in agreement, "Yes. Hug next time. No scaring.". She propped herself up on her elbows, glancing around to make sure no more heads would pop out of nowhere as she did so. "Good. Actually that's a lie. Nearly everyone has dissapeared on me. Even Hasima, and here I was trying to surprise her with a gift." She said as she shook her head, as if silently admonishing to go off without her. She a frown appeared on her face, a joking one of course, "Am I that predictable? How do you know instead of asking you in return I wasn't going to say, 'Gosh R'xis. Are you aware that you're clothes have suddenly turned pink while you weren't paying attention?'". She shifted her body again, this time so she could sit cross legged so she didn't have to sweep the ground with her back or hair anymore.
She shook at him, her hair moving around her as she did so. "Just hanging in there? Come on now R'xis. You can't be Mr. Depressed-and-hanging-in-there, those guys are boring. I met one before, he fell asleep on me. It was awkward.". She wrapped her arms around her knees. "I've been pretty good. Trying to keep myself busy, I met a few new people also. There's this guy, Riler. He's nice, you'd like him. And there's also Layden. I'm still making my mind up about him."

R'xis sat down in the same position, facing Akki. "I know, it's not cool," he replied. He couldn't help but chuckle a little at her given example. "It's just..." he trailed off. 'What am I supposed to say to her?' he wondered, he couldn't help but feel awkward. This wasn't the kind of conversation he felt like having at this particular moment-or ever. "It's not easy," he concluded. R'xis was sensitive, that was clear with everything that had passed both recently and over the past few months. He looked off to the right, and then down to his lap, before looking back at her face... Her beautiful face. 'We're both mature here, it's not like I shouldn't be able to discuss this with her. If anything it's me making the whole situation awkward by not openly talking about it.' He took a moment to ponder more over that thought before continuing to speak. He didn't look away from her, not just because he didn't want to break eye contact, but because once again he wanted Akki to know that he meant what he said. 'How much harder am I making this for her though?' he wondered. 'I hate decisions.' "I want to be with you Akki." 'That didn't sound creepy, did it?' he panicked. 'It's nothing she doesn't already know,' he sighed. "And I've already been over the complications in my head a thousand times over, I know that it'll be a long time before we can ah... Come to that?" he began, trying to find the proper words for what he truly wanted to say. "I don't expect you to wait for me, and I just want you to be happy in the end. That's all that really matters, and Ersith needs to be happy too."
Ersith looked over at her Rider when she heard her name mentioned, soon returning to gazing at the wall blankly as she talked with Ebbeth; trying to imagine him there with her. Every one needs some one to love them... she told Ebbeth, hoping her slight change in the conversation topic wouldn't unnerve him. Couldn't R'xis just... well, have a 'gentle' relationship with her? I mean, as long as there's no intensities, as I've been told, I should be fine otherwise.
R'xis took no note of his dragonet's glance. "When you-when you feel a certain 'way' about some one, it's almost like you'd do anything to be with that person. That's h-how I feel and..." he trailed off to swallow, his mouth and throat becoming a bit dry. "Akki, Ersith can't function with out me happy and when I'm not, well, 'with you'..." he trailed off again, starting up again as before: "I'm not near as happy as I could be. Do you know what I mean? I mean, even a light relationship, just a simple one... Just enough so that I know-so that I know we're together?" He felt proud of himself because he had been able to keep eye contact with her through his mini-speech. He began to dread that feeling of his heart skipping a beat as well as the feeling of losing his breath when ever he waited for Akki to reply to something serious.

As R'xis spoke Akki unwrapped one arm from her knees and gnawed on the side of her thumb. Serious talks weren't her thing, they never were and they probably never would be. Whenever a serious chat started, she couldn't help but wring her hands or something like that, to keep herself partially distracted. She blew the bangs out of her face, watching them flutter back downwards. Akki never had been good at tying things down, at settling down. She found it hard to leave a place if you had too many people connected to you there. And she was kind of planning to leave Dark Moon, go around a bit and see if she can find her family. But could she do that if she had someone who loved her here, at Dark Moon, make them wait for her return even if she may not return?
"You hated me at first." Akki said with a soft grin. "I pushed Wolf into the water, and your face, it twisted into fury, or disgust. Can't remember what." She snickered, avoiding eye contact. "Kinda weird how things change so quickly, huh?" She said, now looking down at the ground. She looked up at R'xis and crinkled her nose slightly, not sure what to say. "I don't care if I'm happy or not, I have a small attention span. I can distract myself a thousand times so unwanted thoughts don't come to me. I want you to be happy, Ersith too, of course."
Ebbeth bobbed his head in agreement, even though he was fully aware Ersith couldn't see him. True, true. But our riders will always have us and vice versa which helps. Ebbeth paused for a moment. It's harder when you're a rider, when you're fully aware of what can happen. The blue spoke almost gently, an image of a certain girl flashing through his mind, Nike.
She shook her head to herself, the image of Nike also flashed through her mind, how could it not? She had watched the girl and K'dan throw away everything for each other, and Akki didn't even know if it ended up well. She didn't want to do something like that, not just yet. "Friends for now, who knows what later?" Akki offered with a lopsided, almost sad, grin. She twisted a strand of hair, how could she say right then and there, "No" Admin's Note:
She liked what she had, and she didn't want to see things change for the worse if she agreed to it. Plus, Akki didn't have the heart to break Christae's rules, the Weyrwoman surely had enough to go through already.

R'xis couldn't tell whether or not he was starting to get on her nerves. She was sure about her decision, he could see that now. What ever suited her fancy he'd have to just suck up and deal with. He nodded his head to her, "okay, sounds good," was all he said. He continued to sit there, not sure what there possibly was to talk about now. He twiddled his thumbs, looking down at them pathetically as his blond bangs fell over a section of his eyes. He would have liked to kiss her and pull some cheesy line like: "Just so I'll always remember," but he knew to be smart rather then impulsive. He was already starting to feel the guilt for having asked Akki to break a rule because it suited his fancy. Ebbeth and Kaith had already spoken to him and apparently it hadn't gone to his head well enough. When was he going to stop burdening this young girl's life? She was such a successful Rider and her duty was to serving Pern, she didn't want a young Weyrling boy trailing after her like some one with only a box to live in. R'xis sat up straight, shuffling a bit to make himself more comfortable. He didn't look at Akki, rather he looked anywhere but her... He thought about her words of how he had disliked her at first. 'Then I actually got to know you,' he thought to himself. 'Where is Wolf anyways?' he wondered.
His little sister was so much like himself, her teenage mind tangled in the romantic aspect of life too. Normally he would be all nervous about this thought, since before he had never wanted to join in on the whole 'dating scene.' Now though? Well now he understood perfectly where she was coming from. He stretched up, extending his arms out before letting them fall back into his lap. 'It's just another day,' he realized. (( Creepy because I typed that with out even thinking about the title of this board. xD ))
Ersith knew that Ebbeth was right, and she didn't feel like sitting around any longer. She slipped off of the bed, sitting down up on the floor. You're right Ebbeth, she smiled, eyes whirring a blue. A dragonrider and there dragon are always connected to something so big, so important. We all serve a purpose here, she noted.

Akki couldn't help but notice that R'xis seemed almost crestfallen about her answer and she couldn't help but regret having everything so fast, so early. She bit on the inside of her lip, and couldn't help but wonder if she should stand up, pat his cheek and tell him that this entire thing was a mistake. It wasn't of course, at least not in her mind. But she wanted to see R'xis happy, to laugh without a thought of anything else. She thought that maybe if she did a clean, simple break than things would heal faster and R'xis would move on.
But did she really want him to move on? Or did she want him to wait until everything, everyone, was older? She wouldn't mind cutting R'xis loose, and then when he was older ask him if he still wanted to go through with this if he still felt the same way. She let out a sigh, hoping to hide it as a loud exhale as she grinned. "That was a funny day. You were shooting me death looks, right then and there.". She ran her hand through her hair, as if hoping to feel all the seperate colors in it. "If you want, we can always set you up with Hasima." Akki said with a grin, picturing R'xis bursting Hasima's shy, almost protective bubble. She almost regretted her words instantly, a rare occurance, maybe it was too soon to make jokes.
Ebbeth snickered, And between serving our purpose, we have a little fun. A war with splashing, a game of tag in the skies.

R'xis' gaze quickly shot to her as she made her wrongly timed joke. "It's not funny," he told her. It could be thought that one could see a shimmer of water flowing through his blue eyes but as soon as he looked off to the side it was hard to tell. What more was he supposed to say? Did she just expect him to be all: "let's throw a party" Admin's Note:
He didn't feel like sitting there any longer, but at the same time he didn't want to ruin there friendship. How could you be friend's with some one that you loved though and yet just accept that friendship was all it was ever going to be? 'Is losing her completely what I want?' he wondered, not daring to look to the girl sitting in front of him. 'I'm making it harder for both of us, aren't I?' He knew what he wanted to say right now but he couldn't decide if it would be out of anger or if he'd actually mean it. It was so difficult when you just wanted some one to love, and for them to love you in return. That's all he wanted, but it wasn't very often that he did happen to like some one. He said in an emotionless voice: "Maybe it's a mistake, maybe all of this is just a mistake. You're a remarkable Rider, I'm sorry for having involved you in something that has been a waste of valuable-time. Tomorrow it'll be just a dream, as if I'd just made it all up, I bet. None of it will seem real because everything has changed. You'll no longer be around because it's just too hard and Wolf's not little anymore so she'll be off doing whatever it is she does all day long. Ersith's my only ally." He had meant his latter comment to come out sounding serious but really it was quite a humorous statement since currently the dragon had her head tilted to the side; staring at him.
"I appreciate everything you've done and I want you to know that I respect you all the more for your having made the decision you did. It's me that shouldn't have started this, all of it was my fault and I don't mind carrying the truth on my own shoulders. For now I'd like to bid you a good day and let you carry on with what ever work you have to get done. Go and find Hasima, I'm sure she'll be happy." He had never had to do something so hard as what he was about too: forcing a smile to appear up on his face when the water liquid was starting to pass over his ocean blue eyes again. He leaned forward and kissed her on the lips, holding it for a moment or two before he pulled away until he was inches away from her face. "Just so I won't forget in the years to come," he said. 'Yep, it came out sounding just as cheesy as I had imagined it, oh well, at least I tried' he thought to himself.
He didn't want to get up and run like he had last-time, even though it was killing him as he sat back in his former position. He studied her face, trying to see her without really 'seeing.' Let's just say he didn't want to have to see her reaction, to have to feel the disappointment he knew he was sure to feel when he did see her react. He just sat there, as if waiting for her to get up and leave. 'Just get up and leave...' he told her in his thoughts. 'Just get up and leave so I don't have to tell you that I love you.'
Ersith tried to focus on Ebbeth but the way her rider currently felt was taking up most of her attention. It sounds so delightful! she told him enthusiastically. She didn't want to get into anything related to R'xis and Akki. This whole situation was quite messy, like the egg goo when she had first hatched except unshakable.

She couldn't help but flinch at his words. "Ah, right. Too soon for jokes. Sorry, I'm tactless." She amended with a smile that was so pathetic, it shouldn't even count as a smile. She rubbed the side of her face with the palm of her hand, "I've never been good when it's come down to serious-ness." She admitted with a sadistic snort of amusement. Akki's shoulders slumped as she heard R'xis's words. The corner of her mouth twitched upwards, "Wolf hasn't been little for a long time R'xis. Not for a long time.". Her eyebrows pulled together, "Happy? I don't get it. What would Hasima be happy about?". The yellow rider would never admit it, but it would tear her apart to see the blue rider and R'xis speak to each other formally and awkwardly, to avoid eye contact with one and another. She was half expecting the kiss to come, but did nothing to encourage more and pulled away when he did also.
She stood up, mumbling a few curses under her breath as she ferociously rubbed her face with both hands now. "A clean break. A clean break will make things easier and faster to heal." She murmured, but who was it directed too? R'xis, or herself? She didn't want to just lose R'xis right then and there, she enjoyed his company too much. But she couldn't break Christae's rules, she just couldn't bring herself to do something like that. She had wanted to be a rider for so long, and a good rider at that. She didn't want to make a snap decision that could destory everything. She thrusted out her hand at the boy on the ground, "I'm Akki.".
Now, either R'xis could think she had completely lost her mind from this, or he could get what she was going at. A fresh new start, everything left behind, a new beginning. This time, one with no confusing romances, at least, not yet but maybe in the future. Of course, R'xis had to see this or else Akki would stand there looking like a massive fool.
Now, Ebbeth was no cold dragon. Sure, he and his rider would poke fun at one and another and often have a witty banter in their weyr, but he cared for her with all his heart and vice versa. It killed him to see her going through all of this, though he probably would never admit it out loud. However, she seemed to be dealing with it on her own and in his opinion, it seemed that Ersith needed his company more than anyone else right now. To keep her mind busy, not wanting to get tangled with this just yet. Oh yes, yes it is. And one day, maybe if your lucky enough we'll play a game of tag and I'll be ever so nice to let you catch me. Ebbeth said with a dragonic grin. Only if you say please, of course.

At first R'xis was looking at Akki like she had some kind of mental disorder. 'Odd, I didn't think she was prone to long-term memory loss,' he thought to himself; though by then he did know what she was implying. He stood up, dusting his pants and shirt off quickly. He wiped his palm inconspicuously on his pant leg before shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm R'xis," he replied with a chuckle. He would've added: 'Your gorgeous, do you want to go on a date?' but he didn't even feel ready for his own jokes. He didn't know what to say to her now so he simply kept his mouth shut, wondering if Ersith was fairing well behind him. 'She must be talking to Ebbeth.' Yes, I am actually, Ersith told hers. She continued to stay her distance, glad that Akki and R'xis were possibly resolving issues now. She could still see that R'xis' head was a mess but at least he could physically bring himself to confront Akki now. Oh, good, good. He felt like he was neglecting his dragonet presently but Ebbeth was keeping her more then amused presently. I'm sure once I'm as big as you I'll be able to catch you no problem, she challenged, feeling a competitiveness rise-up in her. She also wanted to appear worthy enough to the larger blue. The dragonet crooned, even though she knew that Ebbeth more then likely couldn't hear her from within' Akki and his' weyr.
R'xis finally came up with something to say so he didn't look all that foolish. "Do you have any business to attend to Blue rider?" he asked curiously. If she did then he'd take Ersith for something to eat, or even a swim. If she didn't then he didn't even know what he wanted to ask or say involving her. 'Perhaps its too early to hang out together?' he wondered stupidly, hoping that his speculation didn't prove true.

"Whoo, good." Akki said, fanning her face with her hand. "For a moment there I thought you wouldn't know what I was talking about and was going to run off to Christae to ask to get me isolated." She said with a grin. She did a dramatic flip of her hair with her hand and smiled, "Nice to meet you R'xis.". Ebbeth snorted in her mind, saying something about not understanding his rider and about how he should get her isolated. Akki just made a face in reply.
Ebbeth sniffed dramatically, Clearly you're just too big of yourself. It's a well known fact that gender confused dragons can't even match up to my skills. He flicked his tail in amusement, obviously enjoying the conversation that was taking place. Akki drummed her fingers along the side of her face, studying R'xis. "That depends rider of the pretty little brown. Did you have something in mind?". She had to admit, it was definitely easier to start all over again than she thought it would be.
But already she was already getting in the mood to jostle R'xis and tell horrid jokes that no one would laugh at but herself. Perhaps, in a few days, everything would be back to normal. They would be like they were before, well hopefully not exactly, Akki didn't want R'xis hating her for accidentally nearly drowning Wolf.

'She's actually considering doing something?' he thought, way happier that they he had reintroduced himself now. "Well, blue rider Akki, I was thinking of something along the lines of a walk. Do you maybe want to get something to eat along the way?" He knew that if she refused and left he'd been walking around with Ersith anyways. So, pretty much, she would be saving him from a lack of human contact. Ersith snorted at Ebbeth's words, but her eyes whirred an enlightened green. When the day comes we shall see blue Ebbeth, she told him in a good-humored tone. I look forward to some easy competition, Ersith teased him. She couldn't wait to fly, it was going to be the most amazing feeling she suspected.
R'xis waited for her reply, obviously hoping for a yes. Just because he was starting over new with Akki it didn't mean that any of his feelings were going to just die down with a snap. 'I'll just have to conceal any passion,' he instructed himself. Perhaps if he did this then time would pass far more quickly and when they were able to be with one another it would seem like time hadn't even passed from this very moment. 'I wish. For now lets just focus on having some fun and enjoying one another's company again... Before Weyrling Lessons start again,' he huffed.

She pursed her lips and placed her hands on her hips, waggling them side to side as she thought about it. She dragged on the silence for a few moments, even though she already knew that answer she was going to give. She just wanted to see R'xis get all nervous for a bit. She stopped the waggling of her hips and unpursed her lips with a grin, "Food's the magic word R'xis. I was going to stop by the kitchens to get something to eat after I found Hasima." Soon as that was said, a faint rumbling sound that was just loud enough to be heard was emitted from her stomach, making it known she was getting hungry.
Ebbeth made a slight 'Harrumph' noise. Of course there will be some easy competition. It, of course, won't be me but some other pesky dragons. I'll be the real competition. Ebbeth snickered too himself. I'll try to slow down a bit, just so you don't lose too badly
Akki lifted a finger into the air, making it known that an idea had just come to her. "And of course, if we go for a walk, I'll make Ebbeth come down from where ever he is perched that way we won't bore Ersith to death with out chitter chatter." The blue needed to get out of his isolation for at least a bit today and Akki had the feeling he would enjoy the brown's company even more so if they could see face to face.

R'xis' grin stretched from ear to ear, making it obvious that he was still the same lovesick boy. He felt like a man, which he was quickly becoming, seeing as to the fact that he had accomplished so much in the past and would be in the near future as well. He grabbed her hand for a brief moment as he made his way to the door, as if pulling her in the right direction. Then he instantly let go, having only meant the contact as a: "Lets go," sort of indication. His grin was still visible up on his face when he looked back at her, waiting by the entrance to the door. His own stomach was making growling sounds, beckoning him to put some food into his system. He blushed a bit, embarrassed since he figured she could hear the sounds herself.
We'll see, she snorted in protest. She was becoming quite the competitive little dragonet, though most were. She saw that Her's and Akki were heading out so she followed. She was glad that they would be walking, she felt like giving her wings a good stretch, as well as her fully-energized legs. She was eager to see Ebbeth at Akki's mentioning, crooning aloud. She stood by Her's, looking up into his face. Where to? she asked him, very curious. Food, he sent back to her. He could've very well told her aloud but what was the use in that? It was better to strengthen there bond by talking to one another in thought speech-was it not?

"Come on then." Akki said, standing up and placing her hands flat on R'xis' back as she gently pushed him. "I can hear your stomach talking to me, it's quite a gentleman by the way using all of his 'Please' and 'Thank you's, and it's telling me that you're hungry.". She wrapped her arm around R'xis, the same way she would wrap it around Hasima or anyone else mind you, and pinched his cheek lightly, "You're just like a big, old, fluffy feline. Except, thankfully, without as much fur.".
Oh yes, we will see. In fact, everyone will see. Ebbeth crooned. It's not everyday people get to see a blue beat a high and mighty brown.. Akki rolled her eyes, hearing Ebbeth's snippy comments. "Just nip at him when you see him Ersith if he becomes too conceited." Akki advised with a crooked grin. She hooked arms with R'xis and pulled him along, "Now come on. My stomach is digesting itself and I'm sure Ersith wants non-boring human company."
