Miki looked up, her eyelids half down in a sort of I-don't-care type of glare. The rest of her fce remained void of emotion, her mouth only curved down slightly. Her shoulders were dropped and her arms swung freely at her sides. She spun on her toes to the barracks and followed him.

He paused to look back at her. His dark face was a bit sad. "You really need to work on your people skills." He shrugged and turned back. Kilzanth sent a plea for his rider to come scrub his hide when he was finished with the grouchy girl and the bronzerider sighed.
"If you need any more help, I will be out by the lake. You have a courtyard here and you can usually find chore postings up there." The bronzerider pointed to a board similar to a corkboard where notices could be pinned up. "You might want to check that every day. The Candidate Master should be coming soon to meet you and get you started on your classes. They might wait until there are more Candidates though."

Miki nearly snorted. "I have plenty of friends," she said nonchalantly. She walked to her new room giving nothing more than a thumbs-up to say she heard the bronzerider. She changed the thumbs-up to a wave. "Bye," she called and went to her room.
Once she was inside she collapsed onto her bed. She raised a hand to her head. She had such a head-ache and it was just her first day. She gazed at the bag she had brought with her. She would unpack what she had later.

(( lol Satnee would probably be her best friend. I thought about adopting her but I didn't send it in. I didn't think I'd have any time to RP except with hatchings ... that'd be fun messing those up. ))
