Rukbat was burning down mercilessly by midday in Dark Moon Weyr, and it would take a toll on anyone who wasn't used to it for sure. The lake would surely be quite an attractive place by this time of day, and it was. Two dragons floated down towards the cool waters. One was a huge beast, an oddly light colored bronze with an equally odd slender figure. The contrast was great next to its hazel companion, a thick and solid looking brown. Striding across the bowl would be two equally contrasting figures.
"That was more work than it was worth" the stocky man grumbled, rolling his broad shoulders back as he walked. "Why did we even decide to carry so much stuff in the first place?"
The more slender, freckled man chuckled, giving the brownrider a slap on his back. "Because it's best to be prepared, C'ben. Faranth knows that you'd be crying all the way back to Kharasi if you forgot something. Besides, you're just upset that you couldn't con me into moving all your stuff for yo-.. ! Hey!" The slender bronzerider faltered and had to catch himself as he was nearly lurched forward by the broad man's boot in front of his legs. C'ben's grumpy demeanor vanished as haughty laughter took place.
"Come now, R'zlin. Where are those bronzerider reflexes?" The brownrider chuckled as the slender man, R'zlin, flicked his long hair from on his shoulder onto his back, which was tied into a neat plait. "Brownrider, you're lucky we're in a new Weyr" But of course, the two knew it was only banter.
At the lake, the two dragons had already reached the water, sending their pleasantries to whichever dragons may be in the lake at the time.(if any)
To summarize these two men, they both seemed in their mid to late twenties. The brownrider is a built, slightly shorter man with brown curls and gray eyes, and the bronzerider was a lanky red-headed thing with long hair and green eyes. Their names are C'ben and R'zlin respectively. They have both transferred from Kharasi Weyr, which deployed a few riders to more or less 'learn the ways of other Weyrs'. It is becoming more of a common practice, and with thread imminent, it is best to have as much training and understanding of techniques as possible.
((OOC: This is just in case you all wish to have your riders know something about why there are transfers and whatnot. Also, be gentle. I'm terribly rusty. I'll leave it at this; they are walking toward the lake, possibly.. I don't know, 100 feet away from the shore? ))
