V'koran was disappointed at being interrupted in the middle of his conversation with Jessa, but it was the first step towards being a dragonrider so he didn't begrudge Rhia much for doing her duty, as he was excited for that particular venture.
When Jessa asked if he could wake Verith, he nodded, but before he had a chance to try, Verith grumbled, I'm awake, I'm awake. The brown nuzzled Aylith back and made sure she was balanced on her own before standing up.
V'koran followed Jessa, who surprisingly hadn't let go of his hand, to the two lines, where they parted. He and Verith went to where the others stood, and found a place somewhere behind the two bronzes. He looked around uncertainly, as he didn't really know anyone but Jessa.
V'koran, I itch, Verith complained. He shifted uncomfortably and scratched a bit at his shoulder.
"Stop that, you'll hurt yourself with those sharp claws," V'koran said, alarmed. He reached down to still the dragonet's claws. "We'll get you un-itchy soon, don't worry."
----
L'von glanced up from his hand to study C'adyn for just a moment before looking quickly down at Zalith and hoping he hadn't been caught. Then he looked back up as Rhia gave her instructions. C'adyn said he would see him at the feast, then startled him by hugging him again. C'adyn got up to leave, and L'von stared at his retreating form for a moment before getting up and gently waking Zalith.
It's time to wake up, Zalith, we have to go line up, he said affectionately, stroking her soft hide. She opened her eyes and blinked sleepily, but stood and walked with L'von to the end of the line of boys. She remained strangely silent and the new greenrider wondered for a moment, but then chalked it up to her sleepiness.

She heard Rhia, nodded and pardoned herself from the conversation with a, "Duty calls." and a wink before she slid away, grabbing the meat that was requested and walking briskly towards Rhia. "Here you are Rhia." She said, rather softly so she wouldn't startle the dragonet or the girl who it belonged too. She gave the meat to the brown rider and said, "If you need anything else just call me.". She went back to where she was before she was beckoned, she didn't want to stay on the sands and get in the way. She knew know that that was the girl who had stole Rimith's egg, that was why Christae was against her Impressing. She couldn't blame the WW to think that way. That girl had put Christae, Kaith, everyone in pain and panic. Suddenly there was a sharp wave of emotions, all of it fear. Sargon had just winked back when Akki told him there was no need to hunt for numbweed as Rhia had some when Kaith scared him off. And lucky for her, his emotions had came crashing down on her. "Shut up Sargon." She said, lightly pressing her hand against her head.
Hasima listened to K'lor and looked down at Rimith who was looking back up at her, her eyes whirling with content. She never noticed before, that the dragons were like the people they Impressed. Or was it the other way around? She didn't picture herself as quiet and respectful, she always looked down on herself, she always considered herself an outsider and such. "I'm glad you Impressed." Hasima said quietly, not knowing how to put her feelings into words about how glad she was he Impressed. She considered K'lor a friend, even though she didn't know him too well, she still considered him one. She watched as some people began to line up and said, "Should we line up then?". She knew she would be last, Rimith was the smallest dragonet here.

K’nest wore an unsure smile. He doubted he could ever slap her no matter how much she could manage to mangle his name. He was pretty sure Akki was joking so he nodded anyway. He watched her leave to grab food for the poor hurt dragonet. He wanted to help them as well but knew it wouldn’t be a good idea. On top of that he didn’t know how to heal dragons. Just how to not get mauled by one. He figured that Rhia would teach them the finer points of dragon care now that they had dragons. After a few uncertain seconds he waved a good bye to Akki before standing in front of the man with a green. He didn’t really remember too much but knew that they were being ordered by color now.
~~~~~~~
Lirlith flinched when she felt the redwort being applied but other than that stayed still. She allowed the woman to put on the numbweed and only perked up when she saw food arrive. Her eyes tracked the food but didn’t move towards it. She was strangely quiet but that was perhaps from the shock of being attacked by your bonded.
Sorcha watched the woman work but didn’t do anything for fear of getting in the way or harming the moonstreak even more. She sat on her knees and just stared at the scratches on the back of Lirlith as Rhia applied numbweed. She could see Lirlith’s eyes slowly stop whirling so fast.
Her dead blue eyes slowly tracked up to Rhia’s face as the woman talked. It seemed within the space of the few hours that the hatching had taken everyone knew. Then again it was a small Weyr, news traveled fast. Sorcha didn’t mind overly much. She knew she’d be hated from the moment she’d come into the Weyr with a plot in mind. And it wasn’t like Rhia was some silly green, she was a brownrider so probably knew a lot of important things.
A mocking smile crossed her lips, surprising even Sorcha, “Inadequate? My reason is far from inadequate. Unless you consider … well /you/ might.” Her voice turning harsh and scathing, though still low. Her stomach did an interesting flip that make her feel sick. She couldn’t stand to think back on what might be happening back at the Hold this very moment. Her eyes lowered and a deep sigh escaped her lips, “I’ve no wish to keep bad feelings festering between Christae and I. That would only harm Lirlith. I didn’t mean to harm her at all…” She shook her head jerkily.
Sorcha’s eyes turned distant and worried, “No he’s fine … well not fine. He has a tear in his wing right now. You know, I brought him here as a baby, he shouldn’t have been exposed to that. I don’t blame Kaith, nor Christae, but myself. I shouldn’t … well.” She shifted, slightly uncomfortable. It was one of the hardest things for her to do, admitting she was wrong. She was worse than a male in that aspect.
“Her wing? Why would I be in her wing?” Then it hit her. She was not a queen but mutants were placed in the queen’s wing as well. They’d said that Nike was in the wing as well ‘cause of her white dragon. Which meant she would be working with the yellow dragon. The one she’d stolen. She barely wanted to work with Lirlith, let alone the yellow and Kaith. Seems she had made many enemies and bad situations in her short time here. It’d be an interesting year to say the least. She just hoped the woman of the yellow wouldn’t begrudge her for the theft.
Sorcha wanted to say she didn’t care what they thought of her but she had to now. It wasn’t so simple anymore; she was now bonded to a dragon. One that would die if she did. A tremor ran through her body before she stilled, taking in this bit of information. Lirlith had trapped her to live, Sorcha wasn’t sure she would have been brave enough to make the final stroke. She’d never know now.
Hali looked at Hasima. "Thank you." She said when Hasima said she was glad that Hali impressed. "I think Lining up would be a good idea. We can still talk, we both have the smallest dragons so we will still be next to each other." She explained. She walked to the end of the boy's line and Orylith stood beside her. She turned to face the female line, where Hasima would be. Once she was in line Hali spoke up again. "I am amazed that there are so many mutants. And the colors of them are amazing. They aren't one plain color, but decorated by different shades and colors." She spoke her thoughts.
********************************
J'kel waved as Akki walked away. He looked to at Jorath, who looked back at J'kel. They stared into each others eyes for a moment, as if examining each other. It may even look like J'kel finally got down the whole telepathy thing, but he didn't. They were both bored, and just looking at each other, waiting for something to happen. Mine, everyone is lining up. Jorath finally said. "What?" J'kel looked around and noticed the new Weyrlings in two lines. He rubbed the back of his head, a bit embarrassed that a newborn noticed this first. The two took their spots in line.
********************************
Miya glared at Sorcha.Her glare gained even more hate as she talked scathingly to Rhia. After what the brown-rider was doing, she deserved praise from Sorcha, not complaints. Miya noticed that Sorcha's attitude changed quickly. She obviously had a lot on her mind. Miya continued to glare, but her eyes weren't as full of hate.
Rhia frowned. "Young lady, I never said your excuse was inadquate. I simply said that even if you thought it was inadequate you still owe the WW and everyone else in this Weyr an explanation." The brownrider turned and accepted the food from Akki. "Thank you Akki." She said softly. The bluerider had more tact than she gave herself credit for.
"Lirlith is your life now. What happened in the past is the past. You will accept your punishment and work hard to redeem yourself if you want to have any respect and happiness in this weyr. Not all of us came from good backgrounds Sorcha. My family was ravaged by plague. G'han's family was killed by raiders. G'han was my former weyrmate. He was transferred to another weyr. Whatever possesed you to steal that egg, remember that we all have shadows in our past. If something was wrong with a holder that you were beholden to or something like that and you wanted revenge, then tell Christae what it was. You never know, the Weyr might help. We are the protectors of Pern and that doesn't stop at Thread. We are also the diplomats of Pern."
"Now, feed Lirlith, slowly. She must be ravenous by now. Give her a small piece of meat and be strong. She will want to gobble it down swiftly but you MUST NOT let her. She will colic and you will have a dragon complaining for the Feast and all night. Once she is fed you and I will join the other W'lings. I expect you to think about what you will say to Christae and the others. If I am correct, they will call you up before the High Table and you will have to explain your actions and accept your punishment there. Do not lose your temper or be haughty. You lost your right to do those things when you stole a dragon egg and then sent a flitt to attack a newly hatched dragonet. Remember, Impression is a two way street. The dragons protect us from Thread and in return we guide them, care for them, and above all, love them. You are Lirlith's as Lirlith is yours. These dragons are almost as intelligent as humans. Indeed the only thing that keeps them from being smarter than us is their short memory span."
The brownrider laid a hand on Sorcha's shoulder. "Were I younger, newly Impressed, I would hate you right now." She said frankly. "But over the course of my training for Threadfall and to be Weyrlingmaster, I have learned that enmity gets you nowhere and you have to look at both sides of things. Sorcha, what you did was wrong, but you can still redeem yourself and become a valuable member of this community. Indeed you are already a valuable member because of Lirlith. Now, think of your explanation and apology while you feed and oil your beautiful new bonded. I will stay with you until she is fed."
The brownrider was glad that Sorcha had Impressed on the Queen's dais because the sands were as hot as ever. She looked up and then called out to the Weyrlings. "We will be heading to the Barracks as soon as this little one is fed. You can relax and don't worry about lining up here. You will do that when we are ready to leave for the Feast. Just remember when you get to the Barracks that your belongings have been placed in order of biggest to smallest with your cots."
Hasima took her spot in line, taking the last spot and was glad that K'lor also had a small dragon so they could continue to talk. Hasima nodded and then said, "The same goes with the normal colors, not just the mutants. Each dragonet seems to have at least three different colors on him or her.". Are you excited for the feast? Rimith inquired, making conversation with Orylith.
Akki walked up to Hasima and asked to borrow the girl for one second. "Hasima, you'll be in the Queen's wing you know." She said to her friend who just looked at her, confused at the importance of that statement. "Mutants are in her wing. Rimith is a mutant, as is the copper. And so is the other mutant, the one who Impressed the girl who stole Rimith's egg." Akki said, continuing her explanation. "Oh." Hasima said softly, not realizing that before. "Can you handle that Hasima?" She asked softly, looking down at the yellow who was gazing back up at her.
Hasima wanted to hate the girl, because that would mean Rimith would have died if she didn't get here in time, that Hasima would have never met the lovely dragon. Her lovely dragon, to be correct. But, she couldn't. Maybe it was because deep down she knew that many people would dislike the girl for a bit, and she didn't want to add on that. Maybe it was because Rimith didn't die, that she did meet her. But then again, Hasima never hated anyone in her life. She didn't know how to hate really, and maybe she never would. But she didn't want to start hating someone especially since the main thing was Rimith was here, a bit sleepy, but here. "I'll be fine." She said back to Akki, offering the girl a small smile.
As Rhia was finishing up with the numbweed Sorcha looked around. There seemed to be a lot of people interested in what was happening, then again it wasn’t often one was so stupid as to not notice they were Impressing and attack their own bonded. Her face almost slipped into a countenance of anger once her eyes passed over Miya but she managed to keep herself in control. She hadn’t liked the girl and Miya’s glare did nothing to improve the situation. Her eyes lingered a moment too long before she turned her gaze. She smiled to herself, remembering who Dicer had chosen. Then again, he wasn’t here. Just another name of another person lost.
Sorcha let out a sigh and shrugged, “I suppose.” She really didn’t feel like airing out the affairs of her Hold life. She surely didn’t want to seem like she was asking for help. Sorcha couldn’t define it but she didn’t want others to know of her troubles. Would they really care anyway? Just look at what she had done to them. They’d be more likely to laugh at her and her troubles. Or worse, think that she deserved them, even though it was not she who suffered. Unless you counted being unable to do anything, suffering, which she did.
Maybe she’d be able to make up an excuse between now and then that seemed plausible enough. Maybe she’d say she lived in poverty and was trying to sell it? No, that wouldn’t work. She’d have to come up with something though. Maybe a variation of the truth? It was always better when you stayed as close to the truth when you lied. She could just keep it simple, her home life wasn’t the best so she stole the egg. Maybe flatter the woman by saying she thought the dragon rider’s life the best. Then again Christae didn’t seem that simple minded. She pushed the thoughts from her mind; she’d worry about it once she got there. Right now Lirlith was insisting that Rhia’s idea of food was a marvelous one.
She slowly fed the hungry hatchling, flinching slightly as the little one’s head snaked quickly to snatch up the meat. She had waited longer than any other for her food and was ravenous now. She had taken in Rhia’s words but it was hard to keep the dragonet from burying her head in the bowl and gobbling it up. After a few long minutes of mental fighting and a few bruised fingers she had emptied the bowl.
Sorcha sighed as finally the ghostly pains in her stomach disappeared. The dragonet seemed contented to just lay there and let the going ons proceed. She lazily blinked and rested her chin on the surface below her.
Sorcha tensed as she felt a hand on her shoulder. She wrinkled her nose at the comment, “How is it you know just what to say to make me feel better?” she said in a slightly sarcastic tone. It held none of its former bite though. She took the warning, the other weyrlings wouldn’t be happy with her. She already knew this but it wouldn’t be bad to keep it in the forefront of her mind when dealing with them.
She looked down at Lirlith, briefly wondering how big she would be. If her initial size was any indicator, not very big. She shrugged, she’d just pick a bed that wasn’t taken she supposed. She felt butterflies racing through her stomach at the thought of touching Lirlith. She didn’t want to oil the beautiful creature.
~But I itch. And we both know that you won’t hurt me. It was only a mistake.~ Sorcha tried to shrink away from the understanding voice but was impossible as it was within her mind. She wanted to reply, to make Lirlith understand but in the end she really did like Lirlith. She didn’t want to give up the stary creature. She took a deep breath, it wouldn’t be easy but she’d fine a way to get past the obstacles. For Lilith.
Rhia smiled wryly. "One of the reasons why Christae chose me to be the next Weyrlingmaster was my ability to put myself on the same level as my students. She values my intuition and I have always been good at teaching others. I have also been good at saying the right thing at the right time and people trust me."
"Sorcha, know this, I will help you in any way I can, but you need to help yourself as well." the WLM tilted the girl's face towards hers so that the girl would meet her grey eyes. "Don't lie Sorcha, it won't help." The woman saw Sorcha shy away from the dragon.
"Sorcha, don't push her away. You have been given a wonderful gift. Nothing is greater than the bond of dragon to rider. She loves you with heart, mind, and soul Sorcha. Don't throw that away. Now come, the other Weyrlings have waited long enough and we will all be late to the feast."
Rhia turned to the Weyrlings. "Allright I want all of the new Weyrlings to follow me to your new homes for the next Turn or so." The brownrider led the way to the Barracks.
"There are barrels of oil here. We have all of your belongings already in the chests near your cots. Thank the drudges for that. Find your cot and then return to me so we can begin oiling your dragons."
Orylith stayed quiet for a bit, then quietly replied. I don't really now what the feast is. She said, a bit embarrassed. But I will find out soon. I am excited, either way. Hali watched as Akki came up and explained that Hasima would be in the Queen's wing. She wasn't sure if she was supposed to know this, but Hali couldn't help overhearing. "Don't worry, Hasima, you will be fine." She encouraged, noticing that Hasima wasn't so sure at first.
Hali looked toward the Weyrlingmaster as they were all lead inside. Orylith and she walked to the end of the barracks and to their beds. Hali looked around, while Orylith curiously buried her head in the chest by the bed. Hali looked in the small greens direction and laughed.
Orylith's head immediately popped out. Come on, mine. We have to go back. She said, clamping her mouth around the edge of Hali's candidate robe and lightly tugged, careful not to rip the cloth. Hali smiled and followed Orylith back to the Weyrlingmaster.
*****************************
Miya noticed Sorcha glance at her. She kept her glare solid, as if she didn't notice that Sorcha was looking at her. As Sorcha looked away, Miya noticed a smile creep onto her face. Miya didn't know why Sorcha did this, but didn't really like it. She had a feeling that it wasn't about impressing. Nevertheless, Miya didn't allow her thoughts to show on her face.
***************************
"Finally!" J'kel laughed lightly as the Weyrling Master told them to follow her into the barracks. He walked into the barracks and both he and Jorath looked around. "Look, you get your own bed!" J'kel said to Jorath. He had never seen a bed for a dragon before. Good. I don't wanna sleep on the ground. Jorath said, his voice was distant, because he wasn't really paying attention. Mine, my hide itches. Jorath added. "Right." J'kel replied. He walked over to the chest and opened it. He found all his clothes, so with a smile he stood up and left the barrack. Jorath followed on his heels as they both walked back to the Weyrlingmaster.
Hasima followed the rest of the line into the Weyrling barracks and Akki watched her leave with a wink and a grin to all of the weyrlings before returning to Ebbeth, talking to him about everything that happened. She had not yet seen R'xis, or Wolf for that matter and she was anxious to see the siblings.
Hasima went to her bed and looked through her chest, peeking in to see all her clothes carefully folded and laid on top of each other. Rimith sniffed the air and looked over the dragon couch before deeming it comfortable enough to sleep on. Hasima had to admit, she didn't know very many girl candidates other than Wolf. Maybe these barracks would be a good place to meet new people and their dragons. Hasima, I am beginning to itch. Would you be able to oil me when you get the chance? The small yellow asked from the couch, not wanting to be a burden on Hasima. Hasima nodded slowly, and closed her chest, satisfied that all her items were there safely tucked away. Rimith scrabbled off of the couch and hurried to Hasima as the girl headed back to Rhia.
OOC| Exams... *Twitches.* o0;
Wolf couldn't believe this, trying to ignore how faint she felt at this present moment. Everything was happening too quickly for her liking, though all of it was good which was... good. "Okay," she said in between Rhia's explanation of how to properly feed Serinth. Her eyes were alight with joy the whole time, she reckoned it was hard to hide. She hugged R'xis again before turning to all her friends that had gathered around here. "Jakel! Oh, wait" she paused, "J'kel now right?" As the boy confirmed her curiosities she nodded her head a single time to him. Unable to help herself she hugged him, glad that he was here and that he had impressed. "I'm so happy for you," she said to him in a lower voice before pulling away. His talk of her having found R'xis and her also having impressed a Gold made her beam. "Yes, everything has gone as I hoped!" she said, more loudly then she had intended. She stared at him, smile not wiped off her face. She seemed to be searching his expression for something more before she turned to the blue at his side. "Jorath, hm? That's a nice name, your quite a stunning hatchling aren't you?" she complimented him.
All the while Serinth was staring at her chosen, wondering when she'd be introduced. Wolf looked back at the Gold, eyes widening once she realized she hadn't even fed her. "I'm so sorry, how irresponsible of me," she told the Gold aloud. She began to feed her, holding her conversations until after she was done. "Slow down, I swear! What are you trying to do to me, kill me from worry?" Is that even possible? The Gold questioned her rider with mock intelligence. "Hey, no back talk. Chew your food and do it carefully," Wolf replied humorously before realizing she was talking aloud like J'kel had been. The Gold didn't bother replying as it wolfed down the food, slowing down every now and then when Wolf became assertive. Once the Gold had eaten it's fill Wolf looked relieved. "Hasima!" she called out next, running to the girl in line, hoping not to startle her immensely as she hugged her. "I'm so happy you impressed! You and I were right, we both impressed. I can't express enough of my joy that you'll be with me in the Queen's area of the Weyr." Wolf realized they were heading in now and she could see Akki waving to Hasima. "No, Akki!" She ran to the girl, hugging her too. "I'm so glad you were here for the hatching, it was fantastic wasn't it?" The same light in the girl's eyes had returned. "I can't wait for our dragon's to be better acquainted." Little did she know she had forgot to announce the Gold's name to anyone. Serinth raced after Wolf, shocked by how much energy she seemed to have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'xis chuckled at Wolf's second hug, or was it her third? Either way he was happy have his little sister back, finally. "Congratulations Hasima, J'kel," he nodded to both of the new Weyrlings. He pointed to the Brown dragonet that stood at his side. "This is Ersith and my name has changed to R'xis." He liked the ring to his hyphenated name, it made him feel oddly important. "Both of your hatchlings are impressive," he said, once again to both Hasima and J'kel. Hello there, it's nice to meet you Ersith sent to Jorath and there after Rimith. As the female Brown's rider signaled her to follow she obeyed, having wished for more time to speak to her clutch-mates. As the Weyrlings hurried to form two lines to head for the Weyrling Barracks he looked around frantically. He soon spotted the one he was looking for, Akki. His heart practically stopped up on seeing her.
What did she think? Did she completely erase that day at the lake from her mind? He knew he hadn't. His emotions were racing right about now... You all right Mine? Nothing to worry about Ersith, R'xis sent back to her. He flashed her a comforting smile before slowly making his way to Akki. He felt like his feet were heavy as he contemplated what he should say and how he should say it the entire way over. It didn't take him too long to reach her. By the time he had made it over to her Wolf was with the girl so he stood beside Akki waiting for his turn to talk to her. Ersith stood beside him, as before, staring at the girl curiously. You tell me nothing, who is this girl? R'xis felt guilty for not informing his dragon as he made his way from person to person. He was just too thrilled to think things through properly, just like Wolf. I apologize Ersith, this is Akki. R'xis spoke softly to his dragon through telepathic speech. Name's are good, yes, but who 'is' she. A friend? A girlfriend? A family member? R'xis knew he was blushing when Ersith mentioned the possibility of him being in a relationship with Akki. A friend... I think... Something more I hope. He wished nothing more then to be honest with his dragon so she in turn would be honest with him when she had something to say. I can tell you have strong feelings for her. You try to hide it but the way you act clearly gives you away. R'xis tried to regain composure. Does it now? he teased. Is she a rider? Ersith asked, her eyes whirring curiously as she looked up on R'xis. Surely if her chosen felt so much for this girl she'd like to get to know her dragon if she had one. Why do you want to know? Yes, she does have one though. Blue Ebbeth. R'xis pointed to where the Blue now was and he couldn't help but notice the smile up on her face. He turned back to Akki. The Brown was in awe of seeing a more experienced dragon then she. Hello there she sent to him simply, feeling some sort-of possible admiration growing inside of her.
"Oof." Exhaled Akki, as someones arms wrapped her in a giant hug. She looked and grinned and said, "Wolf, I can't breath. And talking isn't easy to do when you can't breath.". She winked at Ebbeth and said to the girl, "We all know I would never ever miss a hatching in my life. Especially one this exciting! But besides that you silly girl. R'xis told you! I knew that day at the lake, he's quite the nervous fellow when it came to telling you the truth. He kept going on about how he though he let you down and stuff. Shards, that boy is just like Hasima. Always taking the blame.". She looked down at the gold and poked her friend in the ribs and demanded a proper introduction to the lovely gold.
Akki didn't wait for the introduction though, because R'xis sidled up beside them and she flung her arms around his neck and said, "R'xis! You could not have a better timing to tell Wolf! Oh and the hatching, it was brilliant. Pure brilliance, Kaith outdid herself, didn't she!.". The last thing she said was not a question, but a statement. She let go of the boy and dropped to her knees and said, "Well now. I can't wait for R'xis to stammer out your name, but you're quite the lovely thing. Nice to meet you, I am Akki of Blue Ebbeth.". She stood back up and hugged R'xis again. She was glad to see him, which seemed a little sad because she saw him not long ago.
But for her it seemed like forever. So much had happened since that. Her candidate friends were no longer candidates, each had their own equal and each seemed to grow with every passing moment. "Would it be sad, in a pathetic way of course not a weepy depressed way, that I say it seems like forever since I last saw you? So much has happened, it feels like turns! And now look, you're behind everyone. They all left you to go to the barracks, I can't make you late you know. Rhia could take me.". She said the last part with a wink to him.
Ebbeth turned his head and lowered it, staring the brown in the eye. His eyes seemed to churn faster and faster with curiousity and other emotions. Hello little one. He replied back, with a dragonic grin. Don't worry, I'm not poking fun at your size. Actually I am. But one day you will be bigger than I. Then you can make fun of my size. He lifted his large head back and stared at the brown and then stated, silently ashamed at the fact he didn't notice this before. You're a female aren't you? Curious, curious. Browns are supposed to be males you know. Are you perhaps gender confused? He joked.
Hasima opened her mouth to reply to the newly reunited siblings, Wolf and R'xis but before a sound could come out, the line of weyrlings began to move. She thought she would reply when they joined the line, but they stayed behind to talk to Akki. She would be able to reply later on, probably at the feast. As soon as she oiled down Rimith of course.
Ooc|| I didn't get to reply to Wolf's narration to Hasima, so I stuck it here so I wouldn't leave her hanging x) Let's use our imaginations and pretend that happened before Hasima went off to the barracks?
Wolf let go of Akki immediately, forgetting that most things Akki said happened to be teasing. Her worry for whether or not the girl actually could breathe from her hug disappeared at her mentioning of R'xis. "I know, I can't believe it!" Then the next thing announced surprised Wolf, Akki had known? Laughing at the Blue rider's description of R'xis, Wolf simply nodded at everything stated. "Sounds like R'xis alright!" Wolf proudly looked over to the Gold hatchling, reaching down to pat her neck. "This is Serinth," she introduced the Gold, watching as Serinth warily inspected Akki. The Gold could only smile once she realized that Akki and her own rider were visibly good friends. Serinth crooned, delighted to meet her. I like her, Serinth pointed out to her rider, confident about her decision. I'm pretty sure everyone likes Akki Wolf teased. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While R'xis stood there continuing to contemplate on what he would say to Akki all of a sudden, while he was still lost in thought, someone made a fast movement toward him. Before he had time to react Akki was already hugging him, his whole face becoming less pale. He looked over at Wolf for an instant, as if expecting her to react in some way. Akki's words brought his lips to form a smile. "It does feel like it's been awhile, doesn't it? Of course it always feels too long for me when I'm away from-" he realized what he was going to say but could see Wolf looking at him so he quickly compensated his words, "everyone." He chuckled nervously, wrapping his own arms around her once Akki hugged him a second time. "I'm so happy to see you," he told her more quietly. As she knelt down to Ersith's eye-level he felt remorseful that he was actually thinking of telling Akki Ersith was a he. He couldn't lie to her... could he?
"I-I," he stuttered. The Brown could obviously tell that he was having trouble with telling the truth about her again! Don't even think about it, Ersith told R'xis, sounding frustrated. At the same time she understood why he was nervous about telling people her gender and she sympathized with him to a certain extent. The Brown then took advantage of R'xis' pondering time to reply to Ebbeth. That's alright, I don't mind. I know I'm small, she replied to him modestly. I'm glad that you've noticed I'm not a male, Ersith added, looking in Ebbeth's exact direction as she smiled. His joke sent her eyes alight, being one for humor. Now I just hope Mine has the sense to make that fact public... The sadness was evident in her voice as she mentioned this, though she managed to keep her expression unmarred. R'xis had finally made a decision as he looked right at Akki. Any relationship couldn't start off with lies so if they were already in something... or perhaps were going to be-yes, he hoped for either-then he'd have to be completely honest with her. "Her name is Ersith," he announced, standing tall so it didn't seem like he was any less proud the Brown was not a he. Ersith grinned widely, hugging R'xis' leg. "Okay, okay," he laughed, knowing that everyone else wouldn't understand Ersith's actions. You've done the right thing by me... Thank-you. It wasn't hard, he sent to Ersith reassuringly. He held back all possible evidence in his stance or on his visage that would say he was hungrily awaiting Akki's reaction.
"I have this talent of describing people. And getting in trouble. And being curious?" Akki offered to Wolf as a smile tugged at her lips. She of course was getting dizzy, as she kept spinning back and forth between the siblings, trying to keep track of the conversations that were taking place. She knelt down and said with blinding honesty, "It's an honour to meet you Serinth. You could not have a better rider, nor she could have a better dragon. You two will be great, I'm sure.". With that said, she straightened herself, cast a wink at the girl as she brushed off the dirt which clung to her before turning back to R'xis. Akki said it all, you two will be great Ebbeth rumbled to the small gold.
"As am I. But you know that already, don't you?" She said with a grin and small, quiet laugh as she looked up at him, on her knees again so she could be nearly eye to eye with the dragon when they were introduced. "Don't stammer R'xis, you can't have forgotten his name already!" Akki said, pretending to be shocked as she watched him try to choke out the words. Ah, but you won't be small for long! Soon, you will be bigger than I, but until then I get the privelege on commenting on you size. I should have noticed sooner, your features are definitly more feminine than masculine. If you don't mind me saying of course, which I hope you don't. Ebbeth said with a mental chuckle as he watched the conversation in front of him unfold. And then he added a suggestion to her, Just snip at his ankle and demand he tell the truth?
"Ersith is a very lovely name!" She said to the brown, oblivious to the face R'xis just corrected the browns gender. "You're a lucky brown, having R'xis as a rider you know." She said with a wink cast at the boy as she stood up, listening to her knees crack slightly as she shifted her weight. She was grinning, quite happy he Impressed, even though she did still think that he had Impressed a male. Point is that he had Impressed, and that's all that mattered to her.
Then, it clicked. It took her a moment for it to click, but at least it did. "Her?" Akki said, with a shocked, and curious expression. "Her?!" She said again, this time that face melting away into a huge grin as she once more hugged R'xis in joy. She looked down at the brown, the female brown and apologized, ashamed. "I'm so sorry I called you a he, if you hate me forever I can understand. I probably wouldn't want to be called a he when I'm a she.".
"As much as I want to continue talking, I don't want Rhia going after me. She'd skin me alive, you two had better go to the barracks and oil your lovely dragons. I'm sure we can chat up a storm at the feast." She said with a grin as she winked at the two.
