Christae slid Weyrling knots off the bronzerider's shoulder. "You are now a bronzerider of Pern. Wear these knots proudly. Honor your Weyr in everything you do and take your place among the ranks of Dark Moon's riders." She slid the bronzerider knots on T'rin's shoulder. "Congratulations rider T'rin of bronze Amparath."

T'rin grinned and bowed gallantly to Christae. "Thank you, weyrwoman," he said, and stepped back into line with the other, newly graduated dragonriders.
Yes, thank you, Amparath said, realizing it was his graduation, too. Then, to T'rin, What happens now?
Well, I think we get assigned to a wing, keep up our training, and wait for Thread, T'rin answered, unsure.
And participate in flights, he added, with a bit of a grumble in his voice.
Oh, be quiet about that. That was months ago. T'rin shook his head. The big bronze would never let him forget that in leaving the weyr, they had missed Kaith's flight. You probably wouldn't win, anyway, Sh'iron and Myranenth are Christae and Kaith's preferred mates.
Amparath nearly roared in protest. I am almost as big as Myranenth and just as strong!
Alright, alright, keep your wings on, I won't debate you, T'rin sighed. He waited for Christae's final words.

Miya looked at T'rin and Amparath. Why don't you just forgive him. Reinath questioned. Not yet. I am confused, okay. I had finally told him I liked him. I had invited him and kissed him. I gave him my first kiss. I am not used to showing emotion like that. Then we get caught and spied on. Which only embarrasses me more, but I didn't take back what I said to him. Then he just disappears. He doesn't even tell me if he is ever coming back. I gave up on him. I even fell for another. Then that wherryhead shows his feeling for another, then has the nerve to kiss me. I was confused. I doubt he meant it, I mean, I got him kicked out. I do still feel for T'rin, I do, but he hurt me. One simple apology isn't enough. He never even sent a flitt to explain everything. He will have to prove himself. Miya explained, her eyes never leaving the bronze-rider the entire time.

Christae smiled. "You are most welcome Rider T'rin." There was pride in her stance and voice as she turned to the newly graduated riders and then to the riders who had come to watch the graduation, remembering their own graduations with amused pride.
"Weyrfolk of Dark Moon Weyr, I present to you the newest full riders of the Weyr. " She turned to the former W'lings. "Riders, I present to you your peers and fellow riders. Serve Dark Moon Weyr faithfully and proudly."
Her voice lowered. "Your wing assignments will not be handed out today. Until the Weyrleader returns you will fly in one wing during practice. Then you will be assigned to your permanent wings to train. Miya, you will begin flying with me at long last. For your first duty as official Junior Weyrwoman, I wish you to bring out the agenothree tanks. Since we used some to show you how, I want you to make sure they are all filled and ready to go. Then you are all dismissed. Enjoy the rest of your day of leisure for tomorrow we begin training in earnest." Christae didn't realize that the hatching would happen the next day, ruining her plans to practice.

((Ok.))
Miya nodded. She turned around and left to go check on the tanks. She examined them thouroughly for how much was filled and to make sure that none of them were damaged in anyway. Satisfied, she walked back towards her beloved Reinath as well as the others. "All of the tanks are full and in good condition." She reported, before walking over to Reinath to scratch her eyeridges. A feeling of pleasure filled her body as emotions were shared. She turned back to Christae. "Is that all Weyrwoman?" She asked to make sure.

Christae smiled. "Very good Miya." She laid a hand on the other goldrider's shoulder. "You will make a good Jr. WW. That is all." She turned to the other riders. "Once again, Congratulations to you all. You are dismissed." The WW strode off, her long legs making short work of the W'ling courtyard as she headed towards the Hatching Cavern to check on her brooding Queen.

She has been watching you, Amparath confided in his rider, as he had been watching the young Jr. WW. I could not tell what she was thinking.
T'rin willed himself not to wring his hands. Thank you, he said, his thought not quite complete, but his dragon knew what he meant.
I think I will go swim for a while... Amparath said mysteriously, and winged off, and had T'rin been paying attention, he would have noticed that the bronze was quite obviously NOT flying towards the lake.
T'rin sighed, then unconsciously straightened his shoulders, even though he didn't feel any more confident with the gesture. Would Miya never forgive him? He had been so busy at the hold and had had to leave so abruptly. He had thought about her every day, though, and regretted not saying goodbye. He still regretted it, because now she would hardly look him in the eye.
Micra, his little green firelizard, popped in over his head and circled around him, sensing his worry and crooning. She landed on his shoulder and rubbed her little wedge head on his cheek. He stroked her neck with a finger and she warbled questioningly, sending him a picture of Amparath. He sent one back, and she launched from his shoulder and popped between, probably to find the bronze.
The bronzerider sighed again. He could have used Micra to send a message. He could have used someone else's lizard, or had Amparath bespeak Reinath. He could have done so many things, but hadn't. He was a true idiot in that respect, he decided, and looked up to where Miya was standing. He didn't deserve forgiveness. But he would try. He slowly walked over to Miya, trying to decide what to say. He went with the most obvious.
"Congratulations, Jr. WW," he said, giving her a small bow and trying a smile.

The large gold opened her jaws to yawn. Mine, I am going to take a nap. I shall be on my brand new ledge. Reinath said to Miya. There was enjoyment in Reinath's voice as she was obviously excited about her new sleeping place. Miya sighed as the gold opened her wings and took off, toward her ledge.
Miya turned around as she heard a voice. Before her stood T'rin, whom she and Reinath had been talking about only moments before. She waited for him to speak, but when he did, she was truly off guard. "Wha..I mean...um...thanks." She really hadn't expected him to say that. She had expected him to come up and ask for her apology. She was so sure he would that she was shocked when he had. She gave him a look of confusion, but immediately replaced it with her normal emotionless face.

T'rin's smile became genuine when Miya stumbled over her words. He knew that she would probably frown at him if she realized he was smiling at her awkwardness, so he tried not to make the smile bigger; instead, his eyes crinkled a bit and he looked down at the ground for a moment to compose himself.
She was definitely thinking about me, he confirmed to his dragon, managing not to chuckle.
"You're welcome, of course," he said courteously, nodding his head to her. "So, would you allow me as your companion on your first walk around the grounds as Jr. WW?"

Miya gave him a look of suspision, narrowing one eye. "I suppose. We are done for the day, and I didn't do all that much today." She explained, her face returning to the same appearance of superiority. She pushed a lock of hair behind her ear and took a few steps forward. "Come on." She said blankly, without even looking at T'rin.

T'rin sighed inwardly. If that was what he was going to have to deal with, so be it.
There are other girls, you know. Girls that don't treat you like the dirt on their boot. Amparath sounded frustrated that his rider would put up with such treatment.
But I don't want other girls, I want Miya, T'rin answered almost fiercely as he stepped after the goldrider. He had seen the softer side of her. He knew it existed. And he didn't mind this side of her either. But what could he do? She was only going to forgive him of her own free will.
He sighed inwardly again, glancing over sideways at Miya. Her face was haughty, and his mouth turned up at the corners. He was probably the only person who found that face endearing.
"So how fares Reinath?" he asked, for conversation and politeness, but also because he was genuinely interested.

Miya looked to the side to see T'rin. She was silent for a moment, simply looking at him and walking straight. "We are well. Reinath and I are both excited about this event, though it is shocking how few of us were actually here for the graduation. I am sure there were more of us at the hatching." She paused. "What about Amparath and yourself? Are you both well?" Miya asked, remembering to polite.

"We are. Amparath is his same, somewhat ridiculous self, and I am.. well, I am alive and breathing. And I am glad to be home and a full rider, and back around my friends." T'rin said this last making eye contact with Miya, a soft look on his face. He quickly turned his head back to where he was walking, not wanting to make her uncomfortable.
I am not ridiculous, Amparath said, choosing this time to voice his comment to both riders.
"I could prove otherwise, oh dragon of mine," T'rin said in a mocking tone, grinning at Miya. "What other dragon you know chooses the thinner herdbeasts simply so he can justify having more of them?"
Amparath was silent, projecting a clearly stubborn and pouty presence into both riders' minds. T'rin only laughed.
"He always does that when I make a point," he said, shaking his head good-naturedly. "That is what I mean by ridiculous. He has temper tantrums, almost."

"I am glad you both are well." She said almost businesslike. Her eyes were looking at T'rin as he spoke. She noticed his face change, it grew...soft. He turned his head away quickly, probably so that she didn't see it, but it was too late. Miya saw his face, but she didn't mention it. Miya chuckled as the two argued, and T'rin mentioned his eating habits.
"Tell Amparath, that he is a large dragon. Hr should go for the larger heardbeasts, and leave the thin ones for the smaller dragons." She said to T'rin, knowing how it was impolite to talk to talk straight to another's dragon, and the sleeping Reinath couldn't help her.

Amparath replied straight to Miya, completely disregarding any manners he might usually have. I am being considerate. I am leaving the plumper ones for the smaller dragons so they do not tire.
T'rin snorted. "Do you see what I have to deal with?"
((Sorry, short.. it's 10 AM and my brain has only just started to function.))

"But if they are larger, then they might also be stronger and more fit, while the smaller ones aren't quite as fast or daring." Miya said to Amparath, momentarily forgetting manners or the fact that she was now arguing with a dragon.
Miya turned to T'rin to respond to what he said. "I know how you feel. Maybe we have the most conceited dragons in the Weyr." She sighed, but she wasn't really complaining, more than joking around a little bit. She knew that Reinath was a good match for her. In fact, Reinath wasn't as immature as she used to be. The gold was becoming wiser. Even though Miya didn't know it, the god was actually maturing faster than she was.

((Well I'm sorry I only reply twice a day at the most. I have stuff to do. I'm in college.))
I don't see what that has to do with anything, Amparath replied to Miya rather conceitedly.
"We probably do," T'rin said after Miya made her comment, grinning. "But I don't know if that's bad." He almost made the mistake of voicing the next thought in his head, which had been, 'They're practically made for each other.' He wasn't sure when-- or if-- to bring that up, especially considering Miya was still angry with him. This conversation was nice, though. Hopefully her manner would continue to thaw.
