Before she left, Uslanee nodded at Rhia. "I'm sure we can find someone. It'll give some of the gossipers something to do."
T'rin nodded at Nira, and shifted.
((Ack, horrible. Oh well. Don't have all that much to go on.))

Zim turned around in time to see the other little queen fly in. She started chittering madly at the smaller, and younger gold. Talons dug into Nike's padded shoulder, and the golden tail wrapped tighter around the white rider's thin neck. "Quit it Zim! You'll choke me!" The healer said as she unwove the tail so it was looser. Once the queen was settled, Nike carefully shifted her pack, and glanced over her shoulder to see Crystal's little head poking out of her pack. Green eyes turned back to Christae as they headed down towards the caverns.

Christae led the way through the passages. They came to a corridor lined with storage rooms. "There are 12 rooms here. There are 6 of us. We take two each and then meet back here. I think most of us have flitts. Send a flitt out if you need something." Christae stroked the bronze flitt that had kept himself hidden under her hair. "The sooner we can get this done, the faster you can get to your beds."
((Do we want to rp this whole thing or skip ahead? I'd vote for skip ahead though it would keep people occupied for longer if we rped out the search))

Christae turned to her party. "This isn't the last tunnel but we would have seen signs of any passage by now. There is no way someone could have come through any of those tunnels without leaving traces. Let's turn back." Several hours had passed and they had had no luck. Christae started to reach for Kaith to ask the gold to check on the others' progress. She remembered with a pang that her dragon was sedated and would remain that way for the rest of the night and most of the next morning.
The Weyrwoman led them through the twisting maze of passageways back to the kitchens. They had eaten all their food and their water skins were running low. "The glows will run out soon anyway." She passed the blocked passageway. "It's only a little further." They emerged from the tunnels dusty, dirty and bone tired. "From the looks of it, the rest of the search parties have finished, eaten and gone to bed.
Christae accepted the reports from the waiting riders and dismissed her own party. She told them to rest well and sleep late. She cancelled wing duties for the next two days to help everyone recuperate from the shock and from the exhaustion of a late night search. She deposited her spent glowbasket and her pack in a place that Uslanee or one of her staff members could find it and made her way up to her weyr.
Christae felt defeated. Her dragon was not on her place at the ledge. Christae was used to this sight by now but normally she could easily touch the Queen's mind as she slept by her eggs. It was hard to believe that scant hours before she had convinced the gold to leave her eggs for a little while so that she could eat and stretch her massive wings. Now she was in a drug induced slumber and unresponsive to her rider's contact.
Christae entered the weyr and looked around. Chiron's crib was empty. She figured that the Headwoman had kept her son overnight to give the Weyrleaders a well-needed break. Sh'iron wasn't home yet so Christae shed her dusty clothing and went to bathe. She let the hot water soak away her physical aches but nothing could ease the deep ache within her heart.

It was late, and as they finished their search, T'rin was discouraged. They had found no sign of the egg or anyone staying anywhere, and he ws bone tired. He called Amparath to bring him up to his weyr, and the bronze landed out in the weyrbowl.
Even he sounded tired. We will find the egg, he said, only sounding half convinced in his fatigue. T'rin mounted and Amparath launched, knocking the bronzerider's head back especially hard since he was too tired to brace against it. They reached his ledge, and he collapsed into bed, dusty clothes and all. He managed a last thought before he slept, and it was worry about the Hatching.

T'rin was not the only one discouraged, Akki was too and slightly frustrated. Deep within her she thought they would find something, anything that would lead them to the thief's identity. And yet, there was nothing, not even the tiniest clue. She sighed in defeat as she made her way to her weyr. Her weyr, yes, that's was what she was looking forward too.
Want me to come and get you like Amparath did for his mine? Ebbeth asked, despite the tiredness that weighed down on him. No, I will walk. I need to think even for a few minutes She replied as she slowly made her way to her weyr. Soon she was in her weyr, sitting cross legged as she absentmindedly stroked Sargon who was curled around her neck, for once not joking her.
"Will they find the egg for the hatching? What if it is not found? The same with the thief?" She queried out loud to her blue who, despite the sleeping appearance of his, was listening intently. "More importantly, it does not feel right to have a thief sneaking about. If the theif is not found soon, false accusations may start most of them directing to females for that's teh same gender as the stranger. When an item is misplaced, things will leap into a person's head. This could create more chaos than it already has." She said as she stifled a yawn.
Akki soon drifted off into sleep, as she thought of how odd it must be for Christae without her giant gold to be there, her shoulders drooped and her head lolling slightly as she fell asleep in the sitting position, something she would regret later on no doubt when she woke up to be stiff. She did not even notice that Ebbeth did not answer. He did not answer for as he heard Akki's numerous questions the more he thought of them, the more he realized she was right. With a glance at his mine, a glance of curiousity at her sudden maturity to this issue, he too joined her in a deep slumber.

Hali had searched the barracks with Perin and some of the other boys. They had ever searched around the barracks, but there wasn't even a trace. It was upsetting, and Hali was confused, but some people were just that cruel.
She walked over to her bed and wrapped herself in sleeping furs, without even removing her clothes, like always. It got hot, and she normally slept on top of the warm sleeping furs, but she needed something to hold.
***********************************
Miya has searched around the outskirts of the Weyr, and even put some of the nearby Weyrs and Holds on alert. She couldn't believe and didn't understand why someone would take the egg. It was pointless, everyone knew that you had to be chosen by the dragon, and if the right person wasn't there, the dragon would go between. Whoever stole the egg, was just killing the young hatchling inside.
Mine, almost everyone has gone back to their beds and fallen asleep. You should too. We did as much as we could for now and you are exhausted. Reinath explained.
Miya could not complain, for she knew that Reinath was right. Instead, she had the Jr. Queen-to-be fly her back to the Weyrling barracks. Upon arrival she removed her clothing and got under the sleeping furs. SHe glanced over to Reinath, whom already fell asleep, and drifted off herself.
**********************
They all had been searching for hours, but found nothing. When they got back the lower caverns were deserted. Nira was exhausted beyond belief. SHe didn't even care about getting something to eat. She went outside and headed for her Weyr.
Would you like a ride? Siarath offered.
Thankyou, but no. I fear I would fall asleep on your back. Either way, it didn't take long for Nira to get back to her Weyr. SHe immediantly fell asleep.

G'han had searched the weyrs with R'dal and neither found anything. G'han had his blue Azure to help him as well but nothing. Whoever it was hadn't been where they searched. G'han patted R'dal's shoulder. A bit of a reach as R'dal was a few inches taller. "I'm beat, I'm heading to my weyr. Maybe you should do the same. We're both tired and need rest", G'han said to R'dal with a bit of a tired look on his face. Azure landed on his shoulder and the two walked to their weyr. Whether or not Rhia was there he did not know. He was too exhausted to notice and barely managed to slip off his boots as he crawled into their bed and drifted to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
R'dal nodded at G'han's words. He walked off to his weyr as well. He looked down at the sleeping form of Nira and smiled. He slid off his boots and changed into something more comfortable. He gently eased into bed as not to jostle her awake with the movements. He lay next to her and wrapped his arms around her. He closed his eyes and fell asleep as he embraced her, always something to calm him was her presence and being able to hold her.
Nike was tired. No other word to discribe it. The Healer was nodding off by the end of the Search, and when Christae told them to go back to their beds, a happy sigh was all that came out. Once out out in the caverns, Nike quickly made her way to the infirmary where she deposited her Healer kit, and basket of glows. She then made her way tot he Weyrling Barracks, and thankfully fell down into her cot where she fell alseep with only taking off her boots.
Sh'iron walked into his weyr with a tired Myranenth walking behind. The bronze fell quickly asleep on his couch, and the Weyrleader envied his dragon bescause of that. Once in the sleeping room, Sh'iron let his dirty clothes fall tot he ground, and he head over to the bathing room. A weak smile formed on his lips as he heard Christae in the pool. The bronze rider pushed aside the curtian, and slipped into the warm pool, resting his head on the ledge. "We had little luck," He said with his eyes closed. "But we did find some nice caverns that would make very nice weyrs. Like at Benden."
Rhia had helped search the surrounding countryside. She had also jumped from Weyr to Weyr spreading the news to the other Weyrleaders. As expected they were livid that something like that should happen to a Queen's clutch. They offered aid in the form of Threadwatchriders. They would keep an eye out for Thread falling on Dark Moon's territory while the small weyr tried to recuperate from the shock. They also volunteered to keep an eye out for anyone trying to escape with the egg. There were Renegades that were willing to buy dragon eggs in the hopes that they could turn the dragon hatchling against the Weyr. She returned to her weyr after leaving her report where the Weyrleaders could find it. She didn't want to disturb them. She returned to her weyr. Mneith landed and Rhia dismounted. She had enough strength left to take his riding straps off. The great brown curled up on his couch. Rhia leaned against his warm hide, absently scratching his eye ridges and soon fell asleep cradled between the brown's forearms.
G'han tossed a bit in his sleep as Mneith and his rider made their way in. His eyes flickered a bit before opening and looking about the room. He heard Mneith and looked around and saw no Rhia. He slowly got out of bed, still tired and achey from the long search. He smiled as he saw Rhia rested by her dragon. "If you don't mind Mneith. I think she needs a nice, soft bed", he whispered gently to the brown. He knelt down and carefully picked up his sleeping weyrmate and gently carried her to the bed and placed her down. He pulled the furs over her and crept in the other side of the bed. It was obviously a hard day for everyone and Rhia was worn out even more so than G'han. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead and whispered, "Goodnight and sleep well love". With that he was out of it again.
K'dan had searched the weyrlings barracks and decided to look around the surrounding areas for the slightest clues, though none seemed to exist. He wasn't as tired as all the others though. He watched as Nike went off to her own barracks but said not a word. She had obviously worked harder than him. He decided to go to the lower caverns and grab something to eat and get something to drink. With a few sweetrolls and a cup of klah sat before him he leaned back in his chair and sighed. It was obvious things had been on his mind and perhaps something was bothering him. Sharan and Hydrath both were sound asleep, which left K'dan alone for the time being.
Christae looked up when she heard her weyrmate enter the bathing room. She had heard the big bronze moving in the weyr and had assumed that he was home. There was a small spark of hope in her dark brown eyes but that spark faded as Sh'iron reported that they had had no luck.
She turned her head, not interested in caves that could make nice weyrs. "That's nice." She said dully and reached for the sweetsand. "I am still waiting to hear from Rhia to see what the other Weyrleaders think." She soaped her body, watching as a layer of dirt clouded the water before being swept away under the ledge of the rock pool. "I don't know why someone would steal an egg. Surely they know that if the dragonet hatches and there is no one suitable for it to Impress the creature will go between Admin's Note:[/hr]"
Akki shifted herself slightly in her sleep, only to recieve a sharp nip by Sargon who was soon to be crushed underneath her. Her eyes snapped open at the bite and she looked around for a moment, thinking that someone was there until she realized it was just her silly flitt. "You shardin' scared me." She said as her hand fluttered over her heart. She closed her eyes again, but to her displeasure she did not fall asleep again. It seemed like it would be a while before she fell back asleep, despite the over whelming fatigue.
She headed towards the kitchen, decided that some klah could help even though she had a feeling that it would not. As she walked into the kitchen she sleepily raised an eyebrow and said, "Shouldn't you be asleep?" as she spotted K'dan. Raking her hand through her hair, using her fingers to comb it slightly she took some klah and sat, well more flopping, into a chair, shoulders drooping.
K'dan perked up when he heard Akki speak to him, as if snapped out of his own little world. He shrugged and took a sip of klah. When done he set the mug down and looked at it. "I couldn't sleep", he said dully as he looked absentmindedly at the mug. Maybe it was the fact that he was tired or how late it was that helped with this but K'dan just didn't seem to be all that enthused and in this world.
Akki noticed that he was tiredly gazing at the mug, and trying to brighten the moment (Or make it worse unknowingly) she said, "You won't find the egg in there K'dan. Could try a sweet roll though, might be hiding in one of those.". As she spoke she picked up a sweet roll and took a bite only to remember that she wasn't hungry.
"This must be excrutiatingly hard for Christae." She said as she tucked some hair behind her hair and had a far away look on her face. She sighed, in defeat it almost sounded like, and spoke, "This egg being stolen is the worst thing that has fallen on this weyr it seems.".
"Huh? Oh", K'dan said as he lifted his head to look at her and forced a small smile. "Yeah it is. I just can't imagine the reasoning behind someone taking it. They would have to be desperate considering the risks it would involve", he said to her. What was truely upsetting him? Was it that Nike seemed to be off doing more important things? Maybe that he saw her even less now with their punishment coupled with their duties? A combination of both? Perhaps more than that? Perhaps K'dan was just riddled with many things on his mind at once and no one thing was the problem. He took another sip and watched as Akki took one of his sweetrolls, not that he really minded ofcourse. He just set them out incase he was hungry and might want to pick at them.
She looked at the food in her hand and said a soft 'Hn.' and added, "I think I just stole your food K'dan, sorry about that.". She placed it on the table and gave him a sheepish grin. She was silent for a moment and then said, "As much as I want to completely hate this theif I can't.". She frowned slightly and continued, "I have to give them credit. For their bravery, you know? I mean, people think of stealing them but enver do I suppose. She actually did, and she probablt knew the risks. I have to give her credit for that.".
It was hard, wanting to hate someone but knowing you can't. She clucked her tongue and said, "Life's hard that way I guess. Now what's on your mind K'dan. Don't deny it. I may be foolish but I can tell when something is up, believe it or not. So give it up.".
"Yeah I know what you mean", he said to her. He was then silent for a moment before he heard her ask about him. "Akki. Have you ever been in love?", he parried her question with one of his own. He took another sip of his klah and watched her as he did so.
She cast a look, a confused one with a hint of a grin and amusement, at K'dan and said, "You're avoiding the question K'dan.". She grew silent and thought as seconds became minutes and then said, "I'm not sure. Maybe once, but I really don't know. I'm not bothered by not having it and such, I mean, you can't miss something you never had right? Or at least, don't think you ever had. Why?".
"Hm. Maybe I am. But I was just wondering", he said. He looked at her when she asked why. "Well. I love Nike but ever since the punishment and with recent events and our own duties......I haven't seen as much of her and to be honest I can't stand being distanced from her like this. She always seems so busy too. She is such an important person in the weyr and I'm happy for her about that but I just seem a simple shadow compared to her. I just really wish I could be with her and spend more time with her", he said, finally letting it all out to his good friend. He slumped down and rested his chin on the table as he looked out, seemingly blankly. "I....miss her", he spat out and then sighed.
