Nothing but a vast spread ocean, nothing worthwhile anyway... Blue eyes stare forward, mind drowned with thoughts. 'What am I doing with my life...' Thoughts of confusion and nothing more... The ocean blue eyes, belonging to that of a boy, looked away from the ocean they had been drawn to for so long. The boy got up, dusting his pants and tunic off. "Guess I've got some walking to do," he said to himself, his voice fairly deep. His blond hair was often light but the spring months had lightened it up all the more. He kicked at some sand, it causing some dust in the air that came rolling back in his direction. He covered his mouth, coughing a few times. He turned his head back to wards the forest brush that neared the sandy beaches, wondering if he'd have any luck finding a Weyr if he walked through them. "Forget it," he frowned, sitting back down quickly...
He once again became occupied with the ocean waters, not even concerned about how long he was planning on being here. He had no where to go, that was pretty clear, but what was a boy of 17 turns supposed to do about an uncanny situation like that? This boy was too drawn by the oceanside to give much thought to his situation, although when the night came maybe he'd wish he had.

Siarath flew over the ocean, enjoying the spray of water as it drizzled across her green hide. The two had decided to do a straight flight for the next Search. It was good to just relax, and since there was an ocean on the way there, they could also enjoy the view.
Nira had a wide smile on her face. She was holding her helmet in her arm, so that her hair could whip around in the ocean breeze, and the water could splash into her face. She enjoyed times like these, especially since they rarely came up. But then again, that was probably what made them so special. Her eyes were closed so she could enjoy the salty smelling air and the cool breeze.
Siarath's questioning voice then entered her mind. Mine, there is a boy up ahead. Is there a hold we do not know about? The green slowed slightly and raised off of the ocean surface so that they could see.
Nira opened her eyes, and she too saw a lone boy. ~I don't think so. Let's go check.~
Siarath nodded and turned so that they were headed towards the boy, but a bit away. They landed a few yards away from the boy. Nira dismounted and held her helmet tightly. So far, she could only see one boy, but what would one person be doing out here alone? "Hello?" She questioned.

The boy quickly turned around, the air having gotten colder from the landing of the great beast. He stood-up, once again dusting himself off like before. He stood-up straight, wondering if he had been perhaps intruding by being here. He didn't think so, considering most beaches belonged to no one but were for the enjoyment of all...
"Hello," he bowed to her respectfully, looking past her to the Green Searchrider. He didn't want to seem desperate although he knew that having a flying-dragon near by to bring him to a Weyr was most handy. He waited for her to say something, not too sure how one was suppose to address a dragonrider.
It was plain to see that he was in good shape, assuredly fit, a sword neatly at his side and easy to draw. He was no obvious threat and the boy looked his age. His hair shimmered, cleanly, clothes unwrinkled and not looking to be marred by dirt or anything of the like that would indicate a long journey had been made. He didn't seem to express too much emotion, not giving away any feelings that he current held within. He knew that she could be his link back to Pern's civilization but a part of him was buried so deep that he didn't care.

"Sorry. I was just wondering why you were out here. Are you alone?" She asked, though she knew it was none of her buisness. She then remembered her manners. "Oh, sorry. I am Nira, rider of green Siarath." She explained.

He contemplated bowing a second time, wondering if it'd be too overdone if he happened to do so. "No, don't be, I'm simply sorry for having brought your attention down here," he replied with a motion of his head to the ground beneath them. He knew that a dragonrider's place was in the sky so for her to have bothered to come down here must've meant her thinking there was something wrong, either her or Siarath that is.
"As for an answer to your question, yes, I am alone." He put a hand on his chest temporarily before letting his arm hang at his side as the other was. "I'm..." he began, wondering if he should give his actual name. Due to the pause he gave an apology, "sorry, I'm Roxis." He ended-up giving his real name, deciding there was no lying to a dragonrider.

((That is Roxis.))
He should come back to the Weyr with us. Siarath commented.
Nira turned with shock to the green. What? You think he impress? She did not expect this. I don't know what.
I believe so. There is something else too, but I am not sure what. Siarath commented.
Nira was confused but nodded. "Roxis, would you like to come to the Weyr with us and stand as a candidate?" She asked.

The boy smiled, ruffling his own hair some happily. 'Finally, the chance I've been looking for,' he thought to himself. He had always had dreams of becoming a dragonrider, was it really going to unfold?
"Of course, miss, I'd love nothing more," he replied. This time it was nothing but the truth, the light flush in his cheeks assuring any one of that. He couldn't help but continually glance at Siarath. That was something him and 'the girl' had in common... something they had always spoke-of. That girl, how he had to find her! He figured there was more luck finding her within a Weyr any one rather then out here away from all else.

Nira chuckled. That was the average reply. "Well then, let's go. Would you like me to help you on to Siarath? She may be a green, but she is still large." Nira would often watch little kids strugle onto Siarath's back, claiming they didn't need help. While Roxis wasn't little, even Nira sometimes had trouble getting on to Siarath's back."

Roxis walked over to Siarath, looking to Nira. The boy hadn't been at all hesitant, obviously having no fear of the great beasts. Although, he knew to cautious around others dragons, for safety purposes. He nodded to Siarath respectfully, as if thanking her with that nod, knowing she was the one who had to do the flying (no matter how little). "I think I'll manage," he said eagerly, smiling at the Green Searchrider. He didn't know whether or not it'd be taken defensively if he asked her the same question. After all, she did it all the time. "She is quite large, isn't she?" he smiled, not wanting it to appear like he had disagreed.

Nira smiled. "Yes she is. One of the largest greens." Nira replied. She climbed up on to Siarath's back, in the front. "Ready?" She questioned.

He managed to get on behind her all right, nodding, not having thought about the fact that she wasn't looking at him. "Oh, yeah... I am." He waited for the dragon to take flight, preparing himself for the cold that was between.
He couldn't stop thinking about attending the clutch... If there was to be one soon... Why else would she offer him the position of being a Candidate? He sure hoped there was going to be one, dragons the only other thing that occupied his thoughts other then the beaches and 'Her.'

Siarath flew up and went between.
((Lol. Sorry, but typing the same thing over and over again gets kind of boring.))
