"This lake is quiet. It doesn't have anyone else around. I rather enjoy it here", he said staring to the sky now as he seemed to speak in general but was talking to Akki. "I'm hoping you won't disturb this quiet day for me. Days like these are when I am truely at peace", he continued then realized he had opened up a bit to her. What was this about? Was it because she wasn't pushing or agitating him? Was it because she wasn't crowding or pestering him like the others? He looked back over the lake and put his hands back behind his head.

"I don't plan too. Believe it or not but I like it when it's like this, I don't want to kill today. Someone else can do that." She said truthfully. Someone else might do that, but maybe not. She was sure others like days like this...right? Rhia might she supposed, she wasn't sure who else would have.

"Good", he said simply. He hoped no one else would ruin it for him. Otherwise he would have to leave this quiet setting. He watched as the breeze blew over the water and felt the gentle touch through his hair. He ran his fingers through his hair and his other eye was revealed momentarily. He looked out over the lake with it, seeming to take in a fuller version of it's tranquility. He soon let his hair fall back to where it was though and place the hand behind his head again.

She sat up and crossed her legs as Ebbeth swam up to her. She smiled, once again having a flashback of him stumbling around on the sand. I do not stumble Ebbeth sniffed trying to heal his pride. She rolled her eyes, he did so, he was always falling around back then. I like today, it is nice out and for once there is not a quarrel going on. I know. It will not last long

He glanced over at Akki watching her and her dragon. I wonder what my dragon will be like? He thought to himself what color he would have, any would be fine to him he guessed. Well maybe not a blue, sure his brother was a bluerider but he wanted something a bit higher up, something bigger and a bit stronger. A brown maybe even a bronze. He dispised his bronzerider brother but that didn't have anything to do with his dragon. He pondered this for a moment then let the though leave him. Once again he took in the tranquility and scenery of the lake.

She continued to watch Ebbeth but said, "What do you want to Impress? Any preferences?". She knew most people wanted to a dragon of a higher status, but she was fine with a blue. They didn't have anything to live up too, and they weren't arrogant. They, to her, were perfect. Ebbeth flicked his tail contently, he was glad that his mine so no flaws in him. Perhaps they weren't supposed to see their flaws he thought.

"Preferance? I don't know. A brown maybe a bronze", he said to her. No malice in his voice no annoyed tone just the simple plain tone. No enthusiasm either which would be a suprise to even him if he had said it in such a tone.

"In other words a higher ranked dragon?" She asked, turning her head to look at him. Hm, it did seem to fit his personality to want a higher ranked personality she had to admit. Just like mine fits with Ebbeth she thought contently.

"Perhaps yes. Would there be something wrong with wanting such a thing?", he asked, a little intruiged but still in the same plain tone.

"Perhaps." She replied simply. She carefully thought over her next answer before speaking, "I mean, no offense to anyone else, but I dislike it when people have preferences. I mean, they have no control over it and then when they get something of lower status of what they wanted they get mad and ignore their dragonet or something. They can't ignore them forever however, because the dragonet will become a part of you.".

"I would do no such thing. Just because I have a preference doesn't mean I would discard any other dragon I impressed", he said a bit agitated but not to the point where he would leave or blow her head off about it.

She shrugged and said, "Why did you assume I was saying you would do that? It was a general comment, not aimed directly at you.". She could tell she was bothering him a bit, but come on. Give her a break, she went this far without doing so, so cut her some slakc. Okay? Great.

"Hmm and who said I thought you were talking about me. It was an answer to what you said and a general statement in itself", he said, a bit more agitated but keeping his cool.

"Well you did answer that you would do no such thing. I thought that meant you thought I was talking about you." She pointed out before pausing and then saying, "Okay, I'm confused now. You won the argument.". She rubbed her head and blinked furiously for a moment.

"No it was a general comment", he said plainly. He didn't respond when she said he won the arguement. With all the fights and such he got into he really didn't consider that one.

She held up her hand and said, "Stop, please. Before you make me combust or something.". She closed her eyes as she laid down, snorted and said, "And you warned me not to warn your peace.".

"Fine by me", he said. He closed his eyes and listend as the breeze swept across the lake.

She raised one eyebrow as she tried to control her laughter. His answer really didn't exactly make sense. Well it did, but not for the second part. However, she didn't think he cared much for the second part.
Ebbeth watched them as they talked from the lake, but when they stopped he said to both, You too are boring. You just sit and chat there like you are one of the elderly ladies you hear of. What elderly people have you heard of? She asked, however he stayed quiet and feigned ignorance to her question.

Dicer didn't respond to the dragon. He was content with what was going on now. No one in his face and the tranquility and peace of the lake before him. He looked to Akki when she tried to hold in her laughter. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing.

"Well?" She said to Ebbeth, wanting an answer. He was silent for another moment and then mumbled, I don't know Akki grinned and said, "Thought so.". It was silent for a few moments and then she asked, "Would you want a mute dragon?". She never thought of asking that before, it never really seemed important to her, being mute seemed like a part of Ebbeth now. A trademark almost, his personality.
