Nike's jaw droped, and then glared at G'age. "P'ren can't be gone!" She yelled. Ruanth looked up at her starlted. Nike's eyes flashed as she scanned over the young male. She would make his life like he was on the Red Star. Just because he was replacing P'ren.

Kia's jaw dropped. She was abut to yell something at Nike but stiffled it to a whisper saying, "What a brat." Kylath also looked up and kept her thoughts hidden from Nike after a bit of a look from Kia. [shadow=red,left,300]She truly is being one. P'ren wanted to rest and had every right.[/shadow]

K'dan kind of looked suprised at Nike when she shouted, being lost in his thoughts. He nodded his head and thought, poor Nike she must have been really close to P'ren. He didn't yet know she would cause trouble for G'age.

T'rin walked into the meeting far too late. He would accept his punishment without a word, for it had been his fault. He nodded guiltily at Christae, apologizing with his eyes. Amparath followed him, echoing his rider's guilt. T'rin walked over to Miya, trying to keep his shoulders back and a neutral expression on his face. He managed that, barely. He stood next to the goldrider, saying, "Hi," and squeezing her hand briefly before letting it go again. "What've I missed?"

Miya glanced at Nike when the healer screamed. "Shards, Nike, it isn't ath bad." she said angrily to the white rider. "It'sd not like he was your weyrmayte or anything. The man is old, has a right to stop training weyrlings. Shells, it ain't that bad." She muttered angrily. She saw Nike in. She shifted slightly uncomfortably as T'rin held her hand. "Not much. We have a new weyrling master and NIke is freaking out." she glared at the woman.

T'rin grinned, not really noticing Miya's discomfort; after all, he wasn't holding her hand anymore and didn't feel her shift. "I've not seen her freak out before. This should prove interesting. Besides, wasn't the old one supposed to be really tough? I don't know that I'd be upset about that." He shook his head. "Girls," he said, before realizing that Miya might take offense and hurriedly apologizing. "I really am sorry, but you girls really are rather confusing sometimes."

Miya looked at T'rin. "I agree, MOST of the girls here are quite strange." she said emphasizing most, so she could leave herself out. "Though I wouldn't say all the boys here are all tha normal either." Miya pointed out. Don't forget some of the dragons. Reinath added for T'rin and Amparath to hear.

Amparath said, Hey! at Reinath's comment but T'rin only grinned wider. Here was an opportunity to tease. "Maybe what you call strange is really normal, and you, Miya, are the strange one. Same goes for you, Reinath," he added, smiling impishly at the gold.

Reinath snorted at T'rins reply. "I doubt that. I think you are just from the Red Star." Miya replied, though her voice and face remained expressionless.
(Sorry these are so short.))

"Brina always said so. Perhaps I was adopted..." T'rin arranged his face to look thoughtful. "That would explain how all my enemies just tend to disappear..."

B’kin glanced at the dragonrider that Christae had introduced as G’age. He’d heard tales about P’ren the old Weyrlingmaster, would this man be as tough a Weyrlingmaster as P’ren? Ronoth cocked his head to the side and looked at the bronzerider’s dragon, Gendilith. ~I don’t care who teaches us as long as I learn how to fly soon, I’m tired of walking places.~ The bronze dragon was so ungainly on the ground… B’kin frowned, “I think we’re going to have to wait a little while before we fly, Ronoth.” He scratched the dragon’s eyeridges.

Nike glared at Miya. "No, you don't understand. P'ren wasn't that old. He had a mate, and a young babe. He was strong, and I knew he wanted to teach young dragon riders till his death. That was as one of his students. But as a Healer of his, I knew him as a strong and healthy man who would live many Turns. I just don't understand how such a healthy man could go down hill so quickly. In what was it? Oh, two and a half Turns. Either something really bad is happening to him and he won't even tell his own Healers, or he was forced to go." She said quickly. That was what she didn't understand. Calm down mine. When we can fly and go /between/ we can visit him and see how he is doing. I am sure he is fine though. Ruanth said soothingly. Nike sighed and looked down at her dragon. I guess you're right. I always am.

Forced to go? Those words stuck out in K'dan's mind. What was Nike getting at? Surely she didn't suspect G'age forced him away. He only met the new weyrling master breifly but from what he could tell he was a nice enough guy. K'dan sighed and hoped this didn't get to out of hand.

Nike turned to G'age and gave him a little smile. "I'm not blaming you on anything. I am just a little confused on these things." She said quickly, making sure he wouldn't get mad or offended.

"Who was Brita?" she asked subconsiously. Then Nike spoke. "Nike, you practically just answered your own question. He has a babe. Maybe he was tired of bossing around weyrlings. Maybe he wanted to be with his family and watch his babe grow up." Miya said angrily, and almost even wisely.

K'dan gave a sigh of relief. He didn't want any trouble caused during weyrling lessons. All he wanted was for things to run smoothe and quick. Though in the back of his mind something was telling him that wouldn't be the case. Hydrath looked a little relieved at his rider as it seemed he was coming back to his normal self. Maybe today he would start talking again, maybe even to D'ran and Nike. He could always hope anyway. But since the time that he found about Nike and D'ran and Nike said she wasn't ready for a relationship, K'dan had much confusion and alot of things to think out. Hydrath still sensed much confusion from him.

Nike glared at Miya. "He and his mate took turns looking over the child. And plus there was always a foster mother who could have taken over for them." She said, then rolled her eyes. It was quiet simple. Riders lived in Weyrs. Still, it was so sudden, and the least he could do was tell the reason he was going away to his Healers. That would make any Healer upset if one of their riders just left without any reason. Then the Healer would think it was their fualt.
It wasn't your falut, mine. You didn't do anything wrong. Ruanth said, lifing her head up high. But it barely reached past Nike's hip. Thank you. But you never know. The rider said resting a hand on the white's little head, and strached her eye ridges. Ruanth crooned softly.

K'dan nodded his head and thought, If these two are in weyrling lessons together then you can scratch smoothe and quick. Hydrath gave a smile as it seemed his rider was now making jokes again. I am guessing you are coming back to normal. Before you wouldn't have said a word much less make a joke. ~Hydrath I said that to myself. Unless you were prying into my thoughts you couldn't have known that~, he said to his dragon. Sorry but I have been worried about you and it's about time you started speaking to me again. K'dan sighed and nodded his head. ~Perhaps you worry too much. I have merely been lost in thought~, he explained. A little too lost if you ask me. ~Shush already~, he said, though not angrily. Hydrath was happy now, though his bonded seemed to act a bit differently. He shrugged it off thinking not much of it.

D'ran was simply standing, shoulders hunched. His eyes seemed almost blank. His senetences lately had stayed brief and most communication was through his dragon. He felt as if now he really didn't have any friends in the Weyr now except for ol` Aureth. [glow=blue,2,300]Mine, I don't understand why you feel this way.[/glow]~Aureth, you are not alone. In a way, I don't know either.~ The Blue looked up at his bonded with utter confusion. D'ran's face was blank through Nike's outburst and the couple retorts she got from Miya. His face had grown a bit pale but he stayed fit. The Harper had been training but alone. He fingered the top of Aureth's head. The dragon gently crooned.
