Name: Anassa Age: 18 Turns Gender: female Rank: Wing Rider Dragon: Green Priath (003300) Dragon Appearance: Dark forest green with black threads marbling her hide to make it look like she is in a forest. She is a sturdy green, with clean, lithe lines with a muscular grace. She is on the smaller side of medium for a green and rather swift in the air. She isn't the fastest, but she can outrace any brown, most of the blues, and majority of the greens in the Weyr. She doesn't have the stamina of a larger dragon but she is very agile. Dragon Personality: Very vain and fussy but sweet. She likes to flirt with the male dragons, especially when she is close to rising. She is caring and likes to mother people when she can, and occasionally laments the fact that she can't have eggs of her own. She can be contrary at times just for the sake of it, especially when she is proddy. She loves to have her hide oiled and cleaned. Personality: Anassa used to be a shy girl. She quickly learned that shyness will get a person nowhere and worked on becoming more sociable. She enjoys having conversations with people, but when she wants to be alone, she becomes rather testy around those who won't give her space. She values alone time, but also knows that people need social interactions. She is a caring person and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She never shies away from hard work. She does lose her temper at times, but always apologizes afterwards if she was in the wrong. With her harper training, she has learned to rein in the worst of her temper, but it often shows in sarcastic comments when she is trying to keep it in check. She is sweet and feisty, overall a rather diverse girl. Appearence: Anassa is about medium height, around 5'6 and is sturdily built rather than delicate. She has small hands and feet, slender, long fingers perfect for playing instruments and strong limbs. She is nimble with her hands and feet. Her hair is cut about shoulder length and is a light brown color that is sunstreaked. Her eyes are a grey-green color that changes with her clothing, darkening when she wears darker colors, becoming a lighter, more greyish color. She has a stubborn chin and a firm mouth. She is well-muscled like any other dragon rider but she looks proportioned rather than bulky. She will never win any beauty contests but she is wholesomely pretty with a full mouth, small nose, and eyes that are wide and pretty. She has full, but not overly large breasts, even though she wishes she had less. Her curves are not overly pronounced, though she does have some. Roleplay Sample: Anassa twirled about with the pipes in her hands. She was playing a merry tune and dancing around in her room at the Harper Hall when the dragon appeared overhead and Fort's Watchdragon bugled a welcome. She ran to her window, still piping her merry song. She saw that the dragon was not landing in Fort as she thought that it would. History: Anassa was born into a family of six in a small farmhold beholden to Igen. Her mother had two more children behind her that survived. Three died in childbirth. She showed musical ability from a young age and her parents sent her to the Harper Hall for training at the urging of the Hold's Harper. Her parents had originally wanted to send her to the Healer Hall because many of the Harpers were falling out of favor and they did not want that for their child. However, she had shown no aptitude for the healing arts. She loved music but she felt that the Hall was too restraining for a person like her. She loved to dance to tunes of her own making, and although she rarely ever set down a score, she remembered her songs. She always loved watching dragons, thinking that their wings made music in the air and their flight was like a dance. She worked at her studies in the Harper Hall, hoping that perhaps one day, a Searchrider would come and she would be taken away to the Weyr, but she knew that it was improbable. That was until the day that the search rider from Dark Moon arrived. She left just before she was to walk the tables to become a Journeywoman. There, on the hot sands of Dark Moon Weyr, she met the eyes of the most beautiful creature she had ever seen and her soul truly began to sing. She had never known that half of her soul was missing and she never knew that such harmony could exist between two beings. Pets: blue flitt Aquas Aquas is a deep, blue with the hint of turquoise, like the depths of the ocean. He is a small flitt, like most blues. He is a mix of lazy and energetic, and it all depends on his mood. He is a sturdy, almost stocky blue with a broad head and thick body. He has the tendency to become overweight during his lazy stints but always works it off when his mood changes to energetic. He loves to curl up on his mistress's dragon and always likes to help clean her. He likes to spash around in water and loves to try to eat bubbly pies or things he shouldn't.

Name: K’rin
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Rank: Wing Rider
Dragon: Green Nynth
Dragon Appearance: Nynth is small for a dragon, even a green, scarcely reaching 20m in length though her wing span is, proportionally, slightly larger than what they possibly should. Despite her overall small size, this slight discrepancy did lead to her looking a little ungainly during the early stages. Now, however, she looks to be well proportioned and is a pretty, dainty thing of a dragon. Her hide is soft, light, muted green, and is free from any markings or blemishes.
Dragon Personality: Nynth has a pretty upbeat and cheerful personality and she will happily engage others in conversation. She does pretty much have the dragon equivalent of ADD. Very little holds her attention for any length of time and her mind will happily flitt from one thing to another before anyone else has noticed. On the whole, K’rin is one of few who can generally keep up with what she’s going on about but he does have an unfair advantage of being her rider. She will quite often sit quietly, mind a-wandering, and then ask or state things out of the blue, whether they are relevant or the time is convenient or not.
Appearance: In essence, K’rin has reddish-brown hair and steely blue eyes and is 6’1” in height. NOW, cue excessively length description. =)
K'rin is fairly lanky guy, all in all, having only recently in the past couple of turns developed enough muscles to fill out his frame, just about. The last time he checked, K'rin stood at 6’1“. This height appears to be mainly due his noticeably long legs and his long, slender neck (Not that his torso appears to be short in comparison). It is primarily due to his long neck that K'rin has developed a certain fondness for wearing high collared shirts, though the colour and how vibrant a tone varies greatly these are tend to reflect his initial mood when getting dressed. However, no matter hard dark a mood he’s in when he wakes, one will almost certainly never find K'rin wearing greys or blacks. It’s not that he dislikes them, just that he tends to forget about them. K'rin is, at times, possibly under weight but is generally about average for height, with his weight tending to fluctuate between 10 and 11 stone. As he grows and his muscles develop, his average weight is likely to increase, or so he likes to hope as he greatly dislikes being quite so skinny. Along the outside of his lower left leg there is a long, pale scar which is clearly in need of more time for heal. This extra bit of decoration we gleaned from a brief encounter with a young brown that K'rin is unlikely to forget for a long while.
His skin is lightly tanned, and there is a light smattering of freckles across his nose, upper cheeks and forehead. During the winter, these all but fade into obscurity but come back with a vengeance if K'rin spends any amount of time in the bright sun once the warmer seasons return. When he smiles, K'rin gets small dimples in his cheeks. Also there is slight gap between his two front teeth which, when he notices it, bugs him greatly but he tends to promptly forget about it again and is generally not distinct enough to gain notice from others.
K'rin’s eyes are steel blue-grey in colour and almond in shape. Depending on the lighting conditions, they can appear anywhere between a cloudy grey colour and a deepish blue. If truth be told, K'rin has a slight astigmatism in his left eye which, while not affecting his everyday life, does occasionally cause him to fatigue slightly quicker then others or get headaches from time to time. However, his male pride usually leads to his refusing to admit that there could possibly be a problem and opts to work through it all, even if it has a negative affect on his mood and leaves him somewhat more worn out than others by the end of the day.
A shaggy russet mess would be the most accurate way in which to describe K'rin’s hair. It’s a good few inches long all over with the exception of the fringe which he felt the need to cut shorter because it kept always falling into his eyes. It is reasonably thick with a very slight curl which leads to tufts to frequently flick out. Due to it’s wholly unmanageable nature, he usually leaves in it’s tousled, ‘just-got-out-of-bed’ state unless it is truly terrible or there is some special occasion for which he will make an effort to at least tame it; for a short while at the very least. In colour, it is a light chestnutty brown which tends to appear more red in bright light.
Personality: K’rin is of average intelligence, not especially bright, sharp or quick but on the flip side he isn’t exactly dumb. He can grasp concepts and ideas well but academics aren’t his speciality. Especially areas such as maths. He has difficult with much more past the basics with these more technical areas of learning. K'rin does have a certain love of words though and this has led him to at least be highly articulate even if he isn’t witty or exceptional.
His strongest area possibly lies with people. K'rin can usually read people pretty well and can handle most social situations well. K'rin can be fairly bossy, when decisions need to be made or something needs to be done, he likes to have complete control and can get pretty terse if others don’t do things his way. This doesn’t apply to every situation however. There are times where he is completely indifferent to the outcome and will simply follow someone else’s lead and does as he’s told. This can be attributed to K'rin’s terribly capricious and whimsical nature. This is why he has never held down a single job for any length of time in his youth.
Though when one has his attention then he will knuckled down, learn everything he can about it and do it to the best of his ability. Unfortunately for his employers, once he has mastered the tasks set to him it doesn’t take long for his mind to wander and for him to grow bored and move on. K’rin is easily distracted and is a little prone to day dreaming and procrastination.
This sort of attitude also extends to his romantic interests. He views people sort of like toys, but only when he’s romantically interested in them. They’re all new and shiny but once his curiosity is sated then he becomes bored and disinterested and moves on, usually remaining on friendly terms with them if possible. With his friends however, he is a lot more consistent. K'rin will bend over backwards to help them at any time of day and has been known to lose sleep over worrying about them.
Despite his generally flaky demeanour, K'rin can be relied upon when the chips are down or something is important. The main reason that this more reliable and serious side of him has taken something of a back seat is because there have been very few occasions thus far in his life that required him to be thus. His mother always put it down to his age so as he gets older and matures he will likely become more dependable too, or at least that is what his mother hopes.
On the whole, K'rin is a pretty cheery and optimistic chap, if somewhat amoral. For example he is not opposed to stealing when he feels it is justifiable. He also has a bit of a tendency of arguing when he’s bored, pretty much just for the sake of it. He doesn’t necessarily have to believe the stance he takes in order to argue its case, it’s just simply… because he can and he finds it generally quite interesting and amusing.
Despite all this generally upbeat and carefree behaviour, K'rin does have a quiet and somewhat sullen side. Because of its lack of prominence in his life, many of his friends and acquaintances haven’t noticed its existence. Its only those who are very close to him or his family who know this part of him. If he lets himself think too much then his thoughts can quickly turn more maudlin topics and K'rin will find himself brooding and worrying over the silliest things sometimes. He hates this part of himself which is why he hides it so.
Even so, there are times when K'rin loves his alone time, usually at around dusk or dawn when the air is cool and people aren’t as active as they would be at midday. So, in essence, K'rin is the sort of person who likes to live life to the fullest and will find enjoyment in most things but has a quiet and responsible side which needs a bit of refining and possibly needs to be brought more to foreground a little more often.
History: Kirin was born into a large and crowded family who lived in Ruatha Hold for several generations. He had four older siblings (3 brothers, one sister) when he was born into the world and over the next couple of turns he ended up with another two sisters. His parents obviously were very busy people. He grew up in a large house, or rather two houses that were next to each and had been connected to one another long ago, which he shared with his parents and siblings, grandparents and his uncles comparably small family (They only had two daughters). It was safe to say it was a fairly cramped up-bringing and one which lacked privacy almost completely. The house was always full of noise and activity as people came and went, bickered and argued, and what ever else it was that went on in such a close-knit, tightly packed family like theirs.
Kirin's father was a blacksmith, as was his uncle and they worked together to run their business with the aid of Kirin's two eldest brothers. They were known for using many traditional methods as possible and their high quality merchandise. While smithing was the primary source of income for the family, the elder females of the family also did their part to earn by either weaving or working at the Lord holders place to add some additional income to the household pot.
Due to all this chaos, Kirin had little time with his parents; although they did still try and attempted to find time to spend with all of their children individually when they were little. However, as Kirin grew older, tensions between him and his father grew as his was the most effeminate and unruly of all the sons, showing absolutely no interest in being a blacksmith or any other kind of 'proper' work as his father liked to put it. Their personalities were diametrically opposed, or so Kirin liked to believe as his father was all about what’s proper and right and practical. A part of Kirin had always dreamed of going to Harper hall, or even becoming a Dragonrider. If his father ever heard such silly talk it would often result in a clout round the ear and a lecture about how he should do something useful with his life and not waste it on frivolous day-dreams.
All of this culminated in Kirin spending vast amounts of time exploring the hold and the surrounding country-side, doing odd jobs for anyone who needed them and socialising with the other youths of the hold. He quickly became the most sociable of all of siblings, most likely due to his being far less family orientated than the rest of them. Now while his parents did not approve of all his coming and goings, they realised that there was little they could do about it, not to mention they were very busy as it was (as he was about 13 turns at this point and stubborn to boot) so they made a deal with him, that as long as he managed to contribute a certain amount of money a week to the house hold, he was free to do as he pleased which was more freedom than any of his brothers and sisters got, not that they especially wanted it. He leapt at the offer most eagerly and from then on only returned home to eat and sleep. At no point did he settle on one permanent job or trade, preferring to do odd jobs to earn his keep, becoming a Jack of all trades. If that didn’t seem likely to yield enough money, he would resort to pick pocketing the visitors and traders who passed through the hold on a regular basis. Only once did Kirin get caught and he learnt to never be so complacent again from the hiding his father gave him once he’d heard about his sons wrong doing. Kirin had a pretty wild turn or so, doing as he pleased with his friends in the hold and having a few light-hearted flings with who ever took his fancy and reciprocated his lustful feelings. It was fun and he didn’t have a care in the world.
And then his friends began to disappear one by one, dispersing into the world and settling down, either getting married or properly learning a honest trade or both more often than not. Kirin was one of the most resistant to this, he loved the life that he had cultivated for himself but as the time passed he began to calm down though was still reluctant to admit the truth in his fathers words. By the time he was sixteen, there was only a few of his friends left and they didn’t seem like they would be around for much longer either.
It was a chance meeting with a Dragon rider that changed everything for Kirin. One evening after a days work with the local Cooper Kirin bumped into said Rider, most literarily. The man, a Brown rider named C’lix, was knocked off his feet. In the ensuing conversation, the soft spoken C’lix was berated for information about the Weyrs and Dragons which all resulted in Kirin meeting the Riders Brown, Cresanth. Kirin was instantly infatuated with the creature. Everything from the supple leathery hide to the multifaceted eyes drew him in and filled him with awe. Now more than ever Kirin felt inspired to try to Impress. Before long, C’lix informed Kirin that he must depart and with longing the boy watched Cresanth take off and then vanish between. His stomach felt tight with anticipation and excitement. There was no doubt in his mind that he had to go to Fort Weyr. Shards, any Weyr would do.
That night there was an almighty ruckus at Kirin’s home. His father was absolutely furious. Most of the family had the sense to either watch silently or find something else to do somewhere else. All the pent up anger and frustration his father felt for his ‘good for nothing’ son all came tumbling out. He simply could not believe that one of his offspring really intended to fritter away their life on futile dreams. Kirin stubbornly stood his ground until it looked like it was about to get physical. It was then that his mother made her move. With a quick, sharp slap she quietly told him to leave. This probably hurt Kirin more than anything his father said or would have done. A small part of him knew that she just wished to save him pain at his fathers hands and that she hated to see them fight. He also knew that she was just as disappointed in his life choices. So with that he threw his scant belongs into a sack and left home, vowing to himself never to return home until he impressed.
It was a long, tiring journey to Fort, and lonesome too. With only himself for company for the most part, Kirin started to doubt his choice; he knew he was close to the age limit for standing at a hatching, that he might not be suitable, that he might never impress. But he couldn’t turn back now. He wouldn’t be able to face his family if he did. So it was with stubborn determination and trepidation that he made his way to the Weyr.
It took him longer than he anticipated to traverse the terrain and he was filled with elation when he finally arrived; he longed for company and a good meal. After talking to several people he was finally permitted to stay and stand at the coming hatching which was due a few days after his arrival. Here Kirin’s confidence was badly knocked. Not only did he fail to impress, he came away from the experience with a bloody leg from when a brown had run into him, knocking him onto the hot sands and catching his leg with one of its sharp claws as it rushed to the boy it had chosen. His first experience on the sands did not leave him happy memories but after that he managed to fit in well enough, swiftly learning the ways of the Weyr and regaining his confidence. It wasn’t until two turns later, when Kirin was 18 did his fortunes change after many a prior mishap on the sands. Kirin knew that he did not have too many chances left to impress but he did not let that get him down. His dragon just hadn’t come into being yet, that was all. Some of the others who had failed to impress got so… depressed about it . Kirin did his best to remain optimistic the whole time, of course he had some down days and some doubts and never once spoke to his family during this time period. Fortunately for him, one day during his 18th turn alive, Nynth came into the world. The anxiety of the whole experience was lessened for Kirin as Nynth decided to grace him with her presence early on in the hatching so he had had to endure but a short portion of the event.
K’rin and Nynth passed their time as weyrlings with little fuss. They did well enough in lessons, adapted to each others and Nynth grew into a health, albeit small, adult dragon. K’rin could hardly believe how he had managed to live before without this glorious other being who made him complete. If only his father knew what this felt like, then surely, surely he would not have scorned the Riders so much. Since impressing, K’rin had resumed communications with his family to find out that while his father only admitted to a grudging respect for his youngest son, his mother had been telling everyone she knew about her son the dragon rider.
Once they’d graduated from Weyrlings to fully fledged riders, K’rin and Nynth quickly settled into life as a wing rider. Over the years K’rin has had his fair share of Weyrmates as is to be expected as the rider of Green but he has yet to form a terribly strong attachment to any of the people in Fort, or the place itself in fact. Oh he had a certain fondness for many people he had come to know well and his surroundings but now… Now K’rin was bored with the everyday Fort life that he had grown accustomed to so when he heard about possible transfers to a small Weyr on the southern continent, K’rin leapt at the opportunity.

Her hair often covers her face because it's so long. Her whole body looks like a scrawny rag, because she has been hit by thousands of snowstorms. She loves the outdoors, so she lived in it for a few turns. Her legs and arms are muscled from doing such work as a child. She keeps hair to just below her earlobes because she’s a dragon rider now. She is very devoted to her chosen and does not pull pranks. She is extremely kind to all other beings. She is kind and considerate unless you harm her rider. Then she becomes all teeth and claws. And she loves to flaunt herself when she’s close to rising. She is very amorous and isn’t picky when choosing a winner for her flight.

Name: Awerah ( A - Where - Uh ) Age: 28 Gender: Female Sexuality: Heterosexual Rank: Wingrider Appearance: Awerah's most noteable features, perhaps, is her very long dark hair. The hair is of a silky nature that falls beyond her shoulders. She usually keeps it out and doesn't put it up. Matching her long, dark hair is her dark eyebrows and long dark eyelashes. The eyebrows give her expressions more pop while the eyelashes easily draw in any heterosexual male. Beneath those pretty lashes are chestnut brown eyes that you could easily get lost in. Her nose is a bit long and comes to a slight point while beneath lies a pearly white smile framed by pretty pink lips. Her face is long and oval, rather than short and round. Down her slender neck and in the middle of her curvy chest is a necklace she refuses not to wear at all hours of the day. Standing at 5'11, she's at around an average height, if not only slightly on the tall side. Bringing out and emphasizing her height is her curveous form that she'll use to drive the guys wild. Light blues and blacks, and greys are her favorite colors to wear, but occassionaly she can be found in various shades of green. Personality: Awerah has always been something of a tom boy. As a little girl, she was always the fiery little girl that would pound in any boy's face if they messed with her or her buddies. She has still retained some of this attitude into adulthood. She does not fear to throw down or rough house with the boys. She is very social, however, and very straightforward. Coupled with this is a blunt honesty that she often has a problem cutting off when she needs to. Yet combined with this is an undeniable flirtatious attitude. She will flirt with any guy, yet at the same time no guy can ever tell if she actually likes them or not. In her own way, Awerah is quite a confusing lady. However, despite seeming to play the easy whore card so often, she hasn't really gone all the way with any guy that wasn't involving a flight. She can be quite a tease and usually leaves a guy wanting more. In some ways she can seem ignorant and naive, but she's really a pretty smart gal in her own right. Yet no one can deny the girl has her inner child and refuses to let go of her. While some would get annoyed with this, others find this an endearing quality about her. History: Awerah was born in Dark Moon weyr, in all actuality. A weyr baby, Dark Moon is her home and her life. Perhaps it's because of this fact that she's sweeter on weyrbrats than most in the weyr. Though it wasn't typical of a dragonrider, she had decided awhile back that if she ever birthed a child of her own, she'd keep it and raise the baby herself, whether the father would be involved or not. But let's get away from the present and look to the past yet again! Awerah was the lovechild of a female greenrider and her trist with a young male weyrfolk. Awerah doesn't know much of her mother beyond the fact some people have commented how similiar her personality is to her mother's, mostly her flirtatious ways. Her father had died not too long after she was born for some unknown medical reason. Awerah never knew what it was that had killed her father, but all she did know was that it was something medical-wise. Secretly she has feared getting sick since hearing the story. So Awerah was raised with other weyrbrats, and she was possibly the one to cause the most trouble. As a little girl, she had yet to discover boys. Instead, she beat them every time she thought one of them did something wrong. She was considered a rough and tumble kind of gal, a real tom boy. It didn't take her long to be considered one of the boys. It lent to her not discovering boys for quite some time. When she hit 14, the girl started to develop and blossom. The reaction she was starting to get from those same boys that treated her like one of the guys was now confusing to her. She didn't really get it. At that time, she had been standing at every hatching to try and impress, but she didn't luck out to begin with. It wasn't until she was 16 that she finally impressed to her green Sereth. Much of her weyrlinghood involved being weirded out by guys and trying to figure them out while trying to become a full fledged dragonrider. Mostly from encouragement by her fellow female weyrlings, she finally picked up on flirting with boys to get what she wanted as opposed to beating them to a bloody pulp to make them listen. She learned it was quicker, easier, and didn't involve hurting her fists until a guy's face broke. By Sereth's first flight, Awerah was at the age of 18. She hadn't been 18 long before Sereth rose to mate. The first to catch her was an annoying bluerider by the name of P'war. The man was considerably older than her at age 27 and treated her like a captured prize and a piece of meat more than anything. Needless to say Awerah went back to what she was familiar with, decked him in the face, and she never heard a word from him or saw him since. Since her first flight, Awerah started to become disenchanted when it came to men. Flights since then, other males had won but they weren't all that memorable. Some stuck around longer than others, but the all eventually got washed away by time. But by the time she was 24, Awerah was swept away by a guy she thought was quite remarkable. K'tar of brown Hithorth won the flight when Awerah was age 24, and he proved her previous ideas on guys were all wrong. The man was honest, sweet, and could charm when he wanted. If ever Awerah thought there was such a thing called love, she figured her and K'tar had it. Flights since then were won by Hithorth and K'tar and the two seemed unseperable. Once again, Awerah was so enchanted that she thought this feeling would never end. That was, until the weyr discovered timing. When the news reached her of K'tar and Hithorth's passing while timing it, Awerah seemed to break into a thousand pieces as she collapsed on the floor of her weyr and cried the entire night. It took Awerah awhile to become stable and open again, though she still feels that hurt from the loss of K'tar, someone she considered her true love. However, the girl of 28 is once again back to her old ways. Teasing, flirting, and straightforward as ever, many would believe that Awerah is back to normal and over her mourning. However, it's still debateable if all that is true. Pets: N/A Dragon/Wher: Sereth Dragon/Wher Appearance: Sereth is a small green dragon with a wingspan that seems a bit long for her body. She's rather lean and tiny. Her color is a light, nearly lime, green with a shine to it. Her underbelly and wings have a much darker shade, however. Which is sort of odd, considering many dragons' colors are lighter on their underbelly and on the underside of their wings. Dragon/Wher Personality: Sereth is as flirty, if not moreso, as her rider, Awerah. The green refuses to take no for an answer and refuses to accept she's a rather small green with a coloring that makes her easily noticeable. Sereth, however, does refuse to believe she is like other dragons, specifically other green dragons. She demands that anyone and everyone accept that she is a unique dragon unto her species and color. Most will agree simply to get her to calm down or be silent. The green has a pride that's unlike most greens, only except when it comes to the dragon's appearance.
