WORK IN PROGRESS THANKS TO ACCIDENTAL DELETION OF CHARACTER BOARD Name: Rhia (Rhianna) Age: 23 Turns Gender: female Rank: Weyrlingmaster/CandidateMaster Appearance: Rhia is not the tallest rider around. She would stand around 5'3 according to Terran standards. She could never be described as slender. Her figure is curvy, a classical hourglass figure. Her waist is small but her hips and bust are decidedly wider than her waist. She is stocky and muscular rather than slender. She has a thick mass of wavy auburn hair that falls to the middle of her shoulder blades with spiral curls. Her eyes are a startling grey that more than make up for the fact that she doesn't have the long lashes that she would like. Her face is slightly oval shaped with rounded cheeks, a small nose that fits her small face, and full lips that would like to smile more. Her lips thin when she is angry or stern because she presses her lips together. She has small hands and feet and she was often clumsy as a child. She's grown into her figure now after Turns of hard work chasing after her dragon and her students. She has a muscular grace now but it was not always so. She has worked off the result of her children's birth but she rarely wears clothing that will show her midriff because of the stretch marks. Personality: Rhia is another one who is mature beyond her Turns. She is caring, but often gruff and stern with her students because she doesn't want them to walk all over her. She is a small woman, but she carries herself proudly, and commands respect from all but her closest friends. She is known as being a strong-willed woman with a temper to match the red glints in her brown hair. She is feisty and sharp tongued. Rhia hides a soft heart behind her sharp words, but any who knows her can see behind her tough-woman facade. She worries about her friends and pupils and will work herself to the bone to help them. That is why she wound up with both the Candidate Master and the Weyrlingmaster position though there is a search for someone to take the Candidate Master position from her. She laughs easily, and seldom holds a grudge. She dislikes and distrusts renegades and the holdless because of a renegade attack on the weyr a few turns ago that left her injured and several dead. History:Rhia's parents bred runners. They had excellent stock that was quick and sturdy and very comfortable for riding around the land. They lived an hour or two's ride away from the closest hold and their neighbors were about a twenty minute runner ride away. Rhia received beast healing training from a local beast healer, because her family didn't want to have to pay for a healer every time one of their animals became ill. She loved runners, and even worked off the price of a runner that caught her fancy, though her family would have given it to her free. She named the runner Ghost, for the silvery tint to his dappled grey hide. He reminded her of the ghostly meteorites that graced Pern's skies at Turnover that were nicknamed the Ghosts. One day, she traveled to a hold that was a few day's ride away to bring medication to a sick family friend and to help with the birthing of their heardbeast calf. When she returned and passed through the hold, she was stopped. The Holder told her that there had been a terrible bout of the plague. Several houses had been struck, her family's included. A visitor had unknowingly brought it with him. The entire family had fallen victim. The young woman was devastated. She was allowed into the house to pack a few belongings that could be boiled and sterilized. She gave her father's stock to the holder, knowing he would take care of them. The house was burned, and Rhia left with Ghost, and a few changes of clothes and precious belongings. She declined the Holder's offer to remain in the main holding, where she was respected and loved. She was even offered a betrothal with one of the lads, but she couldn't stay somewhere so close to where her entire family had been killed in one fell swoop by illness. The holder told her that she would have fallen victim if she had stayed or returned sooner, but she partially blames herself for not being there to nurse them. She fled on her runner and arrived, sick, hungry and lost on the outskirts of Dark Moon Weyr. A rider found her and brought her in. She took a while to heal from her grief but eventually she found her place in the runner stables attached to the Weyr. She was Searched for the old Queen's last clutch and Impressed brown Mneith. She and the other riders helped build Dark Moon up after the old Queen and most of the older riders died off. Now she is Weyrlingmaster and Candidatemaster until someone else can be trained for the second position. She has twin children Rehan and Giana after a brief affair with a bronzerider in the Weyr G'han of bronze Gerenanth. She takes her brown from the weyr when she can for flights because she is a female rider on a male dragon and she doesn't like the idea of having sexual relations with one of her friends. Dragon: Brown Mneith Age: 4 Turns Dragon Appearance: The largest brown in the weyr, he is the size of a small bronze. He has a deep chocolate hide with slightly darker edges around his neck ridge. He is massive, with a thick chest and sturdy legs. He easily dwarfs the smallest bronze in the weyr. He has lost some of his agility due to his size, but not much. He and his rider train diligently and he loves to work with the young dragonets of the weyr. Dragon Personality: Mneith is somewhat laid back. He can be stern if need be but he enjoys his fun. He was the dragonet who got covered in flour during his Weyrling days and he also got stuck in the opening of the Weyrling barracks because he and the other dragons weren't ready to graduate from Weyrlinghood with all the stress they caused the old Weyrlingmaster. He is the reason behind the cracks in the doorway. He loves to joke and play tricks on his rider from time to time but he rarely gets to do so because of his rider's position as Weyrlingmaster and Candidate Master. He adores his rider's hatchlings as he calls her twins. His best friend is Ebbeth. He shows respect for his Queen but will joke with her because they were hatchlings together. Children: Weyrbrats Rehan and Giana, sired by Wingleader G'han of bronze Gerenanth Pets: Green flitt Gylfie Gylfie is a tiny creature with delicate bones and figure. She is long and slender. Her hide is a pale, silvery green, like the underside of a pale leaf. She is a cheerful creature with high energy and flirty ways. Runner Ghost Ghost is a silver-toned dapple grey runner, tall and well muscled. He has put on some weight due to the fact that he is stabled and only briefly exercised in the morning. He is one of the few runners who barely tolerates dragons due to the turns he has lived in the Weyr. He has a tendency to bite or kick people he dislikes and he doesn't like most of the drudges who work in the stable. He is swift, and somewhat unruly with any other rider on his back but Rhia. He is completely gentle with her children, and will not harm them. He doesn't hesitate to dump his rider, even Rhia, when spooked, and he will trample any tunnel snake that comes near.

(He's my pitiful attempt at drawing Sh'rel. I didn't draw any of his scars... I fail at that) Name: Sh’rel Age: 22 turns Gender: Male Rank: Brownrider (wingrider) Dragon: Rolaranth Dragon Appearance: Rolaranth is a large brown dragon, the size of a smaller full grown bronze dragon in fact. His size somewhat hinders his maneuverability but not too much (he was never going to be able to dart like a lithe green anyway). The brown’s wings look a bit too big for his size, as if he should have grown more. The large wings help rather than hamper the young dragon though, especially when taking off. Rolaranth is a dark chocolate brown color with the tip of his tail and eye ridges being an almost black. Dragon Personality: Rolaranth is always looking after his rider. It is usually Sh’rel with the rash ideas and Rolaranth is the one trying to talk him out of it. Sh’rel has a bit of a drinking problem and that worries Rolaranth who always harps on the young rider if he begins to drink. The brown dragon is not much of a joker though he will sometimes surprise his rider with a sarcastic comment or two. Appearance: Sh’rel has light brown almost blonde hair that has natural light highlights from being out in the sun. His hair is just long enough to be pulled into a tiny runnertail (about two inches) and often falls out of the wherhide tie. He is fairly tan and usually will not burn unless out in the harsh sun in the South Continent or the Deserts. He's not in the best shape as some of the other dragonriders, no rockhard abs but neither does he have a beer belly. He has some scars upon his face from fighting in the past, one across his chin, one under his right eye and one through his left eyebrow all are faded and several turns old. Sh’rel’s eyes are bright green and he has a boyish smile. The young man often has a scruffy beard, as he is frequently too lazy to shave. He stands at almost six foot. Personality: Sh’rel is generally a laid back guy. He is not quick to anger, unless under the influence, which is often enough and is the cause of some of his scars. The Brownrider does not think about the future but focuses on the here and now. What can he do now that would help enjoy this time more? He is easily bored by a strict schedule and likes to switch up what he does. Sh’rel is definitely not a leader but a follower. He is a team player and goes with flow and tries not to cause too many problems. Perhaps once he learns how to control himself he might make a credible Wing Second in the future. Though he likes to see everyone happy so he would probably not be able to discipline anyone. Sh’rel enjoys meeting new people. He tries and usually finds the good in everyone and in every situation. The young man loves to have fun and often acts younger than he actually is. Sh’rel does have a bit of a drinking problem, however, he loves wine, beer, and mead and usually if he starts drinking ends up drinking too much. It is not a way of “drowning his sorrows” but he just does not pay attention to exactly how much he consumes especially at a feast or Gather. The Brownrider has sworn off the drink several times but that never lasts long. Others often see him as boastful or rash (especially after downing a pint or two). He is not the smartest glow in the basket but he loves learning new things. Not by reading, but by watching and trying to do it himself. As a kid, he could not bear to sit still while the Harper was teaching the Teaching Ballads. He was and is pretty easily distracted but given an important task, and reminded of it's importance, he will see that it gets done. History: Sh’rel is the son of a green and a blue rider. The two did not stay together after the flight but Sh’rel was the result of said flight. He grew up in Fort Weyr and lived there all his life. He has many half brothers and sisters he is closest with his green rider half-brother Sh’ham. Growing up in the Weyr he was fostered to some of the women who worked in the lower caverns and never got very close to either of his parents. Sh’rel stood at four hatchings before he impressed Rolaranth, he was beginning to lose hope as he had just turned 17 turns the week before and would not be able to stand at too many more hatchings. Rolaranth and Sh’rel made it through Weyrling lessons without too much difficulty, Sh’rel was snapped at many times to pay attention as the lessons became quite repetitive though. The rules that the Weyrlings had to follow were a little hard on him. Not the “no sex” part but the “no alcohol” part. He had discovered the joys of alcohol the turn before he impressed and that was hard to give up. There was a lot of celebrating the night of his Weyrling Class’s graduation and needless to say he did not get up early the next day. It has been five turns since Sh’rel had impressed and he is getting quite bored of life in Fort Weyr and feels like he is not needed there. That is why he looked to transfer to a new Weyr. While at a Gather he met Akki and learned of the small Dark Moon Weyr and figured that would be the place he would transfer to. Since being at Dark Moon Weyr he and Rolaranth won their first flight by catching Sorcha's moonstreak Lirlith, seen a Hatching upon the sands, weathered the Hurricane, helped clean up afterwards and attended the Masque. The brownrider certainly does enjoy getting involved in the events at Dark Moon Weyr.

Name: T'ren formerly Tairen (Tie-ren) Age: 19 turns Gender: male Position: Wingrider Personality: Tairen is an easy going guy with a wicked sense of humor. He enjoys playing harmless pranks but becomes instantly chagrined if someone gets hurt. He tries to act gallantly around the ladies, pulling out chairs for them with an extravagant bow. He has a quick temper and is rather impulsive. He seems flighty, but also has a serious side. When given a responsibility, he jokes around, but always gets the job done. He is very observant, but sometimes careless with his remarks. He always says the first thing that comes to his mind, and that sometimes gets him into trouble. He enjoys playing pranks and has a wicked sense of humor. He was often in trouble with the Weyrlingmaster at Eteii for pulling pranks. Appearence: He is a rather tall young man, around 6 ft tall. He is slender with a strong frame. He has a shock of bright red hair and his eyes are hazel with flecks of amber in them. His long fingers are ideal for tying a quick knot or playing an instrument. He awkward looking, but graceful. He is still growing and slowly filling out like his father did. He is strong and agile but gets seasick in rough waters. His skin is somewhat pale and his hair is always sticking up, giving the illusion of flames. His nose and cheekbones are liberally sprinkled with freckles that only become more pronounced because he spends a lot of time in the sun. He learned the hard way that he needs to keep lotion on to prevent his skin from burning in the intense Southern sun. Roleplay Sample: The color drained from Tairen's face as his father told him that he would be going on the next fishing trip. He had been violently seasick the last time. His mother gave him a sympathetic glance as his younger sister danced around him with glee. "Tairen's gonna be si-ick. Tairen's gonna be si-ick." She chanted over and over again. Tairen growled under his breath. "You're gonna pay for that Kislen." He told her. His sister should have been the boy. She was good at sailing, but all she had to do was women's work. History: He grew up in a seaside hold. His father was a mate on a fishing ship and soon rose to Captain. He became a deckhand at age thirteen, but was not a good seaman. His father was exasperated with him and set him to mending nets. He was about to go on another fishing voyage when a Search dragon arrived. He transferred to the weyr with considerable relief. He was not cut out to be a sailor. He was VERY prone to seasickness. His sister, Kislen was a great sailor but his father did not want to take her out on the boat because he believed it was no place for a woman. After Tairen left he let her on the ships and she became a mate on another ship. He went to a small weyr in the Southern Continent called Eteii Weyr. He was supposed to wait until the next Hatching because he arrived only a couple of days before the Hatching but as he was sitting in the stands, he got knocked over by a brown ball of hide creeling for him to feed him. He was just as shocked as the rest of the spectators because the dragonet had climbed several tiers up to come to him. He carried the brown who called himself Danaeth because the dragonet was exhausted after his climb to find his chosen. He kept his Impression a secret from his parents until the brown was able to fly so he could see them himself. Before he was able to go visit his family, disaster struck the Weyr he was from. A few Turns after his dragon's hatching, Eteii was decimated by plague and the surviving riders were quarantined and then sent out to various other weyrs because the weyr was unable to survive with all of the riders it lost. T'ren was saddened by the loss but he hopes to start anew at Dark Moon. ((Future: After a few months at Dark Moon he finally returns home to visit his parents. His sister announced her impending marriage and his mother surprised him with the fact that he would soon have a baby brother. His parents were overjoyed when they found out about his brown.)) Dragon: Danaeth Dragon Appearance: Danaeth has a brown that is a few deep, russet brown. His underbelly is lighter and his neck ridges are slightly darker but the rest of his hide has an even tone to it. He is slightly larger than an average sized brown and well-built. He and his rider love to do trick riding and he is extremely agile for a brown. He has a large pale brown patch over one eye that gives him a very comical look. Dragon Personality: Danaeth is just as much of a mischief maker as his rider is. He loves to pull pranks on his rider and those that he views as friends. He is a friendly dragon and very much a flirt with the ladies. He has participated in several flights but never won any because of the competition's experience. He knows how to be serious but he rarely shows it and he can always be counted on to reduce the tension of a serious situation.

Name: R’fael (Refael) Age: Twenty four Turns Gender: Male Rank: Brownrider Appearance: R’fael is tall, standing about 6’3” when he isn’t wearing his boots. His shoulders are broad, giving the impression of even more height, especially when compared with his long legs and rather narrow hips. His skin is a beautiful, soft, faded golden color that’s vibrant with life. He’s muscled, but not overly so. He has well-developed arms and abdominals, as well as chest. While they’re not overt, they’re noticeable, enough so that the casual observer would know that he’s worked in his life. His face is rather gorgeous in some eyes and plain in others. His nose is long and straight, his lips rather large but sensual. His eyes dominate his face more than anything—they’re large and dark, the color of dark chocolate on Terra. They’re capable of expressing almost any emotion, to the point that some would think they could his mind if they just looked a little deeper. They can also become like closed doors, hiding what he’s feeling. His hair is long and dark, reaching to about mid-neck, an inky black color. He keeps it loose and doing whatever it wishes too or pushes it back, except for the few occasional strands that hang around his face. He’s usually seen with a bit of stubble, as his skin is rather fair. Brows are dark and expressive in his face. He likes to wear simple clothes but with a fair bit of taste. He likes blacks, rich blues, purples, browns, greens and other colors. He’s known for wearing well-fitted clothes that emphasize his musculature as well as some bits of jewelry or ornaments—hemp necklaces, woven cloth bracelets and other bits and pieces. His hands are rough and callused from hard work, with many scars and nicks perforating their surfaces. He also has a rather large and bumpy scar on his leg from an accident with a scythe. He has another on his right arm just below the elbow from when he got bit by a sneaky heardbeast who didn’t want to go in for the slaughter. It causes him slight pain just as it’s about to rain. Personality: He’s an emotional man and admits it. His emotions run deep, so it’s hard not to. When he loves, he loves with all his being. Hate is equally so. He generally believes the best in people, but when shown enough evidence, he’s willing to change that opinion. He believes people should always try to be their best and is rather saddened when people fall short of their own potential. He’s very easy going, with a temper like a wildcat that he has a very wary hold upon. It’s proven to be precarious in the past. He doesn’t like being angry, because he believes it clouds the judgment and can lead to instances people don’t like. He watches out for his own and will usually leave when he feels like his anger is getting out of control. While thought to be serious, he’s actually very fun-loving and wherryheaded. He enjoys a good joke and great company. He’s not afraid of people and welcomes them, opening arms and weyr easily for most. After all, he trusts until shown that trust is misplaced. For all of that, he can be cautious and serious when the circumstances call for it. He believes he’s made of brown material through and through. He doesn’t want nor relishes leadership roles. He thinks there’s much better people qualified. He’d much rather stay in the background and arrange things from there rather than be out in the open. Part of this stems from the fear of making mistakes, but much of it is from himself. He doesn’t like being so openly in charge and powerful. He’d much rather be the scene designer than the lead role. History: He was born and raised, for the most part, in Kalanre Hold. He and his family grew a portion of the tithes that went to Dark Moon Weyr, just as all of the families within the hold did. He and his family primarily grew wheat, corn and raised herdbeasts for the slaughter. He lived a nice and normal life growing up, with a stable family. He had his two parents, two brothers and a sister, as well as a large and close-knit extended family It wasn’t until he was about fifteen that he had any problems. He fell very, very deeply in love with a girl who lived close by, as was his nature. This wasn’t a good thing, because her family had been in marriage talks with another family and the girl liked Refael better than she had her prospective husband. When she flat-out refused to marry her betrothed, her family grew angry and went after his. They threatened Refael, her brothers knocked him around and then, finally…they burnt down his family’s entire crop. The family was devastated. They had no food, no money and no prospects, because the girl’s family ended up turning a good part of the hold against them. Their only choice was to move to Caspian Hold, where no one was happy. They missed their former home, their friends and their ties there. Eventually, everyone but Refael’s parents ended up turning against him. He escaped, when he was seventeen, by being Searched. Everyone was shocked and most had their reservations. While Refael was a hard worker and diligent, with the events that had happened his siblings and much of his extended family didn’t consider him worthy of being a rider, especially to a place such as Dark Moon which was, of course, the best of all the Weyrs in Pern. But Refael went and shocked them even more by becoming R’fael—bonded of Keirath. He’s been a part of Dark Moon ever since, in some ways integral, but only behind the scenes. Both he and Keirath like it that way. As weyrlings, the brown pair were within the top three of their class consistently, except for breathing firestone. They had to work at that a bit harder than they were used to, and it was a good experience for them. You don't always get what you want. It humbled the both of them. They've had a few weyrmates throughout their time, about six or seven or so. Though they have not seriously fallen for anyone, they've had a weyrmate about once every turn. R'fael was, however, seriously involved with a girl from the kitchens by name of Lorei. However, he broke it off when he found she was pregnant with another man's child. They've done little in the foreground of the Weyr to be noticed, though they've done quite a bit organizing a few things. They've helped with weyrling classes, with the odd Hatching or two. They've helped in the infirmary and done other things. They're not really spotlight kind of beings, R'fael and Keriath. DragonName: Keirath Age: Seven Turns Color: Brown Appearance: He’s a light brown, almost beige in color, with dark, deeper cocoa undertones. He’s large for a brown, rather large, about thirty four feet, with wings about fifty seven feet across. He’s very elegant and graceful, seeming to dance even when standing still. He has a light nick on his underbelly from an accident and is missing the very tip of his tail, whether as a defect or from another mishap, no one is quite sure. Personality: He’s very laidback and passive, much like most browns. He’s the mediator, the solution maker, though not the decision maker. He’d much rather get scored by Thread than had to go through and make decisions. He can do so when called upon, but would much rather not. He’s a background person, the screws in the wheels that set everything in motion.

Name: full name is Davaraid, but he shortend it to D'vraid, but imagine with black hair.
Age: 24 turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Rank: Assistant Candidate Master and Searcher
Appearance: This male had raven black hair that gave off the small tint of blue whenever the sun and moon hit it just right. his face was almost flawless, the only thing ruining it was a small amount of facial hair that you couldn't even touch because he kept it shaved by using his trusted dagger. He would hit the height of five foot and nine inches and weighs at one hundred sixty-five pounds, with his body being all rock hard and legs like stone.
D'vraid normally wears padded armor; which turns out to only be wherhide, for whenever he is in the Hatching grounds. He does this for the case of having to save a candidate's life. Outside of his regular job he wears a green tunic over white shirt, his pants a dark shade of blue. He is rarely not doing his job though. During feastivals he wears a dark looking outfit with a gold mask.
Personality: D'vraid’s primary mode of living is focused externally, where he deal with things rationally and logically. His secondary mode is internal, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.
D'vraid is a natural born leader. He lives in a world of possibilities where he sees all sort challenges to be surmounted, and he wants to be the one responsible for surmounting them. He has a drive for leadership, which is well-served by his quickness to grasp complexities, his ability to absorb a large amount of impersonal information, and his quick and decisive judgments. He is a "take charge" person.
D'vraid is very career-focused, and fits into the corporate world quite naturally. He is constantly scanning his environment for potential problems which he can turn into solutions. He generally sees things from a long-range perspective, and is usually successful at identifying plans to turn problems around - especially problems of a corporate nature. D'vraid is usually successful in the business world, because he is so driven to leadership. He’s tireless in his efforts on the job, and is driven to visualize where an organization is headed. For these reasons, he is natural corporate leaders.
There is not much room for error in the world of D'vraid. He dislikes seeing mistakes repeated, and has no patience with inefficiency. He may become quite harsh when his patience is tried in these respects, because he is not naturally tuned in to people's feelings, and more than likely doesn't believe that he should tailor his judgments in consideration for people's feelings. D'vraid has difficulty seeing things from outside his own perspective. D'vid naturally has little patience with people who do not see things the same way as he does. D'vid needs to consciously work on recognizing the value of other people's opinions, as well as the value of being sensitive towards people's feelings. In the absence of his awareness, David will be forceful, intimidating and overbearing individual. This may be a real problem for D'vid, who may be deprived of important information and collaboration from others. In his personal world, it can make D'vid overbearing as spouses or parents.
D'vid has a tremendous amount of personal power and presence which will work for him as a force towards achieving his goals. However, this personal power is also an agent of alienation and self-aggrandizement, which D'vid would do well to avoid.
D'vid is very forceful, decisive individuals. He makes decisions quickly, and is quick to verbalize his opinions and decisions to the rest of the world. D'vid may have brilliant ideas and insight into situations, but he may also have little skill at determining how to act upon his understanding, or his actions may be inconsistent. D'vid has developed in a generally less than ideal way may become dictatorial and abrasive - intrusively giving orders and direction without a sound reason for doing so, and without consideration for the people involved, that is if he doesn’t keep himself in check.
D'vid is not naturally tuned into other people's feelings, but he frequently has a very strong sentimental streak. Often these sentiments are very powerful to D'vid, although he will likely hide it from general knowledge, believing the feelings to be a weakness. Because the world of feelings and values is not where D'vid naturally functions, he may sometimes make value judgments and hold onto submerged emotions which are ill-founded and inappropriate, and will cause him problems - sometimes rather serious problems.
D'vid loves to interact with people. He can be energized and stimulated primarily externally. There's nothing more enjoyable and satisfying to D'vid than having a lively, challenging conversation. He especially respects people who are able to stand up to him, and argues persuasively for their point of view. There aren't too many people who will do so, however, because D'vid has a very forceful and dynamic presence who has a tremendous amount of self-confidence and excellent verbal communication skills. Even the most confident individuals may experience moments of self-doubt when debating a point with D'vid.
D'vid puts a lot of effort and enthusiasm into his relationships. Since his major quest in life is to constantly take in knowledge and turn that into something useful, he will try to turn everything into a learning experience. Within the context of relationships, that means he will constantly seek knowledge and revise the rules and definitions of his relationships. He values his relationships highly, especially those relationships which present him with new challenges and stimulate his learning. Such exchanges promote genuine affection and satisfaction for D'vid. Relationships which do not offer any chances for growth or learning does not hold any interest D'vid. As in other areas of life, D'vid likes to be in charge of his relationships. In conversation, D'vid is very direct and confrontational, and can be highly critical and challenging towards others. People involved in close relationships with David needs to have a good amount of personal strength. For those who do, D'vid has a tremendous amount to offer.
D'vid is not naturally in-tune with the feelings and emotions of his partners. D'vid sometimes does not make the attempt to be aware of others, and to value their feelings and opinions, and thus may find himself in unbalanced relationships, where real communication does not take place. These kinds of situations present a two-edged sword to D'vid. They want to be in charge, but if he becomes so much in charge as to stifle his partners, he will eventually become bored with the relationship.
Romantically, D'vid is robust, imaginative and enthusiastic. His natural instinct to lead will be apparent in this arena as well as other areas of life, and he will lead his partner on creative lovemaking adventures, where the focus is on mutual learning and affection sharing. He's likely to expect romance on a relatively scheduled basis.
D'vid does not usually have a problem with self-confidence and is not especially emotionally needy. Although he enjoys being told that he is loved and appreciated, he doesn't need to hear these types of avowals as often as most other males. If he is partnered with a Feeling type female, he is probably not likely to fulfill his partner's needs for intimate words without conscious effort. Even with effort, David may have problems being aware of other's emotional needs, and he most likely won't understand those needs even if he is aware of them.
D'vid approaches conflict as an opportunity for growth and learning. This is a very healthy outlook in general, but may be a problem in a close relationship with a his girlfriends. David’s tends to be confrontational may be very threatening to a person especially so if they are an intimate partner of the him. In general, David has a lot to offer to his intimate relationships. He's dedicated and enthusiastic, and willing to put forth a lot of effort to make things work out. He takes on responsibility and accountability, and expects to be in charge. His relationship will be one based on mutual respect, constant growth and development.
History: D'vid was born into a family of luxury, well almost. They always had food to eat and things to talk about and to him that is a grand luxury. He was born twenty-seven years ago to a guard captain and his wife who later on told her son that she was once a drudge. At the age of nine he was taken to Benden Weyr and a few weeks later his dragon hatched for him, right on his tenth birthday to be exact. Afterwards D'vid was taught how to fight, live, eat, and even act as a rider. He was a quick learner and soon became looked up to by many other weyrlings.
By the age of 20 he was known through many of the holds and weyrs as a valued weyr rider and friend to many people. By the time he was almost a wingsecond he was asked by his weyr to go to the dark moon weyr and become its assistant Candidate master, thus transferring to a new Weyr. D'vid readily accepted that honor and swiftly left to there.
Now he is at Dark Moon Weyr and waiting for the new batch of candidates along with his new master Rhia. He didn't know much about being a Candidate master at all so he started following Rhia around learning slowly what he was supposed to do as a Candidate master.
Pets: None yet --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dragon/Wher: Brown Baneth
Dragon Age: 14 turns
Dragon Gender: Male
Dragon/Wher Appearance: Baneth is only slightly bigger then the other brown dragons due to the fact he is older, and also he is on par with many bronze dragons. his claws are always grommed by his rider and he is always clean even after a flight he makes sure he has either his rider or himself clean him. ut in a practice fight he doesn't mindgetting dirty.
His hide is of a cocoa colour and the lower belly of him is a light tan brown. Weirdly his horns are not considered much of a mutation at all. His predecessors were mutations and he was considered the least mutated of the batch. His egg was a light tanned brown and yet darker then most at the same time. His wings are a bit more bulky then usual so he can't fly as fast as most browns and bronzes but he doesn't care aout that.
Dragon/Wher Personality: Much akin to his rider Baneth seems at always be constantly thinking of ways to improve himself and his rider. He rarely rests when around the other much younger dragons and has a small superioity complex when around D'vid and only D'vid knows of this. Baneth also rarely chooses to take place in the mating flights.
He loves water and seems to always want to be near it even though he knows its not that nearby at all. Sadly Baneth has to make due with the lack of water around him and thus he's always a little bit irritated.

S’en - Brown - Folth - ex Wingsecond - transferred from Eastern Weyr - Bronze Firelizard Thon
Name: S’en (Sarsen)
Age: 24 Turns
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Rank: Ex Wingsecond, a position both himself and Folth held for several turns, at least 4, If not more unofficially.
Appearance: S’en’s hair is thick, mostly straight mouse brown, with traces of natural highlights from his time on watch. A trait he thinks came from his mother, but its hard to tell as his birth father’s had grown silver with age. His eyes are normal in size, almond in shape, lashes pail in colour, arched over by relatively normal brown brows. The eyes themselves are golden brown, one is slightly more golden than the other, which often isn’t clear unless seen in daylight.
He has a Medium/long, not too gaunt face. His brows aren’t overly heavy, his jaw line straight edged and angular. Here a slightly dusting of a beard can often be seen. His other features are also plain, not handsome but not ugly either. S’en has a medium straight bridged nose, dusting of pale freckles. His mouth is medium, pale dull pink, very non descript like most of his other features.
S’en is a medium/tall, 5’9”, with long fingers and features. Some of his fingers are bent slightly where he’s broken them over the past. His body itself is slim but not lean, with muscles of an athlete but more so in his arms than his legs. His skin is slightly tanned especially on his face and forearms.
His distinctive features: at the left corner of his chin, there’s a thick pale white scar and a second thin one running down his right cheek both gained in duels. On the inside of his left forearm there’s shallow white claw scars running from his elbow, down over his wrist and partially onto his palm. These were gained during Folth’s hatching as he reached out to catch the falling dragonling.
Personality: In his youth he’d always been quiet and respectable, with a slight preference to spend time alone. But that soon changed with him becoming a candidate. At first the mass of girls and boys his own age had made him edgy, uneasy. But it wasn’t long before their open kindness made him switch from the expressionless and guarded lad, to the rider he became. For during the hatching he not only gained a life partner, who supported and cared for him. But he also gained a family, and a big one at that! From then on he was open, happy, and down to earth. Very sociable and supporting to all he knew.
S’en has a willingness to work hard and follow orders, without a hint of discrimination between colours or ranks. This a first this had given him trouble, for you couldn’t treat a Weyrwoman like you did a fellow dragon rider. Either way he eventually gained his footing as he fitted in well under a supportive Wingleader. His overall persona was one of a follower. But after time he gained confidence to think on his own feet, and served the Weyr well…or so he thought. In truth S’en is a simple man, with simple tastes and a trusting nature. Preferring peace to violence, and truth to lies. His only faults include a lack of confidence in himself, and the tendency to be too trusting at times.
Like his dragon he has a good head on his shoulders, and is often a good one to come to for advice or support. A rider through and through.
History: Father: Seneth, brown rider of Falenth Wingleader in Eastern Weyr. A man well known for his many transfers, but his age and experience was always found to be useful in a new Weyr. S’en often used to see him around, but would often keep his distance. Mother: Unknown. All he knows is she was a rider tragically lost after an accident. Foster mother: Mariena “Mari”, 41, cook/midwife. Foster siblings: J’kai of blue Hyinsinth (21). T’vine of green Pith (25). R’nide of white Querayth (19). Also Mina birth daughter of Mariena (14).
S’en was Weyr born, but like more young born of riders he was soon fostered, and brought up alongside other Weyrbrats. Out of his siblings he’d always be the quietest, (despite being second oldest), and could often be found helping Mari rather than getting into trouble like the others. After standing for 2 hatchings, he impressed on his third at 17 turns, at the same time as J’kai. This brought them closer after all the years and they often supported each other during the laborious training. During the hatching itself, instinctively he’d reached out to catch the falling Folth. Whose talons despite being soft raked all the way down his left inner forearm. Between his tears of joy, and Folth’s panicking but hungry cries, the support of a random bronze rider was a great help to him at the time. In the years to come he never saw the man again, as he worked to prove himself under his fathers eyes. At the age of 19 turns, he found himself as wingsecond under the same bronze rider that’d helped him at the hatching. The man offered him both support and all the training he needed, as well as a good friend and drinking partner. It was during these days that his birth father would occasionally speak with him, if only briefly, to offer advice. One of them included a warning to not trust his so called friend so much.
It was 5 turns later that he found out why. Whether it women or firelizard eggs, his friend started to get edgy, suspicious, but only when S’en was around. It was during this time he’d started to become suspicious himself. As there’d been an increasing number of thefts within the Weyr, and his friends dragon started to become more and more distant. Finally late one evening S’en confronted his friend as they sat alone on the beach, their dozing dragons beside them. At first all was well, then on the mention of missing firelizard eggs the bronze rider became edgy. If only to calm the man down S’en had placed a reassuring hand on the man’s shoulder, in the next instant he’d been slashed across his ribs. Their duel had been brief, both men sustaining injury, their dragons on their hind legs raging, talons bared close to blows…then within an instant it was over. As soon as Folth landed the first strike, patrol from the Weyr including the senior Queen surrounded them. It was over. Life as he knew it was over.
Soon after returning back to the Weyr under guard he fell ill, his blood infected with something that’d been on his friends blade. For months all he remembered was fevered nightmares, his fathers face, and the soothing voice of Folth. Unknown to him that his father struggled with his defence, as his so called friend spun a tight web of lies within the Weyr. Which didn’t help S’en’s case as the Weyr was already sympathetic towards his friend, as his bronze had lost an eye during Folth’s attack. A month later the infection cleared much to the delight of only a select number within the Weyr. Including Folth, his foster mother and siblings, as well as the rare few that trusted his father. Once he was well enough to leave the bed a court was soon called. Lucky for him nobody could prove his guilt, so he was asked to transfer to another Weyr.
So with his features still as gray as Folth’s hide, he left the Weyr in a pitiful state. With packs filled with meagre belongings, a confused mind and a shattered trust. Initially he spent several days on distant beaches preferring only Folth’s company, until his father sought him out. Later that day he found himself flying to Dark Moon Weyr, under the reassurances that it was small and lacked such rogues as his ex Wingleader. This is where his story begins.
Pets: Bronze Firelizard Thon, male, less than a turn old.
Pet Appearance: A small bronze Firelizard, long limbed with a slim body. His smooth hide is dull bronze in colour with distinct golden/bronze patches. Those with a good eye can see that despite his age he will always be a small in size.
Pet Personality: A determined little flier whose always happy to prove himself despite getting confused on the occasion. S'en often comments that the little bronze has a big enough heart and fire to compensate for his small frame. Like any bronze he can be slightly haughty by nature, but otherwise he can often be found clinging onto or close to S'en. Due to his age he still demands feeding, but nowadays he only does so to distract S'en from whatever troubles him.
Pet History: Upon the finding of a new clutch, it was finally S'en's turn as Wingsecond to be presented his own. On that day a couple of Wingleaders had turned down the opportunity, allowing the Wingseconds to draw lots to win one of two eggs. It seemed luck was on S'en's side as he picked out a medium sized egg.
Upon first inspection it was at least a blue, if not a brown. But whatever colour S'en was content and honoured to have one. Much to his delight a sevenday later little Thon hatched a bronze!
Dragon: Brown Folth, 7 turns.
Dragon Appearance: Folth is an average 32 feet mature brown, with a wide wingspan of 57 feet. As a dragonling the imbalance of larger wings had caused some problems, but none of that is seen now. With some training and maturity he’s agile like most browns, with strengths in gliding, quick take off and catching air currents. His weaknesses tends to be stamina, inability to fly during strong winds and inability to take off in tight spaces. But none of this really matters to the dragon who’s pretty content with his body shape and size. To date he’s never risen after a Queen.
His hide is pretty much the same colour as S’en’s hair, but instead of highlights he has distinct dark brown low tones. These are located at the tip of his snout, forelimbs, tail tip and underbelly. His talons are pale brown, his wing membranes a pale opaque ivory, the fingers of his wings a dark chocolate brown. Distinct markings include faint scarring of his left secondary mainsail, and pale claw marks near the tip of his tail.
Dragon Personality: Very down to earth, caring and strangely thoughtful dragon. So much so that even with S’en he’s a dragon of few words, preferring instead to listen on things of interest. Despite this and his other quirks, he’s not a lazy dragon. He just prefers not to rush into things unless the occasion calls for it. Something he often instructs S’en to do as his rider could be rash, but he loves the man no less because of it.
If he had a choice he prefers sunning beside the young or the old, finding them of most interest. Or on the occasion alongside those of similar age. But despite his preferences he doesn’t discriminate between colour, and will willingly offer those of higher rank the respect required, (Even if others don’t offer it in return). Folth overall enjoys challenges, as much as a times of peace. But like all dragons when his rider is threatened or troubled he will becomes rash. Whatever the consequences.
The current S’en: Personality: He plans to work hard and efficiently in the hope of regaining himself and Folth some pride that was lost after the attack. But despite this he’s very much like his younger self again, but more sensitive behind his suspicious barrier. Its going to take a little while for the scars, both mental and physical to heal. But for now he hides them behind masking smiles, and a polite attitude. As he plans to at first keep his distances from others as he seeks to find where he fits in, in the new Weyr.
Appearance: Still pale, his face slightly gaunt but this will soon return to normal thanks to his newly found voracious appetite. He still applies numbweed and bandages round his chest for the previously infected wound still troubles him.
((I plan to him to revert back to his baseline personality and appearance after a week or so, or after he’s settled in a bit.))
