Taweren sat at the lakeside, looking over the cool waters and thinking about his life. Swift was curled up beside him, enjoying the nice soft petting of his human. His eyes still concentrating on the water, Taweren wondered if he would share this with a dragon someday. Would he always be left behind to stand? Taweren sighed as he looked onward.
"I won`t give up Swift. I know my dragon is here, somewhere. I just have to wait for it." He told the feline. Swift yawned and gave a short 'mrow' before closing his eyes again.

Taweren was not the only one at the lake. Catilena, too, paid the quiet place a visit. She had finished her chores for now and decided she wanted to go somewhere to spend time with her little brown. Her mind swirled with blues and greens and she carefully plucked Mosaic off her shoulders, carrying him in her arms instead. Mosaic trilled as he filled her head with green. Smiling, she sat down not too far away from Taweren and mothered the little brown, playing with him and cooing at him.
"Mosaic you are such a doll! You are so sweet and so wonderful!" She told the little brown. Mosaic cheeped at her and nuzzled into her chest with her arms supporting him.

Lirae and Tiano ran as quickly as their short little legs could carry them, squeaking and screeching as they made their way down to the lake. Normally they would never stray so far from Exarin, but he had someone to guide him at the moment so they weren’t needed. Instead, they were having fun being chased by Colvarinth. The gold dragon wasn’t quite sure what to think of the tunnelcats but found them to be somewhat amusing and now thought of them as her very own play toys. Little did she know that the tunnelcats thought of her as the same.
Faine grinned as she watched the gold stamp her feet as she went after the smaller critters before turning her attention back to the man beside her. Exarin and she were arm in arm, Faine was being his eyes for their walk down to the lake. With most people back in time, the redhead had sought out people to meet and greet and ended up befriending Exarin. They made a pretty decent team; Exarin needed a guide and Faine liked having someone with her. “There are others at the lake!” She beamed at the man, her fingers gripping on his arm in excitement.
Exarin was enjoying the company of the gold weyrling. While Tiano and Lirae were rather good guides, they were still animals and he always felt a bit guilty about them being his eyes instead of playing around. This gave them a nice little break, though it took them a while to get used to Faine. Plus it was also nice to have someone who talked back instead of chirped. “Ah, yes. I think I can hear them.” His cloudy eyes scanned the lake even though all he saw was black. His ears could hear voices, though they were rather soft so he wasn’t quite sure if he recognized them or not. “Thank you for taking me down to the lake; I was getting bored wandering around the corridors.” Exarin laughed softly as they reached their destination.
Faine said nothing, simply grinned before lifting her arm to wave at Catilena. “One of my friends is here, so you can meet her. That’s alright, right?” She practically wriggled in happiness as Exarin nodded. “Hello Catilena!”
Tiano and Lirae darted away from Colvarinth as the gold dragon playfully snapped at their long tails. The tunnelcats stepped over each other and squealed with delight as they darted towards Taweren, burying themselves between the boy and the feline. The gold stopped in front of the lad and snorted disapprovingly. Hiding from her was a cheap tactic, she thought. Those are mine. She said rather haughtily, daring the boy to disagree.
