Terran Weyr
Avis was found nigh on a century ago and stopped the threat of Thread, or it least that was what we believe. With little to no purpose left, dragonriders were all but forget. We are a dying race now. Three turns before the Redstar became a threat again a hidden chamber was found with images and coordinates for where we can find the home world of our ancestors. We began to organize an exploration team, but it wasn't supposed to happen like this. You see, Thread began to fall earlier than we expected and there were not enough dragons left alive to fight it. We could only cut our losses and hope that the coordinates correct and the images accurate. We could only hope that we would make it safely to the home of our ancestors and we could only pray that one day we would make it back home.
Twenty candidates and as many crafters and Master Crafters were spread through out the dragons and then several riders sacrificed themselves making a clear area for the others to get the altitude to jump between. No one knew where we were going or if we would live until ten dragons appeared above the wilds of Terran.
The densely forested area would be our home. We started off by finding a natural cave system that would have to serve as our weyr. There was even a cavern heated by a Volcano. It would due. It would have to, but it would never be like home. A few days later the one Gold that made it, Clirth, rose and was caught by the only remaining Bronze, (Name to be added once a Bronzerider has been accepted). It was only the seclusion of the area that kept them from being discovered then.
When the eggs were laid there were more than twenty that were clearly strong and healthy. Still more that may or may not hatch. It was among the largest clutches the recent history of Pern had seen.. But this wasn't Pern. Where would we get candidates for such a large clutch? Oh how things have gone so wrong. I only hope that we made the right decision.
The First Weyrwoman of Terran,
Rina of Gold Clirth
