Anassa checked one more time to see if the lad was secure in the straps behind her. "You can hold on to my waist. It can be a bit unsettling if this is your first time adragonback."
Ready?
"Ready Priath." She told the dragon aloud so that the boy could hear that they were about to take off. The dragon's lithe body surged into the air and Anassa could feel the muscles bunch and contract in her dragon's frame. A few hard wingbeats and the green cleared the rim of the Bowl. She bugled to the watchdragon.
Warn him that we are going *between*
"We are about to go *between.* Priath, take us to Caspian. [/color]
The dragon winked between. 1....2....3... Black, blacker blackest
The warmth of the Southern air hit Anassa like a welcome blast. She shivered. It had been a short hop between, the space of three breaths, but it was always bone chillingly cold.
"All's well?" She asked, twisting to see the lad's face. "Just nod yes or no." Priath spiraled down to land in the Hold courtyard, bugling to announce her presence. She was a rather vain dragon at times.
Anassa unhooked the straps from her belt and slid from the dragon after helping the lad out of the straps. "I'll just hand over the papers to your Station Master and then drop my message off to Southern Hold. I should be back in about twenty minutes, maybe less. If you need more time to get ready to leave, I can wait."

[Gah, I didn't even see this. Sorrryyy This weekend I probably won't get much posting in though. Gonna be a tiny bit reckless (not as reckless as Akki though I promise) ]
Naret had watched the feline on the ground as the dragon took off, gripping with his legs to secure himself at the sudden lurch (he'd ridden Runners before, so there was at least some similarity). When the rider leaned back to tell him they were going between he looked forward and gave a nod. Even before he'd finished the nod, though, the world had gone black, cold, empty. He felt his breath hitch in his lungs at the lack of air, couldn't breathe for a moment, and then everything came flooding back and his hold was stretched out below them. The sun was still high in the sky and it's warmth felt like it was fighting a war to get into his skin.
Naret looked forward again when the rider looked back and asked the question. He realized then that he'd been staring a bit blankly after the experience, but he gave her a smile and a nod and a thumbs up. He looked down once more when the dragon bugled out, curious as to what the whers would make of it. Once they were on the ground and he was unstrapped he brushed himself off and took a moment to get used to ground beneath his feet once more. He nodded to Anassa again when she told him what she would be doing, and then nodded again when she gave the time frame. He could be ready by then. He was a runner, so he only owned the essentials anyway, and really only had a few other things he kept at the station.
Naret jogged off after giving Anassa a wave and head into the station, (forgive me here, I think they have rooms? not sure. bear with me xD) and then made his way up to his room. Once there he took out his larger bag, not for deliveries, and put in it his changes of clothes and the extra care products that he kept, the little healing packets they were given, salves and the like - the few shower products he had, too. Even after that he had a bit of extra time, and so stopped down by the kitchen to get a bit of raw meat for the flit that was once again sending him hungry vibes and wriggling around in his pouch. Once he had that, he went outside to wait for the rider and sat against the outside wall. He let the little flit out for now, to stretch his wings (not that he was flying yet) and legs while he fed the little bronze.

Anassa hurried into the Station Master's office and squared away the boy's transfer papers. She tucked the hide into her belt and then returned to Priath. She leapt lightly up onto the dragon's forearm and swung herself onto the dragon's back. Priath bunched her hindquarters and jumped into the air, her marbled hide shining darkly in the sun as she swept her wings downward.
Anassa gave her the coordinates and the green winked between. The dragon bugled to the watch dragon from Southern Weyr who was doing double duty as both hold and Weyr's watch dragon. She went into the Hold to give her message and wait for the reply.
"Miss, I think there has been a mistake. We have no knowledge of a runner named Naret," the steward returned and held out the hide.
"Oh! Those are the transfer papers for a young runner who was searched by my dragon today," she fished out the correct hide from her belt pouch and handed it to the steward after looking at it to make sure it was the right one. "Here is the right one."
The steward left, and then returned after a few minutes with the response. Anassa accepted the hide and then returned to mount her dragon. She didn't like the fact that she had just enough time to warm up before having to go between again, but she was accustomed to it.
When she returned, she saw Naret waiting on the wall with a little flitt. "Ready to go lad?"

The flit had begun to settle down a bit after scampering around Naret in his freedom for a good fifteen minutes. Just as the bronze started to show interest in curling up on Naret's shoe, he looked up at the sound of a watch dragon calling out. The reaction caught the boy's attention and he looked up in time to see the familiar green coming in for a landing. He swiftly (but gently) scooped the tiny bronze up and got to his feet, carefully securing him back into the pouch at his side when the question was put out in the air.
Naret looked over to Anassa and smiled, giving a quick nod in answer. He stooped for a moment to gather his bag, slung it over his shoulder, and then turned his attention to the Green Rider to show that he was ready to go when she was.

"Is that all you have?" she eyed the shoulder sack skeptically. "You can bring more with you. We won't make you leave anything behind. But if that is all you have, we'll have to speak to the Headwoman to see that you are provided with more clothes and what you will need as a Candidate. We keep spares and you will just have to do some chores to work for them."
She helped him up onto the dragon. "Tap my shoulder when you're ready to launch." After he had given her the signal, Priath sprang into the air, spiraling up into the cloudy sky. It looked like Caspian would get some rain that day.
"I accidentally gave your transfer papers to the Steward to give to the Lord Holder. He brought it back saying that they knew nothing about a runner called Naret. It was a bit amusing. Well, we're about to go *between* now. Get a good look at Caspian, you probably won't see it for a while."
After a few moments, the green took them into the void. She re-emerged over the weyr and bugled her happiness to be back home. The trio of dragons that had been preparing to go to gather supplies were already gone.
OOC: Maybe they could be in the Bowl with Anassa showing him around when the dragons return from between times?

OOC: I'm going to tell Lee to hold off on starting that new thread until we can get everyone back in and start a reaction to the timing it. We need to get that in motion because technically all the newcomers should be coming after that.
