Kalaht didn't understand why he was not training with the others like he should. Just because he was wounded, did not mean he could still run. He was knifed in the shoulder, not the leg. There was nothing wrong with his legs.
Kalaht gazed at the other riders and dragons swimming, with a disgusted look. He sighed and shook his head as he now thought the hope of being a dragonrider was unattainable. He narrowed his eyes and put his head down.
A bigger boy approached with a nasty disposition. He saw a Kalaht there, confused. Instead of talking to him, he attacked him. He shoved him hard against the wall. Kalaht bit his arm and he shouted in pain and let go. Kalaht went between his legs.
"Oh no you don't!" the bigger boy exclaimed. He dragged him up in a dangling position eye to eye. Kalaht smiled and punched him hard, causing him to let go. Kalaht fell on the ground on his side then he leg swept him. The bigger boy fell with a 'BOOM'. Kalaht laughed, out of breath. The bigger boy was not phased and got back up.
"You will pay for that!" he poised the knife to strike his solar plexus.

Relina was in the process of playing with Soranith when she heard shouting nearby. She saw a large boy come and attack Kalaht and she felt outraged.
Soranith, stay here, I`ll be right back. I need to tend to something.
Something is wrong? Soranith asked her.
Just stay, I promise I'll call you if I need you. Relina told her as she ran to Kalaht's aid.
"Hey! What in Faranth's name do you think you are doing?" She called, side-slamming the boy away from Kalaht. She mentally called Zorn and Rhythm who promptly arrived, chittering wildly from the excitement they felt from Relina, and they circled around madly. Relina then stood between Kalaht and his attacker and glared.
"Get out of here now before I sic my dragon on you!" She threatened, hoping he would take her bluff.

Kegin was headed to the Lake to cool off after working out. He was kind of tired and wanted to relax. But of course it never went that way. He saw the confrontation and sighed. WHy did it always go this way for him. He saw the girl and got angry. He never liked a man that would stand to a woman. It made him feel embarrassed to be called a man. Kegin went up to the other two and looked at the larger man. "Mind if I help. I would enjoy a good scrap. It might not be much of a workout with someone as small as him."
Kegin grinned. He moved in front of the two slightly so the man would need to get threw him first. "How good are you with those knives?" he asked. "Pray you are better then the ones I am used to Fighting. If not I will kill you quick." Kegin chuckled and got ready to fight.

Relina looked at Kegrin and cleared her throat.
"Fight only if you have no other option. Kill if you are in danger of dying yourself. I was doing just fine on my own and I have two fire-lizards going mad. Do not do anything foolish, for only a deadglow would fight outnumbered. You need not waste the energy." She said.
Mine feels nervous, mine feels fear, I shall come help. Soranith said worriedly.
No, stay. I am just fine. I am nervous because I do not know where this is going to go and scared for the boy who was hurt. I am not hurt, I am in no true danger, you stay where you are love, I fear even a dragon your age should not get caught in a crossfire in a situation of this size.
I worry for you, I come! Soranith insisted.
If you must know what is happening, keep in touch with me and follow the events that way, I do not wish for you to be here right now, you are MY only concern. Do not fret, stay. Relina told her, reinforcing her will on the green. After a moment, Soranith relented.
I stay, I watch, I wait. She said, and Relina saw the small form of her dragon, who did not move, at a reasonable distance. If something were to happen, Relina could easily move quickly enough to block the attackers way to Soranith. If he tried to hurt her, he would have to get through Relina and the fire-lizards first, and that would be quite a sight to behold.

The large boy narrowed his eyes and rushed Kegin. He wasn't really prepared of what Kegin had in store. The boy always fought the small and weak. Now he was up again a dragonrider AND an experienced knife fighter? It would better to take down the female first then the small one and leave the knife fighter alone. He wasn't really good at the knives, he wasn't good at much of anything. He was chubby and large. He was somewhat fit and could take her. He avoided Kegin as much as possible. His goal was to get Kalaht even more wounded than he was. That way it would permanently prevent him from being a dragonrider.
He gave Kegin a wide birth and tried to sneak in from the side. He approached Kalaht and stabbed his right hand and he buried it so that the knife went through his hand. Kalaht screamed in agony and pain. The boy grinned wickedly and laughed.

Relina growled and rushed to him. Zorn and Rhythm grew angry from Relina's influence and flew low enough to the attackers head, whipping in and out from between and trying to scratch him with their tiny claws. Relina jumped in and kneed him before punching his throat.
"What in the name of the Queen are you doing? Get over here and help me!" She yelled at Kegin. She grabbed the attacked and stood behind him and put her arms under his, wrapping them around his armpits.
"Get him now!" She said.

Kegin glared at the boy. He hated those who attacked the weak. Kegin moved quick. The moment Relina had the boy Kegin got to his arm and somehow had that knife from Kalaht's hand to the boy's throat. "Give me one reason I shouldn't slit your throat." he said. Kegin's anger was seething. His eyes burned a with hatred. He would not miss the chance to kill this one. He was too much like his brother.
He looked at Relina, "Let him go. Get the other to the Healer. I can handle this deadglow. It will be fun. Besides I believe if any found you here they might misunderstand and think you put your dragonet in danger. Please go." He looked back at the Bully. "Do you think you can keep up with me, i will even give you your knife back." he said with a grin.

The large boy sighed as he knew he was going to pay with his life. He tried a kick to the face. He knew that he would be killed.
"I have no reason. Just that -you- stand in the way from that wherry-brained coward." Kalaht heard that. "I am not a coward! I wanna fight him! Let me show you. I'll show you I am not a coward!" Even wounded, Kalaht had spirit. "I can take him!"
"Your brother said the same thing when I slit his throat!" he growled, trying to get Kalaht to fight. Uncontrollable rage seeped into Kalaht's body. He started charged the large boy. "It was you! You killed my brother!!! Your death is me!"

Relina let the boy go and immediately grabbed ahold of Kalaht, pulling him away.
"Choose your time and place! You are too badly hurt right now, come on, we need to get you out of here." Relina said sternly, pulling him away from the scene.
What has happened? You are safe? Soranith asked her. While pulling the furious Kalaht, Relina answered her.
Do not worry, everything is fine. Just do not worry. Stay here, enjoy the lake. I shall be back momentarily. She said, trying to sound cheerful, her dragon would not be fooled.
I come with you. Soranith said, awkwardly running up to join Relina and the firelizards as they escorted Kalaht to the healers.

Kegin knew vengeance. When the kick came Kegin moved in and got around the leg and took the bully by the throat and easily threw him to the ground. "Well now, you are one for killing others. Now i really can enjoy this. You see you remind me of someone I know. So I will not feel bad for killing you." For some reason Kegin began to look a bit like his older brother. His eyes were cold and wanting to kill. Kegin grinned, "So how would you like to be ended?"
Kegin was strong from working on Metal for turns. He began to squeeze his throat with one hand. It was a grip that felt like it was becoming attacked. He was going to squeeze the life out of him slowly. "Well then I will enjoy this."

"Let me go! Let go of me!!" Kalaht screamed out in vengeance. "Kill him! Kill him since I can not!!" Kalaht yelled. "Tommy!!!!" then came the tears. Overwhelming sadness enveloped him. "Tommy." he said again. This incident had changed Kalaht for the worse, not for the better. "I want to watch." He stood his ground and saw Kegin at the the boy's throat. "I need to. Please?"
Kalaht was not himself. He was crazed with vengeance. He pleaded with Kegin that he would watch him drain the life out of the bully. He didn't know what he was saying or doing. Everything seemed muffled, like people talking in a pillow. It was weird. He normally didn't act this way. His brother had just been killed. That pained him to no end.

(OOC: I personally do NOT want this plot to continue until I am sure you have Hawk's FULL permission. Murder in Pern is a very serious thing, even if it is justified. Do NOT kill the attacker unless Hawk gives the ok!)
Relina stopped where she was and held Kalaht steady. She sighed from exhaustion and tired to figure out what to do.
"Stop! If you kill him, you won`t be any better than he. Someone get the Weyrwoman, quickly!" She yelled. Relina was at a loss of what to do.

(OOC: I wasn't going to kill him Just scare and then turn over.) IC: Kegin blinked and looked at the bully. He looked at Relina and turned a little red. He felt embarrassed that he was acting like this. He picked up the bully and held the bullies arms behind his back. He kept an eye on him. "Keep yourself under control or you might get hurt." he took a breath to calm him self more. He almost turned into his brother and it kind of scared him. kegin looked at Relina, "Get him to a healer and tell a guard about this one. I will keep him here." he said. He looked at Kalaht, "Sorry for not seeing him with the knife. I didn't think he would try with others around." Kegin had an apologetic look.

(OOC: *sigh* Phew, don`t scare me like that, good Faranth!)
Relina relaxed a little and sighed in relief, tensing up again to reinforce her hold on Kalaht.
"As for you, there will be justice, but now is not the time, nor the place. We will deal with this when we can, as for you, you are in need of a healer, come now." She said sternly, steadily returning to her normal, slightly cold self. She began walking the boy to the healer.
Mine is alright? You are stressed, I do not understand. Soranith said, nuzzling her side comfortingly. Relina was relieved by the entry of her dragon.
I am fine, just tired. I will want to sleep after this, will you join me? Relina asked her.
Always. Was Soranith's response as they made their way.

Kalaht's eyes were on the bully for a moment and then Kegin. He nodded his head toward Relina. He walked to Kegin with an outstretched and for a hand shake.
"I am Kalaht. Thank you both for coming to my rescue." He blinked as he calmed down. He saw more himself. "If you hadn't come along, Faranath knows what would happened. I'd probably be tried and then would definitely lose my Candidacy. For that, I am eternally grateful. I am in your debt." Kalaht said, bowing to them both. He let Relina help him to the healer.
Kalaht was a polite and intelligent. Normally he would never hurt a fly. Under the circumstances, he would hurt the bigger boy for obvious reasons. His brother, Tommy was a Hold Guard at Azvon. He was famous for getting the right man but he had to be cautious. Kalaht loved his brother very much and would do anything for him. Now that Tommy is dead, Kalaht felt lost.

Kegin made sure the bully couldn't move. He took Kalaht's hand. "Kegin." he said. "Just be sure you can stand. The worst is to be a Candidate but watching others stand that isn't you." He gave a friendly smile. He looked at Relina, "Please get him out of here. I don't really feel like braking bones if this one tried to attack again."
Kegin wasn't a large guy but he did have muscle. He took hold of the Bullies arm and began to drag him to where the Guards or Riders could be found. If the boy continued to cause problems he won't for long.
