Tali was doing her usual chores when a dolphin came up with a rider on top. It was her mother. She had found her!
"What are you -doing- here, Tali? Do you realize what you have done to your father?" Tali eyes grew wide and she started to panick. "Yes, Tali, I know you have killed your father and I'm here to turn you in."
"You will never take me, alive!" Tali hissed. She pulled her knife out. "Don't make me use this, mother." she growled. "Even though I still loved my father, I had to. It was either him or me. I have no remorse to doing the deed."
"You're a monster!" her mother exclaimed.
"Hardly!" she chuckled. "You haven't met the gang if you think that." She gave a twisted smile.
Her mother looked at her. "What kind of trouble are you in?"
"Why should I tell you!
Admin's Note:[/hr] You're the one who left without saying goodbye!"She narrowed her eyes. "You were the the left me to die! You were the one who didn't care! What make you think that I would want to go with you knowing you want to turn me in!
Admin's Note:[/hr] No, I am happy here. He provides me with all I need."
"Who He?" she asked.
"Nevermind that." she siad.
"Come on, Talavi. You are coming with me. We'll fix your little problem through the system."
"Problem?"She chuckled. "Problem? Problem!

Admin's Note:[/hr] You think I have a problem. Heh. That's funny." she cracked her neck and
said. "YOUR the problem!" Then turned her head and called behind her...
"I think I found you someone to play with, sir!" She called. She knew He was around somewhere. He was always watching everything. She turned around and scanned the trees, slowly.
"Have a nice death, mother." She said as she backed away and walked off. She sheathed her knife.
"Have a nice dea-
Admin's Note:[/hr] Tali, what on -" Her mother started to ask.
"Shut up before I slice your tongue clean off!" Tali shouted. "I'm sick of your voice. Good bye, mother dear."

Rogin was indeed watching. And so was Konta. After the incident with Quynn Konta won't leave his side. But it didn't matter. Rogin moved out of hiding and walked forward. "And what do we have here?" he asked. "Another has wondered into my Forest." he said. "You go home." he said to Talavi.

"I am home. She wants to turn me in so if I go with her, I'll be in a cell, rotting away for the rest of eternity. She knows. I am not about to throw my life away when I have so much to learn, sir. I -want- to stay. If I go with her, then I might as will be dead. I have come to realize that I-I will give my life to you and all whose in this. I have come to realize that I have friends here and I'm wanted. That means more to me than anything. I had to kill my father or I'd be next. You don't what it's like to be on the run from a child abuser. It's a nightmare. I still have dreams about him." Tali shivered. "I only tried to escape because Veran scared the living egg out of me. I -want- to learn from you and all who are here. I want to be with you, fight by your side eventually and prove to you that I am worth a shards to keep around." Tali would not cry. She would show him how strong she was. She closed her eyes and tried to hold the tears back.
"You don't want me here, do you? You want me gone? Then kill me." She walked front of Him and showed Him her throat. "I would rather die then to be in a cell, rotting away."
Her mother was shocked and sighed.
"Come on, Tali. Its time to go."
"NO!!! No one wants me. See, I told you. You and the others..." she was crying now. "I thought you were my friends, my family. Family don't do this to each other! You betrayed me...." her anger built. "I thought you...of all people...would understand my pain but no you're like -everyone- else. How could you?" The tears were real. "If I'm not wanted her, then I'm not wanted anywhere!" She drew her knife in front Rogin. "If you will not have me, than no one will!" She ran off. This time, towards the trees. She found a spot and sat down.
"I won't be missed. Rogin already knows that I'm a flight risk. Besides there's that Quynn fellow. I'll be replaced. Who wants someone that runs away all time? My mother doesn't care about me....Rogin doesn't. Nobody does. I am going to be unwanted anywhere I go." She said. "I'm a coward." She punshed the dirt. She growled in fury. "Why doesn't He understand that I was starting to give a crap about everything that goes on? He betrayed me. He doesn't want me, I am useless to Him. My father, he didn't want me...he wanted to kill me. I am a nobody, no use to anyone. I wish I was dead." She stood up and felt the bitterness and the spite start to well up inside her. "I was the one who warned them about the dragon." She climbed a nearby tree and waited. She didn't know what or who she was waiting for, perhaps Death himself to appear. She sighed and fell asleep. Maybe when she awoke, she wouldn't care anymore about anything. "No life..." she murmered in her sleep.

Rogin listened and waited for her to stop speaking. Then he saw her leave and sighed. He looked at Konta and the larger man left. Konta found Talavi with ease. "What are you doing? Rogin told you to go home. And if memory serves you have many floors to scrub. Now go back home before I decide you need to see Veran."
Rogin looked back to Talavi's mother. "Now where were we?" he asked. His eyes set on her and her dolphin. "So you are a Dolphineer. Why do you want your daughter back now? You are no longer her family. She is where she belongs. We are her real family. Now you can either leave and be in one piece or stay and risk me having my way with you.
Admin's Note:[/hr]" Rogin chuckled and his eyes watched her, looking her over.

"My own my mother wants to turn me in, Konta. I don't care anymore about anything" She sighed. "I don't want to go back with her. That's why I ran off. I run from everything. I even tried to escape once and couldn't even do that. I'm not brave enough, sir. I ran from my father, from Veran and now this. She left me to die in the hands of a man I lothed for so long for that I will never forgive her. She has to be dealt with and I must deal with it. I didn't mean to bring her here. Actually, I forgot about her. I run and hide."
"I want to get to the point where I am right there by His side. I'm scared, sir with this new life and sending me to Veran...well....that man terrifies me, won't help. I just too unpredicatable." She said as she was playing with her knife. "I love to enflict pain on others..." she smirked. "I'm twisted enough, sir. I don't need help in that department." She came down. "I should apologize to father. Of the things I said." She headed towards the spot where Rogin was.
"He's right you know. You are not my family. You are dead to me and you must be dealt with." Then she turned to Him. "I was angry at her and I took out on the one person I respect the most and for that I apologize." She kissed him on the cheek. She cracked her neck. She looked up into Rogin's eyes and walked towards the caves. She turned and threw her knife at her mother. It hit her dead on in the shoulder. Her mother cried in pain.
"That's for everything you didn't do." She approached her and took her knife back and cleaned it with a damp cloth. "I could have twist that knife in your shoulder. Be glad I didn't. I wounded it for you. It can't go far if it decides to run." She gave Him a twisted smile. "Do with her what you will. I don't know her. Sever all ties, sir. It has done me wrong, make her suffer for the crimes she has commited. It had the audicity to come and desrespect you in our home. Then, it tried to take me from this place, away from you." Her voice was cold, heartless. A glint of mischief was in her eye. "I can't wait to fight by your side, father. I will prove to you that I am not a coward." she whispered in His ear. She sheathed her knife. Before she walked off..
"Oh, and enjoy yourself." she smiled again that twisted, sick smile. "I would stay and watch but there is much to be done." she sighed and walked off.
Tali's mother stared at her daughter in disbelief as she walked off. She was knocked over with Tali's knife. Now she was on the ground.
"I am not leaving without Tali. I came back because I want to turn her in. Tali, darling...."
"Shut up! I meant what I said. Don't push me. What part of 'not your family' did you not understand? I will cut your tongue out so no one can her you scream. You make me insane with your constant voice. No, better yet...I'll take away your voice!" She approached her mother and grabbed her tougue with one hand and the other her knife. The blade touched her left side of her tongue. She took her knife and moved it to the throat. She looked at Rogin.
Tali's mother was just terrified. She laughed.
"She's scared of me."

Rogin looked at her. He was not pleased with Talavi. "You have not earned the privledge. Go to Veran and give him every knife you own. I will have him deal with you. You are only a drudge. Begin acting like it. Now go home. Leave the woman untouched. Hurry before you anger me any further." Rogin glared at both women.
Konta looked at Talavi and sighed. It was sad to see Talavi like this. He wanted her to be happy. She was a sister to him just as Tia is. He enjoys the presence of females around the group. She will learn in time how to adjust.

Tali glared at her mother and kicked at her and as passed Rogin.
"Yes, sir." was all she said and walked off. A look of disappointment across her face. She was capable of so much more than just drudge work. She found Veran and took all of her knives and and threw them at his feet. There were 4 of them. She looked up and the look was enough.
"Father told me to reliquish all my knives to you." she didn't have to say anything more.

Veran looked at her and tilted his head. "So you have caused more trouble." He said. Veran looked her in the eyes. "Are you getting tired of the drudge work?" he asked. "Or tired of being Rogin's disappointment?"
Rogin looked at her mother. "Are you not proud of what yoru daughter has become?" he asked. Rogin moved forward. "She is such a dear. But alas many a time I am disappointed. She does not wish to advance or she would use her head. Does not learn. But after her punishment she will never wish to fail me again. Now then what shall I do with you?"

"Let me tell you something about her, she will surprise you one day as I was surprise she did what she did to me and her dad. She came be difficult sometimes but with someone like you, I believe she can accomplish anything. She doesn't think much of herself. Poor girl has low self-esteem, she needs confidence to do her work or she doesn't do it. Be patient with her. I can tell she wants to please you so bad. She has murdered her father. What do you think?"
Her mother put her hand on shoulder as she cleaned her wound and bandaged it up.
"Tali must be turned in for what she has done and I am not leaving." She was still laying on the ground, her back against a tree.

"Both, actually." she said, plainly. It was all she said. "I diasppoint Father so much. Why does He keep me around?"

Veran smiled to her. It wasn't a nice smile but not twisted either. "Because he is like us. Unwanted. No family. So he created his own and takes in those that are like himself. That is why we follow him so loyally. Because he knows our pain. Do your drudge work without complaint. Work hard and pass his tests and the trouble will be well worth it. But for now I must punish you for displeasing him. One thing though. The punishments he puts you through is to make you stronger. So none can break your spirits. None can make you talk against him. And none can easily kill you without you wanting to. My torture lets you keep fighting even when gravely wounded. He is hard on you because he loves you."
Rogin looked at her mother. She was quite the looker. He wouldn't mind a roll in the furs with her. Maybe he would have fun. "I will not be surprised and she will not be turned it. Your husband was to die anyways. he attacked me, the fool, and I let Talavi end him so she may break her chains." Rogin began to approach her. He smiled as he knelt down. "Allow me."

Tali nodded, silently.She closed her eyes and gulped. She approached him. She sighed and went inside the cave when she stopped.

Veran took her knives and went inside with her. He took out his own knives and smiled at her. He took Talavi into the cave to his room. He moved her to the wall where there was ropes. He tied her to the wall and then gave her something to bite on. "Use this. You don't want to break your teeth.
Once she was ready Veran began to torture her. Slow and as painful as possible. Since she was part of the family the torture wasn't meant to slowly kill. It trained her body to withstand pain. To grow stronger. Tougher. But he enjoyed it all the same.

She opened her mouth. Tali allowed him to tie her up and sighed and nodded. The first time she got into trouble, she thrashed around, hating to be tied down. Now she was still as can be. Watching Veran, the man that was death. She watched his every moved, even tied. Disappointment in herself was still in her eyes and a sadness with a lot of anger, directed at nobody at many things.

Veran spoke to her as he worked. He spoke of how the torture bound the family together. Even in discipline you strengthen the family. Of how the family is only as strong as it's members. That to make the family stronger then we must become stronger. "Remember that Rogin loves you and that is why he keeps you. We are one family so we must never act on our own. If ever a problem arises then come to the family and we shall aid you."

Tali beared down on the stick and let out a painful yell but it was muffle. She listened to his voice, what he said and this time, she was to learn from it. Her body jumped at his work. Her breathless shouts of pain. Cries of terror and the feel his cold steel on her flesh was enough for her to make her skin shiver.

Veran continued his work. Each cut he told her why he did it. He told her the purpose of each mark, where not to cut, where it would kill and where it would just torment. His knife finally stopped it's art and he looked a her. He took the stick from her mouth. the blood was beginning to flow down her body. Veran began to untie her and laid her on the furs. There he began to tend to his masterpiece. "Have you learned anything from this?" he looked at her and smiled. "Now relax." he rubbed salve on her and let the air flow over her. Now of course she had to lay on the furs wearing nothing except the furs to cover any private areas. "I will be back in a bit. I will bring you food. Do not move too much." he said. Veran left the room after.
Rogin wanted to be sure everything was going well with the punishment and went to Veran's room. He walked in and found himself looking at a naked Talavi. he stopped and starred. "Is everything going well? Where has Veran gone?"

Breathless she answered Him.
"He went to bring food." It took awhile for her to catch her breath. "He'll be back, Father. I can tell you something I will never again disappoint you. This is the last time, the very last time...I sware. I have learned. Granted it was the hard way but I have learned never to cross you again. I will work for you, without complaint. No more playing. There is much work to be done but little time to do it. I will remember what needs to be done and how to do it. You love me and I am so very sorry I betrayed your trust. I will have to work that much harder to gain your trust back...I will do anything you say. Anything. Just let me stay. Please." Tali's voice. It changed a little. It was only slightly but a change nonetheless.
It was more submissive instead of more demanding. She learned not to cry. Her whole body stung like a million Tunnelsnakes were biting her. She was exhausted. "Rogin, am I still yours?" She saw the bloody marks on her body. She cursed this day. There were no tears. Only pain, agonizing pain.

Rogin looked at her and smiled tenderly. Only his people have seen the softer side of him. "Of course you can stay. If I wanted you to leave then there would be no reason to punish you. You are still mine. I am glad you have learned from this." Rogin walked over and knelt down next to her. "We shall get you well once more. Then we shall see what I can do with you. You are very useful to me and I need you Talavi. So rest and heal. Veran will be back soon. Now I must go back to what i must do." he said.

Tali smiled softly.
"Thank you, Father. You have put mind at ease. I will get better, you'll see. The problem was I was so used to doing thing my way all the time and it was difficult to adjust, it still is." She chuckled a little and then she fell asleep.

Rogin smiled at her. "Now things are to be done my way. Sleep well." he said. When she fell asleep he left the room. Veran returned moments later and continued to deal with her. Veran kept his touch gentle. Now that her punishment was over he had no need to act like his torturous self.
